Created by Jerry Bennett, Brandy Williams, and Charles J. Martin, Glamorella's Daughter seeks to explore the difficulties children face when trying to relate to their working parents in this middle grade comic series. Glamorella's Daughter possesses the heart and inclusivity of Ms. Marvel as well as Young Sheldon's focus on the challenges of being a brilliant and inquisitive child. In this book you see a mother beloved by the world, and a daughter who prefers her world smaller and behind the pages of her book, join forces to stop an alien invasion and learn to work together and throw our title characters autism. Charles, Brandy and I talk about the start of this story. How Charles' relationship with his own children influenced it, how Brandy and Jerry helped it grow, and the work the three of them do in the growing Oklahoma City creator owned comic book scene, that sounds as though the next big thing probably won't come out of the big two in New York or LA. With the title so close to its goal, even if you don't listen, give the Kickstarter read more on the title, and see if it might just be perfect for someone in your life. Many of us who have medical conditions are all to familiar with the long list of adverse effects that comes along with pharmaceuticals, this is why so many end up being cannabis card holders in the first place! But what happens if that pharmaceutical product is a vaccine? October is Vaccine Injury Awareness Month and Mom's on High believes these families should have a voice! .......Join us as we chat with our next guest Brandy Williams who filed a claim in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program on behalf of her Vaccine injured son Logan. Logan's case went on to being a world renown case in the VICP. Brandy is also joined by friend, fellow advocate, special needs parent, Medical Cannabis patient and Former Law Enforcement Officer AJ. Brandy has spent the last nine years dealing Government Scientist from HHS, Special Masters in the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, DOJ Lawyers, Neurologists, Neuroscientists, Infectious Diseases Exsperts, Immunologists, Toxicologists & beyond. Because of this she has received information most people from the public are not privy too! YOU CAN NOT SUE THE VACCINE MANUFACTURERS when something goes wrong thanks to the national Vaccine injury act that was signed by Congress in 1986!!!!!!!!!!! Logan had serious life treating self injury and agression towards care givers. He was smashing his head 75-150 times per day and his mom knows it is brought on by the pain caused by encephalopathy (brain inflammation) seizures, stroke damage, enterocolitis, inflammatory bowel disease and other conditions brought on by his twelve month round of vaccines. When Logan's pediatrician handed Brandy a script for a helmet and Risperdal, a hard core Antipsychotics, she knew knew THIS was NOT going to be good enough for her young son who was only THREE! The same pharmaceutical company that made the vaccines that harmed her son was the same pharmaceutical company who makes the antipsychotic. And how is a antipsychotic going to address the damage that the vaccines caused? This was the pivitol moment that lead Brandy's family on a journey to the path of healing and advocacy. Logan received his card when he was five years old because of a seizures diagnosis his family wanted to address more naturally and what they got was so much more! Brandy has been Advocating the use of medical cannabis for Autism for the last five years. She is a part of a Grassroots National Organization Called Mother's Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism. MAMMA was founded in 2014 by two Conservative Mother's while at church in Texas. Brandy started one of the first MAMMA state chapters here in Arizona and is the Petition Specialist for MAMMA USA. While Brandy may not have gone through Medical school she has earned the letters MD following her name. Mother Determined! Today on Hempire our host Eileen Karpfinger is joined by Arizona mom and cannabis advocate Brandy Williams. Brandy is passionate about how well medical cannabis has helped her son with seizure control and self-harming episodes. She said, “He was having 7 – 15 seizures a day. He was banging his head 75 – 150 times per day. I have scars all over my arms from him biting my flesh. Every door in our home had a hole in it from his head.” Within 20 minutes of her son’s first dose of CBD oil, he was calm and focused. She said, “My son’s entire world has changed. I couldn’t imagine going through another four years of autism without medical marijuana.”
Brandy Williams centers her work on the insight gained through love: the radical love of our embodied selves, love for our partners and community, and the love of the gods which is the gateway into the world of spirit. Teacher, priestess, writer, initiator into the mysteries, she is passionate about sharing the knowledge of the gods and making magical traditions accessible to everyone. Williams works in Western Traditional Magic as a Thelemite, Golden Dawn magician and Witch. She co-founded the sororal order Sisters of Seshat, is the founder and director of Seattle Pagan Scholars, and past president of Covenant of the Goddess. Since 2001 she has been active in Ordo Templi Orientis, having served as master of Vortex Oasis and on Anahata Rose Croix Chapter. Williams is an ordained priestess in Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica and celebrates the Gnostic Mass with Vortex Oasis.

Brandy is a ceremonial magician and founder and director of Seattle Pagan Scholars. She has served as President of Covenant of the Goddess and maintains involvement with Ordo Templi Orientis and the Temple of Light and Darkness. She is the author of Practical Magic for Beginners, The Woman Magician, and she joins us this evening to discuss her latest book, For the Love of the Gods, The History and Modern Practice of Theurgy.
Join Lee Harrington in this rich discussion with sexuality and spirituality advocate, author and educator Xochiquetzal. They dive into race and appropriation in paganism and kink communities alike, sharing the idea that “race play” means something totally different as a Latina woman thinking of the Aztecs. From types of ways that people work to be “seen” in the world to the censure that we do to ourselves every day of our lives, Xochiquetzal and Lee examine how respect comes into play as explorers finding their ways in the world. While doing so, they acknowledge our energetic fatigue and ask each person to breathe deep and find a life beyond the shame gifted to us by our overculture. *** Xochiquetzal is a High Priest/ess within the Treebridge Tradition, through Lyceum of the Wayfarer. They are an initiated Shaktist, an Umbandista, a Polytheist, and Catholic. They rarely have issues with navigating these strangely mixed worlds. Within their work mingling sex, spirit, kink, and magic they have found freedom and joy. They are also called to Service by teaching this freedom and joy to any who come to them as seekers. *** Passion And Soul Podcast: iTunes Subscription: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/passion-soul-podcast-by-lee/id840372122 RSS Feed: http://passionandsoul.libsyn.com/rss Past MP3 files: http://passionandsoul.libsyn.com PassionAndSoul Audio Page: http://passionandsoul.com/audio Stitcher: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/erotic-awakening-podcast/passion-and-soul Erotic Awakening Network: http://www.eroticawakening.com/podcast Xochiquetzal Contact Information: Website: http://sacredprofanity.com/ Facebook: http://fb.com/sacredprofanity1 Twitter: https://twitter.com/wyfrngstrngr Email: contact@sacredprofanity.com Fetlife: https://fetlife.com/users/703988 Links, Events, People and Books Mentioned: Rachel Dolezal: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jun/14/became-a-black-woman-spokane-rachel-dolezal-black-girl Pantheacon – San Jose, CA (February 12-15, 2016): http://pantheacon.com/wordpress/ Talking about the Elephant: An Anthology of Neopagan Perspectives on Cultural Appropriation (edited by Lupa) http://www.amazon.com/Talking-About-Elephant-Perspectives-Appropriation-ebook/dp/B0098NL86K/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=pass-20 Social Unrest and the Reflections of Pagans of Color: http://wildhunt.org/2013/07/social-unrest-and-the-reflections-of-pagans-of-color.html Racial Discussion Fatigue Syndrome: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j6Kcsm5wp-4 Spencer Bergstedt, International Ms. Leather 1994: http://www.leatherati.com/2013/11/sir-spence-imsl/ Mollena Williams: http://www.mollena.org Playing Well With Others: http://www.amazon.com/Playing-Well-Others-Discovering-Communities/dp/0937609587/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=pass-20 Spirit of Desire: Personal Explorations of Sacred Kink (edited by Lee Harrington): http://www.amazon.com/Spirit-Desire-Personal-Explorations-Sacred/dp/0557992419/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=pass-20 By Blood, By Bone, By Blade (edited by Nicole Bonvisuto): http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Bone-Blade-Tribute-Morrigan/dp/150056656X/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=pass-20 Bringing Race to the Table: Exploring Racism in the Pagan Community (edited by Crystal Blanton, Taylor Elwood, and Brandy Williams): http://www.amazon.com/Bringing-Race-Table-Exploring-Community-ebook/dp/B00T5KABMS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=pass-20 Many Gods West – Olympia, WA (July 31-August 2, 2015): http://manygodswest.com/ Lee's Upcoming Events/Appearances: http://passionandsoul.com/appearances/ Lee Harrington Contact Information: http://www.PassionAndSoul.com http://www.FetLife.com/passionandsoul http://twitter.com/#!/PassionAndSoul https://www.facebook.com/lee.harringon https://www.facebook.com/passionandsoul
This week we are joined by Xochiquetzal Duti Odinsdottir. We not only talk more about the events of Pantheacon 2015, but we also talk about how the progressive movement deals with issues of race. How do we open our eyes to how racism works in our society? What is the future of racism and social justice in America? How do we crack the lenses that we’ve been given by history and by our faiths so that we can see outside our smaller communities and groups? Xochiquetzal Duti Odinsdottir is genderqueer, AFAB, Mexican (born Stateside), mujerista, social activist, and Witch. Xochiquetzal does a lot of work in joining the Sacred and the Profane. They were recently elevated to High Priest/ess in Treebridge Tradition and are currently trying to figure out what that means (besides MORE work). In this third episode that coincides with Pantheacon, we talk to P. Sufenas Virius Lupus about the evolution of gender in regards to Deity. Do the Gods really care about their, and our, gender? Can we create new deities that are inclusive and that work for us? How have we evolved in our thinking around gender? How does pagan isolationism contribute to issues of gender and inclusion? We also talk about how sharing and listening to the stories of people can put a human face onto the “other.” (And there’s some Buffy spoilers for the uninitiated.) P. Sufenas Virius Lupus is a metagender person, and the founding member, Doctor, Sacerdos, Magistratum, and Mystagogos of the Ekklesía Antínoou (a queer, Graeco-Roman-Egyptian syncretist reconstructionist polytheist religious group dedicated to Antinous, the deified lover of the Roman Emperor Hadrian and other related gods and divine figures), a contributing member of Neos Alexandria, and a Celtic Reconstructionist in the traditions of filidecht and gentlidecht, amongst other spiritual pursuits. Lupus’ work (poetry, essays, and fiction) has been published in many of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina devotional volumes, and in the anthologies Datura and Mandragora edited by Ruby Sara, When the Lion Roars edited by Galina Krasskova, Etched Offerings edited by Inanna Gabriel and C. Bryan Brown, Rooted in the Body, Seeking the Soul edited by Tara Miller, Bringing Race to the Table edited by Crystal Blanton, Taylor Ellwood and Brandy Williams, and the periodicals Witches & Pagans, Abraxas, Circle Magazine, Eternal Haunted Summer, Walking the Worlds, and Air n-Aithesc...and, there's always more on the way! E has also published a book of poems, The Phillupic Hymns (2008), and the book-length poem All-Soul, All-Body, All-Love, All-Power: A TransMythology (2012), and also several other monographs: The Syncretisms of Antinous (2010); Devotio Antinoo: The Doctor's Notes, Volume 1 (2011); A Garland for Polydeukion (2012); A Serpent Path Primer (2012); and Ephesia Grammata: Ancient History and Modern Practice (2014). Lupus used to write the "Queer I Stand" column at Patheos.com's Pagan Channel, and currently writes the "Speaking of Syncretism" column at Polytheist.com.
