At the beginning of his Cincinnati Bengals career, linebacker Logan Wilson was connected with the new Bengals defensive coordinator, Al Golden. Golden, the Bengals' linebackers coach at the time, scouted and worked out Wilson before the 2020 NFL Draft when the Bengals selected the Wyoming product in the third round with the 65th pick. After two starting assignments as a rookie, Wilson was named the starting middle linebacker heading into his second season. He played a significant role in the team's playoff wins, becoming AFC Champions and earning a spot in the Super Bowl. With Golden leaving after the Super Bowl for the defensive coordinator position at the University of Notre Dame, Wilson had to adapt to a new linebackers coach. Now, the coach who played a major role in his joining the Bengals has Wilson ecstatic about his return as defensive coordinator. In this episode of In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, Logan Wilson talks about his excitement about Al Golden's return, the latest on how his rehab is going, and new linebackers coach Mike Hodges.

The last week of the NFL Regular Season is here and the Tennessee Titans head down to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars with big stakes on the line. This is a big game as it will decide which of these teams will be the AFC Champions and be getting to host a Wildcard Playoff Game. The Titans situation however is very interesting. If they win this game, they make the playoffs. If they lose this game, then they more than likely get a top 10 pick in this years draft. Could this be a win/win situation for the Titans? In this episode, Michael Bishop (aka The Power Hour), joins the show as we discuss just that thought. Let us know what you think. Week 12 of the NFL season is upon us, and the Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) are back in the AFC hunt, looking to take another step toward reaching their 2022 season goals. Coming off a big win over the Pittsburgh Steelers a week ago, the Tennessee Titans (7-3) are looking to answer for last year's playoff loss to the Bengals by keeping Joe Burrow and company from coming to Nashville and taking back another big win. The Bengals know they'll be without running back Joe Mixon in this game and will look towards last week's star, Samaje Perine, Trayveon Williams, and Chris Evans, to carry the load. Questions remain despite talk early in the week that Ja'Marr Chase could return to the field in this game. Burrow and the offense showed they're not a one-man offense against the Steelers and will need to see a repeat performance against the Titans. However, the heavy load might have to be carried by Lou Anarumo and his defensive unit as they look to stop the power running of Derrick Henry, the leading rusher in the National Football League, coming into the weekend. A Bengals win, and they'll be standing with the same record they had a year ago when they made their run to become AFC Champions and reach the Super Bowl. A loss, and you're staring at the Kansas City Chiefs coming to Paycor Stadium with one of the best overall records in the NFL this season. First Star Logistics presented In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, Keys To Bengals Victory.
The Steelers take on the Bengals this Sunday at Acrisure Stadium. It's a game between two AFC North foes, one that defending AFC Champions. The other, the struggling Steelers. Cincinnati Bengals secondary/safeties coach Robert Livingston returns to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss how training camp has gone so far with several new members roaming the Bengals defensive secondary and one substantial missing piece as Jessie Bates III has yet to report. Livingston knows if the Bengals want a chance to repeat as AFC North and AFC Champions, they'll have to put last season behind them and focus on each week as the Bengals schedule has no "Homecoming Games."
We can't do a NFL training camp tour if we don't include the best, so we made a pivot stop to check in with the AFC Champions and had the privilege of sitting down with the league's top wide receiver trio in Cincinnati. We know how demanding camp is, so for these three young guys to give us so much time in between practices and meetings was truly a special conversation. The prolific Bengals offense boasts targets Ja' Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd who did record breaking numbers last season while turning an organization around from 4-12 to AFC champions in one season. Coming off a Super Bowl loss to the LA Rams, the three guys talk about the disappointment but also the motivation to want to get back there and take another crack at it. Focused on the team goals, the three guys said the key to their continued success is the overwhelming unselfishness in the locker room and how everyone wants each other to excel. It's unique to have this much talent at one position and the guys explain how well the team has connected over the past year on and off the field. With QB Joe Burrow healing from a medical procedure, the guys explain how the team is staying focused and positive looking ahead to the games. Ja' Marr doesn't hesitate to admit that he would take a super bowl ring over his rookie of the year honors as Tyler Boyd continues to stress how zero selfishness exists on the team which is why they have confidence to not only repeat their success from last season but surpass it. It doesn't take long for Channing to realize all three young star players are single as he dives into the personal life and what it's like being a young single man with so much success so early in their careers. The three receivers talk about the NFL defensive backs they consider the top players at that position with a specific one coming out their division rival Cleveland Browns. It was another exciting day inside Paul Brown Stadium as the Cincinnati Bengals took part in the second annual NFL "Back Together Saturday," where the league has worked to get fans more involved leading to the start of the 2022 season. The AFC Champions took full advantage with 28,283 fans in attendance, and all were left in awe as second-year kicker Evan McPherson sent them home with a 65-yard bomb with room to spare. Dave Lapham In The Trenches, presented by First Star Logistics, talks about McPherson's big kick and several names looking to earn their way on the roster as the Bengals will look to repeat as AFC North Champions and AFC Champions with visions of winning their first Super Bowl. What players should fans know about in the early stages of camp they may not know? Karras, who last visited In The Trenches after signing with the AFC Champions as a free agent, has more to talk about on this visit as he's now met and worked with his new team during the recent OTAs. Karras discusses how lucky he's been, having worked with Tom Brady and now Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow along with learning a new system and working with new teammates La'el Collins, Alex Cappa, Jackson Carman, Cordell Volson, and Jonah Williams. While counting down the days to the start of training camp, Karras knows the grind has already started, and the work he's doing to get ready will play a significant role in this season's success.
Former Cincinnati Bengals safety Solomon Wilcots returns to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics in a two-part look at the Cincinnati Bengals following OTAs. We're just a few weeks away from the opening of training camp. While the Bengals will enter the 2022 season as a favorite to many, the path they took to become the AFC Champions and to Super Bowl LVI left several with a foul taste and marked the Bengals with a significant target on their backs when their paths cross again. In Part One, Wilcots and Lapham look at the struggles that could be facing the Bengals after their surprising success last season and more.
Another of our top guests on In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics is Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Coach Anarumo may have two more in the family looking to join the coaching profession; however, now, he's focused on getting the AFC Champions ready to defend their AFC North title, return to the playoffs and make another run to a Super Bowl. While comfortable with what the Bengals defense has done so far, tweaks are happing as the Bengals defense added a few new faces in the draft with Daxton Hill, Cam Taylor-Britt, Zachary Carter, Tycen Anderson, and Jeffrey Gunter. While not looking too far ahead, all eyes are starting to focus on Week One opponent, AFC North rival the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It's the offseason, and takes are flying left and right. Taylor takes up defending the AFC Champion Bengals in the latest episode of the Who Dey Den, including: - why calling the Bengals 'lucky' is flawed - accepting the REALITY of what this team is - is Joe Burrow actually better than Patrick Mahomes? - which AFC 'favorite' REALLY should be doubted When not podding, you can find Taylor roaming the Twitter streets, @_TaylorCornell. Locked On Redskins - Daily Podcast On The Washington Redskins
On Sunday, the Washington Football Team fell to the Kansas City Chiefs by a final score of 31-13. On the day when the franchise retired the jersey of slain safety Sean Taylor, it was the Chiefs who put up 21 second-half points to win the Week 6 matchup of 2-3 teams. The WFT Defense gave up their fourth first-drive touchdown to an opponent in 2021, but after that came away with three takeaways, intercepting Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes twice, and getting a fumble from wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Washington defenders Kendall Fuller, Bobby McCain, and Kam Curl were the beneficiaries of the turnovers, but the Washington offense was only able to generate seven points off of them.Still, Washington headed into halftime with a 13-10 lead, over the defending AFC Champions.Heinicke led the Washington offense into scoring range one time in the second-half, resulting in a missed field goal from kicker, Dustin Hopkins. After that, it was all Chiefs, as the WFT offense never entered their opponent's red zone, the entire game. In fact, Washington has only entered their opponent's red zone twice, in the last 20 possessions.Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Washington Football Team Podcast on these platforms…Apple: https://apple.co/2YHegGcSpotify: https://spoti.fi/3mHG7yeAudacy: https://bit.ly/2YDl7jEMegaphone: https://bit.ly/3AIshkdFollow Locked On Podcast Network on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LockedOnNetworkCheck out all of our NFL Coverage: linktr.ee/lockedonnflFollow David on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DHarrison82Follow Chris on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Russellmania621Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
