Former world boxing champion Dingaan Thobela was found dead in Johannesburg on Monday aged 57 after suffering ill health, a family member told AFP. Known as the 'Rose of Soweto', he boxed professionally for 16 years from 1990 and claimed three world titles in two weight divisions.Thobela won the World Boxing Organization lightweight title in 1990, the World Boxing Association lightweight crown three years later and the World Boxing Council super-middleweight title in 2000. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The agenda they laid out many years go was branded as satire, yet we see this agenda being fulfilled in numerous ways across America today.--For example, during this past month of June, our government got involved via every branch of the military as they celebrated pride month. The public education system continues to push this agenda. Entertainers are not only including this agenda in their performances but also through their social media channels. Sadly, this agenda is also being adopted by churches. --The Bible isn't silent on this issue. In Genesis 18-20, God described the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah as very grievous and by the way, that was not the sin of not being hospitable enough. How long will we continue in this direction while avoiding the warnings of God, such as we read about not only in Genesis but other areas such as Luke 17 -beginning in verse 26----Returning to Crosstalk for an update on the LGBTQ- movement, Jim welcomed Peter LaBarbera. Mexican boxer Andy Ruiz may have the opportunity to dispute the heavyweight title of the World Boxing Council, says its President Mauricio Sulaiman.Ruiz lost his IBF, WBA and WBO belts on Saturday in the rematch against Englishman Anthony Joshua.Mauricio said that despite the defeat, Ruiz will occupy a high position in the rankings of the WBC. And for this reason he would be a viable option to fight for the title currently held by American Deontay Wilder.“Andy is going to be well rated and not only because of the big surprise he gave in June. The World Boxing Council finally got something right for a change, says Boxcaster Radio's Jason Abelson, by setting up Danny Garcia versus Shawn Porter for the interim welterweight title. 

Jill Morley  just  finished the feature documentary, “Fight Like A Girl,” about women using boxing to fight their demons and empower themselves.  It played at several festivals, winning “Best Documentary” at the Other Venice Film Festival, and was presented with an award from the World Boxing Council for inspiration, education and courage.   “Fight Like a Girl”  is still in the process of finding distribution. Jill’s critically acclaimed documentary film, “Stripped” won awards at festivals, ran theatrically in New York and LA, internationally and ran on the Sundance Channel. Other shorts she directed and shot played festivals such as AFI, and the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
