Besides this, he is doing Illustration, animation, and giving workshops on visualization for beginners and advanced practitioners. Besides that, he was working with painting, sculpture, sound, dance, and performance. He loves any kind of improvisation and chance operations. Despite his nonexisting Latin skills he still believes that: „Nihil est in intellectu quod non sit prius in sensu“ (translates as "Nothing is in the intellect that was not first in the senses").   He’s a sucker for metaphors and thinks they are multivitamin shots of information for the brain. They are shortcuts that help see things with humor and from an unexpected perspective. Our friendly bugs in the system.   Jens is convinced that visualization is way more than icon juggling. It brings up powerful images that can help shape our mindset and change our behavior in any kind. Jens is super excited about any technique to invite our brain to change and to emerge new things. "How would you feel if you had a seizure again? Could you emotionally and mentally handle it? Would it feel like everything was falling apart? Would epilepsy have control?”WARNING: This episode contains a graphic descriptions and creative depiction of what it feels like to Jade when she has a seizure. For 2 years, this podcast has been sharing stories from adventurous people with epilepsy. And making this podcast has taken my life in a direction I never thought about. I have learned to make a number of different types of episode on this show. This series, we’ve had a lot more chats with new adventurers - and these chats are so much fun to have. But, my favourite episodes to make, have to be the storytelling episodes. They are very labour intensive, they can take months to write, record and edit together, pick the right music and making sure the narration fits into the rhythm of that music. So, we haven’t had a storytelling episode in Season 2. But, I’m very happy to be able to bring you this bonus by Jade Nelson.Jade approached me with this story at the end of 2019… so for one reason and another, it has taken a year to pull it together. But this story is meaningful now as it was when it was written. And at a time when many are confined by circumstance to adventures closer to home, there are some great lessons for us to hear as well.Disclaimer: All stories are personal experience. It's certainly not uncommon for weddings to be planned by more than one person – bride and groom, bride and mom, groom and groom, bride and her bff! And when you're a wedding pro trying to sell, it's challenging to know who you need to actually sell to. In this week's episode of the This Week In Weddings podcast, we're chatting with Sam Jacobson about the best ways to sell when there are multiple people in the room, checking out your website, and potentially reading your email responses. About our guest: Sam Jacobson helps event pros book more couples with science-backed sales approaches honed over 15 years in the wedding industry. He focuses on how to guide the buyer’s journey, discover couples’ real needs, and create sales proposals that sell themselves. Sam’s led companies in venues, catering, planning, design, décor, and floral. He’s personally responded to thousands of inquiries, and booked hundreds of couples for millions in revenue. He knows how and why couples make decisions. Sam founded Ideaction four years ago with his wife, Katy. Since then, their team of seven has worked 1:1 with nearly 200 clients. In this episode, listeners will hear about: Sam's background in the event industry and how his company, Ideaction Consulting, helps wedding pros with the sales process Sam's first episode on the podcast - Episode 11: The Four Types of Business Personas The potential decision makers that wedding pros are simultaneously selling to – brides, grooms, moms dads, and more! The importance of determining who the actual decision makers are and what their needs and concerns are before trying to sell How to use your website to speak to multiple people involved in the buying process Questions to ask during the discovery phase of the sales process to better determine the clients' pain points Tips for working with wedding planners when they are part of the sales process and therefore one of the decision makers Want to connect with Sam?
