No hay película buena sin un buen malo. Te pongo el ejemplo de “La Guerra de las Galaxias”. ¿Quién se acuerda del “blandito” de Luke Skywalker? Nadie o casi nadie… porque ¡todos nos acordamos de Darth Vader y Han Solo! El malo y el “malote” respectivamente. No, no vamos a hablar de los coches de los “malos de las películas” sino de los coches favoritos por los malos, muy malos en general: Delincuentes, asesinos y dictadores. Pero os hablo de las películas como reflejo de la forma de pensar general: Los malos suelen tener coches negros o al menos oscuros, grandes o muy grandes y caros o muy caros… Desde los coches usados para la mafia rusa hasta los empleados por los gánster, desde los preferidos de los grandes dictadores a los elegidos por los “quinquis” españoles de los 70 o los traficantes sudamericanos, los coches favoritos de “los malos” deben cumplir estos requisitos: -Tamaño -Discreción -Potencia -Robustez 1. Cadillac Town Sedan (1928). Este era el coche, entre otros, de Al Capone el gánster más temido del Chicago de los años 20 y 30. De serie este modelo contaba con un poderoso V8 de 110 CV, pero los “capos” de la época, como el propio Al Capone, le instalaban “extras” como radio para escuchar a la policía, blindaje de acero o cristales a prueba de balas… pequeños “detallitos”. 2. Citroën Traction Avant (1934). La excelencia de este modelo le llevó a ser coche presidencial, a convertirse en todo un icono de la Resistencia francesa durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial para, finalmente, convertirse en el coche favorito de atracadores armados, como era el caso de “Pierrot el loco” y su banda, que la prensa llamaba "banda del Avant Traction". Y es que este coche por su rapidez y fiabilidad era ideal para cometer violentos atracos y luego salir por piernas… 3. Mercedes-Benz W31 G4 (1934). Para mi más malos que los delincuentes son los dictadores. Y que yo sepa solo hay un coche diseñado por y para dictadores. Porque hay modelos nuncios diseñados para el dictador de ese país, pero el Mercedes de la serie W31 más conocido por Mercedes G4 fue diseñado para el uso personal de Hitler, quien regaló estos modelos a otros dictadores, unos aliados como Mussolini y otros “amigos” creo que, con comillas, como Francisco Franco… 4. Rolls-Royce Phantom III (1936). He querido huir del cine, porque ya hicimos un video, pero no he resistido la tentación de incluir el coche de un “malo” auténticamente de película, el de “Goldfinger”. La verdad es que en la saga 007 hay malos de todos los colores, pero hay que reconocer el buen gusto de Auric Goldfinger que se movía a bordo de un precioso Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sedan De Ville, con motor V12 de 7,3 litros. Puedes verlo en el museo del cine de Londres, dentro de la colección de coches Bond. 5. Mercury Eight (1946). Este coche era un auténtico “Best Seller” entre los gánster de los USA en los años 40 y sobre todo 50. El origen de este coche es interesante, porque a mediados de los 40, Lincoln-Mercury se convierte en una división separada de Ford y quiere hacer coches de mayor nivel que la marca matriz. 6. Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman (1963). Siento que haya tres Mercedes en esta lista… pero en este caso este modelo ha sido el favorito de muchos personajes que no eran malos para nada, desde el propio Papa Pablo VI hasta Elvis Presley. Pero era un coche que por su imagen de ser “Lo más de lo más”, capacidad de representación, confort y amplitud, sedujo a muchos malos… entre ellos a Nicolae Ceauçescu, Pablo Escobar, Sadam Husseim o Idi Amin… y también a Fidel Castro, por cierto. 7. BMW 528i (1972). Hablo concretamente del modelo E12, porque es el coche del “Enemigo público número 1”. Jacques Mesrine fue declarado por la policía francesa como el “Enemigo Público Número 1” por sus frecuentes y violentos atracos de los que huía en su BMW 528i que en 1972 era un cochazo, grande y rápido. Su motor era un 6 cilindros en línea de casi 3 litros y 177 CV. 8. Lexus GS (1991). SI te hablan de “Mafia” piensas en Italia o Rusia, pero la mafia japonesa, la llamada Yakuza, también tiene los suyo. Son malos, pero son muy patriotas, pues les gustan las grandes berlinas, como a todos los mafiosos, pero ellos prefieren modelos Made in Japan, como el Lexus GS. 9. Chevrolet Tahoe (1995). Este es un caso curioso. Porque este modelo nace en los USA con un pacífico coche familiar, pero al otro lado del Mundo este modelo a caballo entre un SUV y un TT, con nueve plazas, era muy apreciado por la mafia rusa para realizar ataques sonde eran necesarios muchos componentes humanos… 10. Mercedes G (2000). Los mafiosos rusos son muy refinados… y les gustan los buenos coches. Para ellos prefieren cómodas berlinas y limusinas, pero para sus miembros e incluso para su escolta prefieren robustos modelos de TT.

蛤！Toyota Aristo是什麼車？若說Lexus GS大大們就熟悉了，對國內大大來說，第二代四圓頭燈的GS可能比較熟悉，直到現在路上都還能到第二代Lexus GS穿梭大街小巷，不過90年代至2000年初Lexus品牌一直是海外專屬，相同的車款在日本當地還是掛Toyota品牌。Toyota Aristo這個名字在日本用了兩代，第三代開始就改用和全球相同的Lexus GS，一起來了解Lexus GS前二代在日本的故事吧！

第一代Infiniti G35在名機VQ35引擎的加持下，性能、運轉精緻度絕對沒話說，不過在台灣由於排氣量高達3.5升，在稅制的不利因素，以及對手Lexus GS推出更多元的排氣動力設定，銷量並不突出。至今如果想入手這台中古車，合宜的價格也絕對讓人滿意，但入手前請確認一些地方，因為處理上會有些麻煩，哪些部位這有”個性”？來聽Celsior怎麼說？

APPLE HIRES TESLA'S AUTOPILOT SOFTWARE DIRECTOR FOR CAR EFFORT - Apple Inc., bolstering its car-development efforts, hired a former engineer from Tesla Inc. who drew controversy this year for remarks about that company's Autopilot feature. - The iPhone maker tapped Christopher “CJ” Moore for its team working on a self-driving car, according to people with knowledge of the matter. Moore is working on the effort's software, reporting to Stuart Bowers, another former Tesla executive who joined Apple at the end of last year. Bowers had led Tesla's Autopilot team before departing in mid-2019. - At Tesla, Moore implied that Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk had overstated the capabilities of the Autopilot software. Earlier this year, California Department of Motor Vehicles officials interviewed Moore as part of investigations into the self-driving software. The department asked Moore about Musk claiming that Teslas would be capable of fully autonomous driving this year. - Moore signaled in response that Musk's statements didn't “match engineering reality,” according to a DMV memo summarizing the conversation. Many are speculating that these are the new factory wraps that the automaker has been talking about. - Recently, Tesla has been teasing new colors that are enabled by its paint shop at its Gigafactory in Berlin. However, the company has been talking about another way to get new colors on the vehicles too - Tesla announced that it would be offering wraps in China on its Weibo account. While the company made the announcement last year, there has been no confirmed example of wraps from them. - For the first time, Tesla has been spotted manufacturing new vehicles out of its Gigafactory in Shanghai, and the colors are all new. The images were captured by a drone used by reporter Jason Yang. - Some of the colors include turquoise, pink, and light blue. The car maker has added a Cloud Profiles section in its latest software release, which points to an "Enable Vehicle Sync" option for backing up driver profiles - cloud profiles could also make it easier to synchronize settings across multiple vehicles. According to Tesla Software Updates, synced settings include your display brightness, Autopilot and navigation options. It'd also be helpful to have your Stopping Mode synchronized, as that seriously changes how Tesla's braking functions. The facility will be the first branded Tesla Canada manufacturing facility in Canada and will produce state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to be used at the Gigafactories located around the world in the production of batteries. - In 2019, Tesla acquired Ontario-based Hibar Systems, a manufacturing equipment company that makes machines used in battery cell production. Before Tesla took over, the company was based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, which is only a few minutes from Markham, where the new facility is going to be. It sounds like Tesla might be expanding the team into a bigger facility in the next town over in the suburbs of Toronto. The new three-week production halt will start Nov. 15. - GM said Friday that "battery module replacements remain the priority. We will continue to adjust Orion's production schedule moving forward to best support the recall." It boasts a top speed of 98 mph and a range of 68-89 miles, depending on riding style. The proprietary Z-Force 75-5 powerplant cranks out 46 hp and 78 lb-ft of torque. All of this is plenty to make the S a capable commuter and street bike, and the fuel savings should soften the $11,195 price tag. - Get Off The Road: Zero DS For about another $2500 you can add dual-sport drive and move up to the DS model. You'll get the same motor as the S, but the added grip (and added fun) two-wheel drive provides will cost you a few miles in range. - The Dual-Sport Monster: Zero DSR - For $15,695 you can bring home a Zero DSR and its Z-Force 75-7 motor, providing a whopping 70 hp and 102 mph top speed. The DSR also includes a mammoth 16.5 kWh battery (nearly twice the size of that in the S and DS), giving the the newest model a Tesla-like 163-mile range under mixed driving conditions. In both cases, the usable battery capacity is 107.8 kWh (the total value is not disclosed by the manufacturer). - Overall, the efficiency is very good, but not as good as in the Lucid Air or Tesla Model S. CR recently bought the very first car released by Polestar, the performance brand from parent company Volvo. The Polestar 2 is an all-electric hatchback built to compete with other luxury EVs like the Tesla Model 3 and Audi e-tron, and we share our first impressions on what we found taking it on the open road, as well as our test track. Nissan recently announced a redesigned Frontier pickup truck and Pathfinder SUV, and we ask the big question: what took so long?! Ford has officially killed off the next-gen Focus RS due to the difficulties making it emissions legal for the European market, which gets us talking about how idiots shouldn't be allowed to drive proper cars, and Mitch solves international conflict. Mitch then talks about the new Mercedes AMG A45 S, which causes a wee bit of an argument. Joseph then talks about Porsche offering Apple Car Play compatible infotainment units for 'classic' Porsche 911's. Matt then talks about Lexus killing off the Lexus GS, and we talk about why you would want to upgrade to a Lexus from a well-specced Camry. The F Sport package features 19-inch staggered width wheels, dynamic handling with F Sport tuned adaptive variable suspension (AVS) and stopping power with new larger front brakes with high friction pads.

Lexus GS450h Lexus presenta la quarta generazione della gamma GS. La GS 450h è la prima berlina premium full hybrid con motore anteriore e trazione posteriore ad essere equipaggiata con il propulsore termico V6 a ciclo Atkinson dotato di tecnologia ad iniezione diretta D-4S. Il sistema Lexus Hybrid Drive di seconda generazione è stato notevolmente migliorato con riduzione nei consumi e nelle emissioni nonostante le prestazioni siano paragonabili a quelle di un’auto con motore V8. Il V6 3.5 della GS 450h eroga una potenza complessiva di 343 CV a 6.000 giri (290 CV per il solo benzina che è abbinato ad uno elettrico a magnete permanente) e sviluppa una coppia massima di 345 Nm a 4.600 giri. In sostanza, la Lexus GS 450h si presenta come assoluta leader nel rapporto efficienza/potenza. Il nuovo posizionamento della batteria al Nickel Idruro Metallo (in verticale dietro gli schienali dei sedili posteriori invece che orizzontale) ha consentito alla GS 450h un incremento del 60% del volume del bagagliaio fino a 482 litri. Lunga come la serie precedente (4,85 metri), l’ibrida ha beneficiato di una larghezza accresciuta di 20 millimetri a tutto vantaggio dei posti posteriori. I significativi miglioramenti delle dinamiche di guida di tutta la nuova gamma GS sono stati ottenuti grazie all’inedita architettura della scocca (incremento del 14% della rigidità strutturale), alle nuove sospensioni, ai freni potenziati e a tecnologie all’avanguardia come le Sospensioni Attive Variabili e il dispositivo Lexus di Handling Dinamico. I più avanzati sistemi di sicurezza attiva e di assistenza alla guida disponibili oggi sul mercato fanno parte della dotazione base GS. Stiamo parlando, tra gli altri, del sistema di sicurezza Pre-Crash (che presenta una telecamera di controllo del guidatore accanto al Cruise Control Adattivo, disponibile proprio sulla GS 450h e funzionante a qualsiasi velocità), del Lane-Keep Assist, del dispositivo di controllo degli angoli ciechi e di uno per la visibilità notturna. Ci sono inoltre 10 airbag, compresi quelli per il torace dei passeggeri esterni posteriori. Una caratteristica esclusiva della 450h è rappresentata dai fari a Led con 3 proiettori posizionati più in alto nella griglia a doppio trapezio e dai fari a freccia in stile L-Finesse. Per tutta la gamma, e quindi anche per la 450h, è infine disponibile il pacchetto F-Sport caratterizzato da griglia esclusiva, spoiler posteriore e cerchi in lega da 19” che conferiscono un look più aggressivo e sportivo. La GS 450h F-Sport è la prima ibrida a quattro ruote sterzanti.

There were several reveals from luxury automakers at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Cadillac unveiled a large, four-door convertible concept called the Ciel. Infiniti debuted a seven-passenger, three-row luxury crossover, powered by a V-6 engine matched with a CVT, called the JX. And Lexus showed off the 2013 GS 350 which has a 3.5-liter V-6 under the hood that produces 306 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque. All that and more, plus a little taste, a morsel, of what you missed on last night’s Autoline After Hours, where we broadcasted LIVE from Woodward Avenue.
