Whether you're moving from face to face coaching to online, adding it as a scalable option, or adding in face to face to your online service. How much to put into something and not let go of the current business? It's all about having clear objective from the business in my opinion, and we break it down here in this episode. Any tips for overcoming perfectionism and getting shit done? Could you break down a weekly content plan overview for me. I need to get back to having more structure with this as I am a random poster unless I have a lead magnet or launch to focus on. I post 7 days per week, what would you do MON / TUE / WED /THU / FRI /SAT /SUN ? how would you theme/ structure a week of posting ? Biggest regrets in your own PT Business, before starting the mentorship? Serious case of imposter syndrome at the moment and comparing myself to others on social - everyone seems to be smashing it. Shall I unfollow everyone in the PT and coaching space to help me? I probably need to watch your session with Dan don't I? How would you balance your time between in person and online coaching to make sure neither are neglected? If no one ever answers my Q&A boxes on Instagram how do I come up with live topics for my IG audience. What are the questions you would ask yourself to know if your why is truly your why, or whether you're just bullshitting yourself?

A fatal Upper Hutt crash caused by two motorists not merging into a lane has been labelled entirely preventable Open Justice reports David Armstrong was killed in 2020 when he and another driver, Lucilla Linda Brunt, failed to merge. The collision seriously injured two others. Crash investigator Hamish Piercy told Andrew Dickens the crash didn't have to happen. “Neither one backed down and the outcome was tragic, whether one was in the right or the wrong, both of them had the choice to prevent it.” LISTEN ABOVE

How do you navigate so many different opinions? Politics. Pandemic. Racial (in)equality...? In this episode I unpack what I am learning...First, let's get your self-awareness going by answering a few questions. This is designed to get you to become aware of what you believe to be true. Be candid with yourself and say out loud the first response that comes to mind:Was God on the side of the Israelites or the Canaanites when they entered the Promised land? Was God on the side of the Jews or the Romans in Jesus day?Was God on the side of the Germans or the Allies during WWII?Was God on the side of the Democrats or the Republicans last election... or this election? Is God on your side or your 'evil' competitors side in business or life?Correct answer...Neither.What?????!!!!!Don't freak out yet... read on.The Kingdom of God is above all.He is God. His Kingdom is not of this world. He has no rival or equal. He doesn't vote. The real question is WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON? Whose character and nature and ways are you representing? Keep the main thing the main thing... and still pray, vote and play to win!Check out the story in Joshua 5 where the Israelites are rolling up to conquer their promised land. Their commander, Joshua, is scoping out the first enemy city - Jericho - and happens across a warrior he doesn't recognize."WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?!" challenges Joshua to the unknown warrior. The context for this question is that God had sent the Israelites. God had told them to wipe out Jericho. God had provided. God had said He would go with them...So, surely God is on their side and this warrior was on their side or the enemy???The warrior responded, "NEITHER ONE. I am the commander of the Lord's army."Joshua immediately fell on his face and said "I am at your command, what do you want your servant to do?" Joshua 5:14 NLTWhat's the point? 1. God doesn't take our side, we take His.2. You remain on His side as long as you are following His ways, fighting His battles, obeying His commands.3. If you get proud or arrogant in the process, you will find out that, whatever 'side' you are on, you will have God resisting or opposing you (see James 4:6 and more!). Pride is what turned Lucifer from arch angel to chief of demons. Remember that!3. Rather than telling everyone God is on your side so they best shutup, you are wiser to get on your face and say to the Lord, "I am at Your command, what do you want me to do?"4. Then do that!To be clear, take a stand for what is right and just and true. Don't hold back or hide or pretend that everything will be fine if you stay neutral. Faith engages. Faith is messy. Faith speaks and acts. Just act on God's command and not your cause.

As we near the end of our third season we figured it was time to discuss another type of ending ... one that isn’t discussed often but can be just as, if not more, painful as losing a lover … the end of a friendship. How do you know when it's time to walk away from a friendship? How do you even broach that conversation or move on afterward?

Dear Steve and Shirley, my husband and I are in our late 30s and have been married for 15 years . We’ve had some hiccups in our marriage and we went to counseling to fix the issues. I thought we were doing really good since the counseling, but here we are, a year later, and my husband’s insecurities got the best of him. He created a fake social media account and pretended to be one of my exes that I dated before we got married. He started sending me sweet messages, posing as my ex, but I was very stern about letting him know that I’m happily married and not interested in him at all, in that way............. Clive Campbell (@18yrs) - a.k.a. DJ Kool Herc (Hercules), founding father of hip hop. 46. It's summer time of 1973 in the Bronx NY. 47. In the recreation room at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, a HISTORIC party jumps off. - And hip hop is born! 48. Bio: Kool Herc was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, moved to NYC as a teen and started spinning records at parties with his dad's PA system. 49. He was deep into Reggae and he styled himself like a Jamaican “selector” (DJ) and did a lot of “toasting” (talking/chanting) over the instrumentals. 50. But his real genius was paying attention to the crowds. He said a lot of DJ's back then would put on a record and go smoke a cigarette. 51. He watched what got the crowd going and noticed hat it was the instrumental bridge, or drum breaks, that was hot with the dancers. 52. His SIGNATURE move and GROUNDBREAKING contribution was to use the two turntables of a regular DJ setup, NOT to switch between songs, BUT switch back and forth between the break beats and keep the crowds moving! 53. His homie, Coke La Rock, would get on the mic and do shout outs ("so and so is in the house!"), do call-and-response phrases (yes, yes, y'all - you don't stop, ...just throw your hands in the air), and do catchy "poems" (Hotel, motel, you don't tell, we won't 54. tell) 55. Herc had been working on it this new style for almost a year, but that summertime party in 73 was his breakout moment. 56. After that, the crowds got too big for the rec room and he started throwing jams in the park. Those crowds where bigger than some at the clubs and that's where all four elements of hip hop would really come together. (Dj'ing, MC'ing, dancing, and graffiti) 57. He got stabbed at a party just a few years later, and while he was sidelined, his 2 homies and "understudies" took over hip hop, Afrika Bambaataa and Grandmaster Flash! 58. Hip Hop basically started by presenting a party on wax. 59. Question: How has partying changed? (i.e., dancing, music, sex, drugs, socializing, violence, etc...) 60. Final thoughts: Kool Herc continues be an undervalued personality. He deserves WAY more credit. 61. Music Scene: 62. Born in Michigan, raised in Detroit 107. Started getting down with Motown in 1961 at 11yrs old and rose to fame FAST! 108. Fingertips/Uptight (everything's Alright/Sign, Sealed, Delivered/My Cherie Amour 109. In 1971, he let his Motown contract expire, muscled his way to a bigger royalty, got more creative independence, and proceeded to change the history of pop music. 110. His next 3 releases each won album of the year! - a first for an RnB act. 111. Partly influenced by his Motown homie Marvin Gaye and his album "what's Going On", (and to some degree his FRIENDS the Beatles!) he consciously changed up his style. 112. "We as a people are not interested in 'baby, baby' songs anymore," he said back then. "There's more to life than that. 113. Innervisions (16th studio LP) was where he stopped being merely a "boy" genius. 114. "It is the album that best celebrates his musical maturity and completes the transition from Little Stevie Wonder to the grown-up artist with an active imagination and burning social conscience. Coming just nine months after Talking Book, Innervisions is Wonder at 115. the absolute peak of his powers, a 23-year-old man with the world at his fingertips." - BBC Review 116. Question: Bigger impact, Stevie or James? (Writing, singing, performing, musician) 117. Conclusion: IMHO, Stevie is the most important black artist ever. 118. Movies 119. Key Actor: Pamela Suzette Grier (@24yrs old); Actress, author, superstar girlfriend 120. Born in North KakalaKa and raised as an Air Force kid 121. The family settled in Denver and she went to East High School - Genina's alma mater 122. She started competing in state wide beauty contests and that led to her moving to LA to pursue acting at 18 123. In 1971, at 22, she made her movie debut in Big Doll House. 124. She did a few more "women in cages" movies and broke out in 1973 with Coffy! 125. "The baddest one-chick hit-squad that ever-hit town!" 126. In 1974, she delivered her iconic performance as Foxy Brown 127. A gun toting prostitute out for revenge 128. This solidified her as really the first female action hero. 129. It also, stigmatized her acting career, as she basically got limited to Blaxploitation roles 130. However, she still received props for her acting skills in those roles. 131. "What makes Coffy interesting is Miss Grier...she’s' beautiful, but also has a kind of physical life to her that is sometimes missing in beautiful actresses...she gets into an action role and does it right." - film critic, Roger Ebert 132. Question: where have the female black action heroines gone? 133. Key Movie: The Mack 134. Question: What was that?!?!?! 135. Television: 136. Key Character: George Jefferson, Dry cleaning Business owner 137. Played by Sherman Hemsley (@35): born and raised in Philly 138. High school dropout and former Air force 139. went to NYC and got regular work as a Broadway actor 140. In 1971 (@33) he flashed on Broadway and caught the attention of the producer for "All in The Family" (sorta like Redd Foxx) 141. In 1973 he debuted on the show as Archie's "opinionated, rude, bigoted, scheming neighbor. 142. Always trying to move "to a deluxe apartment in the sky"! 143. But, he was also a loving and hard-working family man, who was cleverer than Archie. 144. Sherman himself was shy and very private. 145. Never married and no kids. 146. The goal was to educate through videos, motivate kids with music, and convince them learning is fun. 154. Question: What are some of your favorite SHR episodes? 155. Conclusion: No doubt, for a generation of kids, every Saturday morning, SHR put it DOWN! 156. Wrap Up 157. Question: What had the biggest impact from 1973?
After establishing himself as a college football star in Mississippi, Jim Weatherly moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. He eventually found success as a songwriter, and is best known for penning “Midnight Train to Georgia,” a #1 pop and R&B hit for Gladys Knight and the Pips that would go on to be named one of Rolling Stone magazine’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and earn induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Gladys and her Pips recorded a dozen of Weatherly’s songs, including the Top 10 hits “Neither One of Us (Wants to be the First to Say Goodbye)” “Where Peaceful Waters Flow,” “Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me,” and “Love Finds Its Own Way.” It wasn’t uncommon for Jim to appear on both the pop and country charts simultaneously with different versions of the same song. Bob Luman scored a Top 10 country hit with “Neither One of Us (Wants to be the First to Say Goodbye)” while Ray Price hit the top of the country chart with his version of “You’re the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me.” Price would record nearly 40 Jim Weatherly songs, including the Top 5 hits “Like Old Times Again” and “Roses and Love Songs.” Thanks, in part, to Ray Price’s success, Jim was named ASCAP’s Country Songwriter of the Year in 1974. Additional hits from the Weatherly songbook include Charley Pride’s #1 single “Where Do I Put Her Memory,” Ed Bruce’s Top 5 hit “You Turn Me On (Like a Radio),” Glen Campbell’s Top 5, “A Lady Like You,” and Bryan White’s #1 single “Someone Else’s Star.” Other artists who’ve recorded Jim’s songs include Eddy Arnold, Reba McEntire, Dean Martin, Vince Gill, Etta James, Neil Diamond, Bill Anderson, Kenny Rogers, Hall & Oates, The Temptations, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Peter Cetera, and Angie Stone. As an artist, Jim earned a Top 10 pop hit with “Need to Be” and a Top 10 country hit with “I’ll Still Love You.” The Grammy nominee and Dove award winner was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014.

My guest this week is pioneering MC, Queen Lisa Lee. She was a member of the Cosmic Force, the Soulsonic Force, and a mainstay on countless Zulu Nation live tapes. She was also a key part of the movies Wildstyle and Beat Street. Today, she contributes to William & Mary's hip-hop library and Cornell University's hip-hop museum, as well as doing speaking engagements across the country. She tells me about learning to scratch and quick-mix at age 11, and about rocking the mic at a Zulu Nation party for the first time at age 13. We talk about what the early landscape of hip-hop was like, and how she fit into it. She talks about putting music to the side and becoming entrenched in street life, and how telling the truth about her story helped her to heal and start over. Mike Riley’s art this week is an homage to Gladys Knight and The Pips’s Neither One of Us. This episode is hosted by Splicetoday.com.

LOVE SOMETIMES PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE IN OUR LIVES. WE DESIRE IT. WE LIVE FOR IT, WE GET CONSUME IN IT. RELATIONSHIPS REFLECTS UPON ALL OF THE THOSE EMOTIONAL CHANGES THAT LOVES BRINGS. WE FALL IN LOVE WITH EVERY ATTENTION OF REMAINING TIL DEATH DUE UP PART. WE LOVE LIFE AND GROW WITH OUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER AS TIME GOES BY. WE CREATE FAMILIES, WE SHARE GOOD AND BAD TIMES TOGETHER. SLEEP IN THE SAME BED NIGHT AFTER NIGHT. WE SPEAK THE WORDS "I LOVE YOU AT LEAST 100 TIMES OF YEAR. BUT WHAT IF THINGS CHANGED AND THE PERSON YOU KNOW AND LOVE SEEM TO HAVE FEELINGS OF LEAVING THE RELATIONSHIP. OR BOTH OF YOU DECIDES THE PARTY ISN'T JUMPING ANYMORE. BUT YOU REMAIN FOR COUNTLESS REASONS. RATHER FOR YOUR KIDS, OR FEAR OF HURTING . PERHAPS THE FRIENDSHIP CONNECTION IS STILL THERE. IF THE RELATIONSHIP IS OVER. I MEAN TRULY OVER. SOMEONE HAVE TO FINALLY BE THAT PERSON TO SAY "GOODBYE"
