Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Today the international players of the BWA crew hit us with some more in-depth thoughts about everyone’s favorite topic....Dat Rona. Then after a trip down a weird rabbit hole of discussions around chest hair and what’s the appropriate level of man hair, the guys kick back up some relationship chat, and Coach Kev hits us with some free game. The question is...are you listening, ready to rock, roll, and be bold without apology? Or are you full of talk, doing the same ol, and full of excuses? We don’t know why most people are great until they have to be great...but we can tell you when the truth hurts, we not afraid to say it! Let’s get it.

Crabs in a bucket Spectator mentality Call it what you want, but just call it like it is....most people take time to minimize, dramatize, and criticize someone else’s journey just because they feel they can. Can we say JUDGMENTAL!? But in today’s episode Coach Kev has had BOUT-ENOUGH-OF-IT. Why? The second you form an opinion about someone else’s journey without truly putting yourself in their full perspective you commit to a couple of fallacies: 1 - you assume every one thinks like you. (Can we just say how egotistical that is) 2 - you kill anyone’s chance to learn and grow (Talk about supportive) 3 - you’re just an asshole. A self-centered, self serving, self focused asshole. You don’t stop to think that critical perspective you have might not be the best way to look at this person’s choices. And yet, here we sit in a society full or rotten tomatoes. The second you make a movie, write a book, post a video, or choose a decision that goes against what someone else believes....you’re instantly outcasted and everything becomes a conflict of “my values are better than yours.” So it’s today that we decree.....fuckth thy haters. You can NOT live your life walking on eggshells hoping you make everybody happy with each choice you have. If that’s the case...you need new friends. Maybe we can be those friends...come join us! As long as you’re willing not to judge us when we are just trying to figure out journey out. Let’s get it.

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

So...pop quiz time! What are some of the origins of Valentines Day? Well, here’s an interesting one: Back in the Roman Empire days, they used to have a festival called Lupercalia in the middle of February to celebrate the beginning of spring time. During this festival, all the boys would draw a name from a box with a girl’s name on it. They’d instantly be dubbed boyfriend and girlfriend and sometimes EVEN GET MARRIED. Talk. About. Pressure. No wonder dudes wait until the last minute to buy Valentine’s Day gifts! Could you imagine the looming pressure of having to show your love on one particular day that feels forced and unnaturally yet if you don’t you’ll be judged. Sounds familiar? There seems to be some disconnect between the expectation of love and the appreciation of love. And it’s this very topic where Coach Kev becomes a loose cannon. If you have sensitive feelings towards being loved on Valentine’s Day...you won’t like what Coach has to say. Not to be outdone with Valentines Day debates...Coach Kev has a message for lazy women in relationships (whom he equates to f**kboys, a group he often tries to Coach from a place of passion). To be clear...Coach Kev is only addressing those women who knowingly and intentionally or even recklessly take for granted their significant other on the basis of expectation. Wait wait wait, don’t give me the side eye, I’m just the messenger. If you want to hear the debate live and in full, go ahead and hit play. We love you.

Apparently Coach Kev was seen in Houston a few days ago driving an Uber on his day off. Sources say he was asked if he “fell off,” and Coach kindly reminded the passengers that he’s just taking care of his responsibilities. Did he really fall off? If a man works a minimum wage job but feeds his family does that make him less of a man? Does Coach Kev listen to Usher’s most famous song while ubering? Was the story even about a Coach Kev...or Yung Joc? If you meet someone in the club, is it going down? Can you truly know when you are 100% ready for marriage? At what point should social media life coaches be careful of the narrative they push to vulnerable people? We got questions...and we are sure y’all have answers! Today’s podcast starts off with a bit more grounded conversation around some personal moments in Coach Kev’s life. Between the passing of a family member and witnessing the birth of new life, Kevin comes away with a renewed sense of purpose and perspective. But what about you? Through 100 plus videos, 100 plus podcast episodes, and hours of chop up sessions...Coach Kev wonders if those around him and the few that tune in are truly appreciating their life at the moment? Will it take a death of a loved one to remind you of the blessings? Hopefully not. As we move into the holiday season, this is the chance to truly be thankful....here, now. Fully. Truthfully. Because no matter who you are, we all have our day. So what are YOU doing filling in your life in the dash between life and death? Are you fixating on making money you cant take with you? Are you trying to keep up with friends that don’t like you? Are you holding onto grudges with people who aren’t even thinking about you? Or...are you growing up and seizing the opportunity to live life? Whatever your answer, come tune and get a chop up with the fellas. Don’t worry, all you gotta bring to this table is realness.

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

It’s another day, another chop up session! This week we join the guys by diving into their thoughts about the recently released Disney+ with the Hulu package deal. We then hear about how Netflix refuses to be outdone, and decided to join forces with............Nickelodeon. With Disney + becoming the lead game changer in media and entertainment, Coach Kev encourages people with regular cable to “let it goooo, let it gooo.” After giving an interesting business perspective on what Netflix can do to save themselves (and the dying movie theater industry.....r.i.p Movie Pass) the conversation switches up and the guys peruse the idea of break ups... What’s worse...getting broke up with...or breaking up with somebody? What’s the “best” way to break up with somebody? Is Coach Kev thug enough to break up with somebody over text? From there we dive into this episode's “deep cut,” where Coach encourages everyone to tap into their intuition. Are you playing small, living average, or mad at the world when you really should be mad at yourself for not growing? Are you still around the SAME people with the SAME problems and living the SAME mistakes....wondering when “your moment” will be? Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to sit down, chill out, and finally listen to your intuition...

Good morning! Or....uhm....good evening! The guys make some late night moves to bring the peeps a late nights' installment of the Chop Up Session. Things kick off with a debate about shooting your shot. Is there ever REALLY a wrong time to shoot your shot? Is doing the right thing ALWAYS the right thing? Where’s the line between standards and realism? Are DM’s always a breeding ground for rachetness? Coach Kev then hits us with an impromptu freestyle on the idea of “letting people have it.” When asked what this means, Coach explains he sees a lot of “not so happy” fake happiness on social media, so he’s at the point of letting people chase the surface level things....although true happiness rests in things that are priceless. The crew then gets into ESPN mode and debate what it takes to make a “hall of fame” athlete. Do you agree that Steph Curry isn’t a hall of fame level player yet? Hmmmm....tune in and let us know your thoughts!

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Please be forewarned, during the recording of this podcast, the fellas are in Midtown Houston and suddenly end up in the middle of a wild audience during the Astros’ home run win to make it to the World Series! What’s this mean? The guys had to illegally park by Buffalo Wild Wings and a random Chinese restaurant, ignore countless pedestrians hooting, yelling, and cheering, and above all else.....lock in for the chop up session. But no worries...all it takes is asking Coach Kev “what’s on your mind”...and it’s game on! First we hear from Coach Kev, who has been preparing for a powerlifting comp, as he expressed his frustration with society’s thirst for being skinny. A distracted...or maybe sleepy-headed Jerry then asked a few random questions about “females who don’t like having female friends” and something he stumbled upon called “Hobby Horsing.” No worries...people running around on imaginary horses is enough for Coach Kev to express his refusal to pay any mind to crazy trends, and Jerry delivers Coach a few interesting questions: Since you’re here...maybe you can answer: Do women tend to prefer Nerds or Jocks? Does everything good truly exist in “the sweet spot?” What’s the difference between a grown ass woman and an immature chick? ....and the more political question of the day, “is it wrong for people that are not black to say the N word?” Eat your pancakes, grab your Houston Astros jerseys, and come rock with us at the chop up sesssssssion!

The weather is getting colder, the days are running longer, A/C units are finally able to rest....but here at the BWA Chop up session, things are ALWAYS hot and interesting!!! Especially after Jerry decides to label Coach Kev as a potential serial killer! Let’s take a poll...if you creep around at night, always check doors to make sure they are locked, and learn the habits of your neighbors....are you a night owl or a night stalker!!!? Hmmm.... While on the subject of serial killers, the guys debate the likelihood of being kidnapped if you are.................for lack of better a word, fat. While Coach defends his larger peeps, CJ hits us with some info about gangs known for looking for “thicker” targets. It seems like spooky season is upon us and Coach Kev reveals he actually has a interest in listening to True Crime podcasts, and tells the guys about how some serial killers use coercion to dominate their vics. Feeling creeped out yet?! But of course, what’s a chop up session without talking about relationship stuff? Today we mention the “Friend zone for women,” and Jay originally thinks the ladies are more apt to end up in the “Just sex zone.” But a strong opinion leads to a shift in thought as Coach Kev tries to use logical to tie the playing field and show men and women alike face a lot of the same struggles because of the impact of the hook up culture mentality. But what’s the point of a podcast if we’re just gonna type it all out here!? This ain’t no audiobook. Grab your headphones and let’s get rocking!

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Question: have you ever been talking to your friends and one of them leans in real calmly and asks, “So...y’all put sugar on your strawberries?” Well apparently that’s what happens when the crew gets together for another chop up session adventure. Things kick off when CJ somehow manages to end up in a stranger’s house for sugared strawberries, mentorship, and advice. How?! Guess you gotta tune in and see! While we are on the subject of marriage counseling...the guys ponder the idea of “why marriage counseling BEFORE counseling is needed? Here CJ shares his dream to do marriage right. Coach Kev then mans the boards and helps listeners learn how “listening to your gut will help you avoid chunky butt.” From here Coach goes off on his son for something he hasn’t even done yet, all thanks to Jacob and his teacher. After we put the chit to the chat, Jerry asks questions about the Man side of the friend zone. Yeah...there’s always 3 sides to a story... His...hers...and the TRUTH! Come join the convo!!

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Guess who’s back!? Back again!? The rachet trio are reunited again full force and full...craziness. We truly do talk about life...love...and EVERYTHING in between this episode. Kicking things off, the guys are serenaded by Coach Kev as he reveals he low key wishes he was a singer. Straight up R&B singer...Dru Hill style. But Coach is honest enough to realize maybe his missed his calling... The artist formally known as Jerry then asks the guys what’s happened to 6ix9ine? Or was it sixty nine? After some clarification, the guys talk about “that street life” and if snitches indeed deserve to get stitches? This episode then quickly gets off the rails with the return of Dante! Did Coach Kev walk out on his massage session when he realized he would be receiving a full body from a dude named Dante!? This hilarious story is capped off with an interesting conversation from the fellas discussing the comedian effect - and different levels of your gift. Just because you’re good at something, does it mean it’s your gift? The guys then close out the podcast with as taste of the “Late night Chop Up.” An interesting debate kicks off...and once you listen, you might want to read this article here.

In this day and age of “business,” everybody seems to have an interest in making it big, or better yet...making MONEY. But in the quest for dollars, have we lost all of our sense? This is the foundation for today’s Chop Up Session with Jerry...aka Jerry Buffett...aka the light skinned Rick Ross and the man formerly known as “Coco” Coach Kev. The fellas only have 40 minutes to chat, and they waste no time putting the nitty to the gritty. It all kicks off when Kev is asked to breakdown the idea of a target audience and the purpose to sending invites to like brands on Facebook. This is met with Coach’s subtle art of not giving a fuck. We get up close and personal insight on why Coach Kev decided to put his aspirations of being the number 1 speaker on ice. “ I quit the speaking game because people were focused on filling seats, and not filling hearts.” Coach then takes the gloves off and hits us with a podcast uppercut, challenging EVERYBODY including himself to invest, commit, support, and cultivate RELATIONSHIPS. Matter of fact, instead of reading...just hit the play button and come join the convo!!!

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

The not so dynamic duo are back at it again....x2. Yeah that’s right, Jerry and Coach Kev had a whole other podcast recorded up and ready for the press.... Until Coach Kev forgot to press his mic all the way in. So instead of the amazing information and funny jokes, it was just a bunch of noise and nonsense. Luckily, Kev didn’t TOTALLY fail at quality control, and the guys linked up for an impromptu Chop Up Session! Out the gate, while Kev quenches his thirst, he ponders the idea of being “thirsty.”  Is it wrong? Is it bad? Or is it natural? While Jerry thinks about this...he then tries to juggle the idea of being thirsty vs being whipped. But this leads to another question...is being whipped in a relationship inherently “bad?” Of course when talking about relationships we gotta discuss trust. Trust fails tend to be the place most people miss the mark in relationships. So when it comes to trust...what’s the line? Hugs and happy hours....can you trust your significant other? As the guys wrap up the chop up, Kev hits us with the question of the day that involves the Chronicles of Dante.... Is it wrong for a man to be uncomfortable getting a Swedish massage from another man? Y’all tune in and join the Chop Up!!!

Can you guess what the resident wild child will be doing this year to celebrate? Bro and Coach start diving in on a few deep cuts, most notably a chat about Jerry’s year so far...and how he turned around what he believed was a “rough start.” During this time Jerry waxes deep and talks at length about childhood struggles, accepting your imperfections, and most importantly self love. “Look at your life. Love your life,” Jerry encourages all the podcast listeners. After the deep cuts, the fellas then get random and talk about everything from: - Tony Robbins vs Jay Z - Does Diddy have the ultimate swag - Relationship commitment...what’s that look like - The ex trend - Zero tolerance for drama - The adventures of Captain Save-a-Hoe and Mr. Change-A-Hoe - Is cat fishing bad??????? Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

This is usually where we breakdown this week’s episode with funny analogies, interesting quips, and hilarious nicknames. But not today. NOT..TO..DAY. Today we’re kicking it off with a question: When someone sees greatness in you, do you embrace it, face it, or replace it? Let us say that again, maybe it didn’t sink in... When someone sees your potential and pushes you in that direction, do you welcome it with open arms, or find creative ways to resist the assist? That’s it. That’s the meat and potatoes of today’s chop up session. Coach Kev comes out of retirement to challenge Jerry on the concept of being “held to your greatness.” It’s an interesting topic because of course, most of us find ways to resist the push. That’s where arguing for your limitations keeps you with shitty friends and a long list of regrets. So what will you do? Are you gonna keep the right people around you that hold you accountable for your greatness? Or...are you gonna hang out with people who only accept you at average at best? While you think about that, you can also join us for the randomness ridiculousness that happens every week. Between an impromptu beauty session from the pretty boys on the podcast, to discussing the definition of SILENCE, all the way to Coach Kev revealing his beef with Gary V, we jump right into the real essence of BWA this episode. Grab your napkins, clean your fingers of the chicken grease, and press play on this installment...of the BWA Chop Up Session, especially if you’re hungry for debate. Straight out the gate, Jerry tries to play “coy,” and refuse to tell the listeners details in his life. Not one to sit silent, our resident in-house filibuster Coach Kev jumps in and demands details. Details or no details, that’s the question! Sliding into What’s Happeninnn...the guys join the topic of the week: who is truly the King of the Chicken Sandwich - Chick-fil-A vs Popeyes? Coach Kev thinks Chick-fil-A has an ok sandwich, but Popeyes got them smacking sammiches!!! But when it’s debate time, sir William CJ won’t just sit quietly, and demands that consistency is the key to being the champion on anything. The smooth one and Jerry think consistency combined with good chicken “fill-it’s” take the cake. “At some point, doing the same thing over and over gets old,” adds Coach Kev. Coach thinks more diversity (in everything...including the boom boom room) keeps...them...coming. Whoa whoa now ya lil hot girl summer freaks, we are talking about macaroni! Coach thinks the addition of mac and cheese is always the way to please. After a little business chit chat and some random credit card pointers, the guys start reminiscing about a business trip to Atlanta, where Coach Kev was quite the desired chocolate drop. Kev then tells the guys that he would accept a compliment from another man, and another debate ensures. Maybe y’all can give us an answer...can getting hit on by the opposite sex vs getting hit on by the same sex be handled the same way? From here the guys manage to get Coach Kev to dive DEEEEEP into Coaching mode. About what exactly....wellllll you just gonna have to keep listening to find out! Just know that here at BWA, you’ll always get hot topics, hot takes, good energy, and apparently great restaurant recommendations! Lol LET’S GET IT!

Yo yo yo yoooo....are y’all ready for another episode full of chit chat and “booty chatter?” Yup. You read that right, the crew has assembled once again for the weekly Chop Up Session, but the build up of Coach Kev’s anger over the last few weeks finally reaches a boiling point. As any facilitator should do...Jerry decides this is the best time to play the devils advocate.  After a seemingly motivating phone call from big bro, Coach Kev is in straight hype mode. Jerry ponders why people we have in our lives can or can not motivate us, and Kev uses this as a chance to speak out about his frustrations with people who don’t appreciate help in their everyday life, but listen like “groupies” to industry leaders. Jerry disagrees...sort of...and thinks that sometimes it’s just a lot going on for people to appreciate the advice. He then tries to put CJ in the middle of the debate, but CJ pulls his “Sweden” card and stays neutral. Coach Kev jumps back in and declares “people listen all the time, but they ain’t hearing me....so I’m off it,” and abruptly retires. Jerry then pushes for a breakdown of “Listen vs hearing.” While the debate rages on, Coach Kev breaks down the idea behind “informational” vs “emotional” circuit breakers in our lives, and how the wrong surge of energy can throw us off or “break” our circuit. There’s a lot more that comes from the debate, but you gotta press play to hear how this is all resolved! The guys also put the chit to the chat about the new iPhone, the benefits of wearing “smart underwear,” and slide into production mode and give an impromptu review of “Hobbs and Shaw.” Sit back and tune in y’all! Because according to Coach Kev...he’s retiring, moving to Hawaii, and selling drinks. Aloha my people! Let’s get to it.

Coach Kev is actually the first person that I ever attempted to do an interview with over two years ago before I even owned any equipment. He recorded it on his iPad, but much to our disappointment, it ended up dying at some point during the interview. So here we are again doing it for real this time.  Coach is one of the realest dudes I’ve ever come into contact with. “Real” gets thrown around a lot, but when I say that, I mean he is radically true to his mentality, approach to life and training. That’s not to say he’s not open minded, but if you don’t like what he says, what he does or why he does it, he just knows that he’s not the right person for you.   He’s also dealt with more adversity than a lot of people I know, but still manages to live in gratitude no matter the hand he is dealt.  Coach was born in Kingston, Jamaica and possesses the skill and eye of a fine artist as well as the experience of a former athlete in track and field and football. He possesses over 30 years of experience in training professional athletes, collegiate athletes, youth athletes and those dedicated to optimal health and longevity. He has cultivated a unique philosophy around training which he calls “The WAY Method.”  We actually don’t discuss a whole lot of fitness and training, but that’s alright because there’s still a ton of substance in this interview and I can promise you that this won’t be his last time on the show.   Connect with Coach Kevin:   Instagram @thecorefacility   Twitter @thecorefacility   Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thecorefacility/   Website thecorefacility.com   Connect with Brock:   Instagram @brockrichard_   Twitter @BrockRich   Facebook https://www.facebook.com/brock.richard.56

Random Jay, silent but deadly CJ, and the petty master Coach Kev are here once again to kick in your speakers with another episode! Things start out....sleepy....as the guys wake up for an early morning recording session. This is Jerry’s chance to educate the listeners about his ideas on the necessity of sleep. Somehow, the guys end up talking about Jingles. Yes...jingles. You know, “Stanley steeeamers your certified cleaners!!!!” Random? Yes, but that’s what happens at the BWA Chop Up Session. Speaking of What’s Happeninnnn.... Jerry decides to forgo the trending topics and ask the fellas if they would “rent a friend.” Coach Kev then debates the value in “renting” anything. This turns into an interesting hot take on what it means to get REAL value out of life. Pause. (We just want y’all to know this is where Coach Kev goes off. He does it damn near every podcast. This time his targets are lazy people. If you are lazy, easily get your feelings hurt, and can’t handle real talk...you might wanna skip this episode) In the mix of Coach Kev going off, randomly debating CJ, and calling out Jay...the guys also talk about: - Parents who hold their kids back - Comforting a child in the moment...vs the long game investment in their maturity. - Watching baby’s eat from...the teet. - When having an “opinion” is just an excuse? Of course we gotta leave the episode with some spice...and this week we talk about arguments during the Q and A with BWA. Did you know CJ almost had a fight with Wiz Khalifa? You heard the story about Jerry enjoying “appetizers” at Applebee’s? Can a laugh trigger Coach Kev into a whole argument!??? Find out the answer to these things and more when you come kick it with us this week on the BWA Chop Up Session!  And no....that was not a typo in the title y’all. Somebody apparently has “gert”.

Aloha! Buenos Dias! Bonjour! Ciao! Or as we say here at BWA.. What’s happeninggggg!!!! On today’s episode we kick it off with a peculiar question from Jerry...”do you guys ever turn off your Alexa, because they are always listening?” Apparently this doesn’t faze Coach Kev, and he reminds the the FBI “it can be whatever,” (even if there’s a little bumping to the grinding in the background). But this sparks our resident computer expert Cj to express his....caution....with the reach of big brother level on the web. Another question kicked up this week is about PDA. You know...Public displays of Affection. We all know a kiss here and there is fine, but what’s the line? Apparently some of the members of the BWA crew believe grabbing handfuls of thigh meat in public...even in the church house...is acceptable. While the guys try to rationalize double tapping the thighs and cheeks at church, Coach Kev then asks about the other kind of PDA...public displays of arguments. Would you believe as open as these fools are, they keep their disagreements in the privacy of their own home? Amidst the chat...feeling the need to clarify some statements made last week by Coach Kev, CJ then speaks up and proclaims that the new Lion King movie is a 10 out of 10. So much that he even sings it’s praises...literally. What happens after this? Coach Kev argues....of course. Apparently he thinks it’s just one long overhyped documentary. Where do you stand? After a few more conversations about random things, the guys jump into the Topic of the Day, with Jerry inquiring about Kev’s incessant hunger to sharpen his mind. Grab your pens because Coach goes in for the long haul at this point...passionately encouraging people to stretch their minds and embrace the beauty in failing forward. To leave the BWA peeps with the true BWA experience, we give you all a quick sample from the Q and A with BWA segment, where Jerry expresses his ZERO TOLERANCE policy on cheating. Another day, another podcast episode, another chance to rock with the one brand bold enough to tackle any topic in life, love, and everything in between. Sit back, turn up the volume, and let’s get it.

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Old angry men, a grumpy Jerry, a ratchet car, the lawn guys, and a sweet sweet honey bun couldn’t keep us from this week’s Chop Up Sesssssiiioooooon. We kick things off when Coach Kev reveals that he almost....got in a skirmish. Engaged in fisticuffs. Got challenged to a duel by an old man. Like, for real. Why? Because of a honey bun. After the Honey Bun fiasco, we dive into What’s Happeninnnn, and find out that T-Mobile and Sprint are joining forces, which leads to CJ breaking down the concept of “dropped calls” and how it actually works. Then we stumble upon a proposal rejection video seen by Jerry from a guy he dubs “Kevin On Stage.” (Shoutout to Kev-On-Stage). This launches us into a multilayered debate about relationships on the cusp of engagements, and how trust and communication SHOULD BE ESTABLISHED. If I don’t trust you...we can’t get married?  Girls saying no for proposals a good thing? The instinctual feeling about marriage....when you know, you just know???? If you’re curious about our answers, stay tuned. After Coach Kev reveals what “oneitis” means and how it could lead to dumb decisions like trying to propose to a girl who isn’t the one, we dive into the topic of the day where Jerry asks why people talk about “it,” but they will never “be about it.” It’s at this moment that Kev. Goes. Off. On seemingly everybody. Sounds like he’s really tired of being asked to help people who don’t want to help themselves. Whether it’s a coworker who is “trying” to find a new job, a person “trying” to do better in their relationship, a friend “trying” to spend more time with their friends...Coach Kev is done with the trying. Are you? If so...hit that play button and chime in....

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

The ratchet Coach Kev is BACK to his random antics as he takes over the BWA Chop up session intro, kicking off this episode with some great energy. It’s gonna be necessary, because this week the fellas dive further into the deep end of relationships...where Coach joins Jerry in ruffling a few feathers by venting his frustrations with dating overprotective pet owners. Yeah...y’all gotta hear this one. All we gotta say is guard your chopped beef sandwiches around renegade puppies. But before we head that direction, the guys hear a rumor that SOMEBODY on the podcast crew (CJ) got a promotion...so an impromptu press conference is held where we are able to get a few minutes with the smoothest detective this side of the Mississippi.... Det. Dub F. Weathersby.... aka “just the facts ma’am” aka “I found fingerprints on the phone charger” aka “those texts messages weren’t deleted, they were just hidden from plain sight.” Watch out Mike Lowery, we got a new cool guy in town! But of course, all jokes aside...the guys are proud of CJ, and ask him a few questions about his profession and his goal of combining his passion for computer forensics and crime fighting. By this point, Jerry jumps back in the facilitator seat to chime in on “What’s Happening.” After we get a chuckle out of Floyd Mayweather’s first documented L, Coach Kev wastes no time stirring up the controversy with his proclamation that “Lion King ain’t a good movie. And I guess I’m just not a fan of talking animal movies.” (Yes, he REALLY said that about THE Lion King). As if THAT wasn’t enough to piss off his fan base...Coach Kev then shares his sporadic thoughts about Pet Owners, and his past struggles from competing with puppies for affection. Realizing that all this is related to relationship mastery, the guys ponder how to navigate dating when stepping into pre-established familial relationships. Finally we pick back up on the topic of the day, where the newly dubbed “Horn dog Jerry” stirs up some interesting relationship questions such as: Can your significant other “drift” through your phone? Does trust relieve tensions if it goes both ways? What’s the gateway to controlling behavior? Do you need to tell your significant other about everybody that gives you flirty attention? There’s much much more in this week’s chop up session, so kick back and join the debate. Between renegade puppies, checking out other people while in relationships, and liking pictures while Instagram creeping, we are pretty sure you’ll want to add to the conversation! Don’t hesitate to hit us up @bwacoaching to throw in your two cents!

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Grab your floaties, the guys are diving straight into the deep end of wild this week! Things kick off with the curious question of water beds. Remember those!? Whatever happened to those big puddles of comfort?    From here we learn about Lil Wayne’s latest antics in the “What’s Happening” segment. We hear that Mr. Little Wayne was in an uproar and stormed off stage. Was he right in leaving...since he is the self-proclaimed “greatest rapper alive?”   The guys then discuss the idea of “not caring” as a branding movement, which a lot of rappers try to emulate. This brings us to discussion about rap's newest bad boy on the block......the dangerous DaBaby. If a man can beat you up in a mall and kill a man in Walmart...is he the toughest guy around, or just asking for trouble?   Jerry then takes time to ask Coach Kev about his NBA man crush...Kawhi Leonard, aka the Thanos of basketball. Somehow we end up with a peculiar question: if you had a chance to pick between the NBA vs NFL, what’s your flavor?    And to not cheat our listeners out of a good topic of the day...we talk about just that. CHEATING.    Once a cheater always cheatin?  Is cheating the problem, or a symptom of the problem?  What is cheating? Why do people cheat? Things start to get off the rails as we discuss the idea of “Starving for attention = cheating.”  And just so you all are forewarned, somewhere along the way.....Jerry demands freshly presented love muffins and proclaims his distain for the disrespect of sex funk...but Coach Kev passionately disagrees.    Wondering what the hell we are talking about? Then quit reading and hit that play button bucko!!!!

Is it just us ooooor....are you also in the mood for tacos? Well, whatever the case may be, we got plenty of food for thought in this episode! Things kick off with a decent amount of chit chat around the most random topics, all spurred from the debate about Mother Nature wilding out lately. After Jerry reveals his low key passion for Earth conversation, the guys then bring up the recent Blue Bell ice cream controversy. While the fellas are saved and working on being upstanding citizens, they threaten to fight ANYBODY over desecrating Blue Bell. When does the clout chasing culture stop!? With the realization that human beings truly are “nasty,” the life coach formerly known as Kev then wonders what’s more disgusting....shaking an unwashed hand vs hugging a sweaty somebody? Before we dive into the topic of the day, the guys then talk about the recent “Not My Ariel” debate and get Coach Kev....I mean Kevin....a bit rowdy. “If you don’t like it...go create something yourself!” We then have a chance to dive into the topic of the day, centered around the idea of giving your all to situations you have the OPPORTUNITY to experience, even if those situations aren’t ideal or expected. Usually it’s in these times that people prefer to quit or leave, instead of double down and learn. Do you feel you are in environments or jobs where you think THE LEADERS can do better? Do you feel you don’t like the way things are run because of a bad company culture? Do you feel like your value is under appreciated? Well then Coach Kev challenges you to take what you define as “Value” and combine it with what is “useable” for others, and then ask YOURSELF, “am I value-able?” Sit down, pop in some headphones, and check out this episode Bucko....and stay tuned through the end to answer the question of the week: Best friends of the opposite sex....if your friend's significant other doesn’t like you, should you be deleted from all social media contact?

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to THE BWA chop up session. But before we dive into this week’s topics, it’s only right we give you a fair warning: Coach Kev has a whole attitude this episode. It’s a slow build, and it leads to Coach deciding to RETIRE!???! See what had happened was, things kick off to a...random start...with Jerry chatting about Ranch Flavored “pop tarts.” Maybe Coach Kev isn’t a fan of ranch. Maybe Coach Kev isn’t a fan of pop tarts. Either way...Coach threatens to fight CJ when Williams entertains the idea of “pop tarts dipped in ranch.” (Coach Kev trigger level = 3) Jerry then tries to appeal to his Texan side when CJ asks the guys their thoughts on the recent sale of the Whataburger franchise to a Chicago owner. While Jerry feels the burger conglomerate should have “stuck to its Texas roots,” Coach Kev quickly reminds the listeners that in the world of business “expansion” is the name of the game. He also reminds people that Whataburger's REAL competition is not In- N-Out but the infamous McDonalds. “Whataburger gotta get that bread cuz!” (Coach Kev trigger level = 2) At this point things get a little dicey as Jerry tries to proceed to a random ass thought, but Coach Kev intercedes abruptly, questioning Jerry about trending topics. It really seems Coach Kev is passionate about being up to date with what’s happening in pop culture, and even Jerry gets a dose of his spiciness. Coach then demands the listeners to check out Tyler Perry’s recent award reception speech on the BET music awards. (Coach Kev Trigger level = 5) As the podcast then proceeds to conversation about people not washing their hands, people’s struggle with decision making, and the constant habit of focusing on fear....Coach Kev’s trigger levels creep into the red zone. Convinced that people don’t understand the concept of extreme ownership, Kev proclaims “FUCK FEAR,” and suddenly retires. (Coach Kev trigger level = 10) Things turn into a vent session with Kev revealing that he is tired of amazing people choosing to be average. Coach Kev desires people who bring him solutions, not more problems. (By the way, this is about the point where the podcast reaches the rated R. At the 1 hour and 9 minute mark...Coach Kev is beyond triggered) If you can stand the heat, check out the episode. Maybe you’ll be inspired, or at the very least get a kick out of angry Coach! Quote of the day: “Everybody wants more, and better, and bigger...but most people aren’t willing to doing the work. I want to be around people who are so feverishly excited about being their true self and going after what they deserve...that I get excited and want to do better.”

Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Patience is a definitely a virtue on today’s episode of the BWA Chop Up Session, as the guys tackle the concept of staying patient and reaping the “fruits” of success. But of course, before all the educational quotes and hot takes are dropped, Jerry randomly asks the guys about.....sh*t water. Who knows why, maybe that’s why it’s called "off the ram" huh?! After the guys put the chit to the chat about the reverse osmosis and Jerry’s belief that processed water is dangerous, the guys shift to the process of success. Inspired by Tim Storey interview, Jerry presents the guys with the topic of the day. Time to grab a notepad, because Coach Kev (after taking a few minutes to patiently collect his thoughts) dives right in and breaks down the ideology of being fruitful. Often times we plow straight ahead to the rewards of success, and we don’t consider the process. It’s here that Kev challenges people to start at patience....AND WORK YOUR WORK. Feeling the simple proclamation of “work your work” isn’t enough, Coach Kev breaks it down and gives people the 5 P’s of patience: Process Practice Problems Practicality Professionalism Cj then inspires another “blackout” moment before the guys then take a sharp turn into the idea of “making money” vs “gaining wealth.” Coach Kev encourages listeners to look at building their success like legos, but the guys have to save the meat and potatoes of this topic for a later day! This week’s episode jam packed full of interesting tidbits and is definitely something you might want your teenagers to check out. And as CJ says...go check us out on all social media platforms. Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

We kick off this week’s chop up session with Coach Kev embodying his favorite Drake lyric: “Better late than never....even though never late is better. They say time is money, well let’s spend it together!” After sleeping through 3 alarms and 4 missed calls from the crew, Coach Kev finally shows up to get the podcast show on the move. It’s here that Coach Kev then explains the concept of being pardoned for lateness, and when being late can be considered OK, and almost acceptable. The guys then dive into the recent developments of The Golden State Curry’s vs The Toronto Drakes. Coach Kev reiterates his growing man crush for the NBA Finals MVP, and is determined to remind everybody that Kawhi Leonard always has the last laugh. The guys then ponder if Drake was an unneeded distraction, or did he earn his ring as the team’s 6th man? Things get a little Off the Ram when the guys then navigate the origin of......Dookie. Yup. Dookie. We can’t make this stuff up. Between dookie bombs, hot balls, and missed calls vs twitter activity, the guys finally end up at the topic of the day. This is where you might want to grab a pen and note pad, because the guys are dishing out the recipe for success. Literally. As always there’s a lot more to catch on the BWA......chop up session! Where we bring you LIFE, love.....andeverythinginbetween (in our Jerry voice). Tune in, join the debate, and go leave us a 5 star review on iTunes. Bold Without Apology Presents: The Chop Up Session Podcast

Looks like Jerry is cruising for a bruising on today’s episode of the B-W-A...Chop Up Sesssiiion. Coach Kev is on a wave of excitement after seeing several underdogs become triumphant during this weekend’s sporting events. After some classic chit-chat about their days terrorizing house parties by “Slap Boxing,” Coach Kev gives his blueprint to how he’d raise his son in the art of hand-to-hand combat. We also get a reminder of Cj “The Stoic Hulk” and the reason he doesn’t fight unless purely necessary. The conversation then shifts to the Andy Ruiz Jr’s beatdown of Anthony Joshua. Let’s call it what it is: Anthony Joshua ate them hands, and took a nap. He’s probably still sleep...TILL THIS DAY! Kawhi Leonard, Coach Kev’s current basketball crush, becomes he focus of conversation, and Coach goes off once again. Do y’all notice a pattern here? Looks like Coach thinks Kawhi Leonard’s thirst for development is the blueprint for greatness. Today’s topic of the day as presented by BWA revolves around the somewhat controversial topic of “The 9-5.” We often hear how many people are frustrated and believe their “day job”’is trash, but are they all bad? Do we just have bad perspectives of good opportunities? Should everybody give up day jobs and pursue entrepreneurship? Does working for someone else always equal loss of control of time, or does it teach us opportunity in the struggle? C’mon people, time to tune in...chat it up...and clap back in another installment of the chop up session! Don’t forget, we are still rocking our BWA ExecBrand gear to this DAY! Before we get into the meat and potatoes of today’s episode of the Chop Up Session, the gents discuss the now infamous court-side antics of Aubrey Graham...better know as Drake. As the conversation shifts, CJ’s notorious travel habits are called out, and he explains how “strategic planning” can help you hit the four corners of Texas as smoothly as he does. A bit of debate is struck up about the hype around wedding videos, and then the guys dive into the topic of the day. Warning: this is the part of the podcast where Coach Kev gets a bit passionate about the topic of internal locus of control. Feeling like there’s still some hesitation from people to embrace this mindset, Coach Kev pushes the conversation towards the topic of confidence, where CJ shares perspective on how positive, effective self talk shapes his success strategy. There’s a ton of insight in this week’s conversation, and of course we can’t give it all away here in the show notes! You gotta tune and and check out the rest of the convo...including: - What someone should do when they are worried about potential negative outcomes - Coach Kev’s INTENSE frustration with the “faking till you make it” culture - How raggedy beliefs become raggedy habits - ....and passion becoming the cure over everything. Another episode...another chop up session...another random debate between the fellas. This time the guys pontificate on the (quite nasty) idea of WASHING YOUR CHICKEN. Who’s side are you on? Are you a perpetual chicken washer?? Also included in today’s episode, Coach Kev calls for a showdown between Jerry and CJ to see who is the “Pretty Boy of Summer ‘19.” After the pretty boy debate is settled, Jerry has an...interesting...bone to pick with Coach Kev about his transition into fatherhood. From here, the big dawg explains why keeping his parental news low key was such an important part of his journey. “This is more than just likes on Instagram, this is my legacy.” As always, the guys talk about life, love, and everything in between! Join us as we chop it up about: - AirPods on the old town road. Did you catch the Old Town Road OFFICIAL video? - Washing chicken for the juiciest, nastiest meal of your life. Raise your hand if you’re risking your life for the chicken? - Pretty boy rock...who’s the pretty boy in the crew? (Spoiler Alert...Ha HAAAAAA) - Baby talk...what’s been the big reason Coach Kev is so protective of his time, energy, friendships, and mental space? Now if you’re impatient and just want to skip the appetizers and get right to the meat and potatoes, today’s topic centers around the idea of looking on the flip side...or the UP SIDE....of perspective. Essentially, who are you when life gets tough? Have you become so conditioned to expect success, you don’t know how to utilize and appreciate the other side of success, more traditionally referred to as “failure?” Thanks for joining in and rocking with the crew!
