Are Hollywood's youngest stars in any less danger now than those of past eras? We pose this question to Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman's Claudia Lamb. At age 11 she was cast as Mary's daughter Heather Hartman in the groundbreaking Norman Lear soap parody. Claudia offers a front row view to her traumatic life as a 70s child star, at the mercy of her abusive parents and insight into how she gnawed through their shackles to pursue a radio journalism career and become a champion for today's child actors.Claudia was a gourmet meal ticket to her criminally exploitative parents who squandered all her money as she cranked out hundreds of commercials and print ads as a toddler who was shoved into the spotlight and dragged by her angry and brutal mother to audition after audition.Claudia candidly conveys the extent of the violence and terror inflicted by her narcissistically cruel mother as Claudia's labor, throughout her childhood supported the entire family while alienating her five brothers. Her talent and intelligence branded her as a go-to for commercial producers, where, as a stand-by, she frequently replaced the principal. Then at the age of 11, after being pummeled by her mother for a poor math grade, (working kids needed to keep their grades above a C average) Claudia was dragged to a cattle-call populated by every chubby, frizzy haired 13 year old in Hollywood. Claudia, a scrawny, pigtailed 11 year old nailed the reading and was instantly cast as Heather Hartman where she treasured her three years on the set of Norman Lear's outrageous, unprecedented soap satire.Claudia tells of marathon filming sessions, (five episodes a week) with no cue cards or teleprompters. (Louise Lasser would scribble her lines on the kitchen table!) She celebrates the immense talents of Mary Kay Place, Martin Mull and Fred Willard, and shares fabulous anecdotes about Donny and Jimmy Osmond (The Donny & Marie Show filmed next door) and how Claudia was nearly crushed by a mob of fans who spotted her chatting up some Osmonds and jumped a fence to get in on that action.Claudia is frank in her assessment of the adults who let her down as she endured her mother's abuse. Her bruises were in clear view of the wardrobe department. At the age of 18, Claudia put Hollywood in her rear view and became an award winning journalist who now speaks to parents about the reality and dangers posed to children by show business.Weezy offers a supporting view, recommending Demi Lovato's new documentary on Hulu and Disney + called Child Star. Fritz is captivated by the Hulu series adaptation of Patrick Radden Keefe's best-seller about “The Troubles” in Ireland, Say Nothing. And Claudia weighs in on recs with a doc called Casa Bonita Mi Amor on Paramount +.Path Points of Interest:Claudia Lamb on IMDBClaudia Lamb on WikipediaClaudia's BlogClaudia Lamb on BlueskyClaudia Lamb on Twitter/XClaudia Lamb on InstagramChild Star on Hulu and Disney+Say Nothing on HuluCasa Bonita Mi Amor

Will George survive the Torture Chamber long enough to play one of his favorite songs? Tune in and find out! Tim and Jen enlist the help of Bitter Karella to wade through the 22 minutes of treacle that is the forgotten faux-Peanuts special, Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus.See this slab of gelatinous treacle for yourself at the Internet Archive. William Conant Church, brother of Francis Church, did indeed help found the NRA in 1871, in an effort to improve marksmanship amongst the broader American militia. He and brother Francis co-founded several news publications, including the New York Sun, and he also co-founded the Metropolitan Museum of Art.Additionally, Frank Church was not the volcel depicted in the Yes, Virginia special— he was married to a woman named Elizabeth Wickham. In spite of Tim's joshing, it appears that Church did not have a severe yet shapely assistant who browbeat him into publishing the editorial addressed to Virginia O'Hanlon. The O'Hanlon letter was passed on by Edward Page Mitchell, the real-life editor-in-chief of the Sun.Karella alluded to the "Season's Greetings" meme drawn from Douglas Dixon's Man After Man, a kind of speculative art book about possible evolutions of Homo sapiens. If you want to see more of the weird art, the book is free to browse at the Internet Archive. Finally, if you want to pretend that it's 1974 again and you're spinning some 45s, you can hear the theme song for the special sung by a piercing li'l Jimmy Osmond. Have You Seen This? Welcome to episode 66 of Holly Jolly X'masu! In this episode, I'll be wrapping up my “Big In Japan” month with a selection of records from a variety of artists who found their biggest or initial success in Japan. This is easily one of the episodes I've been most excited to record. While the nostalgia invoked by Bob McGrath, and the relative notoriety of Jennifer Connelly's record were big deals, those paled in comparison to everything I was able to uncover about Paul Anka's “Christmas In Japan.” I've mentioned before that I'm not in the best position to uncover facts about Japanese Christmas music that my friends in Japan don't already know, so when I do, it's a huge accomplishment for me. I've always liked Paul Anka, so the fact that his record was involved made it even more meaningful. As promised in the episode, here are the English lyrics to “Vive Le Vent”: Long live the wind, long live the wind Long live the winter wind Which goes whistling, blowing Through the tall green Christmas trees, oh! Long live the weather, long live the weather, Long live the winter weather Snowballs and new year's day and happy new year Grandma! Along the long road All white from the white snow Walks an old man With his cane in his hand And all above the wind Which whistles in the branches Blows on him the romantic tune That he sang as a young child, oh! Merry, Merry Christmas To the thousand candles Which delight toward heaven The night's bells. Long live the wind, long live the wind Long live the winter wind Which brings to old kids Their memories of yesterday, oh! And the old man Goes down toward the village It's the time when everyone is good And the shadow dances near the fire But in each house There floats a festive air Everywhere the table is set And you hear the same song, oh! I ran a little long in spots this episode, so I had to edit out a few bits. One thing I regretted cutting was the fact that “Christmas In Japan” was released on both 45 and 78. I've seen one copy of the 78 for sale. Unfortunately, I didn't bid on it. I'll keep looking, though. Jimmy Osmond's record was a fun one to pick up. It was also surprisingly hard to find. I had a copy sitting in my wish list on one of the record sites for a couple months, but when I went to buy it, their copy had sold. It took over a year for another copy to show up. Since then, I've seen dozens of them, but there was a long stretch where I'd started to worry that I'd never see another. From a pure nostalgia standpoint, Bob McGrath's EP was one of the biggest highlights of my collecting career. Of the human characters on “Sesame Street,” Bob was always my favorite. Hearing his “Jingle Bells” the first time took me back to my childhood. When a copy of his “White Christmas” single showed up a month or two ago, I couldn't pass on it. I resisted getting “Jennifer's X'mas” for quite some time. Now that I have it, I don't regret it, although I'm glad I didn't pay as much as some others have. Jennifer Connelly on “The Graham Norton Show” I hope you've had as much fun listening to and learning about these artists who were “Big In Japan” as I did collecting and researching their music. Join me back here next month as I celebrate Christmas with four weekly episodes. Up first is the Hibari Children's Chorus and their 1965 album, “Good Child's Christmas Party.” After that, I'll be covering the King Orchestra's 1978 album, “Jingle Bells – Christmas Karaoke Collection.” Then join me later in the month as I talk about one of the greatest Japanese Christmas compilations to come out of the 1980s, “Mint Sound's X'mas Album.” Finally, on Christmas Day, listen in as I cover a virtually unknown City Pop Christmas compilation. It's one of the coolest records in my collection and one you don't want to miss. As always, any feedback on this episode would be appreciated. If have any suggestions, or if you'd like to recommend a song or album for a future episode, drop me a line and let me know. Remember, I've added a button to my Ko-fi page. If you'd like to support me one cup of coffee at a time, a donation is only $3. I've also opened a Redbubble store. I only have a couple designs up, but keep an eye on it as I'll be trying to add more. Half of any proceeds or donations received will be donated to support the people of Ukraine, while the rest will be used to purchase new Japanese Christmas music to review for future episodes. You can also find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. And if you get a chance, leave me a review on iTunes. Thanks!
Steve Hewlett is a ventriloquist from Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. He was a finalist on the seventh series of Britain's Got Talent. Hewlett has previously headlined Cromer Pier.He auditioned with a puppet called 'Arthur Lager', depicted as an old man with grey hair. Hewlett's audition was aired in a montage on 18 May 2013. He made it through, and subsequently through to the semi-finals. He appeared again in the semi-final on 1 June with Arthur Lager, and a puppet designed to resemble Simon Cowell, one of the judges. The routine involved Arthur flirting with Amanda Holden. He finished in the top three, and with eventual winners Attraction already through to the final, it was down to the judges to choose the second place in the final between Hewlett and Jordan O'Keefe. It was a split decision, so it was referred back to the public vote, revealing that with 15.1% of the vote, O'Keefe was through to the final, compared to Hewlett's 12%. This left six singing acts in the final, which generated complaints; Holden defended this, and the number of singers on the show, saying "We left it to the public, they wanted Jordan so that was the right decision. You can't argue with the public's decision."However, earlier in the week, it was revealed that the judges would choose a wildcard act out of the third-placed finishers to compete in the final. Hewlett was seen as the popular choice. It was revealed on the night that Hewlett was indeed the wildcard. He performed again in the final with Arthur Lager (now wearing a Onesie) and the puppet of Simon Cowell (wearing a swimsuit and life jacket), as well as a puppet of Sinitta, along with a musical number in the shape of "We Go Together" from Grease at the end, involving the Simon and Sinitta puppets. Despite rave reviews from the judges, Hewlett finished fourth, just narrowly missing out on the top three with 14.7% of the vote, compared to Richard & Adam's 15.4%.It was revealed the day after the final that Hewlett had been signed to the entertainment agency ROAR Global. In 2014, Hewlett led a team of challengers on the TV quiz show Eggheads. He took the puppet Arthur Lager with him. Going Solo In 2016 Steve appeared as a guest on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing reading Terms & Conditions with his new sidekick Rod Vegas. Also in 2016, Hewlett supported Kenny G on his UK tour in Manchester, Birmingham ending at London's Royal Albert Hall which was followed by touring America & England in the Andy Williams Christmas Extravaganza with The Osmonds. He also supported Jimmy Osmond on his Moon River & Me Tour in a week's residence at Falls Casino, Niagara Falls, Canada in 2017.His first UK Tour ‘Thinking Inside The Box' was filmed in The Haymarket Basingstoke and 2nd ‘30 Years of talking To Myself‘ was filmed at Blackpool's Pleasure Beach in 2018.From November 5th to December 23rd 2019 Steve proudly returned & hosted The Thursford Spectacular in Norfolk for the 4th time. His characters included Arthur Lager, Vinnie the Vulture & a member of the audience twice a day for 7 weeks. In July 2020 Steve started a new Podcast project ‘Eyes & Teeth' where Steve talks to his favourite Comedy Icons. Welcome to episode 62 of Holly Jolly X'masu! In this episode, I'll be talking about the 2010 compilation, “We Wish You A Happy.” A lot of my collecting requires leaps of faith. So many of the albums I buy aren't available online, so I can't sample them in advance. This is especially true of the older ones, but even a lot of the music from the 1990s and later still can't be streamed. I learned early on that the bloggers I rely on for recommendations have vastly different tastes than I do, so while a recommendation from them may be a start, I try to look for something else in their comments or the album's content to convince me that I might like a particular album. “We Wish You A Happy” was one where I had nothing to go on other than recommendations a clip of Riddim Saunter's “Guest Of A Christmas.” I was glad I put my doubts aside and got it, though, because it turned out to be an enjoyable album. I hope that at least a couple of the songs here suited your tastes. I felt there was enough variety that nearly anyone could find something to enjoy. I have some great and unique albums lined up, so be sure to tune in in November. Up first, for Christmas Podcast Day on November 1st, I'll be revisiting one of my earliest episodes. I've remastered Episode 5, where I talked about Jackey Yoshikawa's “Christmas With Blue Comets.” You'll get to hear more of the albums plus a few songs from Jackey's later Christmas EP. Then listen in the rest of the month as I talk about artists who were “Big In Japan.” I'll be talking about everyone from figure skater Janet Lynn, to the Ventures, Jimmy Osmond and others, including a couple of hard to find records that I'm sure you'll enjoy. Welcome back to Eyes & Teeth Charlie Green As a singer Charlie has grown up around variety all his life since the age of 3 on cruise ships and then he was discovered on a TV Variety show as a little crooner, Simon Cowell become an instant fan, and then Charlie was rediscovered by none other than one of the Worlds most famous Child Entertainers Jimmy Osmond. You can't get more variety than an Osmond, from the world of American television and The Andy Williams Xmas Show. Now Jimmy saw something in Charlie so much so he took him under his wing and took him to America where Charlie toured the States and the World in the Moon River & Me show.I saw Charlie as more of a little brother after Jimmy Osmond signed me up to his Andy Williams Xmas Show and Moon River Tours and we enjoyed touring The States, working Branson Missouri and The Niagara Falls Casino in Canada together, they were some of the greatest moments of my careerWelcome to Eyes & Teeth the fantastic talents of Charlie Green
5o years ago this week with Casey Kasem. Just noticed this show is from 50 years ago this week! It features wonderful diversity that defined the early 1970s everything from Jimmy Osmond to Cher to Paul Simon to Don McLean to Todd Rundgren to Aretha Franklin to The Moody Blues to Andy Williams to Creedence Clearwater Revival to Elton John to Billy Preston to The Jackson 5 to Neil Young to The Carpenters to The Rolling Stones with Tumblin' Dice! Yes, they are all in this weeks countdown and not a Beatle to be seen anywhere in the countdown, that has to be a rarity in the early '70s!CASEY KASEM'S AMERICAN TOP 40 – 6/3/7240: AUTOMATICALLY SUNSHINE – THE SUPREMES39: LONG-HAIRED LOVER FROM LIVERPOOL – LITTLE JIMMY OSMOND38: VINCENT – DON McLEAN37: LIVING IN A HOUSE DIVIDED - CHER36: DOCTOR MY EYES – JACKSON BROWNE35: DAY DREAMING – ARETHA FRANKLIN34: LOVE THEME FROM “THE GODFATHER” (SPEAK SOFTLY LOVE) – ANDY WILLIAMS33: I'VE BEEN LONELY FOR SO LONG – FREDERICK KNIGHT32: ROCKET MAN – ELTON JOHN31: OLD MAN – NEIL YOUNG30: ISN'T LIFE STRANGE – THE MOODY BLUES29: ASK ME WHAT YOU WANT – MILLIE JACKSON28: SOMEDAY NEVER COMES – CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL27: I NEED YOU - AMERICA26: LEAN ON ME – BILL WITHERS25: SLIPPIN' INTO DARKNESS - WAR24: TAXI – HARRY CHAPIN23: AMAZING GRACE – PIPES AND DRUMS AND THE MILITARY BAND OF THE ROYAL SCOTS DRAGON GUARDS22: ME AND JULIO DOWN BY THE SCHOOLYARD21: BETCHA BY GOLLY, WOW - STYLISTICS20: I GOTCHA – JOE TEX19: TROGLODYTE (CAVE MAN) – JIMMY CASTOR BUNCH18: I SAW THE LIGHT – TODD RUNDGREN17: OUTA-SPACE – BILLY PRESTON16: DIARY - BREAD15: IT'S GOING TO TAKE SOME TIME – THE CARPENTERS14: WALKING IN THE RAIN WITH THE ONE I LOVE – LOVE UNLIMITED13: LITTLE BITTY PRETTY ONE – JACKSON 512: SONG SUNG BLUE – NEIL DIAMOND11: (LAST NIGHT) I DIDN'T GET TO SLEEP AT ALL – 5TH DIMENSION10: LOOK WHAT YOU DONE FOR ME – AL GREEN9: HOT ROD LINCOLN – COMMANDER CODY & HIS LOST PLANET AIRMEN8: NICE TO BE WITH YOU - GALLERY7: TUMBLING DICE – THE ROLLING STONES6: MORNING HAS BROKEN – CAT STEVENS5: SYLVIA'S MOTHER – DR. Neil Crossland is a well respected Water Rat and Showbusiness would be naked without him. He has designed within his company Stagewear Unlimited suits for the Grumbleweeds to Russ Abbot, The Thursford Spectacular to Strictly Come Dancing, Gerry & the Pacemakers to Britain's Got Talent and jackets for Jess Conrad to Janet & Michael Jackson which led to a national scandal in the papers.Neil is probably the only man in history to scare Freddie Starr or stop a ventriloquist act from working. Neil has also given his time to the business and its people becoming a great friend to many and I have just put my order in to be a part of his list...Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Neil Crossland.Neil Crossland - Stagewear Designer | Living North
Matt Slack is a funny comedian but serious actor but entertaining performer but brilliant all rounder, you can't pigeon hole him as he puts 100% into all he does. Matt & I worked together in the summer of 2001 in Babbacombe Torquay. The theatre summer season was just memorable surrounded by great people, working with top acts who were fun to be with socially and on stage, it was where I got engaged, Matt became a father and soon after that season his career took a turn for success when his World collided with Qdos Entertainment.Matt has appeared in Movies, Soaps, Drama's, Musicals, and is currently one of the favourites to see in Pantomime as he becomes a Star at the Birmingham Hippodrome. For now take a listen to how Matt grafted and swapped his Cabaret Act for more serious roles when he joins me on Eyes And Teeth - Funny For Money.
Adger Brown is one of my oldest mates. We met in my first Showbusiness season in Barry Island in 1993 decades before Gavin & Stacey did, as a matter of fact we are probably the "original" Gavin & Stacey but without the heavy petting and arguing. I realised how down to earth, genuine and loyal Adger is and that had resulted in us becoming Brothers in The Grand order. Adger is very well respected in the Sporting Dinners and Golf Events World and has literally helped raise millions of pounds over the years. Being a Stand Up has its skills and Adger delivers that with ease on stage which is clearly evident but he also has those rare skills to Auction serious bids off to happy audience members whether they are the CEO of a Top Company or a Star in the World of Entertainment, we trust Adger, he has that honest persuasive delivery that encourages maybe a 90 year old lady to pay £800 for an abseiling day out or a Vegetarian to enjoy a weekend in an abattoir. OK, that has never happened but you get what I'm saying, Mr Brown is THAT good! Now listen in to see how he deals with his audiences. Welcome Adger Brown

You would think that an entertainment career spanning six decades and 100 million records sold would have begun with a little more glory. For the Osmond Brothers, however, it began with an audition snub from a popular TV show and a father's decision to go to Disneyland. Through a series of "flukes", that family trip to The Happiest Place on Earth ended up catching the attention of Walt Disney himself. A summer gig at the theme park led to an appearance on a TV special that caught the attention of Andy Williams' father, and a one-week appearance on The Andy Williams Show turned into an 8-year run--including the new additions of Donny, Marie, and Jimmy Osmond.
It's another bubblegum intervention! Hope this time it finally sticks! We read a legendary memo from Robert Reed to Brady Bunch producers complaining about bad scripts! Strange gum from Honey Boo Boo! Secret origin of the Newlywed Game Theme! Bubblegum Hall of Famer Joey Levine! Plenty of great bubblegum pop from Keith, Jimmy Osmond, Rick Springfield, Bobby Sherman, Johnny Cymbal, Eddie Hazelton (Eddie Rambeau), Lillipops, S Club 7, Robin McNamara, Banana Splits, Ohio Express, Reunion, Rock 'n' Roll Dubble Bubble Trading Card Co., and Charo!

Jimmy Osmond is a multi-faceted performer, singer, producer, author, and entrepreneur who has been working since the tender age of three.
Jimmy Osmond is only 53 - but has 50 years of showbiz under his belt. How does he do it? Maria MacLennan trained as jewellery designer but found her way, unexpectedly, into a very different (if related) field. She's now developed a career as a forensic jeweller, sent for to reunite owners with jewellery, but also, in the event of disasters like a plane crash, or a building collapse, to reunite owners with their identities when dental records or DNA may not be forthcoming. And to capture the stories that jewellery tells about owners, relationships, family histories. The choreographer was Dougie Squires, who in seven decades has worked with around ten thousand dancers, is best known for the Second Generation. Now Dougie's come out of retirement with seventy five of those dancers to celebrate Dame Vera Lynn's 100th Birthday. We sent JP Devlin, whose running man at Belfast's Sugar Sweet helped define the Northern Ireland of the early nineties, to meet Dougie during a break in the rehearsals. If you're like Aasmah and have finally acquired a garden, then you know that you should be planting stuff in it around now. But what if you're not sure where to start? Hollie Newton was a stressed-out agency worker who started planting things in a window box and making lots of mistakes. These days she knows what she's doing and has written a book for people like me who haven't a clue, containing useful jargon-free chapters like 'Things I Wouldn't Bloody Bother With' and 'Overplanting Compulsion Disorder'... Tony Prince the disc jockey began his working life as a real jockey, an apprentice with Willie Carson. But it was with spinning discs rather than racing nags that he made his name, on the pirate ship Caroline and then at Radio Luxembourg, before going to a glittering career in dance music. Back then he was already one of the most enterprising of DJs, touring Czechoslovakia in the Communist era, when deviating from the party line was dealt with ruthlessly. He met there a young railway worker called Jan Sestak, a secret pop fan and aspiring DJ, a risky business back. They have been friends for over forty years and they've written a book - "The Royal Ruler and The Railway DJ". The Inheritance Tracks Fearne Cotton - DJ, presenter, 20 years in showbiz - says it's time to slow down a bit and appreciate the simple things in life. This is someone who started in TV at the age of 15 after winning a competition to present The Disney Club. 20 years on, she has worked on Fame Academy, Top of the Pops, Children in Need, The BRIT Awards and of course Radio 1. But Fearne recently talked about her experience of depression and described how she used to put on a fake smile and go into "robot mode" to do her job. We asked her to chill out while she picked her inheritance tracks. Fearne's tracks were (Good Times Bad Times) Led Zeppelin & (Rocket Man) Elton John (Rocket Man) Editor: Eleanor Garland.
Believe it or not, for the first time in over a month, the full crew is back together to bring you fashion talk, fun facts about syphilis and to learn how Heavy used to game the Columbia House Record Club. But to start things off there is a lot of confusion about the Neville Brothers, the members of the Jackson Five and the unexplained stardom of a young Jimmy Osmond in Japan. As things settle down, Gustav recounts his disdain for a poor pan flute player in the Portland Airport. Then Heavy talks about the Columbia House Record Club and how he may or may not have led to their eventual demise. The limits of technology are then pushed as we have Heavy listen live for the first time to a super cool hip musical act. But his response is far less than what we had hoped. Then Gustav can't remember a band from the late eighties and Ty and Heavy are absolutely no help. For inexplicable reasons, the guys return to sock talk which leads to Heavy accusing them of being like a bunch of old women. Yet he is fine jumping in on fashion talk from our youth as we deal with chains for men, Member's Only Jackets and OP corduroy shorts. Long time listener and frequent emailer Cody sends in a harrowing tale of a gargling mix-up. That somehow turns to old time diagnosis talk, the near death of Tell Me Where to Turn's Point Break Dave and fun facts about Syphilis. More Bad Apples - 40th Anniversary Season 1 Episode 11 Truly, the January 30, 1976 episode of The Donny and Marie Show is amjam-packed and overstuffed episode. It is filled with good stuff, bad stuff and some really unexplainable stuff. This episode is so jam-packed and overstuffed, it includes a cameo appearance by none other than a Sleestak from LAND OF THE LOST. The good stuff includes some good music (Marie singing "I Cant Stop Loving You"; Donny singing "Rock Around The Clock"; Jimmy Osmond singing…whatever (we here at MORE BAD APPLES love Jimmy and he can sing whatever he wants, we will listen)); two (count 'em, two) separate occasions for Bob Hope to get off some of his jokes (which are so bad they are funny). The bad stuff includes too much Ted Knight singing; Marie singing that old chestnut "Feelings" which is a terrible, terrible song and would defeat any singer); some unfortunate comedy material for Donny & Marie. The unexplainable stuff includes too much Ted Knight singing; an incredibly surreal segment of the Ice Capade chicks ice skating with a basketball theme intercut with a montage of the Globetrotters playing basketball and it is all set to some incredibly funky song we here at MORE BAD APPLES don't know (but maybe our listeners will know); an uncomfortable segment where Ted Knight spends the segment hitting on Marie. Join us this week as we delve into one of the more enjoyable episodes of The Donny & Marie Show.

Jimmy Osmond, 1976 — For my money, it just doesn’t get any better than thirteen-year-old Jimmy Osmond pleading with Santa not to bring him a sleigh for Christmas. See, there’s not enough snow and ice in Los Angeles — where Jimmy Osmond lived at the time — for a sleigh to be practical, or even useful. That’s all Jimmy’s saying. It just wouldn’t make sense, would it? A sleigh, in Los Angeles? Sacramento, maybe. Sure, it’s hardly the North Pole, but you’d be close enough to the mountains that you could just drive a few miles out of town — or get one of your eight siblings to drive you, in Jimmy’s case — to the country for the occasional sleigh ride. But not in Los Angeles. That’s just silly.
