Mayorkas Impeached, Dems Gain House Seat, $50 Minimum Wage?

Join Jim and Greg as they tackle two big stories involving the House of Representatives and an absurd idea from a California U.S. Senate candidate that would plunge us into economic disaster.First, they're pleased to see the Republicans muster just enough votes to impeach Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas. It would have been much better to get this done right the first time and Mayorkas will undoubtedly be acquitted in the Senate, but the impeachment is richly deserved and it gives Republicans a chance to highlight the Biden border chaos during an impeachment trial. Then they sigh as the Democrats comfortably pick up another House seat as former Rep. Tom Suozzi wins the seat vacated by the expulsion of Republican Rep. George Santos. Donald Trump says the GOP candidate didn't embrace him enough. Other critics suggest the party is too closely identified with Trump and dysfunction in Washington. So what does this tell us might be coming in in November? Finally, they shake their heads as California Rep. Barbara Lee calls for a $50 per hour minimum wage in the latest California U.S. Senate debate and explain why her plan would create an economic catastrophe. Please visit our great sponsors:BIOptimizershttps://bioptimizers.com/martinifreeGet your Free 14-day supply of Magnesium Breakthrough today!4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniStay connected with the Patriot Power Solar Generator 2000X on sale now.

It has been 129 days since Hamas' deadly terror attack on Israel, which left nearly 1200 Israelis dead and hundreds taken hostage, along with American citizens. As the Israeli Defense Force plans its offensive into the Gazan city of Rafah, believed to be the final stronghold for Hamas terrorists, the Biden administration is catching criticism over the President's comments on Israel's military activity in Gaza. Former foreign policy adviser to President George W. Bush, author of “The Genius of Israel,” and host of the ‘Call Me Back' podcast, Dan Senor, joins the Rundown to discuss what he has seen on the ground in Israel, his assessment of the Biden administration's handling of the escalating conflict, and talks about widespread fears within America's Jewish community. New York's third congressional district is holding a special election Tuesday for ex-Congressman George Santos' vacant House seat in the state's wealthiest district. Redistricting has caused NY-3 to become slightly blue in the very red suburbs of Manhattan. Former Democratic Representative Tom Suozzi is looking to reclaim the district after losing it to Santos in 2022. However, Republican candidate and Nassau County legislator Mazi Pilip is running for the empty seat despite her opponent's continuous claim that she is “Santos 2.0.” Pilip joins the Rundown to discuss her campaign, her belief that Democrats have failed the NY-3 voters in the past, and her nuanced position as a pro-life candidate who stands against a national abortion ban. Today's Headlines: Out of Israel and Gaza today, the IDF rescued two hostages in Rafah, Gaza, while conducting heavy strikes that reportedly killed nearly 70 Gazans. President Biden, alongside Jordan's King Abdullah, emphasized the need to protect over a million Palestinians in Rafah amid Israel's offensive. The Egyptian government threatened to void the Camp David Accords if the IDF invades Rafah while Netanyahu insists on sending ground troops to defeat Hamas. The IDF also discovered a tunnel network under UNRWA's headquarters in Gaza, suggesting it was used for intelligence purposes by Hamas. Back on the coup beat, Donald Trump has filed a request with the Supreme Court to overturn a ruling by the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, which determined he is not immune from prosecution for election interference. In addition, Trump and his immigration advisor, Stephen Miller, are planning a potential future presidency with promises of the "largest domestic deportation operation in history," aiming to mobilize a private red-state army for mass deportations. In a separate development, a major special election is underway in New York's 3rd district to replace former Representative George Santos, with Democrat Tom Suozzi facing off against Republican Mazi Pilip amidst challenging weather conditions. Despite the storm, polling locations remain open, and both candidates offer assistance to voters needing transportation to the polls. It's News Day Tuesday! Sam and Emma speak with Luke Goldstein, writing fellow at The American Prospect, to discuss his reporting on the special election being held today in New York's 3rd Congressional District. First, Sam and Emma run through updates into the Senate's military aid deal, the House GOP's Mayorkas Impeachment 2.0, flight attendant labor action, Joe Biden's limp warnings to Israel, inflation, and Kari Lake's Senate candidacy, before diving into the response to the Senate's Foreign Aid bill for Ukraine and Israel. Luke Goldstein then joins, diving right into his assessments of NY-3's special election candidates, walking through Democrat Tom Suozzi's relationship to Israel-aligned PACs, as well as his relationship to the NY Democratic establishment, and the GOP's Mazi Pilip's role as an ex-IDF member with a shady financial past, before focusing in the primary fighting grounds of support for Israel and general conservatism. Stepping back, Goldstein walks through Suozzi's connections to Jay Jacobs, Chair of the NYS Democratic Committee and head of the NY Dems' right-wing shift that lost the Democrats the House in 2022, before looking at both Suozzi and Pilip's desire to separate themselves from their national party leadership, and wrapping up with an assessment of their chances. Sam and Emma also dive into the King of Jordan's recent appearance alongside Biden, Biden's insistence on looking weak to everyone, whether it be over immigration or Israel, and conclude the free half by looking at the continuing action in Israel to block aid to Gaza. And in the Fun Half: Sam and Emma discuss Jon Stewart catching flack from the libs over stating Biden's age, watch Tucker get repeatedly cucked by Putin, and chat with Lefty Paul Ryan about talking to your lib friends. Femme Shapiro bravely uses her Daily Wire platform to uplift child labor, plus, your calls and IMs! The special house election in New York House District 3 is upon us. The race to replace disgraced former Rep. George Santos is a tight one between Tom Suozzi, the veteran former Democratic congressman, and Mazi Pilip, the Nassau County lawmaker running for the Republicans. Winning this seat would be an important step toward Democrats regaining control of the House. NY1 investigative reporter Courtney Gross, and political reporters Bobby Cuza and Ayana Harry, take a look at the matchup and break down where each candidate stands on the issues. They also discuss the national focus on NY-3 and how the migrant crisis is playing a central role in the contest. After that, a few weeks ago, two police officers were beaten while trying to break up what they described as a disorderly group near a migrant shelter in Times Square. The brawl has kicked off a political furor and renewed debate over bail reform as the video continues to circulate. The “Off Topic” team discusses the controversy.
