Amit Goswami, Ph.D. Professor, researcher, bestselling author, Quantum Science Pioneer, spiritual practitioner. The best way to stop focusing and ruminating about narcissists in your life is to close your eyes and fall in love with the self. Ancient Persian Philosopher Rumi is an excellent example of how to break up with, let go of, divorce, and go no contact with narcissists in your life. In this lesson, you will learn what Rumi has to say about releasing narcissists from your life, and why doing so is terrifying yet brings emotional freedom at the same time. Healing from narcissistic abuse, requires that you release resistance to the pain manipulation, gaslighting, triangulation, smear campaigns and discard have created. Through radical self awareness, and acceptance, we discover the power of sacred wisdom as it pertains to choosing nonresistance. A narcissist will never follow you into solitude. When you embrace solitude, narcissists will run away because in solitude their masks fall. And that's why you must travel into the silence within. Codependency is akin to spiritual death. It implies you are living in denial of what is, and running from reality. The answer lies in climbing the ladder of the mind, from the subconscious to the higher conscious realms. Geopolitical Shifts The political landscape of 2025 promises dramatic shifts, with the inauguration of the 47th U.S. President, Donald Trump, in January. Domestically, his administration is an unknown quantity, but he is likely to pursue pardons for the January 6th rioters amongst other possible promises in his election campaign. Internationally, we anticipate he will alter U.S.-China relations, remove the US from some climate organisations, and Trump has already been a possible catalyst for the ceasefire in Gaza. What will happen in 2025 for Ukraine and the Middle East? Notably, there's cautious optimism about a time of rebuild and reconciliation after a ceasefire in Gaza and Israel, alongside predictions of a peace deal in Ukraine by May, aligning with the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's World War II victory. Europe, meanwhile, faces rising populist movements. Germany may see Friedrich Merz steering the nation to the right, while Austria's Freedom Party forms a far-right government, the first since World War II. France continues to grapple with political gridlock, and tensions simmer in the Balkans, Moldova, and Nagorno-Karabakh. However, there are bright spots, such as Bulgaria's adoption of the euro and Romania's upcoming presidential election. Technological Breakthroughs 2025 is officially the UN's Year of Quantum Science and Technology, heralding advancements in AI, robotics, and space exploration. Companies are pouring over $1 trillion into data centers to harness AI's potential, though adoption rates remain tentative. Tesla's humanoid robots are expected to debut in factories, with predictions of increasingly autonomous machines capable of household chores like tidying and loading dishwashers. Eastern Europe continues to lead in cybersecurity and dual-use technologies, while China drives a global clean tech boom with solar panels, batteries, and electric vehicles. Luxembourg's space sector stands out, with the University of Luxembourg having launched its first satellite, POQUITO, on January 14. Tyndall National Institute, based at University College Cork, welcomes a cutting-edge quantum light source as part of QuanTour, a groundbreaking European science outreach project. This unique project, which is in anticipation of the UNESCO International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025, aims to inspire the public and shed light on the future of quantum communication. The QuanTour initiative will see the specially built quantum light source travel to 12 leading research laboratories across Europe, highlighting the groundbreaking research in quantum physics. Tyndall will serve as the Irish host, joining institutions from Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Poland. Tyndall (and its QCEC Centre for Quantum Computer Engineering) is at the forefront of quantum research, working on cutting-edge projects in quantum communication, quantum computing, and quantum sensing. These new technologies have the potential to revolutionise fields such as data security, computing power, and precise measurement techniques. Tyndall's participation in this international project highlights its strong position in the global scientific community, supporting its reputation as a key player in quantum technologies. One way to address these challenges is to utilise semiconductor quantum dots to create individual particles of light, known as photons, together with other exotic states of light, such as entangled photons. The QuanTour project illustrates the critical role quantum communication will play in securing future global data networks. Today's fibre-optic communications, which connect cities and countries, rely on traditional data transmission methods. However, the future lies in quantum communication, which uses photons to transmit information securely based on the principles of quantum physics. The QuanTour project also underlines the relevance of exploiting single photonic technologies for achieving computational advantage with quantum computers over traditional computation with classical chips. A high-intensity source of identical photons is key to achieve that. Dr. Emanuele Pelucchi, Head of Epitaxy and Physics of Nanostructures at Tyndall, said: "I am proud of being part of this initiative, which also importantly and playfully symbolically marks 100 years of "quantum".
