In this solo episode, David Richter breaks down why so many real estate investors and business owners feel like their CPA isn't delivering, and why the problem usually starts long before tax season. The real issue isn't your accountant — it's the quality of the books, the communication process, and whether you have anyone connecting the dots between your bookkeeper, your CPA, and your actual financial goals. If you're tired of surprise tax bills, slow response times, and feeling like you're always paying backwards, this episode gives you the framework to fix all three.Timeline Highlights[0:26] The real reason most people are frustrated with their CPA — and why the first question to ask is whether you actually gave them what they needed[0:46] The three financial statements your CPA needs to do their job well: a clean profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statement[1:08] Why communication process matters just as much as clean books — and what to establish with your accountant before tax season hits[1:46] Three ways to know your books are actually accurate: self-education, hiring a fractional CFO to oversee your bookkeeper, or having your CPA periodically review the books throughout the year[2:45] How a CPA uses your books inside professional tax software to find every legitimate deduction and minimize what you owe[3:16] Why keeping books current throughout the year allows your CPA to give you forward-looking tax estimates instead of just reacting to last year's numbers[3:39] How Profit First's dedicated tax bank account lets you pay quarterly tax estimates without touching operating expenses or owner pay[4:16] What to clarify upfront with your CPA: turnaround times on emails, how many calls are included, and what it costs to get more access[4:51] How a fractional CFO acts as the connective tissue between your bookkeeper and your CPA — managing both relationships and helping you actually implement tax strategy[5:14] Closing call to action: visit profitrei.com to schedule a free discovery callKey TakeawaysClean books are the foundation of everything. Your CPA can only minimize your tax liability with accurate numbers. If the profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statement aren't in order, no amount of tax strategy will close the gap.Don't wait until April to talk to your accountant. When books are maintained throughout the year, your CPA can give you real-time tax estimates so you're paying quarterly and planning ahead — not scrambling when the bill arrives.Establish your communication expectations upfront. How fast do they respond to emails? How many calls are included? What does it cost to get more access? Knowing this before you need it saves a lot of frustration later.A Profit First tax account removes the guesswork from quarterly payments. Setting aside tax money throughout the year from a dedicated account means you're never raiding operations or owner pay to cover a surprise bill.A fractional CFO is the missing layer between your bookkeeper and your CPA. They keep the books clean, manage the CPA relationship, and make sure the tax strategy your accountant recommends actually gets implemented in your business. Most CPA frustrations are a systems problem, not a people problem. When the right infrastructure — accurate bookkeeping, clear communication, and financial leadership — is in place, your CPA can do their best work.Links & ResourcesSimple CFO — simplecfo.comProfit First for Real Estate Investors — profitrei.com (free financial discovery call)ClosingIf this episode gave you a clearer picture of what it actually takes to get the most out of your CPA relationship, pass it along to a fellow investor who's still blaming their accountant for a problem that starts with the books. Google's Gemini Omni leaked online and it might be the first AI video model that gets text rendering right, including a professor writing mathematically accurate equations on a board. Unitree's GD-01, the same company that did the Chinese New Year robot fighting demo, dropped a mass-produced mecha suit weighing over 500 pounds at $650K. If you're saying yes to every patient request, you're not delivering better service—you're creating inconsistency in your results, your operations, and your revenue. That "do whatever the patient asks" mindset might feel like good customer service, but it actually limits your ability to grow a profitable, scalable aesthetics practice. Today, I break down the shift from transactional, a la carte services to structured, outcome-driven treatment plans—and why that change is what separates busy med spas from valuable businesses. Where "Yes to Everything" Starts to Break Your Aesthetics Practice The bottleneck I see most often is an order-taking approach that fragments your service delivery and weakens patient outcomes. When you allow patients to pick treatments piece by piece, you lose control of the client journey. That leads to inconsistent results, lower patient trust, and missed opportunities to build long-term retention and repeat business. This isn't just a clinical issue—it directly impacts your medspa revenue, your operational efficiency, and ultimately your enterprise value. What Happens When You Design for Outcomes Instead of Transactions If you want stronger results and more predictable growth, your model has to shift. • Why comprehensive treatment plans increase client retention and lifetime value • How patient education reduces pricing sensitivity and builds trust • The role of holistic, multimodality plans in improving patient outcomes • Why structured offers simplify operations, hiring, and provider accountability • How clear client journeys drive referrals and more consistent revenue How to Move From A La Carte Med Spa Services to Patient Plans If you want to operate at a higher level, you need to take control of the solution—not just the service. Start by anchoring every consultation in the patient's long-term aesthetic goals, not the single treatment they asked for. Build a complete plan that includes the necessary services, cadence, and product recommendations required to achieve that outcome. Standardize how those plans are delivered so every provider follows the same framework. This creates consistency in both patient experience and results, while making your practice easier to scale. Most importantly, stop compromising the plan. When you allow patients to strip down what's required, you weaken the outcome—and that affects both satisfaction and retention. The Role You Need to Step Into as You Grow If you're scaling your med spa or thinking about expansion, your role has to evolve from provider to advisor. Stop and ask yourself: • Am I guiding the patient journey, or reacting to requests? • Are my treatment plans consistent across providers? • Can my team confidently recommend full solutions without me? • Do my results reflect a system—or individual decisions? Without a defined, repeatable structure, growth creates more complexity instead of more profitability. Is rabies the closest thing to a real zombie virus? In this episode of Dog Works Radio, we explore the science behind rabies as a behavioral manipulation virus, inspired by Cujo and modern films like 28 Days Later. We discuss how rabies alters the brain, increases aggression and salivation to spread infection, and why it has terrified humans for thousands of years. We also dive into toxoplasmosis and other parasites that literally change animal behavior to benefit transmission. Most importantly, we explain what dog owners need to understand about sudden aggression, neurological changes, and the difference between a training issue and a medical emergency. Sometimes the scariest stories aren't fiction. They are biology. Thread lifts have been around for years—but misconceptions about safety, longevity, and effectiveness still keep many patients confused. In this episode of The Plastic Surgery Revolution, Dr. Steven Davis explains when threads work, why they work, and who they're actually for. Drawing on decades of experience—including teaching thread techniques nationwide—Dr. Davis breaks down how modern dissolvable threads stimulate collagen, create lift, and can deliver long-lasting results when used correctly. He also explains why threads should never be treated like fillers, how improper aftercare can sabotage results, and why the most powerful outcomes often come from a strategic combination of threads, fillers, and laser treatments. If you've been told threads “don't work,” this episode explains why the problem may not be the threads—but the plan. If 2025 exposed anything for health coaches, it's this: the ones who won had a plan. Not a wish, not a "hope this year is better," but a real, structured blueprint that guided their content, their systems, their scheduling, and their growth. In today's episode, I'm breaking down the full 2026 Success Blueprint we unveiled at the IHP Live / RHS weekend — the same framework top coaches are already using to map out their biggest year yet. You'll discover: The monthly content rhythm that keeps you visible, relevant, and in-demand without burning out The 6 core systems every coach needs in place before January 1st How to create weekly accountability loops so you always know what to post, what to send, and what to focus on The three-part messaging formula that turns your story, your expertise, and your mission into magnetic client attraction Why most coaches "float" through the year — and how to fix that with a simple 90-day planning cadence The exact workflow we taught at IHP Live that shows you how to run your entire practice from one organized weekly dashboard How to align your purpose, schedule, and client experience so your business finally supports your life, not the other way around This isn't theory. It's the real blueprint — the one that hundreds of coaches saw live, took notes on, and are already implementing. By the end of this episode, you'll walk away with a step-by-step structure for 2026 that eliminates overwhelm, simplifies your decisions, and sets you up to grow your practice with clarity and confidence. Reclaim your cognitive sovereignty by harnessing precision frequency medicine to counteract digital overload. This breakthrough Restorative Audio combines ancestral sound wisdom with cutting-edge neuroscience research from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, utilizing three therapeutic frequency protocols—alpha wave entrainment (8-12 Hz), the Perfect Fifth interval for autonomic balance, and precision binaural beats—to measurably restore your overwhelmed neural networks. The ScienceResearch demonstrates that chronic digital saturation suppresses the parasympathetic nervous system while hyperactivating the amygdala, creating perpetual cognitive overload. Brain wave entrainment through therapeutic frequencies reverses this damage: studies show 23% cortisol reduction, improved heart rate variability, and enhanced cognitive performance within 20-minute sessions. The Perfect Fifth interval (C 256 Hz with G 384 Hz) stimulates nitric oxide production and pituitary endogenous opiates, while alpha-theta frequencies synchronize neural oscillations with Earth's Schumann Resonance, promoting measurable systemic coherence.Real-World Benefits- Reduces cortisol levels and restores autonomic nervous system balance- Enhances cognitive flexibility and creative problem-solving capacity- Improves focus without tension through optimal alpha-theta threshold- Decreases perceived stress and mental fatigue- Upregulates cellular repair genes and promotes neuroplasticity- Measurable improvements in heart rate variability and inflammatory markersUsage GuideFrequency:Daily 15-20 minute sessions for optimal neurological recalibration Equipment:Quality headphones for precise binaural beat delivery Environment:Low-EMF settings enhance therapeutic response Best Results:4-6 weeks consistent practice for epigenetic gene expression changes Hydration:Increase water intake to enhance cellular conductivity and frequency responseSubscribe for extended 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions and full Restorative Audio library access.Send us a textSupport the show

In this episode of the HNL Movement Podcast, Andrew dives into the importance of sticking with a program long enough to truly maximize your results. Too often, athletes and fitness enthusiasts move on from exercises or programs after only a few attempts, thinking they've already mastered them or searching for something new. Andrew explains why real progress takes time, repetition, and consistency, and how improvements often don't reveal themselves until you've practiced something over and over again.Throughout the episode, Andrew emphasizes finding the right balance between variety and consistency in training. While variety has its place to keep things engaging and challenging, the key to lasting progress comes from repeating and refining the fundamentals. He draws from relatable examples in both training and sport, showing how mastery and breakthroughs happen only when you commit to practicing with focus and intention over time. This episode serves as a reminder to trust the process and be patient with your progress. The small refinements you make from one session to the next eventually add up to big results. Tune in to learn why sticking with your program, rather than constantly chasing novelty, is the real path to improving performance. Enjoy the episode!
