He explains how the modern pursuit of instant gratification undermines long-term financial stability by shifting our focus from building wealth through ownership to sustaining a cycle of perpetual renting. Ross argues that relying on rentals—not only for homes but increasingly for everyday items—erodes financial independence and accelerates government dependency, ultimately jeopardizing economic freedom for future generations. ➡️ Show Linkshttps://successstorypodcast.com  YouTube: https://youtu.be/3bDiVZ7RFtUApple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/wilbur-ross-former-united-states-secretary-of/id1484783544Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6irqyVRoffPWDLZ6vgr29u ➡️ Watch the Podcast On Youtubehttps://www.youtube.com/c/scottdclary

Unraveling The Words of Yahweh

Unraveling The Words of Yahweh

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 26, 2024 71:14

In this week's study, I continue in Chapter 22 verses 6 to 11. Before I get into the study, I talk about Donald Trump selects Howard Lutnick as Commerce Secretary. Remember I talked about the ceremony gathering they had together back in October. Lutnick happens to be the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald. I also talk about Wilbur Ross. In this final chapter, beginning with verse 6 brings us to the conclusion of this fantastic vision of the New Heaven and New Earth. 6     John's vision had finished; or it had almost finished. However, John continued still to be very aware that Yahweh was speaking to him. Also, the angel remained with John. In these final verses in the Book of Revelation, it is sometimes hard to know who is speaking. John does not always tell us, and the speaker changes quickly. However, Revelation 22:6-7 seem to be the words of The Messiah. And he said unto me, = is this the angel of 1:1, reassuring John as to the truth of what he had been "sent" to show and to tell him? Many great scholars believe that this could be Yahshua Messiah. As these visions are now at an end, the messenger comes to John directly and assures him that all these things are true These sayings are faithful and true = These communications - all that has been disclosed to you by symbols, or in direct language. And the Lord Yahweh of the holy prophets = The same Yahweh who inspired the ancient prophets. To show unto his servants = To all his servants - that is, to all his people, by the instrumentality of John.  The things which must shortly be done = The beginning of which must soon occur - though the series of events extended into distant ages, and even into eternity. 7  blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book. = Again the blessing of 1:3 is repeated, showing the importance of the study of this book. And it is "this book"; not merely certain parts of it, but the book as a whole. 8    And I John saw these things, and heard them = That is, I saw the parts that were disclosed by pictures, visions, and symbols; I heard the parts that were communicated by direct revelation. And when I heard and saw them I feel down to worship before the feet of the angel who was showing me these things. = Again John was about to make the same mistake. The double correction shows how firm is the decree that Yahweh alone is to receive worship; and that it may not be rendered to any created being. 11   unjust = ‘ad-ee-keh'-o'unrighteous. let . . . unjust = let him act unrighteously. The verb means to do wickedly. Therefore we can say, let him do unrighteousness. filthy = ‘rhoo-po'-o' morally defiled. Greek. rhupoo.Let him be filthy = (rhoo-po'-o how-too) let him be made filthy. He that is righteous. = dik'-ah-yos ; equitable (in character or act); by implication innocent, holybe righteous. = dik-ah-yo'-o; to render (that is, show or regard as) just or innocent: The texts read "do (or work) righteousness" or let him do righteousness. He that is holy = hag'-ee-os; sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated): - (most) holy (one, thing), saint. be holy. = hag-ee-ad'-zo; to make holy, that is, (ceremonially) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate: - hallow, be holy, sanctify.  Have any questions? As Donald Trump's 79 year-old Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross was the oldest first-time Cabinet appointee in American history. Ross' mom, however - Agnes, a lifelong New Jersey schoolteacher and proud Democrat - probably wouldn't have been proud of her boy. As he acknowledges in his new memoir, Risks and Returns, Agnes always wanted her son to attend law school and was far from thrilled when Wilbur, then known on Wall Street as the “King of Bankruptcy,” became associated with Trump over one of his notorious bankruptcies. But as Wilbur confessed to me, he's still thinking, at the grand old age of 86, of making Agnes proud by going back to law school. Although, of course, that plan might be waylaid if Trump is, indeed, elected in November and invites the Wall Street financier back into his administration. Before being named President Trump's secretary of commerce in 2017, Wilbur Ross had already earned a reputation as the “King of Bankruptcy” over his 55-year career on Wall Street. TRUMP'S STUNNING UNFORCED ERROR ON ABORTION - 4.9.24

SERIES 2 EPISODE 154: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: You can never say a cockroach can't survive something, and after all he IS Donald J. Cockroach. But he has now made a spectacular, amazing unforced error with this video in which he pretends to say that abortion bans should be (and would be) left to the states. He never says that, but the evangelicals who are the spine of his fanatical base don't know that. And for once the idiocy of the stenographic news media will work to hurt Trump because they repeated without examination the impression he successfully left that he was backing away from any federal abortion ban. All that will do is piss off those evangelicals, so enraged that even Lindsey Graham felt compelled to repudiate what Trump said. It's obviously not going to convince any liberals and when the reality is made clear that he never said a damn thing about vetoing a federal abortion ban sent to him by a Republican house and senate, it wouldn't help him with that handful in the middle. More important perhaps is what made Trump speak on the subject NOW, with the election still 211 days away. Unless he had some sudden compulsion to repudiate his life lived inside the fine print of scam contracts and confidence tricks, there is only one conclusion: the internal polling done on Trump's behalf shows he is getting DESTROYED on abortion in general, and an abortion ban specifically, and he had to run the risk of damaging religious nut job and handmaiden support in what is already - even now - a desperate last-minute attempt to put some space between him and how ever bad the damage the abortion issue is doing to him. B-Block (25:27) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: It's the thought that counts, I guess: a news organization reports "eclipse glasses" being recalled 90 minutes before the eclipse. Fox's Harris Faulkner sounds perpetually confused; now it extends to believing that Steve Wynn, Woody Johnson and Wilbur Ross "are black." And Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says he wants to avoid stoking "division" by repeating his endorsement of Joe Biden in 2020. You know what kind of division he's afraid of, right? The division between him and those millions standing up for his country and democracy would create - the bonehead. C-Block (33:40) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: it's another trip down memory lane; just a cassette tape from February 1977 that I found over the weekend. It contained and a sportscast I did on a radio station in Binghamton, New York I did in the middle of the night a mere 47 years ago. And oh by the way it also contained a reminder of the day 20 years later I saw a ghost and I knew who the ghost was and the ghost laughed at me and I've never told a damn soul about the ghost until now.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What Phase One? When the Phase One trade deal was first announced, it was October 11, I think was the date. And before that date, nobody ever heard, "Phase One". It was always, "trade deal, trade deal".  There was never any talk of Phase One.  Then all of a sudden Trump comes out and says, "We've completed Phase One! The Phase One deal is done. We have concluded negotiations, we have come to a deal. We have this great Phase One deal; it's already done. It's in the bag. We've agreed to it in principle, all we need is the formalities of putting it on paper. We're going to have a big signing ceremony, and it's all going to be done." Oh, and by the way, Trump said, "This is the greatest deal ever for American farmers. They have never had a deal this great; go out and buy some more tractors; I don't even know if we can fill this order, it's so big - it's the biggest order in the history of agriculture!"  It's a good thing farmers didn't go out and buy new equipment based on Trump's phony promises. Sending the Dow Up - Buy the Rumor! But in any event Marc Faber asked Wilbur Ross, "Do you regret this?" Do you think Trump should not have come out and said this?" And he said, "No, we don't regret it."  Of course, why should he regret it? The Dow rose by 1600 points following that comment! That comment sparked all sorts of more comments; the deal is imminent any day, any week or they're going to sign it here... "Buy the rumor, buy the rumor, buy the rumor!" And they pushed the market.  The Dow went through 28,000 on all that B.S. So why should Wilbur Ross regret that, when the comments worked? Bidding the Spoos Higher I said a long, time ago: "Trump is not talking to the Chinese. He's not negotiating, because if he was, he's the worst negotiator ever. He ought to read, "The Art of the Deal". What he is saying makes no sense, if you're trying to negotiate. The only way Trump's statements make any sense is if they're really designed to boost the stock market. He's not talking to the Chinese; he's talking to the algo's. He's talking to the traders. He's trying to bid the spoos higher.
