In this episode I brought back Prince Rose, as is a resident Final Fantasy expert, who I felt would be able to tackle the subject of the Whispers found in Remake and Rebirth. As the Whispers of the planet represent the Status Quo, to make sure both the good and bad repeat itself. Very much like Transgenerational Trauma, something I think we are all too familiar with. However, to fight generational trauma means to change our outcomes, means to "change ourselves" like Aerith said. Hope you all enjoy this conversation.EPISODE CREDITS: Intro and Outro music produced by Namai 畝ド果 Namai 畝ド果 Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/namaibeats Namai 畝ド果 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNtb0gbf6MdjeQJuNgsDlMg

Both Jordan and I took some time for ourselves, it's been a hectic year for both of us, especially me. By May we should be back to regular uploads. In this episode we had a guest by the name of Prince Rose, where he cover the life lessons fonud in Demon Slayer, and attempt to end the debate on whether Demon Slayer is a good anime or not. More specifically why is it so good, as we hone in on one of the central themes in the series; Hurt people, hurt people. Hope you guys enjoy!
Vinland Saga's Askeladd is regarded the most loved and controversial character in the series. As much as he is regarded is a prolific leader in the series, even after he died. In this conversation with Jordan, I point out similarities between Askeladd and Hero Academia's All Might, in that they are poor leaders. Even more so, we discuss Deku's, from Hero Academia, how he is a much better leader than either Askeladd or All Might. We discuss how Deku's style of leadership is necessary to lead in a family, and for a community as opposed to All Might and Askeladd.
I have been dealing with a family crisis for the last month and a half, that's the reason I've been away from the last month, which I will explain more in the next episode. Lookism is an Korean manwa centered the actual topic of lookism; judging someone based off their appearance. Jordan and I share our experiences growing up in African and Caribbean households. Relate on how we connect with the main character of Lookism, Park Hyung-Seok, and his journey towards building his self-esteem, and manhood, now that he finally has the body and looks he always wanted. Hope you enjoy this episode. In this episode I speak about the journey Deb and I have gone through as a newly married couple, and compare it to Loid's Forger family. The struggles of what it means to start your own family, as well as the struggles that both men and women go through when starting their own family, from an African and Caribbean lens, with my cohost Jordan.
"Morality doesn't exist in scarcity" the story of Edgerunner's David Martinez and Mob, from Mob Psycho 100, both share a journey of their lives being defined by an single aspect of who they are. However unlike, Mob who continued to redefine himself beyond his psychic powers. David's circumstances forced him to solely relied upon his psychological resistance to cybernetics to make a name for himself in Night City. David would soon quickly learn, after confronting Adam Smasher, and succumbing to Cyberpsychosis, that he isn't "special" as he thought he was, something that we all come to realize at some point in our lives; there will always be someone better than you. Jordan and I talk about what it means to not be as "special" as you think you are, and how we redefined ourselves over the courses of our own lives.
Jordan and I explore the idea of change, found in Mob Psycho 100, and how we we relate to Mob's journey of self-development. We share our stories on how we both have changed over the years, how we react to changes in others. Also, similar to Mob's relationship with Reigen, how people in our lives, react to how we have changed and grown over the years. As well as what does change and growth even look like for people, and how much of who we are can even change. All this and much more.... Sorry for the long wait, but this was an episode I was excited to record. Rock Lee and Deku ae two of some of my most favorite anime characters. Their similar journeys they went through, despite being born with their in-world deficits, mirrored my own challenges growing up with a Learning Disability. Along with their respective relationships with their Sensei's, All Might and Might Gai, mirror very much the relationship with my dad. In this episode we discuss how my journey mirrored Rock Lee and Deku's, and how they influenced how diligent I've become in accomplishing my tasks. As well as the resilience to overcome the inevitable adversities and losses you face in life. Hope you all enjoy! In my first coverage talking about Attack on Titan, I bring my wife into the conversation @deekaaybright who recently started watching anime with me. Together, we discuss, with my cohost Jordan, the emotional fallout and implications between Gabi, Sasha, Nicolo, and Kaya. Exploring the idea of forgiveness through religion. And apply it's principles in real life situations, through Nicolo's love for Sasha, that sent him momentarily down a dark path to avenge the Eldian woman he loved. The recently concluded trial of Amber Heard v Johnny Depp, hit close to my heart as I am a man who has been in a former victim of IPV (Intimate Partner Violence), and someone who was falsely accused intention. I felt it was important tie tie trial to the story of Naofumi Iwatani, the MC of Rising of the Shield Hero, as he was also intentionally falsely accused by the main antagonist of the series Malty S Melromarc. Hyushi-sama, Jordan, and myself recount or experiences of either being taken advantage of or abuse, and tie these experiences to those of Johnny Depp, and Naofumi. As we feel there needs to be greater awareness to men who have either been falsely mistreated during the heights of the #MeToo movement, and men who have been victims of abuse in heteronormative relationships. This was my most important episode thus far, as I delve into many of my experiences with women, including family members, over the course of my life. In addition, my own observations about men and society, and how we see women in society. I Hope you all enjoy this episode. In this episode we discuss the anime Platinum End, more so the first half of the series covering Mirai and Mukaido's battle against Metropoliman (Uryu Kanade). We focus specifically on Mirai's constant pursuit of happiness, that his family encouraged him to take on, and how that gradually shifted over the length of the series. Especially once he came into conflict with Metropoliman/Uryu's willingness the put others in jeopardy for the sake of his goals to become God. We tie the conversation to our needs as men to find what is important to us in life, how we define happiness, as well as how we derive happiness from the things we do in life, and our struggles with depression in this episode. Hopefully you enjoy the conversation as much as we did. In this episode we cover the journey of Giorno Giovanna he, and Team Bucciarati go through in their adventures throughout Italy in Part 5 Golden Wind. We relate his story, and his journey, on how many young men now could use his story to help inspire them to find their direction and purpose in life. Not only that, but how to be resilient and develop perseverance in the face of constant adversity.
In this episode I have guests, and very close friends, discuss the implications in seeking out external validation. In the case of the Devil May Cry franchise, that would be Vergil's lust for power, and constantly needing to prove he is stronger than Dante. Which isn't that different from people's needs for more likes/clicks on social media, the need for more money, and gaining social status. I talk about my own story on my need for validation, and needing to prove myself to others, and how I relate to Vergil' struggles to prove himself.
We've all had shows that had a profound impact on us, especially in this space of nerd culture. Be it a video game franchise, a phenomenal comic book run, or an amazing comic book movie.... This week my guest Jordan and I talk about our shared experience on the Code Geass franchise and how it had a profound impact on how we saw the world around us, and the realm of politics. Code Geass is often sited as a show steeped in betrayal, something both Jordan and I have experienced in our lives, and how we overcame it, that made us connect with Lelouch. We also get into various debates regarding characters motivations in the show, as well how Code Geass way of tackling current world issues is still relevant. Hope you enjoy this, fellow nerds!
In this episode I have a resident expert on the Star Wars Lore and Mythos, sit down with me as we discuss the latest game entry into the Star Wars universe; Star Wars Fallen Order. While I am not a huge Star Wars fan, I greatly enjoyed the game and the personal story it told of Cal Kestis, the main character of the game, and him living to through Order 66. More so, Cal facing his inner demons and pains of carrying the burden of watching his master and mentor figure die in front of him. We often blame ourselves for things out of our control, especially when we are young and impressionable, Cal's story is very much that. We also go into how these very same traumas are also seen in the story of Darth Vader.
Hey, I would like to say this is the last time my audio will be sounding like this and moving forward it will be better as I have better recording equipment now. We talk about gaming skills like; resource management, micro managing, and executive decision making skills, among others. Hope you enjoy the episode.
A short review and analysis of the Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Film. I have two guests who have watched the movie as well. New audio quality improvement, Hope you guys enjoy it.

In this episode I have a guest by the name of "Jin" whom discusses the meaning of unconditional love, which we always hear about in society, but from the anime series Naruto. To be specific, the relationship between Sasuke Uchiha and his dotting older brother Itachi Uchiha, the prodigy Sharingan user. We go on to discuss how unconditional love is show between other characters in the Naruto series, as well as other popular anime series.
Hyushi and I discuss how the mangaka's, Koyoharu Gotōge, use of misdirection in his storytelling for the entirety of the Natagumo Mountain Arc in Demon Slayer. This conversation took place right after episode 19, which was so crazy, it was trending on Twitter.
In this episode we dive into the mind of Hyushi, and his love for Shikamaru, and how his character growth throughout the Naruto series has helped him grow into the man he is today. We discuss mindfulness, meditation, and just taking a moment in the day to collect your thoughts to reassess situations in life.
As long a time fighting game player since I was in high school, I've learned a lot about myself through my wins and my losses. In this session I discuss these experiences of self discovery with others, and we explore why fighting games struggle in terms of popularity compared to other genres. In this session I am accompanied by v115, one of the top Smash Bros Ultimate players in Ontario, and Initial T/Tiipots a top Canadian Guilty Gear player who placed top 5 at Canada Cup with a Steering Wheel.
After playing through Spiderman PS4, and being so drawn into the mythos and story of Spiderman for the first time in my life. I have a sitdown with Winglessboywonder about the life lessons we took away from Peter about being leaders in our communities.
Hyushi and I discuss the themes of Demon Slayer, compassion and empathy towards others and how the different character interactions throughout the show relate to our lives.
If you watch anime, the relationship Naruto and Sasuke share was the center of Shippuden, and how Naruto constantly forgave him. I often find myself making similar decisions to forgive and help people that hurt me, but are Naruto's ideals an unhealthy standard?
In this first episode, of my podcast I talk about how my decision to enter a relationship was impacted by Steve's decision to go back in time to live a normal life with Peggy, forever giving up the mantle of Captain America. Which was a pivotal moment for me, choosing your own happiness before everyone else's for once.
