Wi hebbt bi uns op de Terrass‘ so'n Nistkasten, de dor as Deko hangt. Mien Madam hett em mol verschinkt kreegen, un de Kassen süht ut as'n witted Huus mit twee Etoschen ünner'n rauded Doken. Dor is 'n Huusdöör an un ook twee Finstern, un ganz boben, ünnern Giebel is dat Lock för de Vogels. Wi wi weern in Droom ni dorop kom‘ dat in so'n bunted Speeltüüchdings mol würkli Piepmätze intrecken wurrn. Dat weer meist as bi't Versteek speeln. Dor heff ick denn mien Endoskop holt, dat ick to'n Basteln an't Auto oder an't Moped heff un dat ick veellicht noch mol för 'n OP, för so'n lütte Nierntransplantatschoon oder so bruuken kann. In düssen Sinn

Wenn man sick de Natuur bekieken deiht, denn kann man je ganz scheun in't Staun‘ kom‘, ne. All de Planten, all de Tiern, de so rümschnurrt – wo kümmt dat blots allns her? Froogen över Froogen, wat Genaued weet man ni. He glöövt. Dor kann man erstmol ook nix gegenan seggen. Man kann dat Gegendeel ni mol even bewiesen. Mutt man je ook ni. Vun mi ut kann jedeneen glööven, wat he oder se will. Liekers dink ick bilütten över den „leeven“ Gott no. Wenn de Gott allmächti is, wenn he de Eer mit allns drüm an dran würkli ut nix in söben Doog trechzaubert hett, denn is dat je würkli allerhand. Blots mit de Minschen hett he sick anschiend so'n lütt beten verhext. De sünd em ni so recht glückt. Un in Sodom un Gomorrha hett he ehr mit Füüer dat Licht utknipst. Dorno hett he dat overs noloten. Overs dat mutt 'n Meister ween, de so'n Schnitzers mokt. Jo, mi dücht, van Gogh weer 'n tehmli kloogen Kopp. Liekers hett he sick dat Ohr ansneeden… In düssen Sinn

Duuert also ni mehr lang, bet de Wiehnachsman kümmt. Un de Wiehnachsmann, as he bi uns bekannt is, de kümmt ut de USA. Vun dor keem in Westdüütschland je veel no'n Tweeten Weltkrieg. Cola, Zigaretten, un noch so veel mehr. Dormols sünd de Amerikoners bi uns as de Retters fiert worrn. Dor hett sick so'n lütt beten wat an ännert, dücht mi. Dor bringt in Oogenblick 'n oln witten Mann mit 'n orangschen Kopp tehmli veel dör'nanner. Donald Trump. Egol. Dormit hett Putin vöriged Johr sluss mokt. He hett 'n Werbefilm dreihn loten, in den Väterchen Frost mit'n Panzer ünnerwegens is un den Santa Klooß mit all sien Rentiern un sien Sledden, mit 'n Raket meern bi't Fleegen in de Luft jogt. Dor fallt di echt nix mehr to in. För ehr harr de Wiehnachsmann jüst so wenig in Büddel as Väterchen Frost… In düssen Sinn
Mien Madam hett sick överleggt, sick 'n Düütschland-Ticket to holn. Natüürli an leevsten denn, wenn se ni ganz so pünktli ween mutt. Nu kann man sick dat dorste Düütschland-Ticket je ganz eenfach över't Internet kööpen. Dat hebbt wi Dingsdagmorn noch dacht. Overs eenfach is anners. No den tweeten Anloop vun mien Seute heff ick mi dormit ut'neen sett. Trechkreegen heff overs ook ick dat ni. „Bezahlvorgang fehlerhaft“ oder sowat stunn dor jümmers. Tscha, de Alternative weer, mit Kreditkoart to betohln. Dor heff ick mi al 'n beten wunnerwarkt. Wat 'n Glück, dat mien Madam so'n Koart hett. Ick heff denn seggt: „Kom, lot uns no't Reisebüro fohrn.“ Also af no Brunsbüttel. In't erste Reisebüro gung dat ni. Dor wurr seggt: „Goh man mol no't annere Reisebüro.“ Dor gung dat ook ni. Overs wi hebbt den Tipp kreegen, no Itzehoe to fohrn, dor schull an den Dag dat Service-Center vun de Düütsche Bohn besett ween. Weer dat ook tatsächli. Un dor kreeg mien Madam no teihn Minuten ennli ehr vörläufiged Düütschland-Ticket, dat eegentli keen Ticket is, sünnern 'n „Abonnemang“. So. Overs dat Isenbohn fohrn so wat vun figeliensch ween kann, dat harrn wi uns vör düsse ganz besünnere Erfohrung ni mol in Droom vörstellt… In düssen Sinn
Also, ick doh mi je swor dormit över't Wöller to schrieven. Overs no Middeweeken vun düsse Week, mutt ick doch mol 'n Utnohm moken. Dor weer ick mit'n Reisebus in Flensborg, un wiel mien Fohrgäste mit 'n Schipp op de Förde ünnerwegens weern, heff ick op 'n Parkplatz stohn, bummeli teihn Kilometers vun Flensborg wech. So. Un dor heff ick nu stohn. Vun morns Klock teihn bet obends Klock halvi söben. As ick ankeem weern buten 29 Grod. Ick kunn gor ni so veel suupen as ick sweet‘ heff. Nu stunn ick je an 'n Steed , vun det ut no vöör un achter fief Kilometer nix keem. Keen Dörp, keen Tanksteed, no de man mol even henloopen kunn. Gor nix. Un wat heff ick mi no 'n Ies sehnt. Bus ansmieten, Klimaanlog op Notfall-Vulldamp un af no mien Lüüd, de vun See keem. An leevsten harr den dorsten Spooßvogel direkt in de Flensbörger Förde smeeten. Annerlei. Nu gung dat je in‘ angenehm klimatiseerten Bus weller trüch no Dithmarschen. As wi in Dithmarschen ankeem‘ weer dat mit mol 19 Grod kold. Dor stunn mi de Sinn eher no'n anstännigen Grog. Jungedi. Ganz scheun anstrengend, so'n Klimawannel… In düssen Sinn

Join Shannon Hagen and myself, Dylan Sara, for our twenty seventh episode of Drawn Together. Today we're chatting with Thomas Little of A Rural Pen Inkworks! @a.rural.pen is one of my favourite instagram accounts. Early on in my foray into self sourced art supplies I came across Thomas' account and was inspired by the attention to detail, the magic and the mission conveyed in his posts. From infusing ink with herbs, anatomy of ink blots, dissolving guns, from constants, slime mould to wildflowers, the wonder, curiosity and insight is so enriching and enthralling. It's great to see the feedback from some of you who enjoyed the Modular/vintage edition. Now, back to our usual look at recent new releases, with another round of superlative sounds from musicians based around the globe. Seven new names added to the list include, Under Water Sleep Orchestra, a nightmarish trip within blurry worlds and a nostalgic journey of dark ambient with a cinematic edge. The duo A Winged Victory Of A Dividing Pair music built on their foundations in ambient and neoclassical. Dramón brings experimental climatic and noisy music inspired by ambient and electronics as the basis of his creation. Incorporating gentle guitar synth flute and percussion, dappled with nature sounds, comes from Carlos Denger. Known for his performances using lap steel, guitarist Frank Schultz takes a drifting journey into a cavernous and droning ambience. The unusual setup by Edouard Ferlet of two pianos, one of which is mechanical, echoes the work of Philip Glass or Nils Frahm. To stir emotions through well-orchestrated musical choices is William St Hugh. We kick off the opening track from ComputerChemist new Berlin School-style album 'Mysterious Cave of Eternal Theta'. It's a new season of The Received Wisdom!! After their partial summer hiatus, Shobita and Jack discuss the fraud allegations that are rocking the foundations of what we know about Alzheimer's Disease, and the Biden Administration's directive to make freely available all publications based on federally funded research. And, they chat with Macarthur Fellow Mary Gray about the "ghost workers" behind digital technologies and supposedly artificial intelligence. Gray is Senior Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research, Faculty Associate at Harvard University's Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, and faculty in the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering with affiliations in Anthropology and Gender Studies at Indiana University.Relevant Links- Charles Piller (2022). In a rare surprise for official Washington, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) announced a deal to expand the planned health bill in the Senate to include provisions raising taxes and addressing climate change. The measure would include a third year of expanded subsidies for the Affordable Care Act, but not health care coverage for people left out of Medicaid in states that failed to expand the program. Meanwhile, the ACA goes back to court, and the Biden administration restores anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people that were rolled back by the Trump administration. Joanne Kenen of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Politico, Sarah Karlin-Smith of the Pink Sheet, and Alice Miranda Ollstein of Politico join KHN's Julie Rovner to discuss these issues and more. Also this week, Rovner interviews Dr. Céline Gounder of KHN about the latest on the monkeypox outbreak. Plus, for extra credit, the panelists recommend their favorite health policy stories of the week they think you should read, too: Julie Rovner: NPR's “Because of Texas Abortion Law, Her Wanted Pregnancy Became a Medical Nightmare,” by Carrie Feibel Alice Miranda Ollstein: The Hill's “Top FDA Tobacco Official Leaving for Philip Morris Job,” by Nathaniel Weixel Joanne Kenen: Science's “Blots on a Field? Hark! Could it be? The long-lost Cinesthesia New Years '21 episode has been located! Jim's and Jason's return finds them belatedly ringing in 2022 (and Book TWO) in spectral fashion. Just in time for the holidays, Jim and Jason settle down in front the hearth to roast their chestnuts, toast some champagne, and boast with chutzpah. As 2021 comes to a close, Cinesthesia is the only podcast with the cheese to chat about the reason for the season. That's right, we're talking about ghosts. Are they spirits of the dead? Glitches in reality? Quantum entanglement of souls across spacetime? Undigested bits of beef? Blots of mustard? This episode is all gravy, baby. Come sit by the fire and listen, and ring in the future with us. Every day is a new year if you want it to be. Join a filmmaker (and sometimes film teacher) and a film teacher (and sometimes filmmaker) as they venture into the dark heart of their own befuddled relationship to culture, the youth, the internet, friendship, love, hate, time, space and, of course: *m*o*v*i*e*s*. Come hear what we see. CINESTHESIA is produced by Iguanodonald Studios and distributed by Split Tooth Media. Music for CINESTHESIA is generously provided by the greatest bands that have ever been, The Coctails, Soft Healer, and Misters Presidents.
