Jeremy (Vince Vaughn) and John (Owen Wilson) are divorce mediators who spend their free time crashing wedding receptions. For the irrepressible duo, there are few better ways to drink for free and bed vulnerable women. So when Secretary of the Treasury William Cleary (Christopher Walken) announces the wedding of his daughter, the pair make it their mission to crash the high-profile event. But their game hits a bump in the road when John locks eyes with bridesmaid Claire (Rachel McAdams). To say that this week has been hectic is a complete understatement. From people getting sick and family members being in the emergency room... a recording wasn't in the books. So what we're gonna give you folks is something special. Zorro, the legendary swordsman, has passed on his weapon and his sense of duty to his noble son, Diego (George Hamilton), a dashing swashbuckler like his father. But after an injury sidelines Diego, he is forced to hand the mask over to his flamboyantly gay twin, Ramon (also Hamilton), who prefers to be called Bunny Wigglesworth. While Ramon agrees to take on the guise of Zorro, he decides to add his own flair, with garishly glittering costumes -- and a whip in place of the iconic sword. Reel Feels is both celebrating and wrapping up Pride Month with our LGBTQ genre film, a pick that Nathan has cherished since childhood, 1981's "Zorro: The Gay Blade"! George Hamilton is outstanding in this film and we had a great time watching it. A first watch for Drew and Jack and they were not disappointed. The quick witted lines, banter of the characters and who can forget the colorful outfits? We discuss our views and appreciation for the LGBTQ community in our segment section and even give our hometown a little love. To everyone who identifies and calls the LGBTQ Community their home, just know that we see you, we hear you and we're glad you're here. You, just like everyone else, are the Reelest and the Feelest! Ed Harris and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio are formerly married petroleum engineers who still have some issues to work out. They are drafted to assist a gung-ho Navy SEAL (Michael Biehn) with a top-secret recovery operation: a nuclear sub has been ambushed and sunk, under mysterious circumstances, in some of the deepest waters on Earth. We get our feet wet with this late 80's sci-fi staple. This is a favorite that host Jack very much enjoys and was super eager to share it with us. We discuss the history of the filming, which reported accounts say was a nightmare. The early CGI and a wonderful score by a talented individual, Alan Silvestri. Ed Harris gives a wonderful performance and we can't forget Michael Biehn being super crazy! But we can't forget that Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is the "bitch" that we all love to remember. Conniving attorney Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is an ace in the courtroom, but his dishonesty and devotion to work ruin his relationships. His wife, Audrey (Maura Tierney), has left him for a more dependable man, and Fletcher often breaks the commitments he makes to his beloved son, Max (Justin Cooper). When Max wishes his dad would stop lying for 24 hours, Fletcher suddenly finds that he can only speak the truth -- on the day his career-deciding court case has to be won. Let's head on back to 90's for what can be considered the peak of comedy for Jim Carrey! The Reel Feels guys are gushing nostalgia with this film from the physical comedy, the quotable lines, and of course... Jennifer Tilly. This one brings back a lot of memories and most of them are filled with laughter. The guys discuss the possible alternates who could've played Fletcher, the music and the supporting cast as well. This movie definitely still holds up for Reel Feels. What about you? We are the Reel Feels Podcast, every other Wednesday we'll bring you a new movie with all the feels you can handle. Ove (Rolf Lassgård) is the quintessential angry old man next door. An isolated retiree with strict principles and a short fuse, who spends his days enforcing block association rules that only he cares about, and visiting his wife's grave, Ove has given up on life. After a boisterous young family moves in next door and accidentally flattens Ove's mailbox, an unlikely friendship forms. Host Jack has provided a truly heavy and honest film that weighs on our hearts. We kid you not, that first 30 minutes... grab them tissues Reel Feels fans. But this film is great. It's a really relatable story of the human experience and has a lot of redeeming factors. We fall in love with Ove, an old curmudgeon of a man, following his life and interactions. You'll definitely walk away looking at some important understandings of the trials that we can all go through, with realizing that life may have more in store for you than you knew. Capt. James Kirk (William Shatner) and the crew of the USS Enterprise are carrying Klingon Chancellor Gorkon (David Warner) to Earth to negotiate a peace treaty with the United Federation of Planets. The ship appears to fire on a Klingon vessel, and Gorkon is killed in the subsequent confusion. Kirk and the ship's doctor, Leonard McCoy (DeForest Kelley), are arrested for murder, leaving Spock (Leonard Nimoy) to figure out who is behind the attack and save the negotiations. CRY HAVOC! And let slip the dogs of war! It's time for some classic Star Trek folks! The Reel Feels boys discuss this powerful film featuring the star studded cast of the original Star Trek crew, along with the incredibly talented (and sadly late) Christopher Plummer. So grab your gravity boots, take a swig of some Romulan ale and fire those torpedo's! We are the Reel Feels Podcast, every other Wednesday we'll bring you a new movie with all the feels you can handle. We'll laugh, we'll cry and possibly restrain the frustrations to curse the heavens. Based on the popular Tom Clancy novel, this suspenseful movie tracks Soviet submarine captain Marko Ramius (Sean Connery) as he abandons his orders and heads for the east coast of the United States. Equipped with innovative stealth technology, Ramius' submarine, "Red October," is virtually invisible. However, when an American sub briefly detects the Russians' presence, CIA agent Jack Ryan (Alec Baldwin) sets out to determine Ramius' motives, fearing he may launch an attack on the U.S. It's a Goddamn cook!! Boy, oh boy, do the Reel Feels guys have an episode for you! On todays episode we discuss the wonderful assortment of actors within the movie, the soundtrack, many quotable lines, the director, fun trivia and the introspective understanding of the characters we've come to know aboard both the Dallas and the Red October. Some things don't react well to bullets... but everything is going to react well to our feels for this amazing film! We are the Reel Feels Podcast, every other Wednesday we'll bring you a new movie with all the feels you can handle. We'll laugh, we'll cry and possibly restrain the frustrations to curse the heavens. A group of covert CIA operatives trailing a potential new energy source are double-crossed by corrupt agent Morgan (Ron Smerczak), who causes a helicopter crash in remote South Africa. The sole survivor (Jackie Chan), suffering severe amnesia, is nursed to recovery by a kindly native tribe who call him "Whoami" after the question he keeps asking. With the help of a mysterious reporter (Michelle Ferre), Whoami pieces together his past and tracks the turncoat agent and his criminal cohorts. It's another Patreon special brought to us by our great friend Matthew! We're having a Reel Feels first here folks... a movie we've NEVER seen before. So, who has CIA training, knows how to make a coconut IV, mumbles while dressed up like an African native, and is tricked by two undercover agents all while dealing with his amnesia? Jackie Chan baby! It's 1998's "Who Am I?" This movie is complete bonkers, doesn't make sense at times and is even co-directed/written by Jackie Chan himself. However, there is one badass fight that redeems everything! Listen up and enjoy! We are the Reel Feels Podcast, every other Wednesday we'll bring you a new movie with all the feels you can handle. Following a childhood tragedy, Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly) follows a long and winding road to music stardom. Dewey perseveres through changing musical styles, an addiction to nearly every drug known and bouts of uncontrollable rage, until finally, he wins the heart, but not necessarily the body, of his loyal backup singer, Darlene (Jenna Fischer). It's our #Music genre for Episode 67, brought to us by Host Jack! This one is a wild ride folks! The amount of music legends parodied in this movie and the absolute talent of John C. Reilly as Dewey Cox is pretty great. In this episode the boys discuss not only the songs, the characters, the absurd comedy, and the touching journey that can only be "walked hard". The Reel Feels gang also shares a bit of what they've been watching and then of course there's our legendary segments! So are y'all ready to "Duet" with us? We guarantee you it'll be a "Beautiful Ride"! We are the Reel Feels Podcast, every other Wednesday we'll bring you a new movie with all the feels you can handle. Time to dig back into the Malibu vault and pull out Prime, part of the Ultraverse universe. But he seems kind of familiar since Prime is a kid who turns into an adult super hero. Except the hero he turns into is based on whatever the kid wants it based on. So yeah, that’s a thing that happened. Listen in as Scott Niswander from NerdSync comes by the show to talk about this Sega CD exclusive experience. And yeah that’s about all I can say about it. Learn such things as: This had to be for an earlier system, right? How far back can you trace the ability to digitally read comics? Welcome to the second part of Episode 50 of We Watched A Thing. THE FURIOUSITY CONTINUES! Join us as we continue our one day marathon of the Fast and Furious franchise. This week you'll also get to hear our interview with Australian radio, podcast, and comedy legends Hamish & Andy. This episode covers 10am to 3pm, as we watch the third and fourth in the franchise - 'Tokyo Drift', and 'Fast & Furious'. This episodes drinking game rules come from: Gabe from the Thinking Outside The LongBox podcast. A great show all about pop culture, movies, and comics, which can be found at http://totlb.com and Drew from the Reel Feels podcast, a fortnightly show which looks at films across all genres. You can find it at http://reelfeelspodcast.podbean.com The Fast and the Furious (colloquial: Fast & Furious) is an American media franchise based on a series of action films that is largely concerned with illegal street racing, heists and espionage, and includes material in various other media that depicts characters and situations from the films. Distributed by Universal Pictures, the series was established with the 2001 film titled The Fast and the Furious; this was followed by seven sequels, two short films that tie into the series, and as of May 2017, it has become Universal's biggest franchise of all time, currently the sixth-highest-grossing film series of all time with a combined gross of over $5 billion. GET BACK, YOU EIGHT LEGGED FREEEEEEEEEEEAKS! Nathan, Brendan and special guest Drew from the "Reel Feels" podcast (https://reelfeelspodcast.podbean.com) had a whole lot of fun with this silly giant spider invasion flick from 2002. From David Arquette improvising the title (and some slightly less stellar improv at other points in the film), a physics-defying drywall battle, Joshua potentially being a diddler and a young Scarlett Johansson's very sexual encounter with an arachnid, this film has it all! Keep listening after the promos for a lil' blooper. We have fun, guys. Also: listen in for a clue regarding the next great movie that will be covered. The legendary "loot of a thousand worlds" inspires an intergalactic treasure hunt when 15-year-old Jim Hawkins stumbles upon a map to the greatest pirate trove in the universe in Walt Disney Pictures' thrilling animated space adventure, "Treasure Planet." Based on one of the greatest adventure stories ever told - Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island" - this film follows Jim's fantastic journey across a parallel universe as a cabin boy aboard a glittering space galleon.Join us as we delve into our very first animated feature! Sharpen your blades because we travelling east for this episode! That's right, we've got our first Akira Kurosawa film to breakdown, and it's his 1961 film Yojimbo, which was heavily influenced by American Westerns, and also inspired that very same genre after its release. Join us as Dean explains what gruel is, Daniel gets infatuated with an eyebrow, and we both get into an argument about whether this film can be classified as a comedy. As well as the breakdown, we also answer some listener questions, have another battle in a movie quiz and find out the results of the last two movie drafts (As well as do this weeks draft on 'Best movies remade from foreign films'). Happy Birthday to the other half of Reel Feels, Drew! It's Drew's birthday and it was his pick of the movie this time around! So he chose a beloved comedy from the year of his birth 1986! The "Three Amigos"! Three cowboy movie stars from the silent era -- Dusty Bottoms (Chevy Chase), Lucky Day (Steve Martin) and Ned Nederlander (Martin Short) -- are fired when one of their movies bombs. In what seems to be a career-saving offer, young Mexican woman Carmen (Patrice Martinez) offers them a high-paying gig in her village. The three jump at the opportunity, expecting to do their typical act, but Carmen believes they are really heroes and asks them to rid her village of bad guy El Guapo (Alfonso Arau).
