Do you feel like you are a cluttery person? My husband will confirm that I am a bit cluttery when it comes to certain areas of our house. You wouldn't believe it if you popped in unexpectedly because I'm relatively good at keeping certain areas, like my living room and kitchen clutter-free. But go further in, and you'll definitely see spaces that have built-up stuff and junk that makes me feel overwhelmed and unsettled.Clutter happens in our heads, as well. I should, I need to, I wish I had, all these words can junk up our minds and leave our souls feeling restless. My guest today, Sonya Mack, is here to help us ditch the mental clutter and living into something bigger God created us for. As a physician assistant, she helps people's bodies heal, but as a life coach, she helps busy moms fight the emotional and mental clutter so they can live a relaxed, empowered, and joy-filled life.We discuss:How our emotional health influences our physical healthDitching the mental clutter and living into what God has for usMaintaining joy and clarity after clearing the mental clutterSonya's Live Joy Life programGet your Live Joy Life principles hereGet Sonya's Book: This Changes Everything: When Death No Longer Has the Final SayConnect with Sonyawww.sonyajoymack.comInstagram: @sonyajoymackFacebook: Sonya Joy Mack AuthorSonya Joy Mack is the CEO and Lead Life Coach of The LIVE JOY LIFE, an organization that empowers busy mom professionals to banish the busy and mental clutter and live the “something bigger” God created them for. Mattie Jackson | In-Joy LifeMattie Jackson is not only Alan Jackson's daughter, she is one of the most inspirational women that I have had the pleasure of interviewing. As Mattie talks about her book, Lemons on Friday, she talks about the vulnerability of losing her husband, being a young widow, and walking with God through it all. Mattie talks through the struggles, the battles, the valleys, and brings her heartache to the light, through communication, and sharing her story. In the Midst of grief and loss, Mattie talks about the hard questions, and finding her way through, only with God. Lemons on Friday is truly an encouraging book to read, but most of all the author is authentic, vulnerable, and real about her journey. Mattie says, "I am here to walk with all those who have lost husbands, lost love, lost hope, lost anything. I am here to encourage you – be honest about your pain at the same time you trust in the Lord to heal what seems unhealable. I am here to share stories of women facing all kinds of sorrow and celebration in this messy life; from loss to gain, from struggle to success. We all have a story, and very likely, one that if it were shared, could help turn someone else's story from broken to beautiful."LISTEN NOW ______________From In Lemons on Friday description; Mattie Jackson Selecman invites you to walk with her during the first years of grief following Ben's tragic death as she grapples with her loss and leans on a steadfast God.Mattie wrestles with questions that we've all faced in the midst ofin the LOOP Podcast hosted by Jordan Jo Hollabaugh, is inspired by the western culture and breakaway roping lifestyle. Ep. 48 (Part 3 of 3) | “Don't miss it!” says James Baraz, author of Awakening Joy and creator of the very intriguing 5-month Awakening Joy course. “Don't miss it'' refers to the present moment—the gladness, the beauty, the uniqueness. James explains that in order to awaken our joy, we need to savor the wholesome moments and not turn away distracted, slipping back into our habitual mental ruts. James' teachings take us deeply into states like gratitude and compassionate presence, to where we can focus our attention on how it feels to feel good somatically, thereby creating new neural pathways that strengthen awareness and aliveness. James has witnessed a lot of people learn to love themselves and turn their lives around as a result of this teaching. Why are we the last ones to see the goodness inside ourselves? he wonders. How can we so radically underestimate ourselves? Rest in the landscape of gratitude when James guides a short meditation in part 2, and be inspired that transformational change is indeed possible for all of us—to where we can know the joy of loving ourselves, of connecting with others, the joy of letting go, of service, and the joy of simply being—as we undertake the fundamental experiment of discovering who we really are. Recorded September 14, 2022. “A simple shift of perspective is transformative.” (For Apple Podcast users, https://deeptransformation.io/james-baraz-3-awakening-joy-life-skills-living-loving-enjoying-serving-life (click here to view the complete show notes on the episode page.)) ‘Hevel…' Vanity…Smoke…Mist…Breath… If these things represent the transience of life, and if they represent the transience of the experiences life has to offer, then Solomon wants to be sure we're not chasing after the wrong things. Solomon wants to be sure we're not putting our hope in the wrong things. Because the reality is, our lives will be over soon. And Solomon desires for us to escape the bitterness of the life that ends with looking back and wishes the things we once experienced had lasted a little longer. He would rather see us be able to look back and rejoice that our lives were characterized by a God-given, joyful contentedness in a God who is the giver of every good gift. Such a life is grounded in the fear of the Lord: Faith-filled obedience to God in response to a right understanding of who He is. Solomon says this is how we're going to really enjoy life ‘under the sun.' And our Creator agrees.Sermon Notes: Main Idea: Three themes of life to understand so that our lives would be what God wants them to be.Outline:• Life and Joy• Life and Transience• Life and the Fear of God

Finding Joy When Life Beats You UpCarol takes you through her personal journey of losing five precious babies, suffering from clinical depression, to finding joy in the most difficult of circumstances. During this period of time Carol developed an addiction -- her addiction was reading the Word of God. In the Word, Carol found her joy and she continues to help millions of women today find their joy even when life beats you up.Carol talks about the story of Ruth & Naomi found in Ruth 1. Naomi (delight, pleasant) asked for her name to be changed to Mara, which meant bitter. Naomi changed her identity based on her circumstances & disappointments in life. We should NEVER do that. As Christians, we need to stay true to who we are created to be. Remember that kindness ushers Jesus into your story. Kindness takes the Carol's, the Robbie's, the Keri's and uses us as the history makers in God's book of life. With the pandemic, the election, the media, politicians, and racism, let us be the kindest women of our generation. The people that need it the most are the Mara's.Carol's Resources:The Joy Life is an online membership that will enable you to tap into the joy for which you were created.
