As the 2nd of 15 children who grew up in a family of sharecroppers under segregation, lost a promising career in the air force due to alcohol, and lived homeless in Colorado, Frank Sinclair understands struggle. Thankfully his story didn't end there. In fact, these painful experiences led Frank to both his success and his purpose. Only weeks after being homeless, Frank became a brilliant executive in the corporate, then a successful entrepreneur all while raising 3 children who would become C-Suite executives in their own right.   About the Guest: Frank Sinclair is the Chief Encouragement Officer for Dream Again LLC, a coaching, keynote speaking, and training enterprise. The Chelsea FanCast looks back, season by season, to 50 Years of Chelsea history from 1970 to the present day.Stamford Chidge is joined by Jonathan Kydd and Dan Silver to look back at the 1990-91 season.Chelsea supporters went in to the 1990-91 season buoyed by the record signings of Denis Wise and Andy Townsend. Ken Bates appeared to showing some ambition.But the campaign never got going and Chelsea finished a disappointing 10th place, an early exit in round 3 of the FA Cup and a League Cup semi-final defeat to old rivals Sheffield Wednesday.As has always been the case with Chelsea and glorious unpredictability they did inflict the only defeat in the season on eventual champions Arsenal as well as doing the double over Man Utd and beating league runners up Liverpool 4-2 in the final home match of the season. They also beat Spurs at home and in the League Cup – nothing new about that though! Chelsea could live with the best but inconsistency was the issue. Loved the catch up with former footballer and ex teammate Frank Sinclair. Frank is a former Chelsea, Leicester City and Burnley defender. He also played for the Jamaica national team. Frank spoke candidly about his retirement process and how he transitioned away from football. Whilst playing Frank invested in a few buy-to-let properties which demonstrates how shrewd he was with his money. They finish this season in 5th place, their best finish since 1970, largely due to Kerry Dixon's 25 goals and Kevin Wilson's 20 goals but the defence had a big part to play too with Dave Beasant outstanding in goal ably assisted by Steve Clarke, Gareth Hall, Ken Monkou, Erland Johnsen and Tony Dorigo.Chelsea secured their second trophy in four years winning the Zenith Data Systems trophy at Wembley in a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough.
