Megyn Kelly is joined by Batya Ungar Sargon, The Free Press columnist, to discuss the breaking news of Letitia James being accused of multiple instances of mortgage fraud, the hypocrisy of how she handled the Trump case, the overall failure of the lawfare efforts against Trump, Democratic Senators lying on social media about the Abrego Garcia case, Maryland's Senator actually performatively flying to El Salvador over it, how the corporate media is framing him as just a nice Maryland dad, Obama jumping in to support Harvard in its fight with the Trump administration, why Trump is pushing for fairness for and against extremism on college campuses, how the reputation of Ivy League degrees has completely eroded, fake female “astronauts” Lauren Sanchez, Katy Perry, and Gayle King mocked for their ridiculous mission, their out-of-touch perspective praising themselves, even left-wing celebs critiquing them for how it looks, and more. Then attorney Stacey Evans joins to discuss her client, a doctor, who sued NBC News for defamation after calling him a “uterus collector” over supposed hysterectomies of detained illegal immigrants, the truth about the story that even some at NBC knew behind-the-scenes, why they were able to settle based on what was found in discovery over, how the lawyer is a Democratic politician and was disappointed that she had to sue MSNBC but had to do what was right and fair, how discovery showed MSNBC knew that the story about a Georgia doctor being called a “uterus collector” had major red flags and might be false, how they aired it anyway because it appears it was helpful politically to the left, and more.Ungar-Sargon- https://www.amazon.com/Second-Class-Betrayed-Americas-Working/dp/1641773618Evans- https://www.staceyevanslaw.com/ Tax Network USA: Call 1-800-958-1000 or visit https://TNUSA.com/MEGYN to speak with a strategist for FREE todaySelect Quote: Get the right life insurance for YOU, for LESS at https://www.SelectQuote.com/MEGYNARMRA: go to https://tryarmra.com/MEGYN to get 15% offDone with Debt: https://www.DoneWithDebt.com & tell them Megyn sent you!Follow The Megyn Kelly Show on all social platforms:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/MegynKellyTwitter: http://Twitter.com/MegynKellyShowInstagram: http://Instagram.com/MegynKellyShowFacebook: http://Facebook.com/MegynKellyShow Find out more information at: https://www.devilmaycaremedia.com/megynkellyshow
The Central Park 5, now known more accurately as The Exonerated 5, brought a defamation lawsuit against Donald Trump for stating during a presidential debate that the five men had "pled guilty", had "badly hurt someone" and had "killed someone", in connection with crimes that had been committed in Central Park in New York City. All three of Trump's assertion were untrue. Trump filed a motion to dismiss the defamation case, and a federal judge denied that motion to dismiss (with the exception of one of the counts, which the judge gave the plaintiffs leeway to correct and refile). How often have you felt voice-less and silenced as a survivor of coercive control and domestic violence?Survivors are voice-less when living in the relationship with their abuser. They also often do not get a chance to speak their truth in family court or within any other larger systems either. And so when you are in a place where you want to be heard and decide to make things more public, it is possible that your abuser will do anything and everything to silence you again. This is what happened to my guest, Lorraine Marshall. She received defamation charges against her after writing her book titled, “Post Separation Abuse. Betrayal and Abandonment. What Type Of Man?”So, if you have ever been in a place where you want to be an advocate for other survivors by writing a book or having a podcast or Youtube channel you will need to learn how to protect yourself just in case. Lorraine Marshall shares her story of abuse, how she was silenced, and how she was able to beat the charges filed against her. Loraine Marshall is a self-published author and survivor of hidden emotional abuse that was revealed to her post-separation. If money was not a concern, I would buy a home and run a retreat to help women in recovery from trauma after any of the three Ds in relationship endings.Connect with Loraine:Book - Post Separation Abuse. In this episode of Litigation Nation, co-hosts Danessa Watkins and Jack Sanker return from a brief hiatus to delve into two significant legal topics making headlines: recent tariffs imposed by the Trump administration and a high-profile defamation lawsuit involving music industry giants Drake and Kendrick Lamar. We kick off the episode with Jack discussing the newly announced tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, which are set to take effect on March 12, 2025. He explains the implications of these tariffs, including a substantial increase from 10% to 25%, and how they will affect various industries, particularly construction. Jack highlights the statutory powers granted to the president by Congress, specifically referencing the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, which allows for such tariff increases under the guise of national security. He emphasizes the potential consequences for businesses reliant on international imports, including price hikes and shortages, and discusses the lack of existing contractual provisions to address these sudden changes in material costs. For the latest on International Trade, Amundsen Davis's Ngosong Fonkem has multiple legal write-ups that can be read on www.amundsendavislaw.com.Transitioning to the second segment, Danessa takes the reins to cover the ongoing defamation lawsuit filed by Drake against UMG Recordings, Inc. The lawsuit stems from a heated feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, which escalated into a series of diss tracks and public accusations. Danessa outlines the timeline of events leading to the lawsuit, including violent incidents that occurred at Drake's home, which he attributes to the fallout from the feud and UMG's actions in promoting Kendrick's diss track, "Not Like Us."The hosts analyze the unique nature of the lawsuit, noting that Drake has chosen to sue the record label rather than Kendrick himself. Danessa discusses the creative and visually engaging nature of Drake's complaint, which includes graphic elements and a dramatic introduction detailing the threats to his safety. The episode explores the legal complexities of defamation, particularly the requirement for public figures like Drake to prove actual malice on the part of UMG.Danessa and Jack emphasize the importance of understanding the legal ramifications of both the tariff situation and the defamation lawsuit, encouraging listeners to stay informed about these evolving issues. They remind the audience to consult legal professionals for guidance in navigating these complex matters, particularly those in the construction industry facing the fallout from the new tariffs.

The judge in the TikTok Psychic Defamation Case denied her Motion to Alter or Amend Judgement. The judge said that the Summary Judgement against her was fair and will move forward with a hearing to asses damages.Another option is to come to an agreed settlement with the professor. I'll continue to monitor movements on this case. The judge has been incredibly patient and the plaintiff deserves to be remedied for the false accusations that caused an online campaign of hate against them. AP's Lisa Dwyer reports that Rudy Giuliani has turned over his luxury items in defamation case.
Rudy Giuliani has been playing games in his attempt to avoid turning over his assets and property to the two Georgia state election workers, Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman, a jury said he defamed, and ordered him to pay $146 million in damages. The federal judge overseeing enforcement of the money judgement, Judge Lewis Liman, has told Giuliani and his lawyers that their arguments as to why Giuliani has failed to comply with the court's order to give over his assets are "farcical." Judge Liman told Giuliani to give over the assets or be held in contempt of court. Cup of Justice Co-hosts Mandy Matney, Liz Farrell and Eric Bland — have returned to their respective studios for the latest episode of Cup of Justice in which there was A LOT to talk about. Over the past few weeks there have been several court filings, including in Alex Murdaugh's murder conviction appeal. Dick Harpootlian suddenly has love for more sunlight in this case and is advocating for the South Carolina Supreme Court to unseal SLED's investigation into Juror 785 … you know, the Egg Lady juror, who was dismissed from Alex's jury WITHOUT objection from Dick. It's not clear what Team Murdaugh wants the public to see, but we're sure it's more distraction and nonsense. Filings in Buster Murdaugh's defamation case accuse Buster and his attorney of misrepresenting the words of a Hampton County reporter in a Netflix documentary that aired last year. As the big name production companies fight to move Buster's case to federal court, Buster's team has promised to push back. Also on the show, the P Diddy case spotlights a hard truth: People knew bad things were happening, making bystanders nothing more than accomplices. It's not Nancy Pelosi or Barack Hussein Obama or Susan Rice or any of those people. In a post-coup America, the fakery is breathtaking. What does God's Word say? Proverbs 29:2 NIV When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.Jeremiah 23:1-4 NIV “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the shepherds who care for my people: “You have scattered my flock and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the Lord. Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply. I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the Lord.Episode Links:Biden committed ‘impeachable conduct,' ‘defrauded United States to enrich his family': House GOP report; House Oversight, Judiciary, Ways and Means committees have led impeachment inquiry against BidenDemocrats Broke the Law by Pushing Joe Biden Out of the Race; If we apply Special Counsel Jack Smith's interpretation of the "conspiracy against rights" statue included in the DOJ's J6 indictment of Donald Trump, Biden and the Democrats have committed a crime.CNN Losses Another Motion in Defamation Case as Court Orders Tapper to AppearReport: FBI Cleaned Up Biological Evidence from Trump Rally Crime Scene in 1 Day – Something Unheard Of; The whole situation just got more suspicious.NEW: Recently discovered video from Jan 6 shows an individual believed to be police carrying a bag toward the location where "pipe bomb" was found at DNC. Former President Trump posted a nearly $92 million bond after a federal judge ordered him to pay E. Jean Carroll $83.3 million in damages for his defamatory statements. The bond size is greater than the judgment because the district court generally requires a party to post 110% of the bond. Trump is appealing the judgment but also faces a March 25 deadline to put up another $454 million in the New York attorney general's civil fraud case. Andrew Weissman and Melissa Murray are the authors of the new book, "The Trump Indictments: The Historic Charging Documents with Commentary.” They join AC360 to discuss their new book on the four criminal indictments the former president is facing. Plus, some angry Israelis are trying to stop humanitarian aid from getting into Gaza. CNN Chief International Correspondent Clarissa Ward visited Kerem Shalom, Israel's sole functioning border crossing with Gaza. She tells Anderson Cooper who the protesters are and why they are trying to disrupt the critical aid convoys. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann won a defamation lawsuit against two conservative writers last week. The verdict was 12 years in the making. In 2012 writers Rand Simberg and Mark Steyn accused Mann of manipulating his data related to his famous 1998 “hockey stick” graph, which depicts rising global temperatures after the industrial revolution. Simberg compared him to former Penn State football coach and convicted child sex abuser Jerry Sandusky in a blog post for a libertarian think tank. Steyn later referenced Simberg's article in a National Review piece, calling Mann's work “fraudulent.”Reviews by Penn State (Mann's home institution at the time) and the National Science Foundation, found no scientific wrongdoing. And in fact the iconic graph has since been supported by numerous studies. What does this ruling signal about the public's understanding of climate change research? And the limitations of free speech?Ira talks with Dr. Michael Mann, professor of Earth & environmental science at the University of Pennsylvania and author of Our Fragile Moment: How Lessons from Earth's Past Can Help Us Survive the Climate Crisis.Transcripts for each segment will be available after the show airs on sciencefriday.com.
