On today's show, we're amazed how fast this NFL season has gone by; it's wild that we're almost a quarter of the way through the schedule already but it proves the time honored adage that time flies when you're having fun. The Niners and the Eagles are having a blast out there as the league's last remaining undefeated teams at 4-0, but it's always more fun when you're winning and I'd have to say that based on expectations, after being drafted last 2 years ago, Mr Irrelevant Brock Purdy is probably having the most fun of anyone. The Dolphins have played the most fun style of football so far with their wide open offense, and the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are always exciting, but having Taylor Swift on their side has made their games fun for the whole family. Lions fans are having a good time for the first time in years, and Bucs fans are probably surprised at how enjoyable their Sundays have been this fall, but not everyone is having fun. Jets fans came in with outsized expectations and have been understandably miserable through 4 weeks, as are Bengals fans, who had realistic Super Bowl aspirations, and injuries to their star QBs have been the main cause for their consternation, but Bears fans can't even blame injuries for their woes, as the team has seemingly imploded and Justin Fields has definitely had better days. But as an impartial observer, as a fan without any rooting interest, I'm having a great time watching it all unfold each and every Sunday, so shoutout to Stugotz and Billy Gil, God bless football. And as an NBA fan, I'm having fun already and the season hasn't even started yet, just anticipating the return of hoops and watching the recent flurry of trades that have sent Dame to the Bucks and Jrue to the Celtics. And with MLB's playoffs starting this week, we're headed right into the sports eclipse, the most fun time of year for me as a sports fan. So sit back, the NBA announces its presence, the NFL season is as unpredictable as ever, MLB Playoffs are here and we're breaking down how it's all unfolding, next on the Roundup Podcast so let's get rolling . . . 14:39 - MLB Wild Card 17:41 - All Around the NBA: Dame and Jrue Trade Winners and Losers 48:20 - Evaluating College QBs 53:00 - All Around the NFL thru Week 4
In this episode on 'Conversations With", mental illness advocates Shaley Hoogendoorn and Jes of @bipolarcomedy club talk about all things bipolar. Jes is an absolute delight. She shares her story with humour and depth. You will hear about some wild things that she has lived through. From a manic purchase of compost worms to how she believed that she was headed to Hogwarts when in actuality she was going to the mental hospital. Despite the really hard things both Shaley and Jess have experienced with having bipolar disorder, they were able to laugh at the absurdity of it all. Both believe it is healing to find others that understand. This brave conversation gives insight to what it feels like to live with bipolar 1 disorder with psychosis. This is bipolar... If you really loved it, would you consider making a small donation to further support the work of 'this is bipolar'. I am forever grateful that I get to do this bipolar advocacy work. Meet Jes: Jes is a mental health advocate and aspiring standup comedian from Malaysia. She was initially given the diagnosis Bipolar 1 with psychosis in 2019 following a major psychotic episode while working in London, UK. The aftermath of the breakdown left her with a lot of shame and self-stigma; especially since there is such a high level of taboo ingrained growing up in Asia surrounding mental illness. It was a rather turbulent recovery journey, but Jes began turning to comedy as a coping mechanism by starting rooms on the Clubhouse app to connect with others who have experienced similar struggles. Soon, Jes started leading the Bipolar Comedy Club (@bipolarcomedy club) community by hosting regular events for people living with bipolar worldwide such as Open Mics, Book Clubs and Sunday Fundays. She also hosts an interview series on Instagram LIVE called Friday Frasier where she has spoken to prominent people in the mental health community such as authors, comedians, influencers, content creators, podcast hosts, musicians etc. Through her sharing with others, she was encouraged to try standup comedy. One thing led to another and now she has been consistently performing in the Malaysian comedy scene. HAHA is it just another hypomanic dream to have her own Netflix special?! Only time will tell :P #thisisbipolar #thisisbipolarpodcast #bipolarawareness #bipolar #bipolardisorder

We are back with the 2 adorable gossip queens Danielle and Liv and we are getting down to the juiciest gossip of all. You cannot miss this episode. We hear about a call girl who logged into her billionaire clients facebook and replaced his profile picture with theirs and posted all their explicit pictures for his wife and everyone to see. There are 2 types of wives of the wealthy - there are the ones that drive a Bentley, have the unlimited Credit Cards, the mansions etc and they do not care what their husbands do - out of sight out of mind and then there are the wives that want to kill you. We learn about the swingers and the married men that announce they are separated. A crazy situation with one of Dallas most famous billionaires that went down in the back of a club. VIP parties where you have to leave your phones in a basket and sign a NDA before entering. We hear about crazy gossip about a college basket ball star and an A list actor. The A list actor thought it was a great idea to film himself and the girl he was with snorting cocaine and having sex on her phone. He and his whole crew came in the club the next day and demanded to see the phone and deleted the video - little did he know that she had already sent it to all her girlfriends who still have it to this day. We learn about Redneck and Paycheck events where the bikini contests are like sex shows. More crazy outrageous gossip about a 65 year old married guy who shows up with 10 Latinas and what happens next. One of the more crazy stories about a suburbia swinger couple where the wife contracted Aids and ended up dying. The out of control SMU kids that show up with their Daddy's credit cards and party it up and live their best lives. A juicy gossip story about a famous married Bravo house wife making out with a young guy in a booth at the club. We learn all about the best spots to people watch on Sundays and all that Sunday Fundays entail in Dallas. This week is our effort of trying to keep our episode recordings alive. We've been very spread out lately about when we record and planning topics. #SUNDAYSWe both have been doing some serious Sunday Fundays at our churches. Great experiences. Including Sean getting COVID-19 as a breakthrough case. Bummer! But he's doing well, just pray that Sean endures thru the boredom. We got an inside scoop on how stuff tastes, and mowing the lawn while dealing with the bug. #IsolationsucksWe also talk about partying our church services out the door, instrumental smooth jazz worship (who plays Jazz Saxophone worship?), polarizing church over a rams horn, being blacklisted from a facebook group, blanking for the worship burrito and then Sean saves the day with the newest album release by NEEDTOBREATHE, over-priced concert tickets, and opposed genre choices NeedToBreathe vs. Rancid for your worship experience. #RancidshofarusageWe also talk about seeing more of God and His glory. How is God talking to us lately? What is God talking to us about? This is a super important part of everyone's life and we felt like sharing our personal relationship with God with our listeners. We desire to hear God more audibly. Thank you for joining our conversation. We really do hope that you enjoy our banter and that you find a glimmer of genius somewhere in the crazy.Blessings

I never thought I would experience it again. In the past couple weeks, I've been riding the emotional roller coaster of caregiving again. It's funny how fast you forget about those firsts. The first inkling something isn't right with your loved one.The initial shock and numbness when you hear the bad news. Then comes all those emotions of sadness, crying, grief, anger, frustration, confusion, worry, and lack of focus. First, let me tell you about my Mom. I'm blessed to have a great mother-daughter relationship. She is an energizer bunny and social butterfly. The one that is always willing to help. She is the hard working blue collar worker with her own cleaning business. She is still cleaning small apartments at age 79. She was married to Dad 57 years until he passed in 2018. They both traveled, enjoyed spending time together and spent 15 winters in Arizona.Mom and I did some Mother Daughter trips to Jamaica, Arizona, Minneapolis and BransonIn the last 3 years I watched my Mom transform from a struggling widow to a strong, independent, happy woman. If you follow me on Facebook, you 'll see our Sunday Fundays together. When I visit her at her senior apartment, her phone is always ringing and someone is knocking on her door. But now, she is faced with cancer. I noticed over the last month that she wasn't feeling well and then the biopsy confirmed it. We are still waiting for test results this week to find out the formal diagnosis, treatment options and recommendations. The one thing I learned in the last three years is that I'm a better caregiver advocate to grow a team and find resourcesYou need people that will stick with you through thick and thin. People you can lean on and help you through this challenging time. Why should you build a team?Your loved one isn't able to manage their own care. Your loved one's main job is getting well. You can't do it all. This is simply too much for one person. Unfortunately this is my 4th round of my loved one's cancer diagnosis As my mom is going through her tests, biopsy, scans and doctor appointments. I've been journaling and thinking about forming the team. Get my free journaling promptsStart with you the primary caregiver. Debbie Moses Day - the precious Mom of our sweet friend Keith joins us on this tribute show to talk about all things Keith, his life and his legacy. When a mother loses a child her biggest fear is for this child to be forgotten. We wanted to make sure that Keith will never be forgotten and wanted to dedicate an entire show to him, with all of our favorite memories. Even though Keith was an adult, he was Debbie's only child and the loss has been devastating to her. Keith was only 35 years old. Debbie wants this podcast to be a 2 fold thing - Honoring Keith's memory but also giving tips and spreading awareness to other parents of adult children that may be struggling. We learn all about Keith the young child, and early school years and how he got the name Scooter. Keith was never shy and made lots of friends always. He was a daredevil from the young age of 5. He never felt any fear. He was into BMX and won lots of trophies. Debbie shares lots of fun and cute stories and how he became a ladies man. She tells of some teenage shenanigans. Keith always treated her special and loving, but especially on Mother's Day he always spoiled and surprised her. After High School Keith went to the Marines, but broke his foot towards the very end of boot camp and that is when things started to change for him and he started getting into drugs at age 19. At age 21 he got into more trouble and was arrested - that is when Debbie pieced together that he was more in trouble that she thought. She says it was hard, because he was now an adult and she no longer had any control. He started hanging out with the wrong crowd which made things worse. She buried her head in the sand because she didn't want to know. We talk about Keith's love for bowling and how competitive he was. Keith was always entrepreneurial minded and was into many things but then decided to concentrate only on his real estate, but Debbie thinks he got lonely when he moved backto downtown Dallas, when things really started going bad again. In November of 2016, Chris Allen, one of Keith's best friends suddenly passed away from an accidental drug overdose, followed by Davin Watson in April of 2017. Twins that Keith went to school withcommitted suicide. Those losses really overwhelmed Keith, but he kept his feelings to himself and wouldn't ask anyone for help. He started pushing everyone away. Keith didn't want to let anyone down and didn't want anyone to see him when he would get off track. When you look at Keith that is not the face you would think was in trouble. Marcella talks about one of the last Sunday Fundays she had with Keith where she saw him take prescription pills and told him that she worried about his heart. He assured her he was fine. Debbie wants to tell everyone that parents need to have open conversations with their grown children, even if they reject them. If anyone feels that their grown child is pulling away, not calling as often, not visiting as much, those are red flags and you need to deal with them and not bury your head in the sand. There is a fine line between parents and their grown children but you should never stop trying to help them. Debbie recalls texting with Keith to make birthday plans with him 2 days before he was found dead. He requested Pina Colada cake (his favorite) and told her he loved her. Then Debbie tells us about the moment she received the detectives call, that told her that Keith overdosed and what happened next. She was in severe shock and cannot remember many things from that moment on. She is very thankful to all the family and people that helped during that time and still today. She just wishes everyone would bring up Keith's name all the time. Debbie then addresses the fact that Keith's casket was open at his funeral against her wishes but why she agreed to do it. She doesn't remember anybody at the funeral except when Davin's Mom hugged herand handed her a card with her phone number. Debbie knew she knew her pain. She is so happy that she has heard from so many people that loved Keith. She loved reading all the messages from all the people.Debbie knows that Keith is in heaven, she found a bible she gave him a long time ago on his nightstand. Debbie knows he is with God and that God is taking care of him. She had a dream of Keith coming back and telling her that he is sorry for hurting her. We talk about more favorite, fun memories with Keith. Memories that we have forever. Memories of suicide shots, easter eggs eaten with the shell on, Keith wearing a girls mermaid tail, late night races, Sunday Fundays, breakfasts at Denny's, sleepovers on our couch and bagel breakfasts, his kindness when helping homeless people and his sense of style and of course his foot fetish. He never talked bad about anyone and hated gossip. Debbie wants Keith to be remembered as the person that brought people together, a person you could count on, that was fun, happy and all the good things. He made such a big impact on people's lives. We believe that he pulled away from everyone before his death because he wants for everyone to remember him happy. Debbie remembers standing in Keith's apartment where he died looking out the window to Methodist Hospital where he was born. Rest in Peace Keith, We love you The autopsy report said Keith passed away from an overdose of Methamphetamine.

The boys say farewell to Fig as he leaves for an extended hiatus in Brazil; thankfully the Earth is flat so it’s just a quick flight. They discuss some unique things to do and not do while there (Hostels, McDonald’s, Sushi Steakhouses), Tom seems to be confused on which Amazon Fig will be near while he’s down there, and Danny ponders what he’ll do on his Sunday Fundays while Fig is gone.
DJ AudiTory & Tony Del Freshco return to discuss AstroWorld Fest, recent deaths, the top producers in the game, The Rockets without Melo, trash ass thanksgiving plates and much more. We also got the best chops you can ever find on a podcast.
Good morning, Hangover Club! Or, more realistically, bad morning? Either way, we’re sure you’ll enjoy some fun tech house tunes as your soundtrack for one of the last Sunday Fundays of summer! Joining us on the struggle bus today, we have @sivzmusic with an awesome guest mix! Sivz hails from Vancouver, BC, so we first became acquainted (as most DJs do) through SoundCloud and Instagram a few years ago due to our similar, G-housey sound at the time. Since then, she’s taken her city by storm. On top of playing support for all the biggest names in house and tech, she founded passion project @beatginnings in 2017 - an initiative that helps local DJs & producers break into Vancouver’s saturated electronic music scene. Sivz also hosts events under her own brand, Sylections and has spent the summer dominating the BC festival circuit, playing Bass Coast, Snowbombing, and more. Her collaboration release, "We Movin'" on Sheppards Records charted on Beatport and she’s back in the studio now working on more projects, which we can’t wait to hear. We got to party with Sivz at Dirtybird Campout a couple years ago and she’s our kind of girl - if you hang out with her, you will probably end up hungover. On her recommendation, get your day started today with a Burt Reynolds shot - spiced rum and butterscotch schnapps - something we’d never heard of but are definitely going to have to try now! Good luck out there, partiers! If you like what you hear, please LIKE, COMMENT, REPOST, and SHARE! xoxo No Pants Party TRACKLIST: No Pants Party 1. Cut Snake - Party Tutorial 2. And now Scott and his partners are getting ready to open the G.O.A.T., a new sports bar right across from the Clarendon Metro station in the former Hard Times Cafe space. Scott has helped to build this empire based on Sunday Fundays and happy hour drink specials all while having a somewhat unique personal background for a bar impresario: he does not drink. We sat down with Scott to discuss all of that and the Arlington bar and restaurant scene in general on this week's 26 Square Miles podcast.
