‘Where life had no value, and death sometimes had its price. That is why bounty hunters appeared.' For decades, the Italian, or Spaghetti Western, has entertained and thrilled cinema audiences all over the world. Its distinct style, as well as its inventive musical scores, has influenced and inspired actors, filmmakers, and composers. It is a genre that is still enjoyed today by many. This unusual but entertaining ensemble of films influenced not just the western film as we knew it, but also had a lasting effect on many other movies. Some of which were produced long after Italian westerns had ridden off into the proverbial sunset of cinema history. On today's episode, join Jason Drury and special guest Italian Western music expert John Mansell as they uncover the musical delights of this quirky but important collection of sagebrush sagas. The unique musical sounds crafted by the composers you will hear go largely unnoticed and underappreciated today. Enjoy! John Mansell's book, ITALIAN WESTERN: VIOLENT IMAGE, SAVAGE SOUNDTRACK – THE MUSIC OF SPAGHETTI WESTERNS is available now on Amazon.

It was a very big week for Ba'al Busters as I launched 2 new campaigns to help cover the natural expenses involved in creating these video and radio broadcasts. While drafting them, I was asked to describe what it is I do, and why: what's the PURPOSE, in other words? I never was one for labels, definitions, or premeditated schemes. I followed my nose or Gnosis to wherever this adventure called life seemed to be leading me. Finally I think I consciously have an answer for this question... Also in this Episode: RHIC Ion Collider, What's the Obsession with (Monoatomic) Gold? Alchemy, Daniel McCarthy and Steve Daniel fighting the good fight against the system, and Much More! This is a fun one, guys! On episode 36 of the Montreal Marketeers podcast, we talk entrepreneurship and social media with Steve Daniel. Steve Daniel is the brains behind the popular MTLPromos Instagram account. We were amazed when we found out that the brand started as a client acquisition strategy. When Steve decided to quit his 9 to 5 job to become a social media consultant, he didn’t have any clients to establish his credibility. He had the brilliant idea of creating and curating his own “fake” client. The account now has over 15K followers and has played a pivotal role in growing Steve’s consulting business. Since starting his entrepreneurship journey 8 years ago, Steve has experienced a lot of change. At the age of 25, he thought he had made it. He had a good job, he owned a car, and he owned a house. All that was left was to get married and have kids. Although that might seem like the ideal life for most people, he realized that something was missing. He wasn’t getting the fulfillment that he desired. That’s when he decided to trade the stability of a corporate job for the challenge of entrepreneurship. He might have a lot more anxiety to deal with these days but he sure is enjoying the grind of being able to make it on his own. Check out this week's episode to find out more about Steve Daniel and MTLPromos.

Utility scale solar has historically been the biggest market for solar power in the U.S. Currently, most of the largest plants are located in the southwest U.S. states where there is plenty of sunny, relatively unused land. The largest of these projects are slightly over 500 megawatts using in the neighborhood of 2 million solar panels. Thats a lot of solar panels -- but also a lot of solar panel racking. On any large ground mounted project, most of the on-site labor relates to installing the solar panel racking (by comparison, installing the panels on the racks and wiring them together goes relatively quickly). As the solar industry strives to reduce costs, less expensive and easier to install racking becomes critical to the financial benefits of a project. The traditional galvanized pipe in concrete pier mounting structures have become a thing of the past. One such innovation comes from Solar FlexRack. In 2009 they designed a ground mount racking system that ships compactly, then expands on-site like an accordion. The result is a drastic reduction in the amount of field labor required to bolt the racking components together. Steve Daniel, EVP of Sales and Marketing at Solar FlexRack is our guest this week on the Energy Show on Renewable Energy World. Please join me as Steve discusses the benefits of easy to install ground mount racking, and talks about the value-added services that are necessary to provide turnkey solutions to utility scale customers.
Steve Daniel, Director of Database Platform and Performance Technology at NetApp, discusses core features to look for in a robust SAN solution and what questions to ask vendors about your infrastructure.
