Der ARD-Deutschlandtrend stellt auch heute die Frage: Wen würden Sie wählen, wenn am Sonntag Bundestagswahlen wären? Man muss kein Prophet sein, um zu wissen, dass die AfD weiter im Aufwind ist. Auch wenn es kein Novum ist, dass die Parteien der Bundesregierung nach Amtsantritt in Umfragen verlieren: so schlecht wie diese schwarz-rote Koalition stand bisher keine Regierung da. Darüber kann man lamentieren. Oder etwas dagegen tun.

This lecture discusses key ideas from the early modern philosopher Francis Bacon's work Novum Organum, specifically the section in book 1 covering the "four idols of the human mind" This episode focuses specifically on his description of the fourth type of idol, those of the theater, which derive from either entire philosophical systems, which Bacon likens to fictions and plays, or from perverted rules of demonstration, or from too exclusive of a focus on one aspect or element of a science. Bacon divides the three kinds of philosophies he criticizes into sophistic (exemplified by Aristotle), empiric, and superstitious or theological (exemplified by Plato). Krankheiten und Verletzungen: Hochsprung-Stars Tamberi, Barshim und Potye kämpfen bei Olympia In dieser spannenden Episode von „MainAthlet“ tauchen wir ein in die Highlights des siebten Wettkampftages der Olympischen Spiele 2024 in Paris. Marathon-Mix-Staffel im Gehen: Ein absolutes Novum bei den Olympischen Spielen, das Team Deutschland bestehend aus Christopher Linke und Saskia Feige sicherte sich einen starken 10. Platz. Chris startete stark und übergab in Führung liegend an Saskia, die sich gegen bärenstarke Konkurrenz behaupten musste. Trotz Rückschlägen gelang es dem Duo, in den Top Ten zu bleiben. Männlicher Hochsprung: Tobias Potye, trotz einer schwierigen Saison und Verletzungen, kämpfte sich bis zur Qualifikation, schied jedoch leider verletzungsbedingt ohne gültigen Versuch aus. Auch große Favoriten wie Gianmarco Tamberi und Mutaz Essa Barshim kämpften mit gesundheitlichen Problemen. Tamberi, der erst vor kurzem aus dem Krankenhaus entlassen wurde, zeigte trotz Fieber und Verdacht auf Nierensteine eine beeindruckende Leistung. Barshim hingegen kämpfte mit einer Wadenzerrung, die ihn sichtlich behinderte. Frauen-Speerwurf: Christin Hussung erzielte in ihrer Qualifikationsgruppe eine Weite von 59,99 Metern, was jedoch nicht für das Finale reichte. Eine enttäuschende Leistung, aber sie bleibt kämpferisch. 1500 Meter Frauen: Nele Wessel, EM-Finalistin, zeigte eine mutige Leistung im Hoffnungslauf, erreichte jedoch nur Platz 9. Dennoch kann sie stolz auf ihre Auftritte bei diesen Olympischen Spielen sein. 110 Meter Hürden Männer: Im Halbfinale der Männer zeigte sich ein berührendes Bild: Die französischen Athleten wurden im Zielbereich von einem Bildschirm begrüßt, auf dem ihre Familien live zugeschaltet waren – eine tolle Neuerung! Frauen-Stabhochsprung: Anjuli Knäsche sprang ihre persönliche Bestleistung von 4,40 Metern, schied aber bei 4,60 Metern aus und landete auf Platz 14. Eine respektable Leistung in einem starken Feld. Männer-Dreisprung: Max Hess sicherte sich mit einem Sprung von 16,89 Metern den Einzug ins Finale und zeigte, dass er bereit ist, sich mit den Besten der Welt zu messen. 400 Meter Hürden Männer: Joshua Abuaku und Emil Agyekum verpassten beide den Finaleinzug, zeigten aber starke Leistungen. Insbesondere Joshua hatte ein extrem starkes Halbfinale und zeigte großen Kampfgeist. 200 Meter Männer: Joshua Hartmann lief im Halbfinale gegen starke Konkurrenz und erreichte eine gute Zeit von 20,47 Sekunden, verpasste aber das Finale knapp. Männer-Diskus: Clemens Prüfer beendete das Finale mit einer starken Leistung und wurde Sechster. Mit 67,41 Metern zeigte er eine solide Weite und kann zufrieden mit seiner Leistung sein.
