BT's Final Ride: One Last Show on the WFAN Front Lines!

It's the end of the road for a New York radio stalwart. In this emotional and high-energy final broadcast, Brandon Tierney officially signs off as a full-time host on WFAN. Refusing to go out with a whimper, BT brings in the big guns with A-list guests Alex Rodriguez and Rick Pitino to celebrate a career built on "emptying the tank" every single day. BT doesn't hold back on his final sports takes either, ripping into the "inexcusable" coaching decisions of Tom Thibodeau and standing firm as an Aaron Glenn supporter despite the Jets' defensive "train wreck." He reflects on his journey from Brooklyn Little League to the Division 1 mound and finally to the pinnacle of New York sports talk. While the day is bittersweet, BT leaves with his head high, delivering a masterclass in authenticity and connection, proving that while this chapter is closing, the "Unkillable" brand is only just beginning.

In a deeply personal and high-energy final segment, Brandon Tierney reflects on his journey at WFAN, the evolution of his relationship with Sal Licata, and the "stand up" reputation they built together. BT looks back at the "full circle" moment of meeting a young Sal in a makeup room years ago and how that morphed into the "Big Brother" bond they share today. He shares touching stories of painting his son's nursery Yankee Blue, gives raw advice to a fellow dad on raising athletes, and prepares to dust off the legendary "Unkillable" speech for one last time. It's a heartfelt "fist pump" to the listeners who made the show a New York staple.

In this emotional and raw segment from his final full-time show on WFAN, Brandon Tierney reflects on a career defined by volatility, grit, and an obsession with "the Batphone." BT takes listeners back to 1999 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he made just $16,000 a year and didn't even know how to run a soundboard. He recalls a shoestring budget operation where he sat in a separate room from his co-host, watching a single phone line light up like the Bat-signal—his cue to rip off his headset and play producer just to talk to the fans. The conversation turns from the past to the present as BT connects with "stand-up" callers like Al from Howard Beach, reminding the audience why sports radio is more than just scores—it's about the "CYO hustle" and the shared upbringing of New York sports fans. Tierney reflects on the "brutal business" of radio with zero regrets, promising one last look at his famous "Unkillable" speech before handing the mic over to New York legends Alex Rodriguez and Rick Pitino.

On his final day at WFAN, Brandon Tierney takes listeners back to September 12, 2023—the morning after Aaron Rodgers' season-ending Achilles injury just four plays into his Jets debut. Reliving the infamous "Unkillable" speech, BT describes the "out of body" experience of trying to find hope in "football hell" while standing up for Zach Wilson. He reflects on the vulnerability of being a raw, authentic host and explains why that "unkillable" mindset isn't just about sports—it's about surviving life's toughest hits. This is BT at his most personal, closing his chapter at The Fan with the same fire that ignited a viral movement.

In a raw and transparent episode of Unkillable, Brandon Tierney delivers a brutal post-mortem on what he calls an "utterly unwatchable" decade of New York football. As the Giants prepare for the Vikings and the Jets head to New Orleans, BT admits he's rooting for losses to secure the future—specifically the potential of rookie sensation Jaxson Dart leading Big Blue to a title. He questions if the Giants will take a "big swing" at a coach like Mike Tomlin and wonders if Jets' coach Aaron Glenn is already on the hot seat. The fire moves to the diamond as BT targets Brian Cashman, standing by his claim that the Yankees GM hasn't earned the right to rebuild the roster. Despite his skepticism of management, BT geeks out over a "radical" vision for the 2026 Yankees, imagining a "best in baseball" rotation featuring a vintage Gerrit Cole, Max Fried, and Japanese ace Munetaka Murakami. He also defends young guns like Austin Wells and Ben Rice, challenging fans to recognize the "stud" potential in the Yankees' homegrown talent.

Addressing the station's lineup overhaul and the return of Craig Carton, BT remains remarkably galvanized, choosing to focus on the future rather than the "sadness" of the show's end. He reflects on his cross-country hustle—driving from Brooklyn to Las Vegas to Detroit—to prove that his career is built on a passion that doesn't stop at one station. BT also looks ahead to his burgeoning career in motivational speaking and the nearly sold-out live show in Red Bank, NJ on January 22nd with special guest Aaron Boone. Amidst heartfelt calls from longtime listeners, he even shares a laugh over his funniest radio moment involving the unfortunately named Rusty Kuntz, proving that while the business changes, the "Unkillable" spirit remains intact.

In a deeply personal and raw final hour, Brandon Tierney delivers his ultimate sign-off from the legendary WFAN. The segment kicks off with a surprise call from BT's biggest fan and toughest critic—his father—who takes listeners on a 25-year trip through BT's career: from packing up for Allentown to the drive-time battles in San Francisco, and finally, his "dream fulfilled" return to New York. BT reflects on the "unrelenting drive" that defined his run, acknowledging that while his time in the midday slot is ending due to station shifts (the return of Craig Carton), he leaves with his head high and his competitive fire unquenched. He shares his pride in sharing studios with titans like Stephen A. Smith, calling Knicks games at the Garden, and building the "Unkillable" brand with co-host Sal Licata. It's a tear-filled, high-energy goodbye to the city he loves, ending not with a whimper, but with a promise that the next chapter will be his biggest yet.

The hosts then pivot to the Jets' quarterback catastrophe, ripping coach Aaron Glenn for refusing to name a starter for Sunday, citing a "competitive advantage." They call the secrecy an "embarrassment" and a "clown show," noting that both Justin Fields and the injured Tyrod Taylor are non-threats, rendering the "competitive advantage" a joke. Hour 1 We start the NFL season with two 0-1 teams yet again. The Jets offense looked surprisingly good but the defense gave up 4 TDs to Aaron Rodgers. The Jets also had a fumble on a kickoff return that really hurt them. Justin Fields made a lot of good throws. What will Brian Daboll do at quarterback? Gio said he cannot put Jaxson Dart out there behind that line. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Xavier Gipson fumble that really hurt them and the 60 yard FG that won the game. Mike Tomlin called the kicker a ‘serial killer'. Aaron Glenn talked about the discipline issues they had. Brian Daboll talked about the tough loss in Washington. We heard Daniel Jones throwing a beautiful pass for a TD as they had no problem with Miami. Mike McDaniel talked about what went wrong. The Ravens blew a big lead in the fourth quarter and lost to the Bills. Green Bay had no problem beating the Lions. In the final segment of the hour, we took calls from Giants fans who are sick of the same old same old. Hour 2 We talked about the Giants quarterback situation and how they have to try hard not to screw up Jaxson Dart. It seems like the only chance Daboll has of keeping his job is starting Dart and him playing well. Callers are sick of the boring Giants offense. If the Giants don't win this week in Dallas, this has the makings of a 3-win season. They have the Chiefs and Chargers after that. A caller calls Andrew Thomas a ‘mutt' for not playing hurt. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Steelers beating the Jets with a 60 yard FG. Mike Tomlin described him as wanting to ‘bang from deep'. We heard the sounds of the Commanders having no problem with the Giants as they scored only 6 points. Malik Nabers talked about his spat with Daboll on the sideline. Russell Wilson was asked about the supposed package of plays for Jaxson Dart. Daniel Jones had a great day as the Colts beat the Dolphins. Buffalo scored 16 unanswered points to come back in the fourth quarter to beat the Ravens. Jerry went around the NFL. The Yankees took their series from the Blue Jays while the Mets lost theirs to the Reds. In the final segment of the hour, a fan shoved DeAndre Hopkins so Lamar Jackson shoved him back. Watch here: https://youtu.be/BbypHaRpOtAAbout the Guest: Victoria Hajjar is the founder of Ugli Ventures and a marketing strategist with deep experience building brands from the inside out. With a background that spans A&E, real estate development in China, and leading marketing departments for high-growth companies, Victoria has learned to build marketing engines that are scalable, measurable, and ready for acquisition. Her superpower? Turning messy marketing into a growth asset—fast.Summary: In this episode of How2Exit, host Ron Skelton sits down with Victoria Hajjar, founder and CEO of Ugli Ventures, for an energetic, no-fluff conversation about what it really takes to build a marketing machine that adds value in an M&A context. Instead of chasing vanity metrics or relying on branding for branding's sake, Hajjar breaks down the systems, scorecards, and human factors that make marketing a driver—not a passenger—of enterprise value. Whether you're a seller prepping for exit or a buyer looking to avoid post-acquisition marketing disasters, this is required listening. Victoria doesn't just theorize—she's been on the acquisition side and knows firsthand what it looks like to inherit a marketing mess… or a marketing moat.Key Takeaways:Marketing departments often feel the most vulnerable in acquisitions because buyers usually already have their own team. But dismissing the seller's marketing team too quickly risks losing the local expertise and systems that are driving current revenue.Buyers should pause before overhauling anything—Victoria recommends a 60-90 day observation window before making marketing changes post-acquisition.Most sellers don't have a documented, measurable marketing system, and this lack of structure reduces perceived business value.Brand value isn't just logos or followers—it's trust, relationships, and conversion rates. You need to prove that your audience responds to your messaging with measurable action.Having one “rainmaker” on the marketing team is risky. Buyers want marketing systems that are transferable and not tied to individual talent.Scorecards, SOPs, and a full-funnel strategy (not just top-of-funnel lead gen) are what differentiate valuable marketing machines from chaotic ones.AI can't replace human accountability. You can use AI tools for implementation and analysis, but you still need a human to own the marketing outcomes and make judgment calls.Hyper-personalization is the future of marketing. With AI, customers will expect messages tailored to their unique context. Businesses need to prepare for that now—or get left behind.--------------------------------------------------Contact Victoria onLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/victoria-hajjar/Website: http://www.ugliventures.com/--------------------------------------------------

Despite his numerous injuries, he maintained an unquenchable desire to go out and charge enemy lines head-on, usually armed with little more than a walking stick. Was he invincible? Kind of. George III narrowly dodged a bullet for the SECOND time in one day on 15th May, 1800, as he attended a performance at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.   The assassination attempt came from James Hadfield, a clinically insane former soldier, who rose from the pit and fired a pistol at the King, causing uproar in the audience. Despite the danger, George remained composed, even using his opera glasses to survey the disarray. In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly reveal how the leading playwright of the era swiftly calmed nerves with some poetic ingenuity; explain why George III remained popular in this era, despite the repeated attempts on his life; and marvel at how, amidst apparent danger everywhere, the Show really did Go On… Further Reading: ‘The Theatre Royal and The Case of Two Mad King Georges' (The National Archives, 2013): https://blog.nationalarchives.gov.uk/the-theatre-royal-and-the-case-of-two-mad-king-georges/ ‘James Hadfield: His Attempt on King George III's Life' (Geri Walton, 2021): https://www.geriwalton.com/james-hadfield-his-attempt-on-king-george-iiis-life/#_ftn1 ‘The Madness of King George' (Channel Four Films, 1994): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8lJ8XzX_GM Love the show?
