Various affirmations to repeat daily to empower and inspire you to be the best version of you YOU CAN BE..
It's been said that you're the average of the five people that you spend the most time with. The older I get, the more I find this to be the case. Therefore, I've made it a point to be deliberate and intentional with surrounding myself with high-caliber individuals. Because that is the type of person that I want to be. In this solocast, I talk about this idea and go over how you can align yourself with high-caliber individuals. Thank you for listening! To hear more great episodes like this one, click here! Ultimately, we are here to walk our path. We are here to do it our way. That's why you need not get caught up in whether you are doing it “right” or “wrong”. Because you're not doing either. You're doing the best you know how right where you are. Carving your own path that is unique to you. If you fall flat on your face, you pick yourself back up, learn the lesson and move on. And if you don't, you might fall back on your face again until you learn, see, do or experience what it is you need from that thing. Then move on... if you choose. You see, life is here to be experienced in the only way it can be through the vessel of YOU. You are source experiencing itself as YOU, after all. So, if we get caught up in trying to do things a certain way or living in a bubble of what everything is “supposed to be like”, we may never experience the fullness of life. There is no right way, just your way. It really is a beautiful thing! In this episode, we explore: How to walk your path There is no “right way” (unless you are a brain surgeon, of course

In this episode, we explore: How to align with the dreams, goals and vision you have for yourself What is your version of success anyway? What will you say when you look back at your life? My quick thoughts on Johnny Depp and domestic abuse..
One of the biggest ways we can grow ourselves as humans is by seeking discomfort. I'm not talking about self-sabatoge here but I am talking about going the extra mile or doing the thing you don't feel like doing. Truth is, if we make comfort our God...we'll destroy our own life. In today's episode we're chatting about this concept and what it looks like in our day to day life to pursue challenges so that we can experience a deeper level of growth and maturity. www.callieammons.com

Enjoy this incredible conversation with Jasmine Star! www.jasminestar.com www.callieammons.com

Brain and Amy start the year off talking about detoxing your mind, your body and habits.
#betterman #thinkoutsidethebox #courage Life is adversity, and often we are quick to draw in on what's comfortable and safe. However it is those that are willing to think outside the box that live outside the confines of the box. The courage to body own this day is the courage to extend your possibilities.
Amy and Brian talk about signals your body may be giving you that are warning lights to pay attention to your body, mind, spirit. Like maintenance on your car, you can pay attention to the sensors and make manageable changes to your daily routine to improve your health !

What is right and what is wrong? What is good? What is not good? We all tend to believe we know, but each one of us would answer these questions differently. Enneagram Ones, in particular, tend to be pretty black and white when it comes to right and wrong. Typically, it’s harder for Ones to see the gray. So, learning to see the fundamental perfection, or goodness, at the core of all things is an important area of growth for Ones. Today, author Jelani Memory and I explore the nuances of The Improver, the impact family of origin has on personality, and how he’s learned to find good in the gray. Jelani Memory is a black man of faith, who originally founded Circle Media which is now Co-owned by Disney and launched an amazing publishing company called A Kids Book About. The mission of “A Kids Book About,” is to help kids and their grownups have honest conversations by making books about challenging, empowering, and important topics told by diverse authors who know that topic first-hand. They cover a range of topics such as racism, white privilege, empathy, anxiety, and addiction. He's spent his career creating products for families, changing the way they engage online and with each other. He lives in Portland OR with his wife and six kids. He still hopes to become an artist when he grows up.
This week I continue the conversation with Leeann and Michelle. Blending humor, motherhood, and the Enneagram, Leeann and Michelle show how they approach self-awareness and personal growth with lightheartedness and compassion towards themselves and others. Tune in through the end of the show to hear the advice they each share for processing big emotions. With backgrounds in commercial acting, television news, and comedy – Leeann and Michelle are a firehouse combination. You recognize them from their viral hits like, “Look What Joanna Made Me Do,” “If You’re My Friend Then You’d Buy This,” and “The Diet.” The success of videos like those fuels their passion to create great comedy in many mediums; parodies, sketch humor and live shows. Leeann & Michelle have attracted 40 million views of their videos, and have received national attention from USA Today, The New York Times, TODAY and Southern Living. Leeann & Michelle routinely appear in local media, sell out their improv shows, and have even earned the adoration of the one and only, Joanna Gaines. Between shoots, you can find Leeann & Michelle sweating it out in Phoenix, AZ. Leeann is likely cleaning or organizing her home (again), while Michelle is avoiding laundry. You can watch more of Leeann and Michelle on YouTube. **If you love this episode and want to hear more about Fours and Eights, listen to Tori Kelly and Andre Murillo discuss the role the Enneagram plays in understanding their friends and family, respecting each other’s strengths, and navigating their emotions.

There are so many places where living out of your van, even just passing through a town and crashing for the night can be very easy and accessible. Although, in our recent trip throughout the coastal towns of Southern California, there are laws now in effect that are making it a lot harder to stay in your vehicle. It's understandable in some regards due to the few that do ruin it for the majority by littering and ditching their waste while living out of a vehicle. But still, we believe there needs to be more infrastructure pertaining to travelers that find themselves without RV and Campgrounds available due to the high influx of travelers and locals.
It's hard to let go of things sometimes...physical things, relationships, and psychological baggage. In this episode, we explore how minimalism and becoming more intentional can help us figure out the things that truly bring value into our lives.
It's crazy that a majority of campgrounds, you have to spend upwards to $30 or more to stay a night! There is no way that I would take our van to camp in an RV park either. Probably because we don't require any hook-ups, but still. We love the access to the WILD. The best thing about it is there are opportunities to stay for free! As long as you abide by the saying, "you pack it in, you pack it out".
We all do some pretty dumb shit in our lives! Most of the time, it's in the prime years of our youth. There's not much that I regret but I believe this might have inched it's way onto that list. When I do reflect on it, it's embarrassing. I understand its okay to do some stupid things but what is not okay, is not learning from those mistakes!
Have you ever fallen in love? What was the first time you knew indefinitely that you had fallen head over heels for a beloved? Did your partner feel the same way? The bond of love is so profound, yet, intimidating at the same time. We all want to be accepted and feel as if the feelings that we have for one another are reciprocated. Our first exchange of the word "love" was scary but so worth opening up to one another on such a deep level.
Are you feeling bogged down by all the clutter in your house? Maybe its not even a physical cluttering but mentally; there's a lot of "things" making you feel internally crowded and overwhelmed... When the creation and marketing of clothes, gadgets, and new technologies is always beckoning us to spend, spend, spend! It can be hard to say no to the dopamine hit that a new purchase innately produces. In this episode, we share our journey and tips on minimizing unnecessary spending that leads to debt, envy, and the anxiety of your things OWNING YOU.
There's nothing wrong with trying to do your best at an undergone task or project. It's when the compulsive twitch of the undertaker of a task, that possesses them into trying to control the entire physical plane around them. To try and create the utmost order out of it to feel any sense of contentment or accomplishment. And even then, it's still not good enough...
This new technology age is rather extraordinary! But like all good things, there needs to be a balance. Without it, we end up living our lives through a screen! A screen depicting a false sense of reality. It's really easy to get sucked in by all the bright lights, the ego boosting notification that we received a "like", or the vegged out state that is all too comfortable while scrolling endlessly through a feed. In this episode, we would like to challenge this behavior and create a healthy and balanced relationship with social media and screen time. Tune in to hear about the immense benefits we experience when we become more mindful and intentional with this technological use.
It's exciting to experiment and play around with some psychoactive substances from time to time. But once that becomes something habitual, it might be wise to reflect on what harm it could potentially be doing to our body, mind, and soul. In this episode, we reflect on some of the substance abuse that became a common theme for a good portion of our earlier years. Now, we look back and see the immense growth and freedom we have experienced by letting go of drug consumption and abuse.
Every great vehicle needs a name! Sometimes it comes to you rather quickly, but then there are those other times when an unexpected occurrence reveals the destined name of your beloved travel vehicle/home. In this episode, you hear merely that! The trying time that required our utmost ingenuity and perseverance to get us out of the stickiest situation we have been in with the van yet. A bonus was that we found the name, all too fitting, for our home on wheels.
In this episode, Abigail asks Onjae a few questions about living in a van. Onjae has been the instigator for us to adopt the lifestyle. He was the driving force to go from an apartment in downtown Reno to piling into the van to adventure the open road. Let's find out more about his perception now, while in the midst of a radical lifestyle change. Somethings can look very appealing and sexy on the surface(like the van life pictures you see on social media) but be drastically different in "real" life!
In this episode, I(Onjae) ask Abigail some personal questions relating to her experience being a female while living full time in a van on the road. I hope you get some good insights about the lifestyle and get a little more acquainted with who we are!
Letting go of many of the possessions you have and moving into a van, to explore the world, might seem very extreme to the majority. But for us, this was the catalyst to create our epitome of freedom. In this episode, we dive into the story and the progression from the conception of an idea to the metamorphosis of our dream.
In this episode, you will get the whole in-depth story of how we met and fell in love. There were a lot of coincidences that popped up throughout our early journey, maybe some might call them a little bit of foreshadowing... But anyways, we have a lot of history for being rather young and looking back now, there were a lot of clues that became evident during this episode that truly confirmed that we were born for each other.
We are a nomadic couple sharing our journey and perspectives while creating a purposeful life. Adventure is always beckoning us and we want to bring you along. We live and travel full time out of our self converted Sprinter van. Throughout this wild ride you can expect to hear a vast array of different topics including: travel, van life, relationships, self-development, minimalism, nutrition, and so much more. Anything goes once we hit the record button! Follow along and feel free to extend the conversation further with your own unique perspective. All we are trying to do is inspire you to live your life intentionally and fulfill your wildest dreams!
