President Donald Trump is set to meet with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the White House on Friday. It is the first bilateral meeting between the two leaders since Trump's return to office in January. The two leaders are expected to discuss Hungary's reliance on Russian oil. Trump has insisted that European nations stop buying Russian petroleum products as a way of slashing Moscow's funding for its war in Ukraine.Some 40 airports across the United States are being forced to decrease the number of flights, starting on Friday. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the decision on Wednesday, as it struggles with personnel shortages due to the ongoing government shutdown.
The FAA laid out a plan to cut as much as 10% percent of flights operating out of 40 major airports. Airlines already pre-emptively cancelled hundreds of flights in response. The Trump administration said the move was triggered by the government shutdown, as air traffic controllers working without pay have been calling in sick. The Federal Aviation Administration announced Wednesday that it will reduce air traffic by 10% across 40 “high-volume” markets beginning Friday morning to maintain safety during the ongoing government shutdown. In other news, almost a month after a theft caused the historic Freedman's Cemetery in Dallas to implement a curfew, Dallas police have arrested a man accused of taking eight bronze plaques from the cemetery. Fifty-one year old Troy Springer was arrested on Oct. 23 after investigators accused him of stealing the cemetery markers; almost 3 million Texans cast ballots in Tuesday's constitutional amendment election, which would be the most votes cast in an odd-number year election in recent history; and Quinnen Williams, a talented defensive tackle that the Cowboys acquired in a trade with the New York Jets this week, is happy to be in Dallas. Vicki Calhoun grew up in a military family then married into the military. She has lived in five different countries and six states. She was born into a military family. Her mother was from England U.K. and her father was from Kentucky. They met when he was in the Air Force and was stationed in England as an Air Traffic controller. Vicki began her freshman year of high school in Michigan, while her father was stationed in Vietnam. The family moved to Charleston, South Carolina when he returned stateside and she finished high school in South Carolina. She attended the College of Charleston and received an Associate Degree before moving to Japan. While in Japan (1975-1979) Vicky worked as a model in Tokyo. When she returned to the United States, she went back to college and worked as a travel agent in Florida. For the following fifteen years, she was a travel agent. She enjoys pottery and reading. She was a volunteer for Heifer International and at her children's school and, through her church, reaches out to the homeless population in Little Rock.
