I denne episoden av Barnebokprat møter Magnus Harding forfatter og dramatiker Hanne Ramsdal til en samtale om skriving som en kroppslig praksis. De snakker om skriverommet som et sted utenfor virkeligheten, forskjellen på å lede skrivegrupper for ungdom og voksne, og hvordan skriving kan åpne en vei inn til underbevisstheten. Hvordan kan fysiske handlinger ved skriving fremkalle minner og autentiske følelser? De diskuterer også betydningen av trygge rom for deling og skapelse av tekster uten selvsensur – særlig for ungdom.I 2024 mottok Harding NBI-stipendet for et prosjekt som blant annet undersøker hvordan skriving kan skape tilhørighet og fellesskap blant unge. Som del av prosjektet ledet han en kreativ skrivegruppe for ungdom i Bergen. Erfaringene har han bearbeidet i to podkastepisoder – denne er andre og siste del. Del én var en samtale med forfatter og psykiatrisk sykepleier Synne Sun Løes.Magnus Harding er utdannet antropolog og forfatter. Han arbeider som litteraturformidler og skrivelærer. I 2024 mottok han NBI-stipendet fra Kari Skjønbergs fond til sitt forskningsprosjekt, som utforsker hvordan man kan skape trygge rom der ungdom kan skrive, dele og snakke om tekstene sine. I dagens episode af Langsomme samtaler har Rune Lykkeberg besøg af den italienske forsker, forfatter og forhenværende politiske toprådgiver, Giuliano Da Empoli. Da Empoli er forsker ved universitetet i Paris, underviser i politisk strategi og politisk kommunikation, han har sin egen pro-europæiske tænketank, er tidligere rådgiver for den centristiske italienske premierminister Matteo Renzi, og så er han forfatter til den overraskende bestsellerroman Troldmanden fra Kreml (2023), som handler om Vladimir Putin i Rusland. Med andre ord har Giuliano Da Empoli en unik tilgang til politik: Han har skrevet fiktion om den politiske magt, forsket i den politiske magt og opereret som rådgiver midt i den politiske magt. Nu har Giuliano Da Empoli så udgivet en ny bog. Den hedder Rovdyrenes tid (2025) og er ét langt essay, skrevet som en række af små glimt. Ugens gæst hos Rune Lykkeberg er intet mindre end en amerikansk legende inden for organisering, kampagner og bevægelsesbygning. Marshall Ganz er født i 1943 i USA og blev tidligt engageret i den amerikanske borgerrettighedsbevægelse. I 1964 drog han til Mississippi for at hjælpe de sorte med at registrere til valget samme år og kom her til en by stærkt skæmmet af, at tre sorte mænd netop var forsvundet. Det var dén historie, som senere blev fortalt i filmen Mississippi Burning. Marshall Ganz blev siden engageret i Bobby Kennedys præsidentkampagne, som endte brat, da han i 1968 undergik samme skæbne som sin bror, John F. Kennedy, og blev skudt og dræbt. Marshall Ganz fandt herefter sammen med den legendariske mexikanske fagforeningsleder, Cesar Chavez, og blev de næste 16 år en del af hans bevægelse, United Farm Workers. Her lærte han teknikker og praksisser til, hvordan man forvandler folkeligt engagement til magtfulde bevægelser og går fra mobilisering til institutionalisering. Siden var Marshall Ganz stærkt involveret i Barack Obamas præsidentkampagne (2007-2008) og opbyggede hele den græsrodsbevægelse, som var med til at bære USA's første afroamerikanske præsident frem til Det Hvide Hus. I mere end seks årtier har Marshall Ganz altså organiseret politiske bevægelser, og han er netop nu aktuel med en ny bog med titlen: People, Power, Change – Organizing for Democratic Renewal (2024). I denne uges udgave af Langsomme samtaler fortæller Marshall Ganz om, hvor han mener, at bevægelserne står i dag, hvad det kræver at opbygge en holdbar, folkelig modmagt og – måske mere overraskende – hvad venstrefløjen kan lære af Donald Trump. Afsnittet er en særudgave optaget live på Nørrebro Teater, hvor Marshall Ganz var inviteret af Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke.

LPO har i samarbeid med en arbeidsgruppe bestående av Ellen Horn, Erik Rudeng, Erik Collett, Peter Butenschøn og Eilif Holte utarbeidet et forslag til utvidelse og opprustning av Nationaltheatret, som en forlengelse av Henrik Bulls teater fra 1899. Forslaget har blitt mottatt med stort engasjement og begeisetring, og mange spørsmål, så Lars og Alexander satt seg ned i studio og dro igjennom historien til hvordan dette forslaget har kommet i stand, og hva som blir veien videre for Byens Hjerte.
