This is some serious girl power, indicates they have immense support outside of their own educational institutions and that cultural views are changing rapidly on this topic.Could this be a bellwether for sanity?“We demand that our right to safety and fair competition on the court be upheld. We refuse to participate in any match that advances injustice against female athletes” University of Nevada Women's VolleyballMomentum is building as individuals, cultural institutions and businesses rally around the idea that boys are boys and girls are girls. No one is born in the wrong body and men should NEVER be permitted to compete against women in athletic events where they are clearly at a distinct advantage. These should all be very basic, quite uncontroversial statements, yet here we are in the 21st Century where it seems like everyone has just lost their damn minds. Luckily - bottom up mobilization is CHANGING the culture. And that could CHANGE everything.Today we look at the wins.______________________________________Show Notes:Nevada Players Vote To Forfeit Against SJSU, Transgender Player Despite School's Statement | OutKick Exclusivehttps://www.outkick.com/sports/university-nevada-volleyball-forfeit-san-jose-state-transgender-blaire-flemingFair and Safe Eligibility Criteria for Women's Sporthttps://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1111/sms.14715Fallon Fox and Tamikka Brentshttps://www.lowkickmma.com/after-being-tkod-by-fallon-fox-tamikka-brents-says-transgender-fighters-in-mma-just-isnt-fair/Check out XX-XY Athletics ——>https://www.xx-xyathletics.com/pages/our-people______________________________________Please Support Our Sponsors:Start EVERY day the Chuck Norris Way with Morning Kick! In this profound and eye-opening, astonishing answer, the Maharishikaa reveals to Natasa her Fourth Wave of Feminism. She answers her questions about white supremacy, the patriarchy, feminism, transgenderism and the global shift of consciousness from the conceptual into the transformative. What is the role of the woman in supporting this shift Natasa asks? Maharishikaa unveils how the fourth wave of feminism with its tenets "Stoop to Conquer“ and more importantly "Surrender to the Truth Impulse“ will inspire the female to circumvent Ego and follow the Truth Impulse within herself, thus enabling her to deal with the fragile male and so ensuring that he can rise and strengthen to be the man he's cut out to be. #Maharishikaa #4thWaveFeminism #TruthImpulse Aaryaa Maharishikaa Preeti Maiyaa, is a revolutionary female mystic who fearlessly dares to demystify spirituality in her unrelenting call to realize Self, and act from Source. Today on the pod and in honor of Women's History Month, Andrea is going to do a wee lecture on Women's Identity, Rights and Issues from one of her classes! As you may remember, she is a professor who focuses on women in politics. Let's take a look back in US history on how the founding fathers worded who was a citizen, who decided women couldn't vote and why it's not a great idea to lock women and children into buildings. This is part 1 of 2, we hope you enjoy! Note: the stated episode number is incorrect as we had to rearrange to accommodate a guests schedule.

Listening to Maharishikaa speak to John on the role of men in partnership, Else asks Maharishikaa about the role of women. Gender roles are refreshingly redefined in this unusual Fourth Wave Feminism answer, that points out to the correlation between surrender to Source, the true nature of men, and stooping to conquer. #Maharishikaa #GenderRoles #Partnership Reference to conversation with John: https://youtu.be/d-bdSt2s_ww Aaryaa Maharishikaa Preeti Maiyaa, is a revolutionary female mystic who fearlessly dares to demystify spirituality in her unrelenting call to realize Self, and act from Source. Corinna and Nina answer your important questions, such as: what is a feminist? Should we be cheerful instead of angry? Who cuts our hair? Boxers or briefs? Is “cis” a slur? We also discuss the TERF-Tranny spectrum; our origins in a state fair livestock exhibit; the social benefits of taboos; Republicans' ability to eff up a sure thing; how social contagions are a force of nature; The Law of Conservation of Evil; iatrogenic infantilization; masculinized women; how 2nd-Wave Feminism is like broccoli; and Corinna's plans to start microdosing testosterone. It's truly a broad-ranging conversation, as we cover more territory than a costumed llama! Hello, Neighbor! This is Part 2 of the Car Conversation, while John Branyan travels with The Peaches down to southern Indiana for a show.Have you read Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis? That story provides a great analogy for how a High King needs to behave when it's time to take responsibility. Then--a Feminist author, Sheila Wray Gregoire, shared an old video clip from the original Candid Camera show. "Who says girls and women aren't visual creatures?!?!" (Answer: Um, nobody.) The young ladies are making eyes at their handsome new teacher, and it's all caught on film. But why do the Feminists think this is helping their case at all? Those girls are precisely the ones who need to be told not to dress provocatively just to get the teacher's attention. Later: These women clearly need to be disciplined (not whatever they have in mind when claiming "She Deserves Better"). But who's supposed to do the disciplining? Who has authority over them? The Peaches make the case that perhaps this is a MOTHERHOOD crisis and not a Fatherhood one. Perhaps it's the mature WOMEN who are supposed to tell these little girls-in-grown-bodies that they're embarassing us and giving womanhood a bad name. But...women are being taught to use "Gentle Parenting" techniques with their toddlers. So there's a lack of confidence in authoritative discipleship... Finally: What's going to happen in the next 20 years, when 5th-Wave Feminism has completely "liberated" women from all morality? When Modesty is a derogatory term, and it's hate speech to say women are sinners, too...then what will the big crusade be against? They probably will wage war against all references to Jesus Himself. 5th Wave Feminism: Lila Rose vs. Katy Perry
Following the rise of social media and digital platforms, digital activism has become a cornerstone of the most recent social movements, especially the fourth wave of feminism characterized by online movements such as Me too and Times Up. Organizing digitally has enabled these feminist movements to reach much wider audiences and led to large-scale participation the world over. This week's episode dives into what fourth wave feminism is and how digital media has contributed to its performance. In our first segment, Dr. Zeinab Farokhi provides an overview of fourth-wave feminism. Topics discussed include: Whether digital platforms have made the fourth-wave more inclusive than past feminist movements, whether the fourth wave has been reduced to performative messaging and branding by companies, the evolving role of men in feminist movements, concerns that digitization has also lended legitimacy to anti-feminist movements, and whether measuring success ought to depend upon legislative progress. In the second segment, we are joined by Professor Sara Liao from Penn State University for a conversation about the impacts and significance of fourth-wave feminism for China, including: The origins of the #MeToo movement in China, techniques used by the Chinese state to silence feminist activists online, the impacts of transnational networks, whether there has been meaningful progress in terms of legislative victories and public opinion, and much more. Guests: Dr. Zeinab Farokhi earned her PhD in Women and Gender Studies and Diaspora and Transnational Studies at the University of Toronto. She is currently a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at Concordia University (2022-24) and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Her dissertation, "Digital Islamophobia: A Comparison of Right-Wing Extremist Groups in Canada, the United States, and India," investigated and tracked the gendered, affective, and transnational digital strategies, rhetoric, and affinities of anti-Muslim extremist actors on Twitter via qualitative discourse analysis. Building on her dissertation, Dr. Farokhi's postdoctoral research will conduct a mix-methods comparison of Hindu nationalist and white supremacist discourses on Youtube in order to further assess the affective and affinitive alignments among extremist groups and their exploitation of audio-visual affordances. Dr. Farokhi's work emphasizes feminist approaches to extremism, digital media, and transnational and diaspora studies and highlights the urgent need to better understand how national and transnational extremist rhetoric manifests, spreads, and persuades across digital ecologies. Professor Sara Liao is a media scholar and feminist based out of Penn State University. Her research interests intersect digital labor, feminist studies, globalization, and East Asian popular culture. Her book Fashioning China (Pluto, 2020) investigates gendered digital labor in China's maker culture and fashion industry, highlighting how social media commerce has transformed creative industries, and produced new forms of creativity, identity, and precarity in work and life. She has published in renowned academic journals such as Journal of Communication, Signs: Journal of women in Culture and Society, Communication, Culture & Critique, and Convergence. She currently works on researching and writing about the tangled relationship between digital culture of misogyny and popular nationalism in China. The Apes have a philosophical talk and give their thoughts about 4th wave feminism and the manosphere red pill community.
It's the 3rd Wave Everything episode! We were challenged by listener Eric to compare 3rd Wave Ska to 3rd Wave Coffee. For good measure, we thought we'd also throw in 3rd Wave Feminism because why not? So get out your surfboards because in this super fun extra long episode there's going to be a lot of waves! In our first segment, Steph covers the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd waves of feminism and the beginning of the 4th wave. Women have been working hard on behalf of ourselves for a long time and Steph breaks it all down for us, from pre-Civil War through the fights for trans rights today. That's a lot of changes in feminism.Next, Jenni gives us the history of ska, starting with the 1st wave in Jamaica, moving on to the 2nd wave in the UK, and ending in California for the 3rd wave of ska. Ska goes up and ska comes back down. We're here to ride its musical waves.Last, Marcus covers the three waves of coffee. 1st wave is all about getting coffee in the cheapest way possible (see our Chock Full o'Nuts episode to learn more.) Then during the 2nd wave we see Starbucks and the rise of the coffee shop. Now in this 3rd wave that we are living in it is all about the storytelling of coffee. For our coffee tasting, we compare coffee brewed with Third Wave Water, a mineral additive for distilled water, to award winning Aurora tap water. Who will win? Bryce has abandoned me to the pit. I will rouse myself and hold fast to the LORD in this trial, he will help me to fly SOLO this week on the For The King podcast. We have been slowly walking through a biblical worldview when considering gender roles. This week I use Zach Garris' book as a resource to quote a few feminist from he 1st wave in the 1850's. They knew what the bible CLEARLY taught about biblical gender roles and by golly did they hate it. What would it look like for Latter-day Saint women to follow Eve's example in their own lives? Kajsa Berlin-Kaufusi shares empowering insights and ideas inspired by this phrase in a discussion of her essay, 4th Wave Feminism and ‘Being Like Mother Eve.'

DS9 premiered at the height of third wave feminism. In this episode, we’ll look at how Star Trek Deep Space Nine incorporated feminist thought of the ‘90s into its depictions of women and gender. Also, how that explains why Major Kira is always wearing a full face of makeup even when she’s roaming caves with a phaser rifle. And how the real villian isn't just the Dominion, it's Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Got questions? Recommendations? With WAP, Cuties, 3rd Wave Feminism, and Tic Toks, the pressure on women to sexualize ourselves in order to feel beautiful, loved, and accepted is enormous. It affects women of all ages. Popular Culture tells us that Beauty and Sex are the same. But, are they the same for the Christian? NO! In this 2 part mini-series, Nicole and Cat will dive into the differences between Beauty and Sexuality from a Biblical Standpoint. God created both beauty and sex, so let's discover how we should view and talk about them!
Sara and Jason discuss police and racism.
https://youtu.be/GGITtY7sL5Y The Spirit of Jezebel is greatly impacting our culture. In general, a “Jezebel Spirit” is a perversion of feminine wiles and energy used to seduce people into destructive behavior. One prominent aspect of Jezebel in our culture is the severe corruption of “Feminism”. True feminism is the idea that men and women are equally valuable physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. This type of feminism is righteous, just, and Biblical. However radical feminism, also known as “3rd Wave Feminism” goes beyond the call for equality by purporting that women are superior to men! It universally ascribes aberrant or “toxic” behavior (selfishness, irresponsibility, promiscuity, violence, rudeness, narcissism, etc.) to everyone of the male gender, while simultaneously telling women that in order to be “strong”, they should embody many of the same traits that they are told to despise in men! While this radical feminism has been harmful to men, it has been absolutely DEVASTATING to women because it demeans and destroys the true femininity that women aspire to. However, this isn't solely the fault of the 3rd Wave Feminists or even the educational and corporate institutions that sponsor them. Behind this movement are our spiritual enemies. While Satan clearly hates all humanity, he has a special hatred for women that goes all the way back to Eden. And he delights in finding ways to rob women of their true feminine beauty. We'll explore all these ideas in this week's episode Related links The Fall of Satan Biblical Jezebel Next Episode: The Dead Church of Sardis

Many thanks to all those who have already signed up as partners to The Payneful Truth! I'm hugely grateful for the encouragement and the support. For those who are planning to join, but haven't gotten around to it yet—you've got just a little bit longer to get yourselves organized. This is the second last edition that will be sent out free to everyone. From September 4 onwards, only partners will get The Payneful Truth every week (every third edition or so will go out free to the whole list.) To become a partner, just hit the button below, enter your email address and choose your option (monthly, annual or lifetime). For more about partnership, and what to do if you'd like to keep getting the weekly edition but can't afford to become a partner, see below in the PS. Shortest summary of feminism everI was preparing to speak with some ministry trainees a few weeks ago about men and women in ministry, 1 Timothy 2, and other simple subjects like that, when it occurred to me that we couldn't really discuss these questions without dealing with … Well, I was going to say ‘the elephant in the room', but it's more like the wallpaper, the carpet, the table, the chairs and the air conditioning in the room. It's a set of settled and pervasive ideas that form the environment in which any discussion of men and women takes place these days—without us being really conscious of their existence. I speak, of course, of feminism.Feminism is hard to identify and even harder to critique. It's hard to identify not only because we barely even notice it any more (such is its social pervasiveness), but because everybody has their own version of feminism that are in favour of (at least in some way)—usually while having very little idea of what feminism has actually taught and done over the past 50+ years. The variety of feminisms makes it a hard movement to understand and critique, but so does its status as one of the moral orthodoxies of our time. To resist genuflecting to feminism, or at least nodding appreciatively in its general direction, is to risk nutcase or pariah status in our culture. It's like criticising air, or Jacinta Ardern. So to help my trainees think about men and women, 1 Timothy 2 and complementarianism, I figured I had to make the core assumptions of feminism visible, and to show how they related to the Bible's view of men and women. Hence this shortest summary of feminism ever.Lets start with the biblical worldview:* Men and women are equally created in the image of God, and yet are not uniform. The created differences between men and women are a reality and are good. * Complementary, ordered relationships between men and women (e.g. in marriage and in church life) are also a good created reality.* Sin and the fall make the conduct of these ordered relationships difficult, but men and women experience a satisfying, productive unity in their difference, as they pursue God's purposes together in the world.2nd Wave Feminism (the bra-burning, women's lib feminism of Betty Friedan and Germaine Greer, dominant from the 60s to the 80s):* There is no material difference between men and women; we are all just people. Every woman can and should be able to do anything a man does; sex difference should be radically de-emphasized. * There is therefore no ordered relationship between men and women. Any attempt at ordered relationship is repressive, because it denies the total equality of persons (i.e. equality = sameness). * The goal is not unity (which implies difference) but uniformity—the dissolving of difference so that all individuals can pursue personal freedom and self-actualisation in the same way (a way, ironically defined in terms of the various things men do and achieve). 3rd/4th Wave feminism (a variegated set of movements from the 90s to now, partly a reaction against the failure of 2nd wave feminism to deliver the nirvana of equality it promised; encompassing various kinds of ‘difference feminism', and the intersectional/identity politics feminism of the current moment; mostly dismissive or openly hostile towards 2nd wave feminists):* A renewed emphasis on the uniqueness or difference of women, whether in the feisty ‘grrrl power' feminism of the 90s or the more recent emphasis on women as an oppressed identity group (a class identity you can choose to identify as, regardless of biological gender). In this view, men are different, but not in a good way. Masculinity is toxic, and leads only to violence, rape and the oppression of women.* There is an ordered relationship between men and women—it is a power relation of oppression and violence in which men are the perpetrators and women the victims.* There can be no unity between men and women—only a social and political struggle in which the power and dominance of men is finally overthrown. What all feminisms have in common:* They reject any concept of good created difference between men and women (there is either no difference, or the difference is oppression);* There is a corresponding rejection of the possibility of complementary ordered relations between men and women that are liberating and good (any ordered relation either denies equality or is oppression); * They foster an ongoing disunity between men and women—either because men chauvinistically resist the call to dissolve all distinctions, or because men are an oppressive power group that need to be cast down. Feminism as it actually operates today rarely presents us with such a simple presentation of its ideas. In fact, the competing claims of 2nd and 3rd/4th wave feminism often result in confusing and contradictory cultural messages—for example, on the one hand that women are smart, strong, capable and powerful, and don't need any man to explain to them, to protect them or provide for them (2nd wave assumptions); and on the other hand, that women are oppressed victims of the sexualised violence of men, constantly suffering micro-aggressions of language and attitude, and needing safe spaces to survive (4th wave identity politics feminism).Even so, if my summary is even broadly correct, we need to break our polite silence about feminism. Like all rebellions against God and his good created order, feminism is a terrible idea, and leads to bad consequences. It denies reality, and the result has been calamitous (ironically) not only for women themselves, but for men, for marriages, for children, for our broader culture, and for our churches. We need to understand feminism more clearly, and be unafraid to teach against its errors. Hence my attempt at a nutshell. Can you help me improve it? PSThe simplest way to help me improve this summary is either to leave a comment on the website (if you're reading this online), or to just hit ‘Reply' if you're reading this as an email. Either way, it would be great to hear from you. Some more details about becoming a partner in The Payneful Truth (if you missed the spiel last week): it's a pretty simple deal—for my part, I'll keep writing The Payneful Truth and delivering it to you each week; plus I'll send out some bonus Payneful Extra material around once a month, and also give you the inside track on books and resources that I publish. For your part, you chip in a small amount to support me in doing all that (and the other writing I do)—and as a bonus, if you could pray for me from time to time that would be wonderful as well! You can contribute in three modes, depending on what's convenient for you:* A Monthly Partner: $7 a month* An Annual Partner: $70 a year* A Lifetime Partner: $700 to keep getting all this stuff in perpetuity, until I keel over or Jesus returns. To become a partner, just hit this button, enter your email address, and follow the options from there. If you'd really like to keep getting The Payneful Truth every week but aren't in a position to become a partner (for whatever reason), no sweat. I'd love to have you on board. Just send an email to tonyjpayne@me.com with this message—“Please put me on the free weekly list”—and I'll take care of the rest. This is a public episode. Do you remember Chapter 4 of 3 Books with Sarah Ramsey? She introduced me to BUST Magazine, the largest feminist magazine in the world, and waxed on about how BUST had incredible book recommendations… Well, they sure have a lot more than that. I picked up a copy of BUST and was blown away by the urgency, voice, and community. I also wasn’t surprised to see The New York Times and Fast Company both profile BUST over the past few months. So I trucked down to Brooklyn to see if we could learn what’s behind the curtain. I’m so delighted to introduce you to my next guest on 3 Books — founder of BUST, Master’s and PhD graduate of Yale University with thesis in the psychology of women, and rampant feminist since age six … The one and only Debbie Stoller. In addition to her three most formative books, Debbie shares her inspiration behind BUST and how pop culture influences societal views and laws. Debbie has taken the powerful influence culture has on society by turning cultural narratives on their heads, striving to make BUST into a magazine that reads like the world that would exist ‘if women won.’ Debbie sits down with me in the middle of her office in the ‘warehouse district’ in Brooklyn, NY where I ask basic questions like: What is feminism? Who got us to where we are today? And what are the major gaps between men and women in the world right now? I feel like I sound like an ignorant fool a lot in this chapter but I hope you enjoy and learn as much as I did. Huge thank you to Debbie for this opportunity. And now let’s get into Chapter 20. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: How does culture reflect male and female desire differently—and what has been left out? What’s the difference between first-wave, second-wave, and third-wave feminism? How has pop culture amplified and influenced gender roles and stereotypes? How has the definition of feminism changed and shifted over the years? What would media look like if sexism didn’t exist?
