The concept of ‘black-and-white' or ‘all-or-nothing' thinking kept coming up for me after chatting with someone from my community. This is something that I've personally struggled with, and I know sooo many other women have as well, so I knew it was time to bring it here. In today's episode, I want to talk about breaking out of black-and-white thinking. For some reason, you think you only have two choices with EVERYTHING. You get stuck in these ‘extremes' traps, and it's like you can't move forward until the ‘perfect' conditions allow you to do so.The black-and-white thinking is prevalent and dangerous now, more than EVER. You're made to believe that it's ‘you vs. them', ‘good vs. evil', ‘right vs. left', and so on. But you know what?? The growth, opportunities, contentment, and pure happiness that comes from breaking FREE from this type of thinking is awaiting you on the other side! At the end of the day, your story is YOURS to write. How beautiful is that?!In this episode, I cover:Why women get so stuck in the ‘all-or-nothing' thinkingRealizing that life is never *just* black and white + finding beauty in the ‘middle ground'Committing to yourself & your dreams so you CAN expand and make them happenFiguring out what a ‘good' mom, wife, business owner, etc. means to YOUPraising women for being completely selfless + the fear of success that plagues so many womenWhy this ‘black-and-white' thinking is even MORE prevalent nowReflecting on my path that ultimately led to the growth & purpose I have todayBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with me on LinkedInResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Behind-the-Scenes Book Club Email List - Click below to sign up → Book Insiders
In today's episode, we talk about unbecoming, healing, and feeling through somatics and nervous system regulation. Somatics truly is a fascinating modality; it's the language of the body, and the nervous system is the operating system of the body. When you utilize somatics effectively (which Darci dives into later - you'll love those!), your body goes back into homeostasis.Darci Burke is a dedicated nervous system regulation practitioner and somatic embodiment coach, and the founder of Holos Heal. She's always been drawn to helping people, and believes that our life experience is our greatest teacher. So often, you've been disconnected from your body, and more specifically, your nervous system. In order to experience true healing, you HAVE to involve the nervous system - this is what creates new patterns in your life. Darci and I also dive into what triggers are *actually* showing you, how destabilizing and scary big identity ‘shifts' can be (we've both experienced these), and why unbecoming is happening more and more in the second half of people's lives. In this episode, we cover:Somatics + its powerful connection to the nervous systemHow trauma shows up in the body + the importance of regulating your nervous system in a ‘slow and gentle' wayWhy trauma isn't just capital ‘T' trauma + understanding YOUR particular trauma and how to untangle itWhat triggers are *actually* showing you2 pieces that are crucial and vital for healingThe scary ‘identity crisis' that happens when you step away from an ‘outdated' version of yourself & evolve into something newWhat it means to feel safety within yourself + the concept of ‘unbecoming'Continuing to evolve, grow, and connect with your true natureBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Darci:Follow on InstagramCheck out her websiteConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with me on LinkedInResources & Links:The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der KolkGather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Speaker Inquiry: Shoot me an email at emilyreuschel@gmail.com or click below to book a call to get started! Something I wanted to do to kick off 2025 is the 75 Hard challenge. If you're not familiar with this, it's definitely not a challenge for everyone. It can very much put you in the ‘all or nothing' mentality, and that can be difficult to break out of. (Been there, done that!) While I didn't necessarily ‘need' this challenge right now, I WANTED to do it, even in the freezing cold winter! In today's episode, I want to talk about what it looks like to ‘do hard things', and why you need to stop waiting for ideal conditions to start LIVING. If I would have tried to commit to 75 Hard last year, it would not have gone well!Maybe you're in a tough season with postpartum, parenting, farm life, or something else. In today's episode, I want to talk about going ‘beyond the pale', because this particular phrase really stuck out to me, and I believe it's something you will resonate with as well. If you look up what this actually means (which I of course did), you'll find that it means to act in a way that is considered outside the bounds of ‘acceptable' behaviors or standards. It may be seen as outrageous, offensive, unacceptable, and even shocking.I know SO many of you are currently navigating a journey of doing something different. You're going against the grain, and you may be getting pushback from those around you because yeah…it's shocking, and they don't want to accept it.So often, we betray ourselves in our lives; we completely self-abandon what we *really* want to do for the sake of someone else's comfort. It feels ‘easier' and ‘safer' when we stay with what we've always known, and continue to get approval from the world around us. But...that's never going to allow you the joy, happiness, alignment, authenticity, and true freedom that you want in your life, is it? I invite you to consider what going ‘beyond the pale' looks like for you. What are you going to choose? What is *really* inviting you to step further outside of where you are now?In this episode, I cover:The history behind going ‘beyond the pale'What stepping outside of ‘the pale' can look and feel likeWhy we betray ourselves in multiple areas of our livesThe little ‘gems' and ‘nuggets' we find and collect for ourselves when we actually go ‘beyond the pale'Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with me on LinkedInResources and Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Join us in Yellowstone!Yellowstone Retreat

There are no ‘right' or ‘wrong' answers of course, and you shouldn't be comparing your answers to anyone else, either!I hope this exercise is helpful for you, and that it leaves you feeling grounded, centered, and inspired as you open yourself up to blessings in the year ahead. This is the time to reflect, sit in gratitude, and really dream about the possibilities in store for you this year.In this episode, I cover:Why you don't need January or a Monday to ‘reset' and change your life10 questions to reflect upon as you ‘turn the chapter' from 2024 to 2025Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInResources & Links:Grab your free 10 questions downloadable guide HEREGather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Join us in Yellowstone!Yellowstone Retreat
Today's guest (and my good friend) Kylie calls herself ‘your farm wife bestie', but she wears many incredible hats. Like myself, Kylie has been on quite the journey of self-discovery over the last few years. She found herself in a season that felt pretty challenging and downright HARD. Kylie thought she needed to be ‘perfect' at everything she was doing (sound familiar??), but she quickly realized she was holding herself to unrealistic standards. In today's episode, we talk about the concept of ‘grow, hoe, and sow', and what cultivating joy and authentic living really looks like. As we're at the beginning of a fresh, new year, this is the time to reflect, and get crystal clear on what intentionality you're bringing to the year ahead.I'm so, so grateful for Kylie's friendship, and to have experienced this transformation over the last few years. I've loved watching her ‘follow the fun', and really give herself permission to continue exploring what lights her up. I hope our conversation encourages you to do the same - it's never too late to begin cultivating joy and authentic living in YOUR own life, too!In this episode, we cover:Why personal growth is ongoing + so much more than you think (in the best way)What happens when we hold ourselves to extremely high expectations and feel that ‘perfection' is required of usKylie's ‘Grow, Hoe, Sow' tool + how you can apply it to your lifeWhat to do when you feel like you're ‘stuck' and need to let go of certain things in your life, but it feels challenging to do soKylie's journey with Human Design + why learning your unique design & energy type can be life-changingKylie's upcoming podcast, Boldly GroundedNavigating what authentic alignment looks like for you and only youBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Kylie:Download her ‘Grow, Hoe, Sow' workshopFollow on Instagram @kylieepperson_ and @boldlygroundedpodcastCheck out her websiteConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with me on LinkedInRelated episodes:Episode 012 | Whose Expectations Are You Living Into? with Kylie EppersonResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this...
I personally LOVE the fact that we're able to change, and try new things, and ultimately, find what really makes us, ‘us'. I don't know about you, but I don't want to be the same person 30 years from now that I am today - I sure hope I've evolved since then!I no longer feel that I need to hold myself back from exploring the depths of myself, just to make myself more ‘palatable' for society. It's in my human design to continuously be evolving and healing and connecting, and yes..getting outside of my comfort zone.Maybe you're in a season of ‘questioning' too. But maybe you're struggling with finding the courage to dig deeper, and start expanding in ways you never have before. My encouragement for you today is to just START! Give yourself permission to explore your curiosities and passions, and be open to learning new things that may be unexpected! It's time to give yourself the ‘gift' of reinventing yourself, and start exploring what truly lights you up. I'm doing this with you - let's start embracing the joy of reinvention together! In this episode, I cover:Why we ‘white-knuckle' ourselves into certain beliefs & mindsets, without allowing ourselves the ability to explore outside of thisHow I'm giving myself permission to embrace & explore what I'm being drawn to in my current season of lifeBeing authentically curious and choosing to pursue what you really want to (instead of what you *think* you should) Why simply having a hobby can be just that, and not something to be monetizedBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Join us in Yellowstone!Yellowstone Retreat
Today's episode is inspired by something I've recently gone through, and have friends currently navigating as well. The idea of ‘creating space', specifically around big transitions or life changes, comes up often in my masterminds and coaching calls. As a society, we've grown accustomed to familiarity, and we feel like we should always know what our ‘next step' will be.That's all good and well, but…what happens when you're ready for something DIFFERENT? You don't actually know what that ‘next thing' is, but you're craving more purpose, intentionality, and autonomy in your life.In today's episode, I want to talk about creating space, taking action, trusting yourself, and exploring the unknown. It can feel sooo scary to step out of your comfort zone - especially when you don't have it ‘all' figured out (because of course, you think you need to). It's like safety and predictability have pretty much gone out the window, right?!In this episode, I cover:Why we seem to think we have it ‘all' figured out in our society + what happens when we discover we want something different that isn't ‘safe' or ‘predictable'Realizing your current circumstance that you don't like will always feel more comfortable than something unknownChoosing to trust yourself over logic (even when it feels super scary)Understanding that there is no single ‘right' path + what momentum really meansWhy you can invite your partner onto your journey & ask for their support, but you don't need their ‘permission' to pursue your aligned, best lifeThe misconception that alignment automatically equals ‘ease'Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Join us in Yellowstone!Yellowstone Retreat
Our part 1 conversation with Sarah Welch was INCREDIBLE, so we're back with part 2 today! If you haven't had the chance to check out part 1, pause now, and go give it a listen HERE.In today's part 2 episode, we talk more about self-experimenting, and the beauty of embracing duality and fluidity in personal growth. Sarah takes us even deeper into perfectionism, unpacking self-sabotage, and navigating the highs and lows of evolving into your most aligned self. Sarah and I have both experienced the difficulties that come with letting go of identities that have long been ingrained into us. We've had to give ourselves the space (and permission) to expand and discover new parts of ourselves. Sooo much of this comes from putting ourselves into community and conversation with others who not only show us what's possible, but allow us to finally feel safe, and like we're ‘enough'. We are special ‘enough', and we are important ‘enough' - YOU are too, friend! In this episode, we cover:Where our cycles of perfectionism stem from + realizing how complex the human experience really isThe connection between self-sabotage & harm reduction + finding a ‘healthy' hobby for yourselfRealizing that more than 1 thing can be true at once + not everything is always ‘black or white'Letting go of identities that have been ingrained into us for so long + embracing more of the ‘child-like' view of the world we used to haveThe beauty that comes when we give ourselves space to truly expand and discover new parts of ourselvesStepping out of your comfort zone and into conversations & community with others you've never been a part of, but know you need to beTaking yourself ‘seriously' when it comes to taking action and following through with your goalsWhy it's beautiful, safe, and productive to embrace ‘seasonality' and cycles in lifeBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Sarah:Follow on Instagram and TikTokCheck out her YouTubeCheck out her websiteConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with me on LinkedInRelated Episodes:Episode 125 | Part 1: Self-Experimenting and Unmasking: Discovering Who You Really Are with Sarah WelchResources and Links:
In today's part 1 episode, we talk about self-experimenting, unmasking, and the process of discovering who you really are. Sarah and I both share what it's looked like to unpack all of our ‘stuff' - especially after receiving our ADHD diagnoses. Today's guest, Sarah Welch, is a self-experimenting coach who helps others get reacquainted with their most authentic selves. She experienced her own trauma while growing up; she struggled with her weight, depression, and was eventually diagnosed with ADHD. She basically felt like the ‘black sheep' of her family. Not only did she feel lost with those around her, but even more so out in the world.Sarah and I also dive into practical steps you can take to get to know yourself again, what ‘checking in' with yourself can look like in your day to day life, and the concept of ‘masking'. Masking is something that I think many of us as women (and moms) relate to, because we feel that we need to show up a certain way. It leads us to focus on making ourselves more ‘digestible' for others in society, but along the way..we become a shell of ourselves, and have no idea who the hell we are anymore. If you're on a journey of discovering who YOU really are, you're going to resonate sooo much with these episodes with Sarah. This is part 1 of 2, so make sure to come back for part 2 next week as we continue this conversation!!In this episode, we cover:Sarah's journey with ADHD, autism, and depression, which led to her self-experimenting and ultimately, ‘coming home' to herselfWhat can happen when you ‘crack open' everything within yourself that you've been ignoring (and not really understanding) for SO longPractical steps you can take to get to know yourself againWhat ‘checking in with yourself' actually looks likeThe concept of ‘masking' + how it can show up in your lifeThe incredibly beautiful AND hard part about raising children + being a cycle ‘starter' in regards to moving forwardHow the self-help/personal growth space has romanticized happiness + made us feel like all other emotions are ‘bad'The imbalance that our society has with anger/rage in men vs. women + how this emotion shows up for women especiallyThe misguided expectation we have that someone else needs to ‘fill our needs'Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Sarah:Follow on Instagram and TikTok Check out her YouTubeCheck out her websiteConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with me on LinkedInSome links referenced below are affiliate links which means I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. I'm coming to you on the other side of a trip where I had the absolute JOY of facilitating a retreat with my good friend, Kaitlin Cox. This was a rare gift that I didn't know I needed, and goodness, did it fill my cup!In today's episode, I want to talk about coming home: politics, purpose, and the ripple effect. After helping Kaitlin with her retreat and hearing the raw and powerful stories from the women there, I was reminded that every single one of us has gone through ‘something'. We've all experienced some kind of trauma or hardship that isn't visible to the outside world, but there is MAGIC when we come together, and share what's on our hearts!I know this to be the ‘ripple effect', and I've seen it play out in beautiful ways in my own life. I've chosen to take action and heal in ways I never thought possible; this has radiated to incredible women like Kaitlin, and the work that she's doing is radiating to the women in HER circle! It may sound a bit cheesy, but if you want to help people and make the world a better place, it starts with YOU. You heal the world by healing yourself, and you change the world by changing yourself. In this episode, I cover:The inner knowing we have when something isn't ‘quite right', and we're meant to pursue something differentRealizing that every single person is carrying something ‘hard' that the outside world can't seeThe power in what is the ‘ripple effect' + how I've seen this play out in my own lifeWhy making the world a better place actually starts with you and your healingWhy it's beautiful + actually normal to not ‘fit in a box' and fully align with one political partyThe collective necessity towards practicing genuine empathy + why I KNOW that my purpose is rooted in healingUnderstanding that while it's great to evolve, you are already worthy and ‘enough', just as you areBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInRelated Episodes:Episode 089 | Loss, Healing, and Empowerment with Kaitlin CoxResources and Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Book me as a keynote speaker, workshop host, or emcee for your next event! In today's episode, we talk about how to overcome people pleasing, self abandonment, and good girl syndrome. As women, we're taught from a very young age that our value is found in what we do for others. We're taught to give and to serve, self-sacrifice, and do it ALL with a smile on our face. We lack the inner knowing that ‘I am good' is actually separate from WHAT we do - whether that's in the home, in our career, at church, etc.Sara Bybee Fisk is a Master Certified Coach and Instructor who has a passion for teaching and coaching. She teaches women how to tame the rampant people pleasing, perfectionism, and codependency that causes them so much frustration and resentment. Sara understands that people pleasing really is the plague of womanhood, because it robbed her of time, energy, and effort for far too long. After growing up in a very conservative, religious environment, she found herself always looking for others' approval, and questioning her worth. Sara eventually learned that yes, she was (and IS) ‘enough', and she doesn't need anyone's stamp of approval to have a fulfilling and empowering life!In this episode, we cover:Sara's journey with people pleasing + how it led her to the work she does todayHow the church & religion influences women + the way they show up in the worldWhat people pleasing looks like from a young age + what happens when it starts to feel like a burdenWhy both people pleasing and not people pleasing is uncomfortable + how to process the discomfort that comes with not people pleasingHow to ‘find' yourself again when you feel completely lost in motherhoodHow to have those ‘tough' conversations with those around you when you're done with people pleasingRedefining what it actually means for you to be a ‘good mom'Internal Family Systems + how we can connect to this and move past people pleasingBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Sara:Check out Stop People Pleasing: Holiday Edition (workshop & coaching experience)Download her free guide: How to Have a Difficult ConversationFollow on Instagram and FacebookJoin her free Facebook communityCheck out her websiteFollow on TikTokListen to The Ex-Good Girl PodcastSubscribe to her YouTube channelConnect with on LinkedInConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my

In today's episode, I want to talk about what it looks like ‘beyond the badge', and embracing seasons in a world obsessed with busy. For me, I wore ‘busy' like a badge of honor. I wanted to achieve every milestone, achievement, and check allll the boxes. Busy became my default answer, because when we're busy, that means we're successful..right?Over the last couple of years, I've really leaned into the concept of ‘wintering'. While we seem to be adding more and more to our calendar, Nature is instead telling us to be still, turn inward, and do less. Whether we're experiencing pregnancy, trying to navigate postpartum, transitioning our career, or some other kind of major life change, it's VITAL that we slow down, and honor the season we're in.I want to encourage you to honor your natural energy, and be present with what's right in front of you. When you're able to know, love, and trust yourself just as you are, you'll be able to come home to yourself, and truly thrive, regardless of the season you're in.In this episode, I cover:Turning to the ‘cyclical' nature of the world and honoring the season you're inMy story of wearing ‘busy' like a badge of honor + how I've actively worked to change that over timeMy journey through burnout + the unexpected blessings this led toChoosing to truly slow down during life's seasons + learning the art of ‘simplify to amplify'Finding alignment in the life you want to create + focusing on being present, and coming home to yourselfBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Book me as a keynote speaker, workshop host, or emcee for your next event! In today's episode, Leah McCloud and I talk about harnessing your Human Design to create your dream life, true alignment, and ease in your business. Human Design is a self-awareness modality that shows you how energy works in your unique body, and how you can use (and optimize) that energy in your life. When you learn your specific Human Design type and discover how to get into alignment and ‘flow', SO much is possible - especially as an entrepreneur!Leah dives into the 5 different Human Design types, as well as the 7 types of ‘authority' pieces that go hand-in-hand with your intuition. Leah and I are both generators, and for me, my intuition comes through as a ‘gut' feeling (aka sacral authority).I'm so, so grateful for Leah, and the wealth of knowledge that she is when it comes to Human Design. I'm honored to be joined by my new friend, Tracy Litt, on the podcast today! In today's episode, we talk about how to create safety within yourself, unpack fear and imposter syndrome, and tap into your unlimited potential. Something that every single one of us has been affected by is FEAR. While we may think fear is a negative thing and we need to move away from it completely..that's actually not true (nor is it possible to do). Fear is lovingly trying to keep us alive! Imposter syndrome (something else I'm sure you know about) tends to show up right along with fear..except it's a ‘crutch' that we fall back on all too easily.Tracy and I also dug deep into emotional addictions, why it's VITAL that we work to clear the ‘emotional congestion' from our bodies, how our thoughts and our intuition vary, stepping into ‘feeling our feelings', and more. In this episode, we cover:Tracy's journey of following the ‘normal' path society told her to, which ultimately led her to want more, go after her dreams, and help the world in a BIGGER wayWhere fear actually comes from + the role imposter syndrome playsHow we create safety instead of simply ‘finding' it + ways to regulate our nervous systemWhat the ‘drip process' is + why it's our responsibility to change what's being ‘dripped'Realizing that you ARE doing ‘enough' and you're not ‘screwing up' your kids Why it's vital that we understand our emotional addictions + how we clear emotional ‘congestion' from the body that's keeping us ‘stuck'Key differences between our thoughts & our intuition + why overcoming fear is actually impossible, but not a bad thingUnderstanding that emotion is energy in motion + what happens when you become a woman who fully ‘feels her feelings'Be sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode! In today's episode, I want to give you a peek ‘behind the curtain', and show you what life as a harvest mom really looks like. I think most of us would agree that certain seasons in life have us juggling more ‘glass balls' than usual, which can totally throw our homeostasis off kilter! If you're a woman in a tough season right now (whether that's harvest or something else), I want to urge you to PLEASE ask for help. You're not a burden, and you can't do it all! Modern motherhood feels so damn hard, because we were never meant to do all of this alone. We have to create these villages that we crave, and support each other where we can.I hope this episode encourages you to give yourself grace, embrace progress over perfection, and know that you ARE enough, friend. On the other side of that hustle, survival, and burnout is a life you can be obsessed with - I promise! In this episode, I cover:Why it's okay to take a step back and not have a certain goal be top priority, all the timeUnderstanding that we ALL experience hard seasons, and admitting that we're struggling won't take away from someone else's situationWhy we so often shove down and ‘pack away' our emotions & feelings, instead of addressing them right awayThe constant praise for independence + realizing you don't have to do it alone, and you're actually NOT a burden when you ask for helpBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInRelated Episodes:Episode 066 | Harvest Mom HacksResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Book me as a keynote speaker, workshop host, or emcee for your next event! I'm very grounded in where I am now, but that wasn't always the case. I know firsthand that this personal growth journey is HARD! We want our personal growth to be perfectly laid out with a set plan in place, but...it doesn't work like that. Our personal growth and healing doesn't have a certain ‘end date'; it's more of a practice of trust and release to have faith in knowing that we ARE on the path that is meant for us, regardless of how long it takes! In today's episode, I'm talking about cultivating confidence, sucking at something new, and taking brave action. For me, my definition of success has greatly changed over the last year. As an Enneagram 3, I used to believe success meant chasing and achieving big goals so I would be ‘enough', and people would love me. But no...it's doing meaningful work that I truly LOVE, and is actually making a difference in other women's lives! In this episode, I cover:Why your personal growth and healing journey doesn't have an ‘end date', and it won't be laid out ‘perfectly' eitherHow my definition of success has dramatically changed in the last yearUnderstanding that you can't ‘magically' create confidence, because it's cultivated by taking brave, scary actionRealizing that you're already capable and qualified to start doing that ‘thing' that you know you're meant to doThe beauty that awaits you when you come HOME to yourself + fully know, love, and trust yourselfBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Find the complete show notes here: https://emilyreuschel.com/117-cultivating-confidence-sucking-at-something-new-and-taking-brave-action/ Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Book me as a keynote speaker, workshop host, or emcee for your next event! I'm VERY excited to have a special guest, Lindsy Trotter, on the podcast today! Lindsy has become one of my ‘business besties', and someone I've loved getting to work and connect with on a deeper level. Our paths have crossed in multiple ways this year; she joined one of my masterminds + we both joined Suzy Holman's mastermind, and we have a LOT in common (kind of feels like we have the same brain). Like so many of us, Lindsy has dealt with perfectionist and overachiever tendencies, and she loved checking ALLLL the boxes. As an ADHD entrepreneur who's an Enneagram 3, she had accomplished so much already, but was not feeling fulfilled in her business. She was struggling with what to do next, and had multiple signs telling her that something wasn't ‘right' in her business, with her health, etc.Ultimately, she knew she needed to slow down, ‘unplug' more, and make some drastic changes in her life. Now, Lindsy has a renewed sense of excitement for her business and what's to come - she's truly FLOURISHING!In this episode, we cover:Lindsy's journey from teacher to entrepreneur, and the full-on ‘hustle and grind' mode she was in as she built her businessWhen you're misaligned/don't know what's next in your business, and feel like ‘burning it down' is all that's left to doWhy therapy and ‘feeling your feelings' isn't necessarily fun or enjoyable, but is crucial when you're ready for the next chapter in your lifeLindsy's upcoming course + what she wishes she better understood her first year in businessHow ADHD has impacted Lindsy + how she shows up in businessBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Find the complete show notes here: https://emilyreuschel.com/116-morning-sun-entrepreneurship-with-adhd-and-burning-it-down-with-lindsy-trotter/ Connect with Lindsy:Get on the waitlist for Lindsy's upcoming course HEREFollow on Instagram @lindsy.trotter and @chilledfreezermealsCheck out her websiteConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInSome links referenced below are affiliate links which means I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. I'm excited to be back with this part 2 episode, all about WHY you're disconnected from your inner knowing, how to know, love, and trust yourself, and how to deepen your intuition. If for some reason you missed part 1 (linked below), make sure to give that a listen and then come back to this one when you're done!In today's episode, I want to dig more into how to truly listen to your body and your intuition, and really, ways to do that in your everyday life.In this episode, I cover:Learning to listen to your body and get curious about your body languageSimple ways you can work toward better understanding and growing your intuitionWhy you need to stop overthinking your decisions and really tune into yourself, because you already KNOW what you need to doThe power that comes from embracing your true self, regardless of what anyone else thinks of youGetting super clear on what you actually need when you're in a new/different seasonHow I've invested time and money into myself this year + why investing into yourself and taking risks truly comes down to your inner knowingGiving yourself permission to change and evolve + realizing that you're NOT a failure if you need to pivot and try something differentHow to know when to slow down vs. when to hustleBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInRelated Episodes:Episode 086 | Wall Art and IntuitionEpisode 087 | Why You Should Commit to an Endurance ChallengeEpisode 114 | Part 1: Why You're Disconnected from Your Inner Knowing, How to Know, Love, and Trust Yourself, and Developing Your IntuitionResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Book me as a keynote speaker, workshop host, or emcee for your next event! In today's episode, I want to talk about WHY developing your intuition can be challenging, and really, how to rebuild and reconnect with yourself so it doesn't stay that way. I've talked about this a little bit on the podcast before, but as I've continued going deeper on my own journey, I've found that coming home to myself and knowing, loving, and trusting myself is such a spiritual experience that transcends consciousness. Intuition isn't ‘flighty' like the typical dictionary definition makes it out to be, but rather, a beautiful GIFT!Tune in for this 2-part episode that will help you uncover why you're disconnected from your inner knowing, how to know, love, and trust yourself, and developing your intuition. In this episode, I cover:Why intuition isn't ‘flighty', but is actually a deeper, spiritual experience that transcends consciousness and allows you to come home to yourselfWhy SO many women struggle with the concept of knowing, loving, and trusting themselvesBeing okay with not knowing/having everything figured out and asking questions about God, spirituality, religion, etc.The very ‘mixed' messaging we receive regarding health and wellness, motherhood, business, and moreThe obsession we have with right versus wrong + actually ‘feeling our feelings', so our emotions can move through usBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Connect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInRelated Episodes:Episode 086 | Wall Art and IntuitionEpisode 015 | What is Human Design? with Leah McCloudResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingMentioned in this episode:Book me as a keynote speaker, workshop host, or emcee for your next event! I'm BEYOND excited to welcome Suzy Holman as today's podcast guest!Suzy and I have been connected for quite some time - not only is she a mentor and coach to me (I'm currently in her mastermind), but she's an all-around special person I've been blessed to know. Suzy is a serial seven-figure entrepreneur, business coach, and mother of four; her journey actually started on Instagram as an ‘accidental influencer'. However...she quickly realized this was not the path she wanted to stay on. She wanted a space where she COULD be her authentic self, and once she chose to show up unapologetically in that way, everything exploded in her business and her life (in the best ways possible). In this episode, we cover:Understanding that maybe it's all about ‘unbecoming' everything you weren't meant to be in the first place + the discovery of ‘discovering your gifting'Surrounding yourself with other women who are pushing through discomfort and chasing their dreams, regardless of their fear(s)What pursuing alignment really looks and feels like + giving yourself permission to ‘turn the page' and change, because your life won't always look the sameFinding your ‘flow' in business + how the consistency piece tends to plague most business owners and leads to more resistance The beauty and safety that comes from truly knowing yourself, and the magnificent, ‘juicy' life that awaits you on the other side3 steps to take to dive in and discover WHO you really arePursuing more peace and love instead of more numbers on a spreadsheet + putting love and time in the right order in your lifeResources & Links:A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah J. In today's episode, I want to talk about the ‘lost art of using your brain box', and why the unshakable calling for diverse perspectives, empathy, and critical thinking matters now, more than ever. For me, I'm questioning sooo many things - I feel a bit of a disconnect, because it's uncomfortable, and I've still found myself thinking about other people and their opinions. Maybe you're feeling similarly, because you're questioning your thoughts and beliefs that you once had, but...you're fearful to share, due to how others may react. But you know what? I'm so BEYOND the close-minded bullshit that we've been in proximity with for far too long!I believe our purpose and who we truly are is meant to evolve and grow and change. Every step of our journey will get us closer to where we're meant to be, and surrounding ourselves with others who are doing things a little differently is a beautiful part of the process! I wish that more people today would be curious, because curiosity creates empathy. We NEED to be willing to learn from others and their diverse perspectives, instead of being so misaligned and disconnected. In this episode, I cover:My recent rebrand for my podcast and business + how it's really allowed me to come home to myself, instead of staying in a specific ‘box' I never truly fit inRealizing that your purpose should change, evolve, and grow, because every step of your journey will get you closer to where you're meant to beThe deep disconnection we have not only from ourselves, but each other and natureDiscovering what empathy looks like when we choose to actually think for ourselvesBreaking free from the ‘cookie cutter, good girl' mold you've felt trapped in, and instead, embracing your beautiful, weird, and multi passionate selfResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBranch Creative CoBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Find the full show notes here: https://www.emilyreuschel.com/112-the-lost-art-of-using-your-brain-box-the-unshakable-calling-for-diverse-perspectives-empathy-and-critical-thinking
I'm honored to welcome my friend, Eliza Clayton, onto the podcast today!Eliza has a pretty incredible story of (unexpectedly) turning her husband's dental career into a booming, six-figure business, using social media, digital products, and more. However...Eliza grew up in a devoutly religious family, and after marrying young and having children, she felt like putting her family and their needs above everyone else is what her contribution ‘should' be forever. Building a business (or anything of her own, really) was never on her radar. She loved supporting her husband, and she was taught to prioritize his dreams, no matter what.Eliza has learned some valuable lessons since stepping into business too. What you bring to the table does matter, and just because you don't feel ‘qualified' to do something, doesn't mean you shouldn't move forward, and take action! The success that this business has brought for Eliza and her family has tremendously impacted not only how she sees herself and her role in her family, but her overall confidence too.In this episode, we cover:Eliza's journey of supporting her husband with his start-up dental practice, to unexpectedly blowing up in the online space & creating a thriving business for her familyThe expectations we place on ourselves regarding marriage, having kids, etc. + struggling with not finding fulfillment in what we ‘thought' would make us happyWhat functional dentistry is + what actually causes cavitiesLearning to stand on your own two feet and making something your ‘own' + finding your unique perspective that you can bring to the tableHow Eliza's success has dramatically shaped how she now sees herself, her role in her family, & her confidence + the impact it's had on her familyResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingConnect with Eliza:Follow on Instagram @restoration.dentistryCheck out their digital productsFollow/subscribe their podcast, Dentistry DisruptedConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Find the complete show notes here:
I don't know about you, but for me, this year's games just felt different..in the best ways possible. So many women were competing, and for the first time ever, there was actually a 50/50 split between men and women! Women's sports are definitely having their own moment right now, which I'm totally here for. I love the current movement that is women supporting and truly CELEBRATING other women too; I honestly never imagined this would be a reality for my generation, so it is pretty freaking inspirational to see! Since watching the Olympics and consuming the Olympic media in various places, I really wanted to share some of my favorite ‘nuggets' (aka Olympic lessons) that hopefully you can implement into your own life as well.In this episode, I cover:The incredible ‘moment' that moms are having at the Olympics + how it shows us that we can be awesome moms and still pursue our dreamsWhy taking time for and prioritizing your mental and physical health doesn't make you weak, but stronger and better than everHow we're continuing to crush the notion that we must tear each other down in order to have a seat at the table, because there's actually room for ALL of us Moving away from unrealistic body standards + knowing that your overall health, appearance, etc. is never a ‘one-size-fits-all' Why you should totally embrace your unique, multifaceted self, instead of shoving yourself into a box in order to be accepted and worthyRealizing that you can be multi-passionate, because YOU are your niche, and you can do and explore whatever you're desiring toWhy showing up as your authentic self ALWAYS wins + understanding that no matter how successful and happy you are, there will still be someone who doesn't like youResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest episode!Find the complete show notes here: https://www.emilyreuschel.com/110-olympic-lessons-for-multi-passionate-moms-creatives-and-entrepreneurs
I'm pumped to welcome my new friend, Amy Green Smith, onto the podcast today! I honestly feel she's like my new best friend - she is SO freaking cool, and offers a very unique perspective on the topic of people pleasing (especially recovering people pleasers - I know there are many of us out there)! In today's episode, we cover crucial topics like people pleasing, unshakable boundaries, communicating with power, cultivating self-worth, and more. Boundaries are one of those things that can feel pretty intimidating (to both people enforcing and receiving them), but they are extremely important when it comes to your self-worth and ‘enoughness'. Taking a three-pronged approach (like Amy recommends) can be incredibly beneficial when you're ready to get serious about your boundaries and actually implement them (the follow through is key here). The world has plenty of badass, intelligent women who are incredibly brilliant, but they tend to doubt themselves, and feel like they don't have ‘enough' to offer. Contrary to what society had led us to believe, we ARE allowed to feel however the heck we want to, and we shouldn't feel ashamed or ‘less than' for our unique life decisions. In this episode, we cover:What boundaries are + why they are incredibly important in regards to your self-worth and ‘enoughness'Why you should not allow your silence to make you a liar + using Amy's three-pronged approach for setting boundaries when you need to have those tough conversationsThe detrimental impact that comes when you lose yourself and who you're really meant to be, simply to fit in and please everyone around youLearning to cultivate your value + genuinely believing that you ARE allowed to feel however you do, regardless of what others think Taking inventory of who you're willing/able to have difficult conversations with + practicing kindness and assertiveness when speaking with othersLetting go of societal pressures when it comes to your health & body as you age + continually prioritizing your relationship with your partnerResources & Links:Gather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingConnect with Amy:Check out all of her free resources HEREFollow on Instagram @heyamygreensmithCheck out Amy's websiteListen to her podcast The Bold-Faced Truth PodcastConnect with Emily:Follow on Instagram and FacebookJoin my email listCheck out my websiteConnect with on LinkedInBe sure to hit subscribe so you never miss the latest...
Friends…I have a very special treat for you today! A few weeks ago, I had the honor of being part of The Goals with Soul Summit, hosted by my friend Kate House of the Live By Design Podcast! Kate is an absolute POWERHOUSE in the personal development space! The entire summit was built around helping high-achieving, goal-oriented women move from stressed and overwhelmed, to focused and making progress towards achieving their goals.I know there were SO many women from the Gather in Growth community that took part in the summit and had the pleasure of hearing from over 20 thought leaders in the personal development space. I received sooo many messages about my interview, that Kate and I decided to repost it HERE for you to enjoy it too!In this episode, we cover:Embracing the evolution of your life and career, instead of feeling like you have to do one thing foreverGiving yourself permission to follow your passion and joy, instead of trying to fit yourself into a certain ‘box' that society expects of youUsing the prompt ‘wouldn't it be cool if..' to help you discover what you really want your life to look like (without any particular boundaries)Learning to trust and fully connect to your intuition + choosing curiosity, and not being afraid to explore what's possible for youLetting go of perfectionism and finding peace and joy in your everyday lifeBeing okay with finding yourself in the uncomfortable and ‘messy middle' of your life, because it IS serving a purpose (even if you don't understand right now)Some details about my brand NEW and exciting project, High Vibe 95Resources & Links:A Court of Thorns and RosesFae Isles SeriesFourth WingPlated Prisoner SeriesCrowns of Nyaxia SeriesGather in Growth Sponsorship InquiryBook me as a speaker for your next eventGather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr PodcastingSome links referenced above are affiliate links which means I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Just 1 year ago I was talking about how my depth of understanding of growth had changed in my first year of podcasting; I honestly didn't think I had any further to go, but boy, I was wrong! I started this podcast talking about goals, habits, etc., but after having so many life-changing conversations with guests on this show in the last 2 years, I've learned it is SO much bigger and deeper than that. In today's episode, I want to talk about 5+ things that I've learned about personal growth since launch day, and really, where I see Gather in Growth going in the future. In this episode, I cover: How Gather in Growth began 2 years ago + the literal life-changing conversations with guests that have continued to change & expand my mindset The beautiful evolution that both you AND I have experienced since the start of this podcast + actively choosing curiosity and growth as we walk alongside one another Why we SHOULD celebrate ourselves continually evolving, learning new things, and shifting our points of view Understanding that people can only meet you to the depths in which they have met themselves Taking time to think about what you want your ‘average Tuesday' to look like + setting goals that will actually help you create a sustainable life you love Realizing that if you are feeling ‘stuck' in a certain area of your life, there IS a reason why you're feeling that way Why everything is ultimately connected to our nervous systems and how emotionally healthy and regulated we are Resources & Links: Branch Creative Co Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry Book me as a speaker for your next event Gather in Growth podcast produced by: Jill Carr Podcasting Connect with Emily: Follow on Instagram and Facebook Join my email list Check out my website Connect with on LinkedIn Related Episodes: Episode 102 | Healing to the Depths of Your Soul and Nervous System Regulation with Sara Elise Johnson Episode 055 | What Does Personal Growth Mean to You? I thought this would be the perfect time to do kind of a ‘catch up' episode though, and update you on what's been happening in my life, what's on my mind, what summer has been like in the Reuschel household, what I am learning and working through in real time, and more. Honestly, my heart is on FIRE for this work I get to do with you, and this big, beautiful world we get to live in. If you're all about cultivating curiosity and comfort with the unknown too, buckle up for this episode, friend - it's going to be a blast!! In this episode, I cover: The feeling of not doing ‘enough' with your kids, family, career, life, etc. (during summer, or anytime really) that we all know too well Letting go of those unrealistic expectations that you put on yourself, and instead, living life on purpose in whatever season you're in Why I'm much more focused on nervous system regulation and tuning into my intuition now The constant pull I've been feeling lately to be outside and spending time in nature Why I've been so excited to bring on a variety of guests with new and unique perspectives and life experiences Really thinking about who you were before the world taught you to be otherwise, and why you feel like you NEED to change yourself to ‘be' a certain way Realizing that you're already enough, and worthy, and you can fully trust yourself to be who you're meant to be What's next for my podcast, my business, my community and more + embracing my ‘level up' and the internal healing work that I'm so ready for Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry IGNITE + GROW Micromind - now enrolling! In today's episode, Brittany MacLeod and I discuss failing spectacularly, cycle curiosity, embracing seasons of life and entrepreneurship, and more. Whatever season of life you're currently in, it's important to embrace this season, and think about what you actually need. Your goals don't have an expiration date, and you also don't have to wait for 20, 30, or 40 years from now to start living the life you actually want to live (contrary to what society will lead you to believe). If you're ready for more purpose, joy, peace, health, and wealth, ALL of these things (and more) are possible for you to create, right where you are, RIGHT now! In this episode, we will cover: Brittany's multi-passionate entrepreneurial journey + how she navigated the ‘fear of failure' mindset, anxiety, and more as a business owner The deep, transformative healing that Brittany experienced away from the small town she grew up in + why it's okay to leave and immerse yourself somewhere new too Finding true peace in your unique season of life Changing the narrative and normalizing the conversation surrounding the menstrual cycle + celebrating the superpower that it truly is for women Why being super ‘emotional' and feeling deeply does NOT have to be a negative thing The current season of ‘survival' Brittany is living + how awareness has played a much more significant role in her life recently Not getting caught up in the ‘and then' mentality, but instead, choosing to find joy and purpose in the everyday life you are already living Why you actually don't have to wait 20+ years from now to live the life you want and dream of Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry IGNITE + GROW Micromind - now enrolling! I'm honored to be joined by my inspiring, powerhouse friend, Roxanne Granata, for today's episode! Roxanne is an Empowered Relationships Coach who specializes in healing the nervous system through Internal Family Systems (IFS - also known as Partswork) and Somatics. Her journey began a little over a decade ago when she experienced betrayal trauma with her now ex-husband, and his hidden addiction to pornography. This path was very painful and made her question herself (and even her sanity) along the way. Ultimately, it led her to experience healing that she didn't know was possible, a newfound purpose and passion, becoming a published author, and even remarriage. In this episode, we will cover: Roxanne's story of discovering her first husband's addiction + the powerful healing journey and new career that happened for her as a result Learning to set boundaries and surrender the outcome, no matter how scary or out of control it feels like Key differences of standard talk therapy vs. EMDR The power of Partswork (IFS) therapy + what it's like to actually find and ‘talk' to a part of you that needs healing Understanding that having awareness and being very intentional about the ‘work' you're doing will positively impact and heal your kids + future generations Realizing that it's not about fixing every aspect of your life, but instead, fixing and healing YOU Resources & Links: Altogether You by Jenna Riemersma Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry More info on the Ignite + Grow Micromind Join the Ignite + Grow Micromind waitlist Learn more about my speaking Get your YouDoYou32 tracker! I am joined by Lisa Brennan, an incredible person who I've known for a very long time, and I've been eager to have her on the podcast for a while now! In January 2018, Lisa and her family started a new chapter in life, after her youngest child shared she was a transgender woman. While this was unexpected and definitely came with adjustments, the Brennan family found that treasuring someone for who they truly are is magical and sacred - it doesn't have to be scary, or something to hide. This was a beautiful conversation, and I hope Lisa's story encourages you to lead with love, curiosity, and openness, because doing so will only change things for the better! In this episode, we will cover: Lisa's story of navigating a new journey with her transgender daughter + how this eventually led to her writing a book about everything she learned and experienced How Lisa's transgender daughter came out to her and her family + the research and resources Lisa started diving into in order to better understand everything The power of time and community that's incredibly vital when you're experiencing moments of isolation, and/or stepping into unfamiliar territory The beauty that comes from living authentically and doing what's placed on your heart, and how this gives others permission to do the same Not being afraid to challenge religious and societal ‘norms' and proudly embrace who God created you to be Taking time to look within yourself and being open to important issues around you, even if you don't think you're affected by them Continually learning and evolving, no matter your age or what you *think* you know Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry More info on the Ignite + Grow Micromind Join the Ignite + Grow Micromind waitlist Learn more about my speaking Get your YouDoYou32 tracker! Sara and I connected on our recent mastermind retreat, and the knowledge and energy she radiates is undeniably contagious. Sara is a wife, mom, author, and Life Coach; she helps others transform and move forward in their lives, despite the circumstances they are facing. After experiencing her own physical and mental health battles (one of the biggest being told she would never be able to have children), Sara knew she wanted to turn her pain into purpose. She now supports women with their own healing and rejuvenation in a way that allows them to love and accept their true selves on a deep soul level. In this episode, we cover: Sara's life-changing and healing journey with motherhood + why doing mindset work alone is not enough to bring true healing for you The complete identity crisis that rocked Sara, and how it ultimately led to her writing a book Why doing real self-care is what's going to refuel and recharge you Effective ways to actually ‘overhaul' your nervous system and promote healing Learning to be your own best friend as you grow and evolve, instead of looking for approval and validation from others Modeling the behavior we want our kids to see so they can build emotional intelligence and resilience, and truly experience the world differently Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry More info on the Ignite + Grow Micromind Join the Ignite + Grow Micromind waitlist Learn more about my speaking Get your YouDoYou32 tracker! Sadie and I covered a variety of crucial topics in our conversation, and her incredible heart and passion for what she does really shines through. Whether it's with your career, motherhood, finances, or leaving a legacy for your loved ones, embracing AND boldly showing up as your authentic self in your community (and life) is necessary. What you bring to the table matters, friend, so make sure you own that, and don't forget to get support where you need it so you can focus on making those big dreams a reality! In this episode, we will cover: The unique trajectory Sadie found herself on during college, and how that ultimately led to her launching a career in the finance space How Sadie empowers her clients to take control of their finances and cheers them on to achieve the goals they're striving for Utilizing an IRA as an entrepreneur + not worrying about ‘starting small', because your money will compound and continue working for you Sadie's beautiful, yet challenging, experience of living in two different ‘worlds', and how that impacts her in her everyday life Why we HAVE to continue changing the conversation and making our voices heard regarding the farming/ag world and business Honoring and respecting both the solid foundation the previous generation has built + the fresh ideas and perspectives the next generation is presenting Taking ownership and embracing your authentic role in your community + why it's beneficial to cultivate different types of relationships in different spaces Boldly owning who you are and what you bring to the table, because what you have to offer IS valuable (and needed) Understanding that it's okay to ‘stretch your boundaries' and relinquish control in certain areas, so you're able to grow and focus on your dreams Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry More info on the Ignite + Grow Micromind Join the Ignite + Grow Micromind waitlist Learn more about my speaking Get your YouDoYou32 tracker! Not only are we celebrating the 100th episode of Gather in Growth, but I'm also joined by the love of my life - my husband, Andrew! I polled my IG community for questions they wanted to ask Andrew, and I have plenty of my own topics that we dig into as well, so you better believe this will be fun, and one you do NOT want to miss. In this episode, we cover: How Andrew and I met + how our (initial) long distance relationship positively impacted us Andrew's change of heart when it came to pursuing farming + navigating challenges that typically come with intergenerational dynamics in farming and ag Andrew's expectations with fatherhood + our intentionality with parenting and choosing to do things ‘differently' from the beginning The importance of ‘putting yourself in your spouse's shoes' to really see what they're going through in their day to day life What it was like for Andrew as I began my personal growth journey + what eventually ‘clicked' for him to pursue it for himself Why me quitting my job to pursue entrepreneurship was the massive change we absolutely needed in our lives + what this transition was like for our family The growth, healing, and peace that has resulted for both Andrew and I since starting my business + the significant role therapy has played in the process Knowing that there will ALWAYS be hard things, but what truly matters is how you choose to work through them together Understanding that the way you and your partner process things will be different + why a high level of trust with each other is necessary Building resiliency as you work through roadblocks in entrepreneurship (or anything else in life) + why you'll never have 'it all' figured out Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry More info on the Ignite + Grow Micromind Join the Ignite + Grow Micromind waitlist Learn more about my speaking Get your YouDoYou32 tracker! This impulse family trip was eye-opening (in the best ways possible), and really brought up SO many things for me. It reminded me to deeply think about how I'm spending time with my loved ones, parenting my kids, treating my body, planning and prioritizing, and even, how I'm showing up in community with others in this world (no matter their ideas or perspectives). I hope there's a little nugget (or two) that you're able to take from these lessons and apply to your own life, too! In this episode, we cover: The extra frustration and overwhelm that comes with ‘chaos planning' and simply ‘winging it' vs. ACTUALLY having a plan and setting yourself up for success Why you HAVE to be willing to give up what feels ‘easy' for what you really want Being more intentional with being outside and spending time in nature this summer Our recent experience with multiple flat tires on my car + why this was such an important reminder that how we handle stress matters Consistently modeling behaviors and emotions that positively support our kids + the difficult and triggering work that comes from (re)parenting ourselves in the process Getting super clear on your priorities + making the time and space to plan for those things so they actually DO happen Stepping out of your comfort zone and choosing to be in community with other people who have different ideas, perspectives, upbringings, etc. Resources & Links: Gather in Growth Sponsorship Inquiry More info on the Ignite + Grow Micromind Join the Ignite + Grow Micromind waitlist Learn more about my speaking Get your YouDoYou32 tracker!
