The Telepathy Tapes has become the most popular podcast in the world. Severely autistic, non-verbal children and adults have apparently always been able to read minds—and they're receiving revelations from God that validate a Messianic Jewish perspective. Our guests today, First Fruits of Zion's Director of Education, D. Thomas Lancaster, and Jeremiah Michael from the Bram Center for Messianic Jewish Learning, are here to untangle the spiritual implications of this phenomenon—is it real? And if so, what is our proper response? – Takeaways – • Katie Asher's journey began with her son Houston's autism diagnosis. • The Telepathy Tapes podcast emerged from a documentary project. • Facilitated communication helps non-speakers express themselves. • The emotional toll of raising a child with autism. • Katie's determination to understand her son led to profound discoveries. • The revelation of Houston's ability to hear thoughts changed everything. • Katie realized the power of thoughts and their impact on reality. • There is a scriptural framework for understanding Houston's abilities. • God works all things together for good, even pain and suffering. • Negative thoughts impact a person's body and spiritual connection to God. • Faith is about believing God and his promises, not just believing in him. • Prayers are forces that assist the spiritual to bring about God's will in the world. • Children have a unique connection to the spiritual realm that defies time and space. • A soul agrees to the path and mission that God gives to it before birth. • Truth exists beyond materialistic perceptions. • Jesus is the Lamb of God and the Messiah. • God's covenant with Israel and love for her is significant and everlasting. • God loves the Jewish people and has extended salvation to the Jew first. • The nature of God's justice is rooted in love and compassion and is greater than our human perceptions. • We are not a body. We are a soul with a body. • Our great challenge and calling is to prioritize love over materialism and ego. – Resources – The Book of Heaven: A Story of Hope for the Outcasts, the Broken, and Those Who Lost Faith https://www.amazon.com/Book-Heaven-Story-Outcasts-Broken/dp/1737898608 The Telepathy Tapes Podcast: https://thetelepathytapes.com Article: I Can Hear Thoughts https://ffoz.org/messiah/articles/i-can-hear-thoughts Katie Asher's Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/katie.asher11 Messiah Podcast is a production of First Fruits of Zion (https://ffoz.org) in conjunction with Messiah Magazine. #WisdomWednesdays: How to Stop Putting People on a Pedestal and Comparing Yourself with Others If you're like most people, you probably begin comparing yourself with others  at the sight of greener pastures. However, what others choose to show us often does not include their struggles and flaws. In addition, everyone has a unique life path. Thus, it's best to refrain from putting others on pedestals. Instead, look inwards. Ask yourself — how can you bring joy into your life? Can you be the sun in someone else's? In this episode, Rosie and Tessa discuss the pitfalls of putting others on a pedestal and comparing yourself with others. They also touch on our humanness, making mistakes, and how everyone can change if we allow them to do so. Rosie also talks about choosing value-adding friendships and shares a personal experience about setting boundaries. Tune in to discover simple ways to be more in tune with yourself and combat the lack mentality! Here are three reasons why you should listen to the full episode: Understand why you shouldn't put people on a pedestal and stop comparing yourself with others. Discover the need to look beyond people's mistakes and allow them to change. Episode Highlights Why We Shouldn't Put Other People on a Pedestal We're all humans who make mistakes. So, putting others on a pedestal only sets you up for disappointment. We're all flawed, but we tend to hide those parts of ourselves from the world. Instead, we only show our highlight reels. Instead of comparing yourself with others, you can direct your energy and attention inward, toward things that bring you joy. More often than not, we admire people not because they have something that we don't, but because they live more freely than us. Looking at someone carrying out their purpose can either spur us into action or make us feel defeated. How to Stop Comparing Yourself with Others We need to pause and consider that other people's lives are their own. We never know what someone else is going through. So, the best we can do is wish them well on their journey. Also, recognize that you have a lot to be grateful for in your life. Doing so can help distance yourself from a ‘lack' mentality. Ask yourself, what are the things you've done that make you feel proud? Acting on Inspiration It's not entirely wrong to put others on a pedestal because these people can inspire us to excel. The issue comes with being addicted to the inspiration and not doing anything in return. We have to create an outlet for this inspiration, or it becomes corrosive. Looking Beyond Mistakes  People make mistakes. What's important is how we process and learn from them. Sometimes, it's difficult to own up to our own mistakes due to fear of rejection. We must give ourselves and others room to make mistakes and learn from them. People can change, and we should give them that space to grow. If people are acting out, it's often because they come from a place of pain. On Friendships There are three types of friends—high maintenance, low maintenance, and no maintenance. There is a correct balance of friends for you. You can only give and take so much. Keep friendships that are value-adding to your life. It's okay to let go of friends. Asymmetrical relationships can be harmful to both of you. The key to navigating friendships is clear boundaries. Listen to the full episode to hear Rosie's story about a person who wanted to be friends with her. Final Thoughts To become better friends, we can reflect on this question: How do we show up as the sun in other people's lives? It is essential to cultivate your sense of self through meditation or alone time. Through mindfulness, you can know yourself instead of focusing your attention on how people perceive you. Knowing who you truly are can help you navigate life without being clouded by others' judgments. 5 Powerful Quotes [04:36] “Instead of comparing somebody else's outsides to our insides, we can reflect and put our attention and energy into the things that make us happy and bring us joy.” [11:33] “If we are just beings that want to consume inspiration and never do something in return, it's going to eventually create a void.” [22:18] “Somebody that maybe you admire or that you see that might have this outwardly wonderful-looking life could be going through a lot. So I always say, don't put people on pedestals.” [37:01] “It's time to release that relationship out into the world because it's not serving you. And I do believe that you outgrow people.” [41:52] “Without mindfulness, you will always be constructing your sense of self based on others' perceptions.”   This episode is brought to you by Thrive Causemetics  Get 15% OFF your first order thrivecausemetics.com/loved    This episode is brought to you by FAHERTY Go to www.fahertybrand.com Use Code: LOVED for 20% OFF   This episode brought to you by  ReadySlim Tea   www.readyslim.com/loved To save 25% off your first order of Ready Slim's 28 Day Detox Tea Kit  plus a FREE collapsable water bottle.      Enjoy the Podcast? Are the little things keeping you from showing up as a leader? Does it ruin your day when someone cuts you off in traffic? Or do you get caught up in frustration when a client pushes your buttons? Adam Hergenrother contends that if you can learn to breathe into the emotion and give it the space to travel through you, then you set yourself up to lead from a place of contribution—in every aspect of your life. Adam is the CEO of a billion-dollar organization that includes Keller Williams Vermont, the Hergenrother Realty Group, BlackRock Construction, Adam Hergenrother Training and the Adam Hergenrother Foundation. Adam credits his success to a bold vision coupled with a commitment to never giving up. His fearless, purposeful, unconventional and systematic approach helps Adam inspire others to reach their personal development goals and grow into the leaders they were always meant to be. On this episode, Adam joins Emerald to share the AHA moment that inspired his inner journey, explaining how it informed his calling to make everyone in his organization wealthy—in the broadest sense of the word. He discusses how business serves as a conduit for our personal growth and challenges us to serve the moment in front of us and set intentions from a place of clarity. Adam also weighs in on why he prioritizes personal development to achieve his peak state as a creative leader. Listen in for insight around the connection between joy and acceptance and learn how to breathe through your emotions rather than getting caught up in them. Paul Selig joins the show to talk about his journey to become a psychic and channel, and share about "The Book of Truth." Paul channels the guides in this episode, and they share the truth about the nature of joy in the universe. In this episode, Paul and I talk about: – his earliest sparks of joy in drama and theater – his journey to becoming clairvoyant, clairsentient, and then telepathic and psychic – how he built his practice as an intuitive – how he channels, and receives the texts that he shares – what it feels like to sit in channel with The Guides – difference between channeling, and when he is in the role of a psychic – if everyone has the ability to tap into channeling – what The Guides have to say about the pursuit of joy in this life – what it is like to honor the call of being a channel, and the impact it’s had on Paul’s life – if The Guides were present in the time of Moses, based on the fact that the phrase “Here I am” is found in the Old Testament, and very similar to what The Guides share in The Book of Truth – what balance looks, or doesn’t look like, for Paul – how to jump start joy in your life Resources The Book of Truth by Paul Selig (on Amazon) The Book of Mastery by Paul Selig (on Amazon) Paul Selig’s Website Link to the webinars and seminars run by Paul on his website YouTube Video of an interview with Paul Selig on Waking Universe

After a battle lasting nearly eight years Clarry Bean's wife Christine lost the fight for her life a year and a day from when this show was recorded. Despite thinking that he was prepared to face the future without the love of his life, Clarry found himself in shock and despair. Taking inspiration from the strength Christine found in facing her illness, he forced himself to find something positive to come out of his situation.   The idea for a musical tribute came into his mind and he tentatively began reaching out to friends and family to make his little project happen. In this podcast, Clarry shares his and Christine's story and how his small idea grew into a full-blown Christmas single and a speaking tour with a message that is touching people all over the world.   (Please be aware that whilst this show is filled with joy, and love and hope, and the aim is that it helps those who are grieving to find peace, you may find it upsetting if you have lost someone recently.)   What we talk about: Why Clarry decided to create the single. How what started as a little tribute has turned into something much bigger. How Christine inspired people with the way that she coped with her illness. What helped Christine stay positive despite her diagnosis. How the project has helped Clarry and his family heal and move forward and yet keep Christine present. The challenges and doubts Clarry faced bringing the project to life and how he feels that Christine has been a guiding hand. How you can prepare to deliver a highly emotional message Why you need to leave your ego behind to deliver the message How the message is connecting with people who have experienced loss   Resources* The Book of Joy by Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama Grief is the thing with feathers by Max Porter Things Fall Apart by Chenua Achebe Love me do by Michael Braun Last Train to Memphis by Peter Guralnick   All things Clarry / Christine: https://www.illuminatemylife.co.uk   Thanks for listening! This week we wrap up our Grace series with a discussion on extending grace to others. We've talked about accepting grace from God through the Cycle of Grace, we've also discussed giving grace to ourselves through self care/soul care and now we discuss showing others grace. Showing grace to others should be the fruit of acceptance and sustenance. We also know that some relationships are complicated so we also speak to boundaries and how grace and boundaries have to be in balance in all of our relationships.
