"Neil Lazarus discusses the shocking twist in Israeli politics: Benjamin Netanyahu's request for a pardon. Why now? What's he afraid of? And what does this bombshell mean for Israel's future? Stay tuned; this is the episode everyone will be talking about."Netanyahu's desperate attempt to secure a 'Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Card' has exploded into a national crisis, with the world asking: Will This Single Request Save Netanyahu From Decades of Legal Battles? The BREAKING news that the Prime Minister officially Begs for Pardon to end his unprecedented corruption trial, despite maintaining his innocence, has led to critics calling the move a 'Deadly Blow to the Rule of Law' and a direct attempt to 'Bypass the Courts.'This Ultimate Escape Hatch has ignited a firestorm, forcing President Isaac Herzog into an UNBELIEVABLE political and constitutional standoff, will he grant the request, which the Prime Minister claims is a necessary step to promote national unity and end the trial that is 'tearing us apart from within,' or will he reject the plea, which his opponents insist must be conditioned on an admission of guilt, remorse, and an immediate retirement from political life? The Ticking Clock on this decision will determine if the embattled Prime Minister or Prisoner is allowed to halt his own trial and avoid the full scrutiny of justice.

Authoritarian Tactics in Western DemocraciesNick Cohen and Ben Cohen discuss the tactics of authoritarian leaders, comparing them to successful torturers who exploit vulnerabilities in Western democracies. Nick emphasises that liberal democracies often turn a blind eye to illegal immigrants due to the logistical challenges of enforcing strict immigration laws, which he argued is a weakness that authoritarian leaders like Trump exploit to consolidate power. Ben agreed with Nick's analysis. They also briefly touched on the importance of avoiding formal conversations by not reviewing questions in advance.Immigration Policy and Political PolarisationBen discusses the complex dynamics of immigration policy and its role in American politics, particularly focusing on how Trump's immigration policies and the left's response are contributing to a polarised environment. Ben argues that the left's protests against ICE raids lack strategic direction and may inadvertently play into Trump's hands by validating his claim of a national emergency. He expresses concern that this situation could serve as a dry run for Trump's potential re-election strategy in 2028, where he might use similar tactics to claim the need for extended military involvement to "save the Republic."Left's Ineffective Fascism Fight StrategyBen talks about the current political climate in the United States, focusing on the lack of hope for a free and fair election in 2028 due to insufficient reforms on the left and the resistance's inability to address political realities such as immigration. They agreed that calling the government fascist is appropriate, but the left's overuse of the term has made it meaningless. Ben expressed concern that the left's approach to fighting fascism is ineffective, as they have alienated many people by incorrectly labelling others as fascists in the past.Trump's Impact on American DemocracyBen describes the current state of American democracy under Trump's presidency, expressing concerns about the erosion of democratic norms and the potential for further authoritarian tendencies. They highlighted the lack of checks and balances, comparing the situation to historical examples of weak democracies, and warned about the dangers of a Trump victory in 2028. They also touched on the role of Trump's base, his control over the Republican Party, and the implications for the future of American democracy.Media Polarisation and Political DivideBen and Nick discuss the current state of media and politics, particularly focusing on the challenges posed by the "woke left" and the rise of authoritarianism on the right. They agreed that many journalists and politicians are prioritising audience capture and contrarianism over principles, leading to a lack of meaningful debate and criticism, especially on the right in Britain. Ben expressed concern about the direction of the country under Trump, highlighting immigration raids as a potential indicator of future authoritarian measures, and called for a unified resistance from the left.Read all about it!Read Ben's The Banter Substacks here and listen to his podcasts here.Nick Cohen's @NickCohen4 latest Substack column Writing from London on politics and culture from the UK and beyond. Welcome to this probing, brand-new, fact filled episode of Light ‘Em Up.We are currently being actively downloaded in 119 countries, globally. Please spread the word with a friend regarding our podcast! Remember, we are here for you and because of you!We tackle the topics that touch your lives! We hear so much talk about the topic of Qualified Immunity — but few really know what it is and what it consists of in much detail. THIS episode will put to bed ALL of those questions.Bringing a §1983 Civil Rights lawsuit against any government entity is not an easy task to accomplish.Qualified immunity is a judicially crafted legal doctrine and concept created by the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of Pierson v Ray in 1967.The doctrine was created to protect government officials, particularly law enforcement officers, from frivolous lawsuits and financial liability when they acted in good faith in legally unclear situations. We discuss the requirement (as the law states) that there must be a constitutional violation that infringed upon the rights of a person that was “clearly established” at the time it was committed. Many legal scholars argue that qualified immunity has no legal basis and is not grounded in the text or history of the relevant statutes at 42 U.S. Section 1983. Many argue that the doctrine signals a retreat from the protections afforded to Black victims of racial terror by the Civil Rights Act of 1871 (also known as the Ku Klux Klan Act).Several of our guests on Light ‘Em Up have run face first into the stone-cold, hard truths and effects of qualified immunity.— As a case study we'll examine the fact pattern in a case called Betts v Brennan whereby an officer was sued for using his taser on a non-compliant motorist.— We examine and amplify on the historic background of the concept of qualified immunity.— Drilling down on the original intent, pro's/con's and purposes of the law.— Search out how this doctrine, for lack of a better description, has become “twisted and perverted”, providing what for all intents and purposes is a never-ending “get out of jail free card” to members of law enforcement (and other governmental agents) — even when they violate the law.We share inconvenient truths how qualified immunity (as it has been regularly implemented):— erodes justice and public trust— blocks accountability— sets an unreasonably high legal barrier— serves to further injure those who have already been injured — as victims must identify a near-identical precedent, meaning they have to cite a similar case that a prior victim experienced to challenge misconduct, as we mentioned, an often “insurmountable legal hurdle”.As education is always a foundational pillar of Light ‘Em Up, we introduce you to the concept of Respondeat superior: A legal doctrine and Latin term that literally means, “let the master respond”.It holds employers liable for the actions of their employees — which is also known as vicarious liability. And we empower you with six of the Supreme Court's landmark decisions that have further defined and carved out this judicial doctrine since its inception by the Warren Court. This episode is jam-packed with rock-solid research and information regarding the legal concept of qualified immunity. After today, after tuning in, you will speak with authority about the topic — forever setting you head and shoulders above and apart from everyone else — who speak without knowing.Tune in and be educated and empowered you with the facts, not fiction!Follow our sponsors: Newsly & Feedspot. We want to hear from you!

In the latest episode of "Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski," retired FBI Special Agent and Chief of the Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, Robin Dreeke, delves into the complexities surrounding the trial of Karen Read. The case is marked by conflicting testimonies and a lack of concrete evidence, casting significant doubt on the prosecution's charges. Dreeke critiques the prosecution's reliance on dubious expert witnesses and highlights the toxic relationship dynamics revealed through text messages between Read and John O'Keefe. He underscores the importance of these messages, suggesting they indicate Read's lack of intent or knowledge about the crime. The discussion also touches on the problematic nature of some witness testimonies, such as those from first responders and a particularly anxious trooper, whose credibility might be questioned due to nervousness rather than factual inaccuracies. Brueski and Dreeke question the plausibility of the prosecution's scenario, especially regarding the physical evidence of the taillight damage and lack of injuries on O'Keefe's body, further muddying the case. The episode underscores the trial's ongoing uncertainty and the critical examination of each piece of evidence, pointing to a potentially flawed charge against Read. - The trial of Karen Read is plagued with doubt due to conflicting testimonies and evidence. - Toxic relationship dynamics between Karen Read and John O'Keefe are revealed through text messages. - Expert witnesses present contradictory evidence, weakening the prosecution's case. - Testimonies from first responders and a nervous trooper are scrutinized for credibility. - The physical evidence of taillight damage and lack of injuries on O'Keefe raises questions about the prosecution's scenario. - The episode highlights the overall uncertainty and complexity of the case against Karen Read. - Robin Dreeke and Tony Brueski critically examine the plausibility of the charges and evidence. ### Hashtags #KarenRead #JohnOKeefe #RobinDreeke #TonyBrueski #TrialAnalysis #ExpertTestimony #DoubtInProsecution Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Jonathan Majors got a get out of jail free card from the judge and has been sentenced to one year of domestic violence counseling after being convicted last year of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The actor must complete a 52 week in-person domestic violence program here in Los Angeles. There will be an opportunity in the future for the sessions to be partially virtual, but he must continue the mental health therapy he has been enrolled in and provide updates on his progress. The judge also placed a permanent order of protection against any contact between him and Jabbari. Any other violations or criminal activity could result in him actually facing jail time. Hs ex-girlfriend says that he is still a danger to society, but Judge Gaffey explained that Major's absence of criminal history and prior arrests contributed to his decision to not give the actor jail time. I know he is happy about that. Good for him. Maybe he can jumpstart his career again. Hey, it is Hollywood. They forget quickly out here. Learn more about your ad choices. In a stunning development, the Supreme Court not only decides to take up on appeal Donald Trump's absurd, baseless presidential immunity claim, but they won't even hear oral arguments in the case for nearly two months. And it could take them weeks or months thereafter to decide the case, making it unlikely that Trump's trial for trying to overturn the results of the last presidential election will take place before the next presidential election. So the Supreme Court has made it clear that they will not allow the rule of law to assist in saving American democracy. Of course, the rule of law did not save American democracy in 2020 when Trump tried to steal the election. It was the American voters that saved democracy. And it will be up to the voters to save democracy again come November 2024.If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Who can forget the most famous chant in the 2016 US Presidential campaign: Lock her up! Tens of millions of hard-working, honest, tax-paying, patriotic Americans thought they finally found a leader in Donald Trump, who had the courage and strength to take down the crime syndicate that has controlled America for decades. Everybody knew that Bill and Hillary Clinton were the two most corrupt politicians in the history of the United States of America. The Clintons, however, have a Get Out of Jail Free Card. They are never investigated, indicted, or imprisoned for their multitude of crimes of political corruption. They don't even sweat over the thought of being accountable for dastardly deeds. Weeks after defeating Hillary Clinton in 2016, Mr. Trump shocked his supporters by announcing that his administration would not investigate the Clintons nor prosecute them.In hindsight, Mr. Trump must deeply regret not locking up Hillary Clinton years ago and going after the rest of the political mafia. Mr. Trump may have successfully conducted large business deals in New York City and Las Vegas, but he was not prepared to wrestle with the shadow government. They immediately went into action and laid the groundwork to label Mr. Trump as a Russian stooge of Vladimir Putin. Now, Mr. Trump is facing over 1,000 years in federal and state prisons.Rick Wiles. Peter Navarro here and in this latest issue of my Taking Back Trump's America Podcast and Substack, I'm going to reprise a nice little hit on Lindell TV with the esteemed Emerald Robinson. KEY NEWS BITES: One: While Congressional efforts to go after Hunter Biden are laudable, key players like Senator Ron Johnson and House Representative Jim Comer should always contrast the DOJ's failure to prosecute Hunter Biden with their haste to put folks like me and Steve Bannon in leg irons and raid Trump's Mar-a-Lago. Two: The whistleblower implicates both the DOJ and FBI in suppressing Biden indictment despite grand jury investigations that likely point in that direction. Three: Who investigates the investigators? When the justice system goes partisan, it threatens everything from right to privacy to executive privilege. Four: Never mind the porn and the guns, the Biden crime family has committed what look to be treasonous acts. Five: Partisans like Anthony Blinken are archetypes of a Deep Swamp creature who feeds at the trough of the globalists when out of office and then does the bidding of special interests who have supported them. Six: Hunter Biden's lasting legacy may be to undermine the American people's faith in the American justice system as he roams free.

To start off the week, Charlie unpacks the shocking and breaking story of Michael Sussmann being acquitted by a jury of his D.C. peers. In this abhorrent but all too predictable ruling, Charlie breaks down exactly how this sends a message to the rest of the ruling elites that they can continue lying to the FBI, spying on a sitting president, infiltrating presidential campaigns, and get off scot-free if you belong to the right (left) political movement. Charlie dives into the disappointment he, as well as many other Americans, feel about this slap in the face despite an overwhelming amount of evidence that proves Sussman did in fact lie to the FBI regarding the debunked Alfa Bank story. He then goes into Joe Biden's gaslighting Op-Ed published over the weekend the Wall Street Journal on his "plan" for fighting inflation, which includes a litany of blame shifting, red hearings, and platitudes with few actionable steps. Charlie refutes Joe Biden's Op-Ed claim-by-claim. Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/support See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
