Hey there everyone! Welcome back to another episode of The Female Empowered Podcast. Today, I am talking about one of my favorite topics – pricing. We often see in our industry that the pricing is comparable to the other businesses in the market rather than according to their expenses, their capacity, and their profitability. It's not your fault if you also practice this in your business, but, the truth is, if you need to generate $100 an hour to meet your expenses and pay yourself as a business owner but you are only charging $90, you will never hit your goal no matter how hard you work. I wanted to talk about pricing in this episode so you can get some tips and guides on raising your prices this 2024. This is one of the first things we look at when business owners join our programs. We will be getting into the nitty gritty of evaluating your pricing objectively, deciding if you need to raise your prices for profitability, how you can communicate a price update with your clients and your staff, and how you can respond to the reaction to the increase in your prices. Let's dive into:     Introduction to today's topicThe very first thing that we check with our clientsReasons why small boutique fitness brands need to raise prices Checking which expenses have increased Looking at the biggest trends this 2024 How to determine what kind of price increase is going to benefit your bottom line the most, and how to compute the profit margin and the price increaseLooking at the costs of employing a person Importance of understanding your numbers and your profit margin How to compute your profit margin Why it's important to do market analysisHow to effectively communicate your change in pricing and some sample e-mail communications that we give our clients when we do price updatesReasons why you should raise your prices ConclusionIf you are a business generating over $250,000 in annual revenue and you are ready to get the kind of system, structure, strategy, and deep dive into your numbers the way we do it at the Inner Circle, we still have three spots for the program. If you are interested, registration for the Inner Circle is still open! The title is “Overcoming Overthinking for the Female Business Owner.”I think that many of the people who resonate with me, join my mentorship group, and listen to my podcast are similar in the fact that we all tend to be high achievers. And in the many meetings I have, we talk a lot about not only overthinking, but also catastrophizing.I worked on overthinking and catastrophizing for the last five or six years. For a while, I actually thought that everyone thought the same and everyone was just like me – that they also drive themselves crazy.Later, I realized that I've been sending myself into these spirals that aren't even necessary because there are so many things I overthink that are completely out of my control or are completely made up in my head. With this episode, I hope you understand that you are not alone and there are things that we can do so that we overcome overthinking together!Let's talk about:   Introduction to today's topicThe type of thoughts that comes to my mind because of being an overthinkerWhat is overthinking and catastrophizingWomen tend to ruminate 30 percent more than men doWhy is overthinking seen predominantly in women in businessThe implications of constantly catastrophizing and overthinking: Analysis Paralysis, Decision Paralysis    Some case studies on the causes and results of overthinking for women in businessHow overthinking affects your healthHow you can have adaptive problem solving and analytical skills without creating maladaptive rumination and overthinkingSome solutions for overthinking that worked for me as well as solutions based on researchesSome interventions, mindset shift, reframing that you can do for your overthinkingA few case studies relevant to being mindful and avoiding overthinking for female business ownersWhat I did during the time that I was feeling overwhelmed with my business or when team members leave my companyConclusionKnow that things are eventually going to work out and the universe will conspire in your favor!Looking for advice and resources to help you market and grow your clinic or client based business? In this solo episode, I sit down to chat about the division of labor and why I think it is such an important topic. I discuss the unfortunate reality that is the disadvantage, from the very beginning, the mother is put in when it comes to division of labor and why this topic is one that every couple should be discussing. I share stories submitted by the FF Family and also reflect on how Joe and I have evolved and grown since early postpartum. I share our struggles in navigating the topic and the tools that helped us get to where we are today. Key Takeaway / Points:Unpacking why I think division of labor is such an important topicThe unfortunate reality of the birthing person in a relationship being set up at a disadvantage from the very beginningReflecting back on early postpartum and the feelings of resentment/anger I had and how “keeping score” sets you up for failureTools that helped Joe and I tackle this topic and get to a place where we both feel appreciatedWhat the division of labor currently looks like for usListen to the Terrible, Thanks for Asking podcast episode “Fairplay at Home” hereBuy Eve Rodsky's book, Fairplay, hereBuy the Fair Play card deck hereFollow me:Instagram: @freckledfoodieWebsite: freckledfoodie.comTikTok: freckledfoodieTwitter: @freckledfoodieYoutube: Cameron Rogers / Freckled FoodiePinterest: Freckled FoodieThis episode was edited by Tim Flanzbaum See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

No one talks about it much but Jenn found it for us, scientifically, what happens to make us wake up, why we're more groggy some days and a bit of the body's biology upon waking. From there, Jenn translates it all into how we can design our perfect mornings. As much as there's a checklist, Jenn advises us to think about it more like a menu.
