The entire We Are Libertarians Podcast Network for the first time, in-person, to record at the Boss Hog Of Liberty Studios in a fun conversation before heading to our annual pool party. After years of friendship online, everyone talks about their individual podcasts and how they got involved with the network. If you are new to us, this is a great starting point!
How can we empower people and liberate communities? Personal growth through engaging in service to others will rebuild the fabric of American society, and podcasting is the home base from which libertarians can build power networks. Chris Spangle speaks to the Podcast on the Plaza podcast about the power of libertarianism to unite people and the opportunity podcasting brings to individuals seeking to build a community and personal network. I love podcasting as much as I love politics, and I am starting a new show to walk you through my podcasting method. Listen to the first episode then subscribe here – link.chtbl.com/podcasting-and-platforms! Where do I begin? This is often the first question asked by a new podcaster (and old ones looking to start a new brand). This question usually paralyzes someone looking to start a show. They'll look at other shows, see 4 years of growth and think, “I have no idea how to replicate it.” Or, “Who would listen to me? I am not an expert.” This resistance is completely normal, but it isn't an excuse for procrastinating. In this episode, I talk about the 5 or 6 years of talking myself out of starting this show because I want you to know that is a common reason people never begin. It is the first hurdle to building a great show. Sign up for the email newsletter at PodcastingandPlatforms.com. Chris Spangle and Rhinehold sit down with longtime Libertarian Party leaders Joe Hauptmann, Steve Dasbach, and Mark Rutherford to discuss the cycles of infighting from the Dallas Accords to the present. Things seem bad in the party. Is this new? Or are the current players just new faces in the same play? We look to history to learn more. We also discuss the purpose of the Libertarian Party and our guests give a defense for its existence.
Chris Spangle, Rhinehold, and Caleb Franz discuss history's importance and his new show Profiles in Liberty. You'll also meet Chris's fiancé Reagan! The WAL Network has many great shows, and today we are featuring The Brian Nichols Show as he covers the track record of government lockdowns. Subscribe to his show here. Find all of our shows at wearelibertarians.com. The data, facts, and realities of COVID were far away from what the media and public health institutions were presenting to the world at the advent of the pandemic. And while the controlling narrative was that of lockdowns and fear in response to COVID, organizations like PANDA have been working with some of the top minds in public health, focusing on the hard data and analytics of the pandemic to help save lives. Returning to the program is Nick Hudson, co-founder of PANDA, who just gave an amazing talk at the inaugural BizNews Investment Conference where he crushed the common myths and misconceptions promoted by pro-lockdown, anti-science politicians, and unelected bureaucrats. What do epidemiologists and immunologists think of Dr. Fauci? What's the story about the COVID variants? Are asymptomatic people a danger to others? Was Trump's Impeachment justified? While Donald's memory of the presidency moves further and further into the rearview mirror, there's a lot of debate over this topic and how it will effect election processes moving forward. The last time Chris Spangle was on the show, we said that we hoped we'd never have to talk about this again.... but here we are. I just felt like there was a lot of ground and angles we didn't cover, so to make sure we covered all ground possible in the most enjoyable way, our other good friend of the show and member of Chris Spangle's network, We Are Libertarians, Remso W. Martinez joins the conversation, this time for a DEBATE! I know some people get annoyed by debates. This might not be the show for those people because there's little I love more than listening to a battle of the minds between two people who's opinions I respect. So that's what we're doing today. Chris Spangle with the pro-impeachment stance and Remso Martinez with anti. Who will win? You decide. All that and more on today's episode of The System is Down episode 224: DEBATE! Originally aired on The Brian Nichols Show. The ideas of personal liberty and free markets will always win in the battlefield of ideas, but that is irrelevant if people aren’t willing to hear our solutions in the first place. Today, I'm chatting with the great, Chris Spangle on how he has managed to navigate the censorship world with his (often "controversial") podcast network, We Are Libertarians, for nearly a decade. This is not just a message for podcasters tho. This is a call to everyone, to actively seek independence and stop letting your voice be reliant on the approval of big tech empires that hate you. Chris Spangle http://chrisspangle.com http://wearelibertarians.com http://leadersandlegends.net In the bonus episode, Chris makes the strongest case I've heard, for why Trump's impeachment is valid. Chelsea Haring-Cozzi, Executive Director of Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention joins us to discuss the complexity of helping those who experience homelessness. Chris Spangle asks her about encampments on the circle, who falls into homelessness, and what organizations network together to solve the issue. “CHIP” is the homeless coalition for the City of Indianapolis. CHIP collaborates with and supports dozens of local shelters and service providers in the City to create a community response that makes homelessness rare, short-lived, and recoverable. CHIP’s support comes in a variety of ways: · Securing funding for housing and services · Conducting important research that is used by all local homeless service providers who want to make sure their programs and housing solutions are fitting the needs in the community. · Advocating for policy change at the local, state and national levels for policies that support solutions to homelessness · Providing a variety of programs and training opportunities to improve the quality and effectiveness of the homeless system of care. For example, the Street Reach program provides financial assistance to people who are experiencing homelessness by helping them overcome barriers to permanent housing like paying a security deposit to rent an apartment or paying a utility bill. Since 2017, more than 700 individuals have either moved into permanent housing or made significant steps toward doing so with the help of Street Reach. Visit their website at www.CHIPIndy.org.
