Buon ascolto!per scrivermi: progettibuttini@gmail.com per seguirmi Ig elena_accorsibuttini per SOSTENERMI CON UNA DONAZIONE via PayPal progettibuttini@gmail.com o via kofi https://ko-fi.com/elenaaccorsibuttiniBibliografiahttp://www.madehow.com/Volume-3/Fake-Fur.htmlhttp://www.fureurope.eu/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/LCA_-final-report.pdfConsumers' Sustainable Clothing Habits and Perceptions on Microplastics Shedded from Clothing -Focused on Fleece and Faux Fur

Today on the podcast I have the latest eliminated queen from 'RuPaul's Drag Race: Down Under Series 2' - it is 'Faux Fur!' This week the entire queer media has fallen over themselves organising a chat with the queens that make up 'RuPaul's Drag Race: Down Under Series 2' - Which has debuted its first episode out on 'Stan Australia' now. Well , I am inline baby and rightfully so - the show has been an international celebration of queer and diverse themes that simply wasn't around when I grew up. So I commend everyone for embracing this revolution. What 'RuPaul' has brought to global stage is nothing short of amazing and it has been phenomenal to see our entertainment reporters, journalist and podcasters all support this Australian version of the hit franchise. Sadly I was sick last week and had to change my plans to at the launch but I have 'snapped out of it' and am ready to bring you the tea from every eliminated queen each week. These episodes are short but certainly pack a punch - much like todays guest. 'Faux Fur' was loud and obnoxious but in drag world that is something to celebrate. So sit back and enjoy the chat and feel free to let me know what you think! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Dominic Dyer speaking at a PETA UK reception, where to quote PETA, “MPs had the opportunity to see and feel the world's first faux bear fur, a fabric that has been expertly created by luxury faux furrier ECOPEL to replace the bearskins used to make the Queen's Guard's caps” Dominic and I have discussed this issue in numerous podcasts before (eg Shortcast #53 Dominic Dyer | Bear Hats and Ben Wallace ), but essentially – exactly as that quote from PETA explains – the Ministry of Defence have been asked to replace the bearskin ‘caps' made from Canadian-slaughtered Black Bears worn by the Queen's Guards. The MoD came up with five ‘conditions' that needed to be met before they would even discuss replacing ‘tradition' with an animal-rights sourced faux-fur no matter how environmentally sound it is. Petition: Replace the real bearskins used for the Queen's Guard's caps with faux fur

In this New Year's Eve conversation, Jacob and Scott talk about the New Year, and specifically what intentions they hold going into 2022. They discuss remaining fluid as we try new things, not locking ourselves into habitual patterns unless of course, those patterns continue to work for us. They talk about trust, in ourselves, and in life in general, and how the deeper we are able to trust, the more courageous we become in our self-expression. And vice versa. The friends reflect on some listeners' submissions and invite everyone to enter the new year with an openness to more abundant self-love and the love of others as a guiding force in our lives. From Toko-Pa Turner's book, Belonging: Remembering Ourselves Home I believe we have more than enough creativity to solve the problems of our times, but we have to make a perilous trek into the wilderness within to reclaim it. There is a stand of undeveloped jungle within each of us, that can never be domesticated. It is a borderless land, beyond personality and convention, even beyond thought, where pure creativity arises. Like the signature song of a tropical bird, the spiraling of an arbutus tree, the evening scent of a jasmine bush, there is an essence in each of us intended to be expressed. Few make the trek into this creative wild because the path requires great vulnerability. To come into our true originality, we must surrender the layers of numbness we use to protect our hearts.

Nobody does vintage like Lisa Rinna's garage. I'm not mad at it. It's giving quality over quantity... That's how you keep your money honey. Keeping up with Crystal's booked and busy schedule, looks like she has the Rinna Beauty Launch happening at her abode, smart we like it. But hold up cue drama, Dorit is having a conniption, Garcelle is giving truth and showing the mess yet again and some can't handle it. Talk about mess Erika is cleaning? tramp stamp and all, she's getting all the nooks and crannies. Anyway Kyle's birthday is celebrated with some liberated rosé and faux fur, how darling! It is without remiss to say how small town of Sutton, but also Yolanda's name got dropped? For why? Was this really the point Erika knew of Tom's discretions. Yikes. Rinna's Launch goes off with a bang, but the Sutty Butty Buthole has loosened inhibitions, for which Dorit insists on a messy segue to her vegan beef with Garcelle, and is succinctly cleared as having no substance. Erika snaps a tude with Sutton and the Launch is over. We also see a heartfelt homecoming over a tv snack table between Kathy and Kyle. Ooof what an episode.

She had 26 animal-fur coats..and she sold them all to start a faux-fur brand! Follow House of Fluff: houseoffluff.com @hofnyc STAY IN TOUCH: Facebook.com/catwalkrebel Twitter.com/thecatwalkrebel Instagram.com/catwalkrebel thecatwalkrebel@gmail.com

We drank and mingled….and we podcasted! I took some time to chat with a few friends that I have mentioned in earlier podcasts as well as a couple of new friends. First, Mr. Saturday and I chat with Snarky and the Captain. They host swinger house parties during the warmer months. I had quite a solo adventure at a party they threw last June! Thanks guys! They tell us all about how they met each other and got into the lifestyle. As it turns out, Snarky was a UNICORN before she met the Captain. She had some interesting strategies for dealing with single men. The Captain was also a single in the lifestyle for a bit. Later I sneak away with Bubble and Wolfie and Mr. and Mrs. New York. You may remember Bubbles and Wolfie from a previous house party episode, and our New Years Eve episode. Mr. and Mrs. New York are new to the area and recently had their first experience with Bubble and Wolfie. The four have since become friends and spend a lot of time together. yay! I also get to spend some one on one time with Minka! We met at a party and she is smart and very sexy. She took the time to reach out to me to weigh in with her thoughts about single men in the lifestyle and we have a very interesting conversation about it. Please comment if you have anything to add. http://www.TheBrainyFox.com Happy Swinging!
What a crazy experience (in the BEST way)! Mr. Saturday and I were invited to host a pre-party hospitality suite at the Furry/Pajama theme Angel Entertainment hotel takeover. Everyone had SO much fun. We set up our room to have snacks and special gummy bear shots with places for people hang out and mingle. We passed out wrist bands from our Lifestyle Colors project so that people could show their sharing and seeking colors with other party-goers. People loved the idea and it was a marvelous ice breaker. At the end of an amazing evening (that involved quite a bit of drinking), Saturday and I got in the jacuzzi tub in our room and recorded our thoughts! We are clearly very tipsy and I initially thought about just discarding it, but it’s funny and we like to be authentic. We talk about the party in the room, the massive orgy in the playroom and all the dancing and debauchery that went down at the party. I recap the party again after the drunk tub segment so you can get a clearer picture of things. It was an awesome night and I’m looking forward to hosting again! Check back tomorrow for PART 2 of this episode where I interview some of our awesome SWINGER FRIENDS! You’ll hear from The Captain and Snarky, Bubbles and Wolfie, Mr. and Mrs. New York and Minka! Happy Swinging!

Hauptthema dieser Folge: Das Jingle! Oder heißt es Claim? Außerdem geht es um den Tod des Autors und viele Missverständnisse.

We recently calculated how many pattern collections we've published and were SHOCKED to discover that we've done over 130 books since we started this program. Each collection has come together after months of planning, designing, and knitting. Every time we get a new sample in the office or do a new call for submissions, we get excited about all the possibilities! To celebrate our new Gansey collection: Form and Function, Stacey and Hannah sit down together in the studio to really dig in to these new patterns and share the details that make each one unique. We've never done a Gansey focused collection and share some of the challenges and considerations that went in to the selection process. Alexis and Hillary also sit down to chat about our OTHER new news! We've been busy adding new colors to your favorite yarn lines, making new bulky needle sets and (drumroll please!) we're introducing a whole new faux fur yarn! As always, happy listening and happy crafting!

Think you know Billy Corgan? Think again. He and his partner, designer and founder of Maison Atia, Chloe Mendel, talk faux fur, animal activism and the Smashing Pumpkins reunion on Ep 22 of Awesome Vegans with Elysabeth Alfano. Unfathomably, between the two of them, they juggle living in NYC, Chicago and LA, a haute-couture fashion house, a rock band, two dogs, two cats and two babies! And yet, as you will hear, they are incredibly normal and laid back, with a very funny dynamic between the two of them. In fact, this interview is an EXCLUSIVE. It is their first interview together ever. Today’s episode was kind of hard to hear and make, if I’m being honest. Ma tells me about the time the Surete Du Quebec (provincial police) beat the shit out of her when she went to get some groceries for us, alone. It was high tension climate, post-blockade Quebec and I vividly remember going to bail her out wearing my faux silk pajamas and Warrior Flag bomber. It may make you angry, it sure fired up some things inside myself. So be warned, this story could be triggering, but if you stick around for the outtakes, Ma’s bestie June has a gooder.

In this episode I interview Anna Tagliabue from luxury faux fur company Pelush in New York. Originally from Milan, Italy, Anna moved to New York two decades ago and took a job working in the fur department at Fendi where she worked for the next eight years. When the brand launched a faux fur, Anna was captivated by it, but since it sold for a lot less than the animal furs and was popular with many customers, Fendi decided to no longer do faux fur. Anna bought the coat with a staff discount and began her search for high-end animal-free furs. After leaving Fendi, she worked for 13 years at Prada on Madison Avenue as a personal shopper for high-wealth women on Manhattan's upper east side – where her Pelush studio is currently based. Five years ago, with the help of her friend, Italian haute couture designer Antonio Grimaldi, she started to learn the other side of the fashion business, including how to order and who to meet, and two years ago she launched Pelush – which means ‘plush' in Italian – to create what she calls a ReFAUXlution. Since then, her spectacular coats – that look and feel like real fur – have been worn by Helen Mirren (complete with a Humane Society anti-fur pin), four-time Grammy-award-winning jazz musician and bassist Esperanza Spalding and opera star Diana Damrau. Anna's fashion shows, including the two she's held as part of New York Fashion Week, are akin to performance art pieces, featuring dramatic music and animal activists of all ages and backgrounds walking the runways. As well as showcasing her beautiful products, many of which include intricate hand-embroidered details, French lace and sparkling vintage glass, models carry placards with information and statistics that reveal the cruelty involved in the $40 billion fur industry. In this interview Anna talks about: • Why she chooses to make faux furs that look and feel like real fur • How she knows whether a material is made from animals or not • The challenges when she first started out of finding the right professionals to create the standard of product she required • How she got her coats onto celebrities (and Helen Mirren to wear an anti-fur pin to a movie premiere) • The importance of trunk shows, especially for new designers • And much more Visit the Pelush website Brands mentioned in vegan business news roundup: Modern Meadow Bolt Threads Forbes roundup article: Here's why you should turn your business vegan in 2018 RESOURCES: My Online PR Course for Vegan Business Owners & Entrepreneurs: Vegans in the Limelight My book Vegan Ventures: Start and Grow an Ethical Business Follow Vegan Business Media on: Facebook Twitter Instagram Connect with me personally at: Facebook Twitter LinkedIn
