The Bandwagon is stripped down this week as Dave and PC Tunney helm the ship for a big week in the Nerdosphere. Naturally, we are covering Thunderbolts as Dave, Tunney (and the rest of the Bandwagon, for that matter) all saw the latest entry into the MCU. What was the consensus, and did the longest post-credit scene in MCU history push the Universe in the right direction? In other MCU News, we discovered why Hawkeye had no second season. From there, the guys head into the Trailer Park to look at the latest, including a sizzle reel for Netflix's TUDUM event, Dwayne "The Rock " Johnson's latest movie, The Smashing Machine, and a very creepy look at Weapons. GTA 6 got delayed, again....but could that be a blessing in disguise? But this Episode was recorded on Star Wars Day, and to commemorate the event, Dave tries his best to convince Tunney to watch Andor, while Tunney tells Dave what he likes most about one of the most successful franchises of all time. Throughout the history of BWN, three properties have dominated much of the discussion. This week, your favorite Nerds got to talk about all three as we have news from the MCU, the DCU, and Star Wars to consider. On the DC side of things, we got news that Supergirl has begun filming. Rey and Dave have decidedly different feelings about that....and that is putting it mildly. On the other hand, the guys are all excited about Sinestro being cast in the upcoming Lanterns series and where the Green Lantern Corps might fit into James Gunn's vision for the DCU. On the Marvel side of things, Doctor Strange will not be a part of Avengers: Doomsday, and the guys are not that surprised. On the Star Wars side of things, Ryan Gosling might be getting brought into the Star Wars Universe and Natalie Portman might be getting brought back....and it might not be in the role we are expecting. At the request of 2/3 of this week's Bandwagon, the Nerds convened for an extra early morning recording of BWN this week. The guys continued their coverage of Game 7, and hockey took center stage as we went back in time to look at Game 7 of the 1987 Stanley Cup Finals between the Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers dismantled the Flyers in the 1985 Cup Final. Things were much different in 1987 as the Oilers tried to establish their dynasty, and the young, fearless Flyers did all they could to prevent it. The Trailer Park was stripped down this week, but the guys looked at the big reveal for What If Season 3, Cameron Diaz's return to action movies, and a fun look at Univeral's Epic Universe, coming to Orlando this May. This week, the roster is OG-heavy as Patrick, Dave, and PC Tunney say goodbye to one of the first series they began watching in the early days of BWN. Umbrella Academy has been a staple of BWN for four tremendous seasons, and this week, the guys reach the end of the road as they review the series finale. The Episode polarized many fans. Some loved the finale; others, not so much. Here on the Bandwagon, the guys were split as well. Who loved it? Who did not? You will need to tune in to find out. A quick visit to the Trailer Park looks at another movie warning of the dangers of AI, the conclusion of the Venom trilogy, and a reboot of Salem's Lot that looks like it could be a worthy successor to the epic 70's mini-series. If you tuned in to BWN 248, you heard much about D23 and what was looming for huge franchises such as Star Wars and the MCU. BWN returns for unquestionably the biggest week in entertainment in 2024. The MCU returned this week with a bullet. All the guys went to see Deadpool and Wolverine and had their thoughts. Everyone loved the movie for a variety of reasons. But is it the movie that will propel the MCU forward into 2025 and beyond? Regardless, San Diego Comic-Con was back in full force for the first time since the pandemic. Historically, Marvel's Hall H reveals have been rather epic, and this year was no exception. From confirmed release dates to the stunning reveal of Dr. Doom....and the even more stunning reveal of who will be playing him....the MCU announced that the rumors of its demise had been greatly exaggerated. BWN returns this week just in time for the biggest two-week stretch in Nerdom in a very long time. This week saw the season finales of The Boys & The Acolyte. While we have come to expect the unexpected with The Boys, the Season 4 Finale pulled the rug out from everyone with one of the more shocking closing sequences we have seen in a while. It was a rather quiet week in the Nerdosphere and this week's Episode of BWN reflects that, to some extent. To start, Patrick, Dave & PC recap Episodes 3-5 of Season 3 of The Witcher. For one of the rare times in the near 200 Episode history of BWN, the Nerds got together on a Saturday to record an Episode. Fueled by copious amounts of caffeine, Patrick oversaw a full compliment of Nerds as they broke down Secret Invasion, Episode 4. Nick Fury's list of allies continued to dwindle this week and the worst kept secret about a secret Skrull was revealed. The guys then take an extended tour of the Trailer Park and took a look at the latest from Ahsoka, Wonka, Blue Beetle, Rebel Moon, and more. James Gunn made some huge casting announcements for Superman: Legacy that has everyone (even Patrick...sort of) excited about the direction of the latest attempt to reboot the Man of Steel. But, the biggest news of the week, of course, was the fact that SAG/AFTRA joined the writers in a strike against the Studios. This week, on BWN, the guys close the book on Season 3 of The Mandalorian. We've seen Wilson Bayly (JSE code: WBO) walk away from their Australian operations. Low margins and bankers not keen on bonding projects are going to crunch this industry globally. I would suggest Aveng (JSE code: AEG) is not immune either. The only time this industry really made money was in the run-up to the world cup, and they were colluding to get operating margins of +5%. So really this is a bust industry. That all said, decent results from Calgro M3 (JSE code: CGR) while we wait for Balwin (JSE code: BWN). Simon Shares MTN (JSE code: MTN) ditches Telkom (JSE code: TKG) over their Rain talks. Pick n Pay (JSE code: PIK) results. Not bad but the market hated selling the stock down 9.3%. Is the issue valuation? Forward PE is ±29c vs. Shoprite* (JSE code: SHP) is on ±21x. Combined Motor Holdings* (JSE code: CMH) has great results driven by car rentals surging. But it going to be tough going from here. UK inflation returns to a 40-year high of 10.1%.

This week on BWN, Rey Cash is all kinds of triggered as the inevitability of World War Hulk became a focal point of Episode 2 of She-Hulk. Why is Rey so angry? We have the answers for you here.
