Who are we? We are Chosen and Precious. What are we? We are Called out of Darkness into Light What are we to do? We Live Honorably.

Message: Maybe you had to choose between two things? Hard-pressed is having a difficult decision and choosing which way to go, better or best, or the better over the more needful. [Testimony of Better and Best, Salt and Light] What is better and what is best or needed? Accepting Christ is a newest, an abundance, but it is also a life of affliction and sacrifice for others and yourself. Christ gave Himself for us so we could give for others. There are 2 things going on in today's scripture regarding difficulty in the decision making process. It is two good things, serving Christ is this world and enjoying Him in another. One is better and the other is best, living for Christ and living with Christ. In 2 Corinthians 11:25, Paul chooses "better" which are perilous times, so through him others would find Christ and rejoice. In Philippians 2:3-5 and 1 Corinthians 16:22, there is a call to love others, live out an abundant life because Jesus will live out His promises, and a warning of being cursed without Christ. It is a call not to be the same as the world, and an expectation which exalts Christ. When we answer the call and wholly commit to be used by God on this earth, we will be hard-pressed but not unto death, with a promise of a coming life. While we are waiting, experience His abundant life in this world, making a difference in this time and place, so others see Jesus in us and cry out to Him. Let the world see our neediness for Jesus. Living according to His will; it will let them see a reflection of His image, life and work. The transformed life is an example to others, leaving no argument. Seek the Lord to give you a voice and opportunity to increase the boundaries of your territory, letting Christ be seen in us is to have Him high and lifted up. Let the light and salt of Christ come out in you, someone way want what you have. We are encouraged in Jude 1:21-22 to make the most of opportunity to make a difference with your hands. In having compassion, you may help pull somebody out of the fire. Let God use your story, your hard-pressed times, to display a life undefeated and joyful. Scripture: Philippians 1:21-24 "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you." - NKJV

This week we continue in our Sermon Series on the Sermon on the Mount by looking at why Jesus calls His followers Salt and Light? What does this mean to us as we choose to follow Jesus and try and demonstrate His love and grace to those around us?

This week’s episode is about The Signs of Depression and What You Need to Know. We look at this from an energetic perspective along with mindset. 01:50 Depression is Not a New Thing Depression's a really big deal and it's not a new thing. The ancient Greeks called it black bile. There's a one in six chance that you'll deal with this at some point in a significant way in your lifetime. It's that prevalent and I think a lot of the time, it doesn't look or feel or sound like what we think it's supposed to so we're like, no, that couldn't be me. Nick 08:40 How do You Approach it? So when you work with somebody in healing for anxiety or depression, how do you approach it?  KISMA 08:52 Small Steps Anxiety has a lot to do with harnessing the energy and directing it in a really positive way because there is a more productive way. With depression, particularly when somebody's having a tough time finding the energy and the motivation to do anything, it's really about small steps. So the exercises that I teach in energy mastery are really important. When you have those tools to really clean up in a very thorough way, everything that's going on in the system and systematically, then you have a way to release it.  It'll move and then you have a little bit more to take the next step. Nick 10:19 The Energy Perspective So from the energy perspective of say, the chakra system that you work on, where would you start or does it depend on each person? KISMA It kind of depends on each person. Basically the biggest one for everybody is solar plexus. Not only because it is a clearing house for lower emotion and it gets congested super easily just by living life, but also because all of your major organs are right there. And if you think about a chakra kind of as an organ that lives outside the body, well that chakra is responsible for all those organs. So when the chakra, when that particular place, gets really bummed up, then it can really have an impact physically very, very quickly. Nick 11:19 Spark of Light What do you recommend for someone who is tiptoeing in the state of depression? To take a different action or have a different thought around it? KISMA If somebody is kind of skirting on that, it's definitely keeping in motion, keeping your body active. And then to me, creative action is one of the things that really adds some kind of spark to it. Go do what lights you up. Nick I think when the human becomes creative, there's at least a little spark of joy that lights up. And as we know from the spiritual perspective, if we can focus on a spark of light, it really does become a glow. It takes on a bigger glow. KISMA 15:21 Moving the Body I want to know more from your perspective about moving the body. What does that do and why is that important for someone who has depression or is in a depressed state? What does moving the body do to the energy in the field? KISMA Not only do you have the chakra system, you have all of these meridians in your body. You are very intricate and there’s an energy system that's fueling your body and moving it. And when your body doesn't really move, then those things tend to get stuck. So physical activity helps. It gets everything moving as well. So the stuck things can start to flush out and it brings your energy up. Depending on the kind of workout that you do or the kind of exercise, it can increase endorphins too, which will give you a nice little lift. Nick 24:04 There is a Solution Just to come full circle for anyone struggling now in the quarantine or for anyone who's listening down the road. There is an opening. There's always an opening. There is a way out because just like any problem, there's always a solution. We have to have a willingness to see it or receive it. KISMA 31:54 A Higher Truth There's always a higher truth. Gateways to the Light : What gateways are you accessing to transform your life to one of JOY rather than one of suffering? What changes are you making to access your gateways to the light? When I have come to understand that things I judged as bad in my life were really showing up to teach me about something I had neglected to heal before. When I paid attention to that thing, it sort of left on its own, rather like a cloud on a sunny day. The calamity passed without leaving an imprint on my cells. When I tried to live in the lie of it, and passed it off as changeable, or worse yet, unimportant, this same issue came back to haunt me yet again, with ever increasing sources of trouble. News:   Final Fantasy Explorers: According to Siliconera, Japanese Amazon reviews on the new monster-hunter-like Final Fantasy game note that although people liked the game, most were expecting something MORE similar to Monster Hunter. Insead, there were many complaints that there was too much walking in the game, being compared to Final Fantasy XI. There has been talk of a patch to address these problems, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.   Final Fantasy XIV: The last patch of the current patch cycle for the game, before the release of Heavensward, patch 2.5 entitled “Before the Fall”, is not only an ominous title, but also a patch of epic proportions. This is what we know about the patch according to Square Enix:   “Part one of Before the Fall is scheduled for the mid to end of January with the release of patch 2.5, which contains myriad challenges for adventurers of every persuasion. The patch will include roughly two-thirds of the final main scenario quests, three new dungeons, and the conclusion of the Crystal Tower questline and the World of Darkness. The patch will also feature the adventures of Hildibrand─agent of enquiry, inspector extraordinaire─on his latest (and perhaps final?) investigation, a new battle against Odin, the Dark Divinity of legend, in Urth’s Fount, new gear for gatherers and crafters, numerous new recipes, and more. We have plenty planned to make this patch a befitting prelude to the end of the 2.X storyline.   There will be much to do in patch 2.5, and before we bombard you with more in part 2, we’ll be offering players a change of pace with patch 2.51, which focuses on the introduction of the Gold Saucer. It bears mentioning, however, that the establishment is known as the Manderville Gold Saucer in Eorzea. You’ll have to check it out for yourself to figure out where this moniker came from. Including chocobo racing, chocobo breeding, and the return of the FF card game Triple Triad, you can look forward to a fun and relaxing time in the Gold Saucer.   Part two of Before the Fall is scheduled for the end of March, closing the curtain on the story that brought about the rebirth of Eorzea. What trials and tribulations await the Warrior of Light? What drastic turn of events will grant passage to the reclusive nation of Ishgard? Only time will tell.”   Final Fantasy XV:   According to gameranx: Final Fantasy 15 lead game designer Wan Hazmer shared some new details regarding the game in a panel named The History and Future of Final Fantasy. We'll pass over details mentioned before and discuss what they revealed here that's new. Wan stressed the importance of camping periodically. Basically, camping is when you have an opportunity to power your self up, using food you can prepare using different ingredients. These effects gradually decrease in time, giving you incentive to camp again. Also an incentive to camp is experience. While you earn experience throughout the game, you can only 'cash in' that experience and level up at camp. The game will now have a 60 minute day/night cycle. 40 minutes of that will be daytime, and 20 minutes night. The doubling of a day from 30 to 60 minutes implies there are some tasks that will take you a considerable amount of time to accomplish. Final Fantasy XV: As per the recent interview between Famitsu and Hajime Tabata: They’re trying to make a more realistic feel to the games dimensions. They based the town we saw in the most recent trailer on the people and design of the Bahamas. We will be able to talk to NPC’s, and they will react accordingly to a prince in their presence.
