Carlos Slim wasn't the first ever Mexican to be the world's richest man. That honor should probably go to Antonio de Obregón y Alcocer, the half-Mexican who discovered and ran the greatest silver mine of all time: the Valenciana Mine. That mine, by itself, was responsible for 60% of all the silver produced in the 18th century. So Slim has some ways to go. But I have always been fascinated at Mexico's wealth inequality. How did a country with 46.8 million people living in poverty also end up hosting one of the world's richest men? The answer is that they sold him a monopoly. Un placer hablar contigo hoy. Alf: Ajá. Chris: Este me gustaría empezar preguntándote donde te encuentras hoy y cómo se ve el mundo a través de tus ojos? Alf: Este hoy me encuentro en mi cocina. Desde ahí trabajo yo. En la ciudad de México, en una colonia se llama Iztaccihuatl. Cómo se ve el mundo? Pues mira, yo no tengo una vista tan mala. Este no es un edificio grande, pero tengo una vista linda, no? O sea, no me tapa la vista otro edificio ni nada. Se ven muchas plantas. Y bueno, supongo que sabes que yo soy de provincia. Entonces yo siempre he sentido que aquí donde yo vivo es como una, un poquito provincia en la capital, porque no hay edificios tan grandes.Este y bueno, desde aquí se ve, se me olvida que estoy en CDMX ahora, sabes a Chris: Gracias. Pues eres entre otras cosas, autora de varios [00:01:00] textos entre ellos Pepitas de Calabaza y el muy reciente No Existe Dique Capaz de Contener al Océano Furioso. También coordinaste la traducción al español del texto en inglés de Militancia Alegre:Deje Resistencias Florecer en Tiempos T óxicos. (o Joyful Militancy) A esa traducción le siguió un podcast complementario con Pamela Carmona titulado Alegría Emergente: Deshaciendo el Radicalismo Rígido. Entonces, para empezar, me gustaría preguntarte cómo conociste, el libro Joyful Militancy y qué te llevó a traducirlo. Alf: Yo conocí ese libro. Lo cuento un poquito en el prólogo, pero yo conocí ese libro, en Estados Unidos, porque yo tenía una banda. Yo toqué en una banda de hardcore punk muchos, muchos años, la batería. Y entonces así accedí a Estados Unidos y estando [00:02:00] en el underground americano, que fue una parte importante de mi de mi de mi vida, estando en en California en concreto.Me encontré ese libro como en una cafetería y yo me enamoré. Entonces lo traje y primero lo leí en inglés con alguna gente y muy lentamente empecé a trabajar con ese libro, traducir. Eso es una historia más larga que está ahí bien en el prólogo, pero bueno, llevo años como militando ese libro. También hubieron una serie de coincidencias de gente muy amable como Tumba a la Casa, como los autores canadienses, los derechos nos los regalaron. Se metió la gente de Traficantes de Sueno.O sea, en realidad hay un montón de gente. Es como una red de redes, ese libro y una serie de casualidades y favores y gestos agradables de mucha gente que logró que eso saliera como salió, la verdad. O sea, yo pienso mi irrepetible, esa esa serie de factores. Ajá. Chris: Ah chingón. Muy bien, Bueno, pues ese libro originalmente [00:03:00] se publicaron en 2016. A leer, reeler y traducir ese texto, tengo curiosidad por saber que crees que ha cambiado de este entonces, o qué diferencias principales has visto entre el radicalismo rígido descrito en el libro de la anglosfera o America norte, Anglosajona y la hispanesfera o Latinoamérica? Alf: Este? Pues muchas cosas que decir, no. La parte que confirmé yo fui trabajando ese libro, eh? Porque digamos que yo, todavía este año presenté ese libro. O sea, y le fue muy bien en Costa Rica. Fue la última. A mí se me acabaron los ejemplares. Y digamos, terminé mi labor con con Militancia en Costa Rica hace dos, tres meses.No es tanto, no? O sea todavía después de la del programa de radio con Pamela, se hizo en Costa Rica de presentación y le fue muy bien, eh? Y se [00:04:00] reimprimió ese sí. Ese libro fue un éxito de muchas maneras, no? Y fíjate a mí. Una cosa que con por me pasaban los años, no me gustó, es que yo siento que tiene un lado como muy liberal, osea, hay un lado donde es demasiado suave, no? O sea, al criticar lo rígido, siento que se pasa de flexible, por decir así. Entonces, y eso pasa un poco como con ciertos radicalismos del norte, que tienen que ver con la retórica de la amistad de la ternura como tan enfocados en el cuidado.Y así, yo siento que sin querer como por llevarle la contraria al opuesto, como el machismo lo rígido, bla, bla, bla, caen en una cosa un poco... o sea yo siendo que ese el libro o por lo menos mi lectura de ese libro, ya estas alturas, si lo siendo demasiado suave, porque yo creo que la parte negativa de militar y de organizarse, pues es importante, no, eh?Es importante de hablar, no? Entonces, cierto que en el libro, se pasa de buena onda, por [00:05:00] decirlo asi. Creo que por eso es un éxito porque hay lado "pop" en ese libro, un lado suavecito, dulcecito, que se mastica bien. Y está bien para los activismo, pero hay una parte en mi que dice bueno, pero hay que hablar del resentimiento, hay que hablar del odio.Hay que hablar de la importancia de romper entre nosotras, de pelearnos entre nosotros, sin caer en el castigo y la culpa y la persecución. Pero yo sí, creo que la ruptura o la negatividad en general ese el libro no lo logra del todo. Habría que ir a otros lados y pienso que de un año para acá, desde que se recrudeció el genocida ahora, pues justo toca repensar el antiimperialismo, toca repensar cosas que no pueden ser tan flexibles, no? O sea, pues están matando, están cayendo bombas y no se trata de vamos a ver si nos cae el 20 o no, o cuando nos cae el 20.Pues hay un imperio gestionando un genocidio que se recrudeció muy fuerte el último año. Y eso implica, se endurece, se endurece. O sea, ha cambiado el panorama político. Y hay [00:06:00] procesos donde podemos ser muy flexibles y pacientes, pero hay procesos donde no, donde hay que responder porque la bomba te ca en la cabeza, o sea, y ya está.Entonces me recuerdo un poco como en los del paso de los 60s a los 70s, o el paso hacia los 20, no? O sea, históricamente esto ha pasado. Se acaba el hipismo y y llega la guerrilla. Se acaba el anarquismo y empieza el partido comunista. O sea, hay momentos donde la historia te come y se vuelve un poquito más pues no te voy a decir duro, pero pero sí, incluso en el norte, los anarquistas que venían de escribir ese libro como muy ticunistas se están volviendo más de izquierda, más revolucionario, más leninistas mucho. Y yo creo que eso tiene que ver, bueno, una especie el leninismo, pues moderno o buena onda.El tipo zapatismo en versión anglo, pero yo creo que eso tiene que ver con las condiciones actuales. Yo creo que antes de la pandemia, después de la pandemia, son dos planetas, tanto por el reconocimiento de genocidia, como porque lo que se [00:07:00] hizo toda la década que para mí acaba en pandemia. Pues tenía un lado muy chido, pero también a un lado muy de todo es válido.La insurrección ya está aquí. Y pues ahora decimos no, pues no está aquí. No estamos parando a Estados Unidos este el imperio, no lo estamos parando. En otros momentos de la historia, si se la podido o poner ciertos límites al imperialismo." No del todo, pero se han ganado algunas luchas.Entonces, bueno, ese libro creo que fue de su época. O sea, 2016 y ese anarquismo de la amistad y de hay que conectar y fluir y todo ese lado que para un poco hippie. Creo que es muy de su momento, de la década pasada, pero yo creo que esa época, ya no es la nuestra, por las por las condiciones. O sea, porque estamos reaccionando y respondiendo y organizándonos frente a otros problemas.Chris: Claro, claro. Y si podrias actualizarlo en tus propios palabras, cuáles serían los temas más importantes [00:08:00] para cambiar o reemplazar? Alf: O sea, mira te voy a contar de otro libro, pero también es del norte.Entonces, pues no me encanta darle tanto entre ellos, pero un libro que, por ejemplo, le respondería fuerte de ese libro, sería este que me regalaban los de Traficantes, ahora que trabaje con ellos en en Madrid, que se llama Hacia Una Nueva Guerra Civil Mundial, de Lazzarato, no?Entonces digo, lo que pasa es que él es un leninista, no? Entonces, le pega duro, le pega duro. O sea, pero esto ha pasado siempre, pero hay varias banda que está respondiendo, no? O sea, por ejemplo, en el caso de este libro que te a acaba de mencionar Lazzarato.Pues él dice que los últimos 50 años, incluido militancia, que estaría al final de 50 años, lo político como tal no se habló? Entonces, si le aplicas Lazzarato a Militancia Alegre, efectivamente, nunca se habla de que a ver, o sea, el gobierno estadounidense control el mundo y va ganando. O sea, y hubieron luchas en los 60s, 70s, que lograron más o menos parar [00:09:00] ese imperialismo, los liberaciones nacionales, por ejemplo.Las luchas de empezamos por Vietnam, Malher y Cuba y acabando con otras. Si más o menos se le pudo parar a ese imperialismo de ese momento? Pero por ejemplo, Militancia en ni un solo momento habla de política en un sentido duro, no? O sea anti-Trump, por ejemplo, anti-global como global north o norte y global. O sea, en el sentido que gobiernan en el mundo, no?Y eso no se habla no? O sea, en ningún momento se dice bueno, nosotras, como norte, tenemos una deuda con el sur, no solo económica, sino política, no? O sea, en cuanto a no permitir la autonomía de los sur. Y palestina y Líbano es el, pues es el caso más extremo, no? Aunque aquí es lo mismo, no? O sea, la lucha la guerra contra los zapatistas es el mismo genocidio, con la misma bala. O sea el mismo inversionista, las mismas ganancias. Es el mismo genocidio. Entonces, pero no hablar de eso, no hablar de lo meramente político, [00:10:00] no? O sea de como Morena trabaja para el gobierno gringo y mata a los zapatistas y los centroamericanos. Al no hablar de este tipo de cosas como duramente políticas.O sea, como Trump controla a la milicia mexicana, la la la. Pues sí que es un libro hippie, no? O sea, en el sentido de que, ahí los leninistas tienen un punto. En este caso, Lazzarato pero mucha otra banda, al contestarle a la banda anárquica. Si muy chida la amistad y muy chida la... Lets tune in.O sea, está bien, pero tú estás parada en un mundo que de beneficia de destruir este mundo donde tú y yo estamos parada, no? Entonces, de muchas maneras: lo real, lo simbólico en lo económico. El turismo, para mí solo es un capítulo de esa serie de industrias de muerte. Entonces no, al no hablarlo.Yo pienso que es un libro que omite el lugar de enunciación principal, que es el imperio si habla del imperio, pero yo siento que si le faltó lo político político. Osea, como el norte domina y controla [00:11:00] al sur, el gobierno del norte en concreto. Al no hablar eso pues si hizo darle un libro que pues no sé cómo va a envejecer. O sea, digo, bueno, a ver cómo le va, porque porque sí que sirve para lo que sirvió Tiqqun y esas cosas en su momento que era contestarle a la izquierda vertical, por decir así. Pero ese momento, por lo menos en el norte, ya pasó, no? Y ellos esos mismos ya regresaron a la verticalidad.O sea, los que atacaron al leninismo, estamos en esta otra. Entonces chistosasto porque ellos tienen sus propios ciclos y nosotras tenemos otros ciclos de lucha, no? Y otras genealogías y otras retóricas. O sea, es muy diferente. Ahí la traducción. Por eso milita tanto ese libro porque, había que defender nuestro propio contexto, no?Y decir bueno, es la genealogia de ellos, la nuestra tiene otras conceptos. O sea, ha ganado guerras y revoluciones. Hay muchos triunfos en nuestra historia del sur. De hecho, en la del norte hay más derrotas y en cambio, [00:12:00] las liberaciones nacionales, pues prácticamente todas triunfaron, si las piensas, contra el imperialismo. Claro que ya no está de moda hablar de eso porque de colonial ya está en otra... ya se fue a otro lado. No? La mayoría de de anticolonial ya no está viniendo su genealogía en las luchas de liberación nacional y o la violencia?Ya la violencia pasó de moda y justo este libro tiene algo de eso? Como de no hay que hablar de cómo en México tuvimos que tirar balazos para recuperarlo un poco que tenemos. No! Hay que hablar de la amistad del amor, la ternura. Esa parte es la que yo pienso que ya no le habla mucho a nuestro tiempo y a ver qué va a pasar después, a ver qué va a pasar después.No, aunque tienes utilidad, no? O sea, mucha gente que está en el activismo vive con mucho, cariño de ese libro y está bien. O sea, Creo que está bien. Yo creo que le falta la parte política y negativa, pero bueno, no lo pudimos pedir todo a un solo libro. No. Eso es lo que hicieron los europeos con nosotros, traer la biblia y [00:13:00] matarnos pretexto de un solo libro. Entonces yo creo que no hay que caer. Eso es, es colonial quererle pedir todo a un solo libro. Si ese libro dio lo que tuvo que dar en su contexto y ese contexto para mí pasó este listo. O sea, fue una herramienta útil que respondió y ya este lo que sigue. Chris: Pues sí, este recuerdo que hubo una, una nota de pie en en el libro, de Silvia Federici y la tengo.La cita aquí decía que"lo que más importa es descubrir y recreer la memoria colectiva de las luchas pasadas. En los Estados Unidos, hay un intento sistemático de destruir esta memoria. Y ahora esto se está extendiendo por todo el mundo. Revivir la memoria de las luchas del pasado nos hace sentir ser parte de algo más grande que nuestras vidas individuales y de esta manera de un nuevo sentido a lo que estamos haciendo y nos da coraje, porque nos hace tener menos miedo en lo que [00:14:00] nos puede pasar individualmente." Y siento que hay algo allá como también la, no sé si está impulsado desde arriba o si es solo una falta de memoria, pero sí, siento que es, es muy fuerte que hay una falta de linaje, en la política en el día de hoy, en los momentos sociales contemporáneos. Pero pues, quería preguntarte un poco de tus experiencias también con el turismo. Me gustaría preguntarle de qué tipo de reacciones recibiste, recibieron cómo resultado del podcast y si esas conversaciones cambiaron sus ideas sobre los temas tratados.Alf: Este una parte había que preguntárselo directo a Pame porque yo creo que ella lo vivió a su forma también. Pero bueno, pues fue muy chido. Primero que nada, lo lo bonito. Ese programa varias cosas. Primero, ese programa fue apoyado por el instituto de estudios anarquistas americano, y eso [00:15:00] fue lindo, tener el apoyo. O sea, no precarizarnos tanto. Y tampoco tener que pedirle dinero a gente de mierda para hacer co chidas no, eso siempre se siente bien. Como no traicionar el contenido, o sea que vaya mucho la forma con el fondo, no. Entonces, de entrada, eso fue muy alegre. De segunda gran alegría, yo siempre trabajo a puerta cerrada.Yo soy un poco celosa de mi trabajo. Entonces, pues a abrir la puerta y trabajar con no solo dos, vieron un podcast que éramos cuatro, cinco. Eso es rarísimo. Yo nunca había hecho eso. Yo no suelo hacer eso. Si, trabajo con gente, pero no con el micrófono, normalmente no, eh?Siempre trabaj o con grupos y movimientos y cosas, pero digamos que a puerta cerrada por decir así o o coyunturas específicas. Entonces, primero la congruencia que yo siento que tuvo ese programa, como alinearnos en un anarquismo internacionalista, que yo creo que hay que recuperar.El internacionalismo en general, eh? Y creo que a [00:16:00] veces la lucha contra el turismo sin querer se vuelve muy nacionalista y no distingue entre migrante y turista esas cosas, como en un México, es mejor que todo lo demás. Un poco raro, pero bueno, antes de perderme, yo creo que ahí hubo un gesto internacionalista lindo.O sea, entre anarquistas del norte con los del sur primero y segundo, pues, abrir el micro porque que yo no es algo que suelo o solía hacer hasta hace hasta este año, por decir, o sea, yo llevo en un monólogo de locutora varios años porque mi parte social la hago cuerpo a cuerpo, por decir así. Y ya te podría platicar muchas cosas.Pero a mí me emociono muchísimo el programa con Tejiendo a la Organización Revolucionaria, eh? La verdad me encantó. O sea, a mí ellos me parece que hacen un trabajo importante. Y me parece que nuestro tiempo se está pensando desde los revolucionarios también. No necesariamente como la decada pasada la insurreccional y el todo se vale.Este, yo creo que está [00:17:00] cambiando un poco esos enfoques y justo ellos que llevan más de 20 años y son como 50 personas organizadas desde abajo con mucha claridad y mucha fuerza. Pues hicimos un puente muy chido, no entre en anarquismo y otras partes de la izquierda radical, que normalmente no nos damos la mano y no platica.O sea, no es común ni es fácil. Y cuando se da, suele ser tenso. Y no hubo para mí nada de tensión, al revés. Hubo una complementación muy chida contorno. Es el último capítulo de Emergente. Bueno, o sea, y siento que conecta con Militancia Alegre. O sea, llamarla en militancia y no "activismo alegre" era una provocación de los autores.Y yo creo que movimiento es como ?, entre muchos otros que se mencionan justos son militantes, no activistas, no? O sea que el activista tiene genealogía muy del norte y muy de los noventas para acá. Y yo creo que ellos como que leídos por "los cool" que Militancia Alegre sigue siendo el libro más cool, como que no suelen voltear, la gente cool, no suele voltear a ver a ese tipo de militancias como Thor. [00:18:00] Todos estuvieron muy chidos, pero yo le tengo especial cariño, a ese último, porque sí, pienso que hay que pensar alianzas insólitas, como todas las izquierdas radicales, tratar de articular. Y para mí, eso lo más cercano fue contorno. Y yo lo sigo reescuchando. Y hay cosas que me dejar pensando, por ejemplo, lo que dicen de los sectores de la clase trabajadora, que hay un sector indígena, entonces se pelean entre ellos y como son sectorizados, en fin a mí, hay varias cosas que ellos me hacen pensar. Me hacen pensar mucho. Y su chamba es muy chida. Solo que, como no es la más cool y como nice. No tiene este super diseño ni nada. Pues mucha gente no les presta atención. Entonces yo, para mí, fue importante darles el micro a ellos y más bien me faltaron programas con ellos, la verdad.Entonces, para mí, eso fue muy lindo, con el pretexto del libro, porque la verdad, casi ni hablamos o muy poquito. Ya haber podido entrevistar, por ejemplo, a Raquel Gutiérrez. De poder pues yo hubiera [00:19:00] entrevistado a John Holloway. O sea, yo me hubiera seguido. Lo que pasa es que la chamba entrevistadora es muy distinta a la que yo hago como locutora, o sea, es otro camino. Y pues, el recurso. Pues no lo hay. Claro. Claro. Porque esa lo pudimos hasta pagar un poquitito de dinero a la gente que entrevistamos. Pudimos autocobrar un poquitito. Pagarle a la diseñadora. Fue muy distinto a todo lo que yo hago. No este ese ese programa.Insisto por el apoyo internacionalista que poco o mucho, pues fue muy lindo tener, porque normalmente no se puede pagar entrevistas y cosas, que es chistoso tanto tanto de lucha de clases, con compas que pu pues obviamente les cuesta venir para acá. Chris: Ya no, pues es muy difícil, pero sí, fue un episodio muy bonito. Y lo voy a poner en el sitio web d El Fin de Turismo cuando lanzamos este podcast y también por los que quieren saber, es el último episodio de Alegría Emergente. Pues, hablando de tus obras Alf [00:20:00] en Pepitas de Calabaza, exploras algunos temas periférico de turismo, desde la Merida en la que creciste, los chiqui loteros o aquellos que dividen grandes lotes en lotes pequeños para venderlos a un precio normalmente superior, a veces a extranjeros. Es uno de esos temas.Cómo influyó tu tiempo en Merida en tu comprensión del turismo? Alf: Primero, extender un poco la la invitación a la lectura de mi trabajo. Este el tema de la propiedad y del turismo y del colonialismo, básicamente atraviesa toda toda mi obra, pero medida en concreto que que te interesa con Pepitas también es algo que menciono en el libro nuevo.Él No Existe Dique Capaz de Contar y hablo específicamente de cómo el turismo, la industria del turismo ha ido como arrebatándonos a quienes venimos de las clases populares. Crecimos abajo y demás, sobre todo el placer, el ocio. Olvídate de la [00:21:00] tierra. Si el acceso al agua, una serie de cosas, no.Entonces ahí se trabaja un poco más elabor adamente pero efectivamente desde Pepitas. Pues a mí, es un tema que me, central en mi trabajo. El tema del colonialismo, porque para mí, hablar de turismo se hablar de colonialismo actual, colonialismo interno externo, pero es el colorismo vigente. O sea, es un desplazamiento, parte de un proceso de desplazamiento em.Entonces, en Pepitas, pues efectivamente eso es un protagonista, que digamos es el burgués nacional, por decirlo como muy teóricamente el chiquilotero, le decimos regionalmente, que es el es el terrateniente. No es Carlos Slim. O sea, no es el más rico, el lo rico, pero es, digamos, el terrateniente de mediano alcance que puede comprar tierra y fragmentarla y venderla, especular con la tierra, al final. Pero en el sur resiste, el año pasado, para para subir el tono a lo político otra vez... El el año pasado en el sur [00:22:00] resiste, nos decía el Congreso Nacional Indígena, que la mitad de la tierra en México es propiedad social, no? Y esto lo platicaba presentando no Existe Dique con Yasnaya Aguilar porque Oaxaca es un caso distinto y da mucha envidia.Tiene una tercera forma de tierra que en la tierra comunal, pero no vamos entrar a las legalidades. El sureste de México, como representa a Paco y hablo en mi segundo libro también este de ah, el turismo ha entrado porque legalmente, desde el 92 se cambió la constitución y se ha roto la propiedad ejidal y ha entrado la propiedad privada, no?Entonces, para llevarlo lo meramente político, luchar en contra del turismo hoy en México sería exigir que no se pueda vender, como en Oaxaca existe la propiedad comunal, no en ninguna otra parte del país hasta donde yo sé, que no se pueda legalmente vender esa tierra. Entonces, para no abstraer, o sea para ir a concreto, el turismo avanza, por el primermundista, coludido con [00:23:00] con con el tercermundista de la clase alta, en este caso, Paco, para romper la la propiedad social y meter la propiedad individual o privada, no? Si hubiera un mecanismo que la revolución mexicana nos heredó, ese mecanismo legal no podría existir el turismo en México, por lo menos no legalmente. Entonces, como desde el 92, se terminó de caer lo que nos quedaba de revolucion mexicana y que se peleó a balazos. Hay que recuperar esa negativa. En el 92 se cambia, es perdemos eso que habíamos ganado la revolución. Y entonces el turismo ya explotan. Y eso es muy notorio para gente que somos del sur.O sea, si yo te cuento cómo fui a Tulum por primera vez, y cuando volví a Tulum 10 o 20 anos después, o cómo fui a Zipolite por primera vez. Entonces, me gustaría preguntarte, qué piensas sobre los efectos de las redes sociales en los contextos de las luchas contemporáneas, pero también bajo de este contexto de turismo, de las invasiones en México. Entonces mi pregunta es, cómo crees que las redes sociales contribuyen al radicalismo rígido?Alf: Eh? Pues mira, yo creo que no solo contribuyen radicalismo rígido, o sea, respondiendo muy rápidamente. Yo creo que el algoritmo está diseñado y eso lo sabe la mayoría, espero, supongo este para generar estos echo-chambers que le llaman. Tiene todo que ver, no?Y yo creo que eso, el pensamiento crítico, como le nos queremos llamar a este el otro lado antifascista sea, no hemos tomado suficientemente en serio eso como un enemigo, no? Pero para contestarte, y yo creo que las redes sociales sostienen al fascismo actual, más que cualquier otra cosa, yo creo que más que ninguna otra cosa. Y por eso nos gobiernan celebridades y estamos en una fase nueva de la política como espectáculo. Estamos en otro momento, entonces, como siempre la izquierda o como lo quieras llamar, el pensamiento, el antifascismo general, que a mi me da igual los conceptos, como siempre estamos lentas, lentas en reaccionar. Entonces eso, yo creo que estamos lentas porque quieren ellos porque nos han tronado la la salud mental. Y eso hace que nos aletargamos en responder con la fuerza con la que ellos, o sea nos faltan influencers un poco más rudos, para decirlo como es, o sea un poco más tan fuertes y provocadores como ellos.Yo [00:30:00] siento que los influencers de este lado hacen un trabajo importante, pero muy suave. Y la izquierda, sí. Sí, le tienen miedo a cagarla. Cuando no se dan cuenta que lo que están haciendo ellos es provocar para mover, no? O sea, la gente sabe que es una exageración. Los votantes de Milei de Bukele y de Trump saben que dicen mucha, es un borracho, que está diciendo pendejadas, pero van y votan. Chris: Claro. Alf: La izquierda no está logrando subir el tono. O sea, al controlar el algoritmo, el imperio, lo que está controlando son las imágenes y las narrativas. Las gestionan, a eso me refiero con imperialismo. O sea, vemos lo que el imperio quiere que veamos y se acabó. O sea, es una nueva fase porque no necesariamente tienes al gringo gobernando a tu país como lo fue antes de la revoluciones nacionales, por ejemplo, pero tienes el celular que sólo te va a mostrar lo que le conviene al gobierno gringo o mayoritariamente.Entonces quebrar el algoritmo es quebrar el imperio, o sea la verdad, o sea, no es otra cosa que eso . Claro que es una industria que ha [00:51:00] ido ganando mucha fuerza, pero para mí se habría un contra turismo y un peregrinaje.Yo siento que hago peregrinaje. Fíjate, qué es lo que destruyó el o el turismo está reedificando cuando trato de acercarme los movimientos sociales, desde mi clase, o sea, desde mi color piel y todos mis contradicciones. Pues yo sigo a veces caminando, con gente que me ha enseñado cosas que nunca van a salir en el celular.Adrede no sabemos la verdad. Aunque las posten, no me van a llegar. Y entonces yo creo que si hay un contraturismo y un yo pienso que tendríamos que ir a buscar en el tema del peregrinaje o la hospitalidad radical . Por qué? Porque había un tema sagrado, no? O sea, había algo sagrado en el peregrino. No era turismo nada más de placer, aunque tenía a su lado del compartir y ocioso, pero para mí se recuperáramos la capacidad de defendernos, varias cosas que nos han quitado, la capacidad de hablar que yo creo que nos la quitaran a base de premios y views, no a base de castigos, pues habría un [00:52:00] peregrinaje, por el lado político, no?.Por ejemplo, me cuentan que el año que viene va haber en Brasil. No, mucha gente va a estar yendo a Brasil de diferentes latitudes. Y ese para mí, eso es contra turismo y peregrinaje político sagrado. No. Entonces la gente va o el Anticop, vas, o sea, el ir es súper importante porque tiras el suelo de la basura y estás cuerpo a cuerpo con una realidad que que el algoritmo imperialista quiere que no nos llegue, tu salir. Claro. El problema es que te insista. Está tan de moda, "muerte al turismo," que no es fácil hablar de que hay contraturismos muy importantes. Siempre lo han habido no? O sea, cuando los zapatistas dicen vengan, pasan cosas que no pasan.O sea que hay que ir, no. A huevo, hay que ir. Entonces, y eso es un contraturismo. Y el zapatista está super consciente. Ese no quedarse en el hotel, ese tú llevar a la gente a pasear y mostrarle los lugares ocultos de la ciudad, no los lugares como limpios y en inglés. O sea, es algo que en el Punk y en el anarquismo de esas cosas está muy metido, no?Y yo tengo casa en muchos lugares del mundo porque también he dado casa a mucha gente de muchos lugares del mundo, desde muy chavita, desde tours de skate cuando tenía 14 años, llegaba gente de todos lados y se quedaban en mi casa y yo no me daba cuenta de que es algo, que si tú te vas al peregrinaje, la hospitalidad radical o como queremos llamar, a lo previo a los boom's inmobiliarios, turísticos. Pues siempre existió no? Siempre he existido, no? Entonces nada. Para mí es raro hablarlo porque porque para mí, no se cuestiona, no? Entonces, por lo tanto, esa práctica que a mí lo interesa es la práctica, no tanto la conceptualización o la imagen. Pues no la logramos reproducir y va ganando el turismo comercial. Por darte otro ejemplo, varios pueblos en el sureste también me hablaban de turismo alternativo. Y, por ejemplo, armaban varias cosas con los pueblos alrededor pidiéndole permiso, volviendo al al 40% de la propiedad social y esa parte la constitución que habría que pedir que nos regresen, le pedían permiso a todos los ejidos. Entonces ibas en bici o pajareando [00:57:00] las cosas que hacen turismo normal, pero hablaban con los dueños de los ejidos con el de la propiedad social que yo y los zapatistas y mucha gente defendemos y le decían bueno, "voy a traer gringos que que como quieren que le hagamos. Pues da tu caguama" o "cuánto les vas a cobrar?" Y para mí es contraturismo, fíjate, y caminando con ellos en esos territorios. Lo aprendes. O sea, escuchando programas de radio y leyendo libros va a estar cabrón. O sea, hay que ir, no este y fíjate que interesante, porque ese 40% de esa propiedad social, pues bien, que podría recibir la lana, que se le da el hotel? No? Porque mucha de esta gente está muy precarizada, entonces no simplemente decir "ah, a la verga, el dinero en el turismo," sino a quien se lo damos y por qué. Cuando fíjate, yo veo en los pueblos ya iniciativas muy chidas de redistribución para este lado. Hay un montón de cooperativas muy chidas que redistribuyen lo opuesto a lo que hay un hotel. Pero volvemos al tema, pues como "no [00:58:00] son cool" y no tienen el diseño más chido y y no son influencers."Pues nadie se entera que que hay prácticas comunalistas que incluyen la movilidad de entre pueblos y entre personas muy chidas. O sea, la verdad. Yo he visto muchas proyectos de cooperativismo contraturístico increíbles. Entonces, bueno, eso. La gente que hace caminantes informativas, como pedagogías de caminantes como contraturísticas. Hay un montón de gente y un montón de cosas, historiadores radicales, ahí que hacen sus sus contradiscursos y llevan a la gente. Osea, yo creo que hay muchas, para mi, hay mucha esperanza ahí. Lo que pasa es que no la conectamos. O sea justo el algoritmo hace que no la alcances a ver y que te quedes, o sea, esa información, pon tu que la postan, no te va a llegar, no? "Hay que dejar de movernos." Yo no lo vivo. Tampoco hay que ultra movernos. Yo pienso que el nomadismo en la clase media ya es una forma de de despojo también. Hay como no forzado en las clases medias. No abajo. Pero bueno, yo no lo vivo con esta doom ccomo sea. Condena. O sea, como de, ah, todo movimiento está de la verga, que hay gente muy esencialista que tu dice. "Todo turismo es una mierda."Y diría, bueno, pues vives con mucha culpa. Wey está muy bien. Se llama catolicismo. Y y lo conozco muy bien. Hay otras formas. O sea sin tanta culpa, le puedes dar tu lana a gente chida y no va a solucionar el problema, pero vaya que está más chido que dárselo al hotel y al colonialista y al que rompió la propiedad social.O sea, estás si algo haces, no es mínimo, pero algo haces. Pues eso a mi me ha tocado ver cositas que digo bueno, aquí hay algo no, [01:00:00] aquí hay algo. Pasa que también muchas veces iniciativas como rechazan "lo cool" no quieren ser muy visibles y no quieren ser muy famosas, pues ahí es el problema del comercio justo y el comercio alternativo, que busca, busca hacer un poco invisible a veces.Eso es problemático, no? Porque entonces, como mandamos a la banda con la banda chida, si la banda chida no quiere que le manden banda siempre. O sea, no quiere hacer negocio, no quiere hacer negocio porque se vuelve capitalistas. En fin. Pero ese, ese es otro problema, no el problema del cooperativismo.Chris: Claro. El ‘ingeniero', el hombre más rico de México y América Latina, nuevamente dio de qué hablar en su tradicional conferencia de prensa anual. Desde telecomunicaciones, economía, una gran flor a Sheinbaum, su opinión sobre los aranceles y unos derechos que no quiere perder.

La Syrie vit une période de transition historique depuis la chute du régime de Bachar el-Assad en décembre 2024. C'est un moment de grandes aspirations pour les différentes populations du pays, dont une communauté plutôt méconnue, installée au sud de la Syrie. La ville de Soueïda, à une centaine de kilomètres au sud de Damas, est surnommée « La Petite Venezuela ». RFI a pu s'y rendre pour un reportage exclusif. Notre envoyée spéciale Mélissa Barra a rencontré Carmelinda Rouslan qui fabrique des petits drapeaux syriens en macramé, ces drapeaux de la révolution ont trois étoiles et une bande verte et ils étaient interdits sous le régime de Bachar el-Assad : « Nous les avons tissés rapidement, il fallait faire vite. C'est une nouvelle vie qui commence, pleine d'espoir. Les gens ont besoin d'une vie meilleure. » Soueïda est le fief de la plus grosse communauté syrienne vénézuélienne. Cinq artisanes travaillent dans la boutique de Carmelinda. Elles confectionnent des sacs, des accessoires de décoration et même des poupées vêtues de costumes traditionnels vénézuéliens. « Ces femmes travaillent », explique Carmelinda, « ce n'est pas facile car l'économie est en récession et les prix sont élevés. Les femmes doivent faire vivre leurs familles. Comme au Venezuela, toute la famille travaille ».Carmelinda Rouslan est née à Caroca, au nord-est du Venezuela. Elle vit en Syrie, le pays de ses parents, depuis qu'elle a 14 ans. Dans un mélange d'espagnol et d'arabe, elle explique que de nombreux clients ont les mêmes origines. « La terre vénézuélienne est à jamais dans nos cœurs », ajoute-t-elle.Les habitants de Soueïda ont tous un cousin ou une tante en Amérique latine. Selon un historien local, une première vague de Syriens a émigré dans les années 50 au Venezuela pour travailler dans les champs et dans les mines d'or. Puis, après le coup d'État en 1970 de Hafez el-Assad, le père de Bachar, d'autres sont partis pour trouver un emploi dans les exploitations pétrolières. Certains enfants de ces générations sont rentrés en Syrie.Sawsan Almaaz en fait partie. Elle a ouvert dans le centre-ville un restaurant, où se retrouvent tous les mois les membres du groupe d'amitié Syrie Venezuela. « Quand les clients demandent des arepas vénézuéliennes - nos galettes de maïs traditionnelles – nous les préparons. » dit-elle. « On peut se procurer de la farine de maïs mais elle est chère. Elle est importée. L'ancien régime avait mis beaucoup d'impôts sur les produits d'importation. Ils coûtaient trois fois plus cher qu'un produit national. Le prix devrait baisser désormais. D'ailleurs, c'est déjà un peu le cas. »Durant les années 2000, le gouvernement vénézuélien a tissé des liens avec Bachar el-Assad. On dit qu'à ce moment-là, Soueïda a reçu le surnom de « Petite Venezuela ». « Quand Hugo Chavez était en vie, il est venu à Soueïda et a posé la première pierre du club vénézuélien de la ville. La moitié des habitants se sentent Vénézuéliens, par naissance ou par expatriation, ou bien parce que leurs enfants et petits-enfants le sont », explique Aida Hadefi, gérante d'une pharmacie et membre du club d'amitié. « Mon père et ma mère sont arrivés en bateau là-bas. Mes enfants sont nés au Venezuela. Ce pays est notre terre, notre mère. »2011 a marqué un moment décisif dans cette grande histoire de migrations. La guerre civile et la sanglante répression ont déclenché une nouvelle vague d'exil. « La Syrie est belle mais nous avons beaucoup souffert à cause de ce président. Qu'il brûle en enfer ! À cause de lui, nous avons été contraints à l'exil. Beaucoup de gens ont quitté le pays pour le Venezuela, la plupart depuis Soueïda. Maintenant nous sommes heureux. C'est la première fois que je peux en parler publiquement, car avant on pouvait vous couper la tête pour ça. Nous sommes âgés mais je pense au futur de nos enfants et de nos petits-enfants : j'espère que la Syrie va se relever et devenir meilleure qu'avant »La ville de Soueïda a manifesté au quotidien pour le départ de Bachar el-Assad. Elle a été relativement épargnée par la répression. So late last year when you got takeaways from our goals episode here, I hope that you're still applying them today. We're doing something different on this show. For most episodes. I divulge a lot of my best guidance. Some even quote that material. But why don't I acknowledge others great quotes maxims in aphorisms along with some of my own? And then I'll tell you what you can learn from them. So yes, today it's about axioms, adages, mantras and quotes, maxims and aphorisms. Some of these you've heard, others you probably haven't.   Keith Weinhold (00:02:28) - The first one is the only place you get money is from other people. Yeah. Isn't that so solidly true? You've never received any money in your life from yourself, unless you try to counterfeit it and give it to yourself. It's always been from other people. When you realize that the only place that you do get money is from others, you realize the value of relationships and connectivity. The next one comes from the brilliant entrepreneurial coach Dan Sullivan. You are 100% disciplined to your set of habits. Gosh, this is a terrific reminder about the importance of how you have to often uncomfortably apply something new in order to up your skill set up your game. If you keep getting distracted, well, then that's a habit, and then you'll soon become disciplined to the habit of distraction. The next two go together, and they're about market investing. Nobody is more bearish than a sold out bull. And the other is bears make headlines. Bulls make money. Really the lesson there is that they're both reminders that it's better to stay invested rather than on the sidelines.   Keith Weinhold (00:03:53) - The next two are related to each other as well. Albert Einstein said, strive not to be a person of success, but rather to be a person of value. And then similarly, a more modern day spin on that. Tony Hsieh, the late CEO of Zappos. He said, Chase the vision, not the money and the money will end up following you. And the lesson here is, well, we'd all like more money, but if you focus on the money first, well then it doesn't want to follow you. You need to provide value and build the vision first, and then the money will follow and you know, to me, it's kind of like getting the girl if you act too interested in her and you get too aggressive, it's a turnoff. But if you quietly demonstrate that you're a person of value, or subtly suggest somehow in a way that their life could be improved by having a relationship with you or being around you, then they're more likely to follow. And yes, I'm fully aware that this is a heterosexual male analogy, and I use it because that is what I am.   Keith Weinhold (00:04:58) - So if you're something else, I'm sure you can follow along with that. The next quote is from Susie Kasam. Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. Gosh, isn't this so on point? It's about overcoming the fear in just trying. And then if you know that you've lived a life of trying, you're going to have fewer regrets. Thomas Edison yes, the light bulb guy in the co-founder of General Electric, he said the value of an idea lies in the using of it. Oh, yeah, that's a great reminder that knowledge isn't really power. It's knowledge plus action that creates power because an idea that remains idle doesn't do anyone any good. Hey, we're just getting started talking about investing in real estate quotes today here on episode 508 of get Rich education. And, you know, remarkably, these maxims and catchphrases, they're usually just 1 or 2 sentences, but yet they are so often packed with the wisdom such that these takeaways and lessons are like your three favorite ones today. They can change the trajectory of your entire life.   Keith Weinhold (00:06:20) - The next quote is one that I have said carefully bought real estate has the best risk adjusted return in. The world. And I don't need to explain that because we talk about that in some form or another on the show many weeks. Albert Schweitzer said success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you're doing, you will be successful. Yeah, I'd say that one is mostly true. Just mostly, though, there's no attribution here. On this next one, you might have heard the aphorism money is a terrible master, but an excellent servant. Yeah. Now, I've heard that one for a long time, and it took me a while to figure out what it really meant. And here's my take on that. If you make money, the master will. Then you'll, like, do almost anything. You'll trade your time for money. You'll sell your time for dollars instead. If you invest passively and it creates leveraged equity and income streams, oh, then money serves you.   Keith Weinhold (00:07:28) - It's no longer the master. That's what that means to me here in a real estate investor context. And, you know, it really underscores the importance of making money work for you. And is a follow up to last week's show. Whose money are we talking about here? Whose is it? It's focusing on getting other people's money to work for you, not just your own. Now, the next one is a quote that I've said on the show before, quite a while ago, though. And come on now, what would an episode about quotes, maxims and aphorisms be without some contribution from Mark Twain? Here Twain said, why not go out on a limb? That's where the fruit is. that's just so, so good in business and in so many facets of your life, constantly playing it safe is the riskiest thing that you can actually do. Because a risk averse investor places a ceiling on his or her potential in a risk averse person imposes an upper limit on their very legacy. In fact, episode 275 of the get Rich education podcast is named Go Out on Limb precisely because of this Twain quote.   Keith Weinhold (00:08:45) - So listen to that episode if you want to hear a whole lot more about that. It's actually one of Twain's lesser known quotes, but perhaps his best one. The next one comes from famous value investor Benjamin Graham. He said the individual investor should act consistently as an investor and not as a speculator. Okay, so what's the difference there? A speculator takes big risks in hopes of making large quick gains. Conversely, an investor focuses on risk appropriate strategies to pursue longer term goals, which is really consistent with being a prudent, disciplined real estate investor. Presidential advisor Bernard Baruch contributed this to the investing world. Don't try to buy at the bottom and sell at the top. It can't be done except by liars. yes. Tried to time the market. It might be tempting, but it rarely works because no one really knows when the market has reached its top or its bottom. All you can really hope to do is buy lower and sell higher. But you're never going to buy at the trough and sell at the peak.   Keith Weinhold (00:10:00) - And even buying lower and selling higher is harder to do than it sounds, even though everyone knows that's what they're supposed to do. Albert Einstein is back here, he said. Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it earns it. He who doesn't pays it. And as you've learned here on the show on previous episodes, compound interest. It does work arithmetically, but not in real life would apply to the stock market. Of course. My quote contribution to the investing world on this is compound interest is weak. Compound leverage is powerful. I broke that down just last week on the show, so I won't explain that again. Now, really, a central mantra in GR principle is don't live below your means, grow your means. But I must tell you, I can't really take credit for coining that particular one because from the rich dad world, the quote is don't live below your means, expand your means. But I did hear that from them first, and though it can't be certain, I think it was Sharon letter that coined that one.   Keith Weinhold (00:11:13) - A lot of people don't know this, but she was the original co-author of the book. Rich dad, Poor Dad with Robert Kiyosaki. And Sharon has been here on the show before, and if I have her back, I will ask her if she is the one that coined that. Don't live below your means. Expand. Your means. But yeah, I mean, what this quote really means is, in this one finite life that you have here on Earth, why in the world would you not only choose to live below your means, but actually take time and effort learning how to do a better job of living below your means when it just makes you miserable after a while, when instead you could use those same efforts to grow your means and you can only cut down so far. And there's an unlimited ceiling on the upside. And now there is one caveat here. I understand that if you're just getting on your feet, well, then living below your means might be a necessity for you in the short term.   Keith Weinhold (00:12:08) - And what's an example of living below your means? It's eating junk food because it's cheap and filling, expanding your means. That might be doing something like learning how to do a cost segregation to accelerate your depreciation. Write off on your 20 unit apartment building. But you know, even if you're in hardship, I still like live within your means more than the scarcity minded guidance of live below your means. Next is a terrific one, and it really reinforces the last quote a rich man digs for gold. A poor man is concerned with the cost of a shovel. Oh yeah, that's so good. And I don't know who to attribute that to. It's about growing your means and taking on and actually embracing calculated risks. Not every risk, calculated risk. And you can also live that regret free life this way. In fact, episode 91 of this show is called A Rich Man Digs for gold. So you can get more inspiration for that from that episode. Okay, this one comes from the commodities world where there are notoriously volatile prices.   Keith Weinhold (00:13:18) - How do you make a million? You start with 2 million. now, this next one is one that I don't really agree with that much. You really heard this a lot the last few years. It applies when you have a mortgage on a property, and that is the house is the liability and the debt is the asset. I know people are trying to be crafty. People kind of use this pithy quote when they're discussing how those that locked in at those artificially low mortgage rates years ago considered the debt so good that it's an asset. It's like, yeah, I know what you're saying. And I love good real estate debt and leverage and all that, of course. But really, for you, truly, then if the House is a liability and the debt is an asset like you're saying, then give away the house to someone else. If it's such a liability, and keep the debt to pay off yourself if it's really such an asset. A little humorous here. Next, Forbes magazine said, how do you make a million marry a millionaire? Or better yet, divorce one then more? Real estate ish is Jack Miller's quote how do you become a millionaire? Well, you borrow $1 million and you pay it off.   Keith Weinhold (00:14:31) - And I think we can all relate to that here at GRE. Better yet, borrow $1 million and don't pay it off yourself. Have tenants and inflation pay it down for you. And you know, inflation is getting to be a problem for any of these, like century old classic quotes that have the word millionaire in them. Because having a net worth of a million that actually used to mean you were wealthy, and now it just means you're not poor, but you might even be below middle class. Now, you probably heard of some of these next ones, but let's talk about what they mean. Warren Buffett said the stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient. And then Benjamin Franklin said an investment in knowledge pays the best interest. I mean, yeah, that's pretty on point stuff there when it comes to investing. Nothing will pay off more than educating yourself. So do some research before you jump in. And you've almost certainly heard this next one from Warren Buffett.   Speaker 4 (00:15:28) - You want to be greedy when others are fearful, and you want to be fearful when others are greedy.   Keith Weinhold (00:15:32) - That is, be prepared to invest in a down market and to get out in a soaring market. As per the philosophy of Warren Buffett, it's far too easy for investors to lose perspective when something big goes wrong. A lot of people panic and sell their investments. And looking at history. The markets recovered from the 2008 financial crisis. They recover from the dotcom crash. They even recover from the Great Depression, although it took a long time. So they're probably going to get through whatever comes next as well, if you really follow that through what Buffett said there. Well, then at a time like this now, I mean, you could be looking at shedding stocks as they continue to approach and break all time highs. Carlos Slim, hello said with a good perspective on history, we can have a better understanding of the past and present and thus a clear vision of the future. Sure. Okay, that quote like that probably didn't sound very snappy and it's really simple, but he's telling us that if you want to know the future, check on the past.   Keith Weinhold (00:16:39) - Not always, but often. It will tell you the future directory, or at least that trajectories range. And this is similar to how I often say take history over hunches, like when you're applying economics to real estate investing. Now this next guy has been a controversial figure, but George Soros said it's not whether you're right or wrong that's important, but how much money you make when you're right and how much you lose when you're wrong. Okay, I think that quote means that too many investors become almost obsessed with being right, even when the gains are small, winning big, and cutting your losses when you're wrong. They are more important than being right. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos said given a 10% chance of a 100 times payoff, you should take that bet every time. All right. Now, that's rather applicable to the high flying risk of, say, investing in startup companies. We'll see. Bezos himself, he took a lot of those bets, a 10% chance at a 100 X payoff. And that is exactly why he's one of the richest people in the world.   Keith Weinhold (00:17:49) - Now, if you haven't heard of John Bogle before, you should know who he is. He co-founded the Vanguard Group, and he's credited with popularizing the very concept of the index fund. I mean, Bogle transformed the entire investment management industry. John Bogle said, don't look for the needle in the haystack. Just buy the haystack. Okay? If it seems too hard to say, find the next Amazon. Well, John Bogle came up with the only sure way to get in on the action. By buying an index fund, investors can put a little bit of money into every stock, and that way they never miss out on the stock market's biggest winners. They're only going to have a small part. And what that means to a real estate investor is, say, rather than buying a single property in a really shabby neighborhood, that neighborhood will drag down your one property. So to apply boggles by the whole haystack quote. What you would do then is raise money to buy the entire block, or even the entire neighborhood and fix it up, therefore raising the values of all of the properties.   Keith Weinhold (00:18:55) - Back to Warren Buffett. He had this analogy about the high jump event from track and field. He said, I don't look to jump over seven foot bars. I look around for one foot bars that I can step over. Yeah. All right. I mean, investors often do make things too hard on themselves. The value stocks that Buffett prefers, they frequently outperform the market, making success easier. Supposedly sophisticated strategies like short selling. A lot of times they lose money in the long run. So profiting from those is more difficult. Now, you might have heard the quote, and it's from Philip Fisher. He said the stock market is filled with individuals who know the price of everything but the value of nothing. Yeah. I mean, that's really another testament to the fact that investing without an education and research that's ultimately going to lead to pretty regrettable investment decisions. Research is a lot more than just listening to the popular opinion out there, because people often just then invest on hype or momentum without understanding things like a company's fundamentals or what value they create for society, or being attentive to price to earnings ratios.   Keith Weinhold (00:20:08) - Even Robert Arnott said in investing, what is comfortable is rarely profitable. You know, that's pretty on point at times. You have to step out of your comfort zone to realize any big gains. Know the boundaries of your comfort zone. Practice stepping out of it in small doses. As much as you need to know the market, you need to know yourself too. Can you handle staying in when everyone else is jumping out, or do you have the guts to get out during the biggest rally of the century? You've got to have the stomach to be contrarian and see it through. Robert Allen said. How many millionaires do you know who have become wealthy by investing in savings accounts? I rest my case. That's the end of what Robert G. Allen said. Yeah, though inflation could cut out the millionaires part. Yeah I mean point well taken. No one builds wealth through a savings account. Now a savings account might be the right place for your emergency fund. It has a role, but it's not a wealth builder.   Keith Weinhold (00:21:10) - I mean, since we left the gold standard back in 1971, so many dollars get printed most years that savers become losers. Which, hey, that does bring us to Robert Kiyosaki. He's been a guest on the show here with us for times now, one of our most frequent guests ever. Here he is. The risks at Port Arthur. And you probably know what I'm going to say. He is, he said. Savers or losers? Debtors or winners of something that your parents probably would never want to know that you subscribed to your grandparents, especially. Yes, he is one of the kings of iconoclastic finance quotes. And as you know, I've got some contributions to that realm myself. But what Kiyosaki is saying is if you save 100 K under a mattress and inflation is 5%, well, now after a year you've only got 95 K in purchasing power. So therefore get out of dollars and get them invested. Even better than if you can get debt tied to a cash flowing leveraged asset. In fact, episode 212 of this very show is named Savers are Losers.   Keith Weinhold (00:22:18) - Debtors are winners. So I go deep on that theme there. They generally get more real estate ish as we go here, including ones that you haven't heard before and dropping, quote, bombs here that absolutely have to be enunciated and brought to light ahead. We're having some fun today, looking at and breaking down some of the great investing quotes, maxims, and aphorisms. Andrew Carnegie said, the wise young man or wage earner of today invests his money in real estate. Another one for Mark Twain here by land. They're not making it any more. You probably heard one or both of those. And yeah, Twain's time predated that of those islands that are built in Dubai. But Twain's point is still well taken. There is an inherent scarcity in land. Louis Glickman drove the point home about real estate investing when he simply said, the best investment on Earth is Earth. A Hebrew proverb goes as far as saying he is not a fool man who does not own a piece of land.   Keith Weinhold (00:26:18) - Wow, that's pretty profound right there. And if you're a female listener, yes, many of these timeless quotes from yesteryear harken back to a period when all of the landowners were men. President Franklin D Roosevelt, he has a real estate quote that you probably heard, but let's see what I think about it. Let's talk about it. Here it is. Real estate cannot be lost or stolen, nor can it be carried away, purchased with common sense, paid for in full and managed with reasonable care. It is about the safest investment in the world. That's from FDR. That's pretty good. I just don't know about the paid in full part because you lost your leverage. FDR, Johnny Isakson, a US senator, said, in the real estate business, you learn more about people and you learn more about community issues. You learn more about life. You learn more about the impact of government, probably more than any other profession that I know of. And that's good, really on point stuff there.   Keith Weinhold (00:27:23) - If you're a direct real estate investor like we are here, you really learn those things. If you're in, say, a REIT, well, you're not going to be exposed to that type of knowledge in experiences. Hazrat Ali Khan is a spiritualist and he said, some people look for a beautiful place, others make a place beautiful. Yeah, that's some mystical motivation for the house flipper or the value add real estate syndicator right there, Political economist John Stuart Mill, he said something you've probably heard before. Landlords grow rich in their sleep without working, risking or economizing. Oh, yes, you can have a real estate quotes episode without that classic one. Although rather than landlords growing rich in their sleep, the phrase real estate investors is likely more accurate. Don't wait to buy real estate. Buy real estate and wait. You've surely heard that one. You might not know that it was actor Will Rogers with that particular attribution, entrepreneur Marshall Field said buying real estate is not only the best way, the quickest way, the safest way, but the only way to become wealthy, billionaire John Paulson said.   Keith Weinhold (00:28:45) - I think buying a home is the best investment any individual can make. That's what Paulson said. let's give Paulson the benefit of the doubt here. Although Robert Kiyosaki famously said that a house is not an asset because an asset puts money in your pocket and your home takes money out of your pocket, well, a home is something that you get to live in, build family memories in, and you do get some leverage if you keep debt on your own home. So maybe that's more of what's behind John Paulson's maxim there. Notable entrepreneur Jesse Jones. He said I have always liked real estate, farmland, pasture land, timberland and city property. I have had experience with all of them. I guess I just naturally like the good Earth, which is the foundation of all our wealth. Business mogul Tamir Sapir said if you're not going to put your money in real estate, where else? Yeah, I guess that's a good question. Anthony hit real estate professional. He said to be successful in real estate, you must always inconsistently put your client's best interests first.   Keith Weinhold (00:30:00) - When you do, your personal needs will be realized beyond your greatest expectations. Yeah, I think he's talking about being a team player there. And if you're a real estate agent, it's about putting your client's needs over yours. If it's a landlord, perhaps then you're thinking about putting your tenants first and meeting their needs so that they stay in your property longer. Here's a quote that I've got to say I don't understand. It's from real estate mogul and shark tank shark Barbara Corcoran. She says a funny thing happens in real estate. When it comes back, it comes back like gangbusters. I don't really know what that means, and I don't know what a gangbuster is yet. I see that quote all over the place. I can't explain why that would be popular. I don't get it at all now, novelist Anthony Trollope said it is a comfortable feeling to know that you stand on your own ground. Land is about the only thing that can't fly away. Entrepreneur Armstrong Williams is here with this gem. Now one thing I tell everyone is to learn about real estate.   Keith Weinhold (00:31:12) - Repeat after me. Real estate provides the highest returns, the greatest values in the least risk. Yeah, that's a real motivator of a quote. As long as one knows what they're doing and buys, right? All of that could very well be true from Armstrong Williams. It was none other than John de Rockefeller that said the major fortunes in America have been made in land. Yeah, it's just really plain and simple there. John Jacob Astor, he got specific and more strategic here. This is Astor. He said, buy on the fringe and wait by land near a growing city. Buy real estate when other people want to sell and hold what you buy. I mean, yeah, that's pretty much an all timer right there from Astor. Winston Churchill said land monopoly is not only monopoly, it is by far the greatest of monopolies. It is a perpetual monopoly, and it is the mother of all other forms of monopoly. Yeah, interesting from Churchill. And there's a good chance that you haven't heard that one before.   Keith Weinhold (00:32:26) - Perhaps. So say, for example, if one owns real estate on all four corners of a busy street intersection, then that quote applies. It's like you've got a monopoly on a popular intersection. Russell Sage said. This real estate is an imperishable asset, ever increasing in value. It is the most solid security that human ingenuity has devised. It is the basis of all security and about the only indestructible security. That's from Russell Sage. And, you know, you know, something here is we've got lots of real estate specific quotes in this segment is that it is rare to nonexistent to see any negative quotes about real estate, about anyone saying anything bad about it. It's all positive stuff. Waxing eloquent about real estate. And there are a lot of reasons to do that. But not every real estate moment is great. Maybe this is all because nothing quotable is said when you find out that one of your tenants is a drug dealer. Well. Finance expert Susie Orman says this owning a home is a keystone of wealth, both financial affluence and emotional security.   Keith Weinhold (00:33:46) - Yeah, a lot like an earlier quote. A home is the only investment that you get the benefit of living in. Peter Lynch said. No, what you own and why you own it. I mean, that is short, sweet and it's just a really good reminder to you. Do you now own any properties that you would not buy again? And if you wouldn't buy it again, then should you consider selling it now? Not FDR, but Theodore Roosevelt. He said every person who invests. In well selected real estate in a growing section of a prosperous community, adopts the surest and safest method of becoming independent for real estate is the basis of wealth. That's Theodore Roosevelt. Yeah. He reiterates that you want to own most of your property in growing places, something that really hasn't changed over all this time. Coke Odyssey contributes to this. The house he looked at today and wanted to think about until tomorrow, maybe the same house someone looked at yesterday and will buy today. Oh, gosh, that's true.   Keith Weinhold (00:34:58) - I think that everyone has the story of the one that got away. Margaret Mitchell said the land is the only thing worth working for. Worth fighting for, worth dying for. Because it's the only thing that lasts. Yeah. Wow. Some real passion there from Margaret. Sir John Templeton said the four most dangerous words in investing are. It's different this time. Yeah. I think what Templeton is advising is to follow market trends in history. Don't speculate that this particular time will be any different. Warren Buffett said wide diversification is only required when investors do not understand what they are doing. Yeah, that insight from Buffett. That's pretty applicable when you understand that you've got to get good in a niche and then get rich in that niche, meaning being narrow. Why diversification? That's likely better when you're just beginning and you don't know much, but then you want to get niche in your big earning years. And then perhaps when you're older, you get diversified once again because you're more interested in just protecting what you have.   Keith Weinhold (00:36:15) - Robert Kiyosaki said it's not how much money you make, but how much money you keep, how hard it works for you, and how many generations you keep it for. Now there's something with tax efficiencies and more in that Kiyosaki quote. My friend Dave Zook, billionaire dollar syndicator and frequent guest on this show, he said, you can be conventional or you can be wealthy. Pick one. Oh yeah, I love that from Dave. Because if you do what everyone else does, you'll only get what everyone else got. And I've contributed some material here over 508 episodes of this show. Although I won't claim the eminence of some of the other luminaries of the past few centuries discussed today. I've been known to say these. You do care about what others think. That's your reputation. I've been known to say the scarcity mentality is abundant and the abundance mentality is scarce. And some say that in real estate, I was the first one to point out back in 2015 that real estate pays five ways. Another that I have is a critique of delayed gratification.   Keith Weinhold (00:37:31) - Now, some delayed gratification is okay early on in your life, but I've said too much delayed gratification becomes denied gratification. Here on Earth, you live just one life. Hey. And the other day, an entrepreneurial friend. I don't know. He seemed to think that I have the right life balance. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but here's what I told him. And I think he said this because he often sees me out to exercising and things. I told him I give my best to exercise. Business only gets left over time. That's because exercise is hard and making money is easy. Yeah, there it is. That's my take on that. And that's it for today. I hope that you got some learning, some perspective, a few laughs and that some thought was spurred inside your mind in order to give you at least one big, rich novel takeaway here. And it's probably best for you to refer back to this episode of quotes, maxims, and aphorisms. And welcome to the Adams archive. My name is Austin Adams, and thank you so much for listening today. On today's episode, we have a couple of deep dives. We're going to have a couple other things sprinkled in there too, but a couple of deep dives that we're going to discuss starting with the. Crazy trend that has happened probably over the last, I don't know, five or six years, but even more so recently, the amount of celebrities, the amount of tick tock influencers that are out there getting their teeth shaved down with essentially nail files into nubs, and then getting fake implants of teeth, porcelain implants into their mouth. Now  there's a specific case that brought this up more recently, and it came from TikTok. So we'll discuss that. But what we're really going to talk about there is the idea behind why this is truly a problem, right? There's, there's this fundamental idea behind traditional Chinese medicine, which talks about the meridian.  And so that's what we're going to discuss first. After we talk about that and the horrific things people are putting their bodies through, and we'll actually use a case study here of the, with this woman from tick tock that caused this  topic to be discussed because I saw it recently pop up in one of my feeds. And it's just unbelievable. The amount of people that are doing this without even understanding what the potential side effects could be. So we will talk about that. After we talk about that, we are going to talk about a father in, I believe this was in Mexico, who went on stage at a,  uh, comedian's show and smacked him several times.  And you would go, that's crazy. You should be able to take a joke, right? But there's a lot more to the story. And I think He might be justified in this. So we'll talk about that. Then we will jump into a remote Amazon tribe left hooked on pornography after finally connecting to the internet. Uh, so this tribe essentially got. The internet and the very first thing they did was get absolutely unbelievably, horrifically addicted to pornography. So we will talk about that. The very first thing that we're going to discuss today is going to be the disgusting trend of influencers and celebrities out there getting their teeth shaved down with nail files so they can look like Gollum from Lord of the Rings, only to have  porcelain implants. The teeth implants implanted into their face after they get their teeth shaved down to little disgusting nubs  all in the name of aesthetics,  right? You know, there's like 80 year olds, 85 year olds, 90 year olds out there who need veneers and that makes perfect sense to me, right? If you don't have teeth, you need to eat. You don't want dentures. You don't want to deal with that. That's okay. Get veneers.  But if you're young and you're healthy,  the hell are you doing? Why in the world would you take something that God gave you, beautiful teeth in your mouth, maybe not so beautiful, but much better than shaving down your teeth  with a file, and then having some dude in Miami shove porcelain into your mouth  like it's not an actual living part of your body.  Your teeth are so much more important to your body than modern medicine, western medicine wants you to believe. And that's what we're going to talk about today. So the very first article that we're going to take a look at  is going to come from Indy 100. One of my favorite new news articles that sources a ton of different articles from all over the world for you. And, uh, Pretty good stuff. So there's a video coming out of the New York Post and this TikTok video that this woman had posted, but let me just show you what we're talking about here. Okay, when we talk about them shaving down your teeth,  this is what we're talking about. Okay,  here we go.  If you're looking at my screen right now,  you will see a woman.  That looks just like Gollum from Lord of the Rings. I have to get this up here for you. There it is. Oh my God. That's terrifying.  How horrific. And to do this to yourself for just aesthetics, like I can get plastic surgery, do your thing, I don't care. It's not my body,  but. Like there was absolutely nothing wrong with this woman's face. Absolutely nothing wrong with her teeth, but she was convinced by society that she had to whittle down her teeth from what they were to turn them into this horrific Frankenstein science experiment, because that's what celebrities do.  So let's go ahead and watch this video. This woman's talking about her veneers and why she decided to do this and all of the terrible things that happened to her sense  here.  Here we go.  I know that I look crazy and it's so embarrassing to come crying on the internet,  but this stuff that I have been dealing with for two years  because of my freaking teeth  is like I don't even know what to do anymore and like the only place I can really go to  is my platforms.  As everybody pretty much knows,  two years ago  I Had, um, dental work done, I smelled Dental Center 32 in Miami and it ruined my life.  Like literally ruined my life  and I'm still dealing with it to this day and  I just left another doctor, another TMJ doctor. This is the third or fourth one that I've gone to  and  I'm just very overwhelmed. Like,  The medical industry, the dental industry in America is like, they literally do not care about what you are going through. Like, everything is about money for them.  And like, I understand like, people have to get paid. But it's like,  the fact that like, I can't,  I can't do anything.  Like, I can't use insurance. I can't do anything. I've already spent 80, 000 pretty much on this whole situation in two years. And I go to another TMJ doctor because I have severe TMJ now because of the veneers that Smile Dental Center did. They, they, they lost my bite. I have severe TMJ. I got my T3 done. It, it didn't fix it.  That was another 30, 000.  It's just like,  I just had an appointment and like, you know, they're telling me like, okay, we could do this, we could do this, and it, you know, it could, it could be a big money pit and, you know, it could be, you know, another 80k and, you know, might not work. Like,  I spent so much money with so many doctors just praying that something works for me.  And nothing works. Nothing ever works.  I don't know what to do anymore. Like, I can't even sue  the freaking dentist. Every, every time I come on here telling my story about what happened, which is a crazy ass story.  I'm like, just sue. Why don't you sue? If I could sue, that would be the first thing I'm, I'm doing. But I can't do that. I can't do that. It's, it's not possible. Like,  can't sue for my sensory issues. My sensory issues are unknown. Every time I go to the doctor.   So let's talk about this real quick. And it's easy to look at this person and say, You're vain. You shouldn't have done that. Your body was perfectly fine. You know, it's easy to laugh at this person and go, You know, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Right?  But let's, let's put our empathetic hat on. Let's pretend this is your wife. Let's pretend this is your daughter. Let's pretend this And I don't know what she looked like before before she got this done. So let's pretend that maybe she had some little bit of messed up teeth. And you're in Miami. And if you ever been to Miami, like literally 10 percent of the people 20 percent of the people that are there, if they have money, they have these fake veneers.  And so  this woman,  With our empathetic cats on your wife, your daughter is convinced that she would be more beautiful, that people would accept her more, that she would have more friends, that she would seem cooler. Like she would look like, you know, one of those supermodels that she watches on Instagram all day in Miami. And like  to have society convince you  that you need to be anything other than what you were  then to go somewhere that  convinces you that you need to pay them 80, 000 and they'll make you better.  Then to have all your, your teeth essentially whittled down to nubs, this porcelain shoved into your mouth, which is too big for your mouth. You've ever seen people that, that get these done. It's way too big for their mouth. A lot of times they don't look natural. They don't look normal. A lot of times. And when you get that done that way,  And it's not the natural way that your teeth were supposed to sit that your body had gotten used to for, I don't know, in this woman's case, 25, 30 years, maybe  your jaw alignment, your, your teeth all  are meant to be the way that they were.  And so  when she's talking about TMJ,  she's talking about the misalignment of her jaw, causing consistent pain.  throughout the day, causing migraines, causing all these things. I've had TMJ in the past and it's, it's a terrible thing to deal with. And it makes your jaw click and you can't open your mouth as wide. It's, it's not fun at all. And to have it caused by somebody who told you they were going to make you better, that you spent your own money on to have them do it. And then as a result, to have this happen is just, I can't imagine. So keep your empathetic head on while you're watching this and, and maybe. Yeah, maybe it's,  you could roast her a little bit, but right. It's still, it's a terrible situation to find yourself in. So let's finish this out.  After they've never heard of it  and you can't prove that they gave you these issues because there's no way to diagnose it specifically. Like it's just a whole thing.  They offered to give me my money back within the first year. And I told them no, so that I could bring awareness because like,  People are just like, you know, out there getting veneers and whatever the case may be, like, my life is literally ruined because I got my teeth redone. Like, I'm not even joking, like, my, I'm constantly in pain. I can't even close my mouth properly after a retainer every single day. 24 7 pretty much to even close my mouth comfortably. No bite adjustments can fix it. Nothing. I've done a hundred bite adjustments. I've gone to 10 different dentists, four different TMJ doctors. I've done integrative medicine. I've done acupuncture. I've done everything you could possible. I've done hypnosis. I've literally done everything you could possibly do to try to fix these issues. I've been called crazy by my primary care doctor at Kaiser. They told me to therapist. Because I'm wondering what I'm going through  At this point like I just don't know what to do. Like why does nobody care  about people?   And so that video had 9 million views. Veneers and LASIK I'll never do because of the horror stories I have heard.  Somebody said, babe, could it be a trigeminal neuralgia? Basically, the veneers hit the specific nerve.  Interesting.  Veneers are so extreme. I don't know why people have to do it. Try braces or composites when the tooth was hurting. I wanted to walk off the little planet. Yeah, so that's the terrible thing about this is she hasn't even begun to see the real effects of this.  Hasn't begun to see the real effects because the only thing she's dealing with right now is TMJ.  And she probably gets headaches or migraines as a result of the TMJ or even that trigeminal neuralgia, which is, can cause, you know, essentially what they call like these terrible, horrific, uh, types of migraines. And so  she's not even beginning to see the effects of this because what we're about to listen to is the fact that your teeth are tied to the nerves in your body and those nerves  have connections. throughout your entire body. And this isn't something that's like mainstream accepted within modern medicine dentistry within the United States of America, but it is in many, many, many other countries. And so that's what we're about to watch this next clip on, which explains how these types of like each individual one of your  teeth has a specific nerve that it's tied to that affects other parts of your body that causes issues within your body as a whole, whether it's, uh, things like, um,  I don't know, talking about high blood pressure, talking about your, your obesity, talking about all of these different health effects. It talks about the meridian, uh, essentially the meridian lines in your body and the connection to your teeth and all of the terrible things that can happen from doing something like what we just talked about. And then you seek out the world's best doctors are knowledgeable in this and it's stuff that's been, it's out there. The literature is out there. The science is out there, but it's, do you believe in it? Do you want to take that step and actually go that road? And it's very hard to talk to all the dentists and all the colleagues like, Hey, there's something else out there. You know, we can actually be causing harm. It's like, do no harm is our first, the Hippocratic oath, right? It's do no harm. But it's actually, when you look at it, we're actually doing dentistry is doing the most harm out of any. Medical profession now leading  dead tissue in the body. Yeah I mean, you just got to wrap your arms around that there's actually dead tissue in the body And it doesn't have a blood supply and what a bacteria like they like dark moist oxygen deprived places anaerobic bacteria That's immune system can't get to and I want to talk specifically about a study that that was just Published in, in July of 2023. So this is only about three months old. It was published in the  journal of microorganisms, but it was a longitudinal study that investigated the association between periodontal disease. and neuroinflammatory disorders. And neuroinflammatory disorders are Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, dementia, all kinds of conditions in the body that are related to inflammation that eventually begins to affect nerves. And we don't correlate dental hygiene or, you know, dental pathologies to Parkinson's, to early onset Alzheimer's, or dementia. And even before these conditions exist, we Memory and cognitive decline, um, exhaustion, fatigue, weight gain, water retention. And what I found really fascinating was that out of the 24 studies they examined, 20 of them  showed a positive correlation between periodontal disease and neurodegenerative disorders with the studies focusing on cognitive function. Demonstrating the most robust effect.  Yes.  So these are all the things that are robbing people of their short term recall, their cognitive function, their waking energy, that they may be chalking up to a consequence of aging, that may actually be a consequence of something going on in their jaw from dental work that they've had done that they've left unaddressed. Correct. And one of those bacteria there, the Treponema  Yes, the Treponema denticola. Yeah, that's me. Sorry, it's one of the five bacterias. Let's just keep it simple. Yeah, one of the five bacterias. That's, that's known for beta amyloid. Producing beta amyloid, which we know is for Alzheimer's. Right. So when it all starts here, if we can actually control it, and it sometimes goes more in depth than doing a, Regular cleaning, sometimes we have to use lasers, sometimes we use ozone gas, sometimes we'll put some medication in the pockets, what we call the periodontal pockets. Right. But if we can cure that, doesn't mean like every tooth needs to come out, right, but if we can hold on to the teeth and we have ways much better than ever before, much better than when I graduated dental school. When you say  keep, to keep your  teeth. Keep the teeth, yeah, we graduated, I graduated in 2009. Keep  your  teeth. How  simple  is that? Keep your teeth, right? And so we'll look at this, this, uh, article. We'll pull it up here. This is  Dr. Rose. com R O Z E and talks about the Chinese Meridian Theory. And so let's talk about that. I was hoping to find it within that video, but I think that was a good point enough is that the health of your body, your cognitive decline, your obesity. High blood pressure, arthritis, all of these things could very well be tied to the dental work that you're getting done by modern dentistry.  Because when you're pulling teeth, or even worse, whittling them down to nothing, only to be replacing them with exterior material that isn't meant to be implanted in your body,  something's going to go wrong.  And so here's a clip about Meridian.  Dentistry or meridian belief system or theory, and let's watch that. Each  tooth is a key. The key is press, and it causes a motion to strike a note, which creates a vibration and a sound. Each key produces a different sound, just like the relationship between the keys and the notes. Our tifa connected by nerves to our brain. These nerves and nerve impulses send messages to specific parts of the body. What does this all mean to you? Well, if you have a bad tooth, the energy flows through the meridian belonging to that tooth, and this flow can affect the health of all the organs on that meridian. For example, tooth number 14, the first molar, is on the same meridian with the kidneys, liver, spleen, stomach and breast. So if this tooth has a problem, it may affect the energy flow through the meridian, and the health of those organs may be affected as well. Your mouth is connected to specific organs in the body. This is something that practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine have known for thousands of years.  The human body is really quite amazing when we listen to its messages.  Sir William Osler, a founding father of modern medicine, said the mouth is the mirror to the body. And when you think about that, and you go, Oh, you know, you hear about traditional Chinese medicine, meridian lines have been a debated topic in modern medicine up until about I think is about two one, one or two years ago, where they actually found the interconnection within the body of these like nerves that are all connected. And so When you look at the traditional Chinese medicine, think of acupuncture, acupuncture utilizes the meridian lines in your body to help, uh, you know, unblock the, the energy flow, the, the nerves connections and the firing of your nerves within your body that, that all speak to each other.  And so  this is, this is how it explains it says in traditional Chinese medicine, meridians are channels that form a network in the body through. Which qi, or qi, I assume, uh, vital energy flows. A blocky Causes pain and illness the flow is restored by using pressure needles suction or heat at hundreds of specific points along The meridians, right? You talk about acupuncture The meridian tooth chart is based on acupuncture meridians pathways of energy that span across interrelated body parts glands and tissues and you have to remember What did she? Say what are the comments say they're like when you have people having terrible horrific what they call like Suicide migraines or that trigeminal neuralgia that she talked about  Acupuncture is one of the only things  My wife actually dealt with that during one of her pregnancies, where she had what we thought was either trigeminal neuralgia, some sort of horrific like, um,  um, like clot in her brain or something. It was horrific, horrific headaches, unlike you could ever imagine in your whole life. And the only thing that helped my wife, The only thing that subsided the pain. We went to the hospital over it multiple times. They literally did nothing for us. Kicked us out with an 8, 000 bill.  The only thing that helped her.  And up until very recently, and even today, right now, the traditional acupuncture is not an accepted form of, of Western medicine. They don't, they don't agree that it's, it's works, but it works. People all over the country get acupuncture done. It's literally the Only thing that she did that helped her with her migraines. Why? Because it has to do with the nerves. It has to do with the meridian lines. It has to do with that flow of that, that firing of, of the nerves, that flow of energy throughout your body. We are electrical beings, your thoughts, your movements, everything that's happening inside of your body is an electrical pulse within these, the, the firing of these nerve endings. And so it makes sense that if you.  use the body to its advantage and understand that rather than trying to impose your will upon it with metal,  uh, you know, types of tools and  medications and pharmaceutical drugs and injections and all of these things that the modern Western medicine tries to impose its will upon the body rather than trying to allow the body to do what it needs to do to correct itself. That is the huge difference between modern medicine. medicine in traditional medicine, holistic medicine.  So it goes on to say the meridian tooth chart is based on acupuncture meridians, pathways of energy that span across interrelated body parts, glands and tissues. I'll have a post about this and you can just comment, uh, and I'll DM you it, but it basically outlines all of the teeth and, and what their attachment is to which part of your body and what can result from not Dealing with those issues correctly for that specific tooth. And so it goes through a whole long list of things from migraines and epilepsy from the, so if, so first, I guess it shows the tooth or teeth that are associated with it, then the part of the body. So things like your stomach and spleen, your lungs, your liver, your gallbladder, your bladder, your  lungs and large intestines, stomach, heart, small intestines, um, all of these different parts of your body.  are associated with a different tooth or a different meridian line.  Again, same thing that they deal with with acupuncture. And so the things that this can result from is migraines and epilepsy, rheumatism, migraines, focus issues, sterility and impotence. So even your, even your  Fertility can be affected by your teeth,  um, focus, right? And so each one of these different zones of your mouth can have different negative effects on your body. It says if a weakness of in a particular system or organ exists, the condition of the tooth associated with that area could exacerbate the problem working with our Meridian tooth chart makes us able to assess patients, general state of health and wellness, simply through a review of the oral environment. Each tooth is associated with a particular Meridian through which energy. Flows.  Very interesting. It says the mouth is the mirror to your body. Energy flows through the body along lines known as meridians. These lines associated with specific tissues, organs, and teeth. Health problems manifesting in the tooth may be related to conditions of the associated meridian.  Interesting because this is a specific doctor that kind of specializes in this stuff. And again, it's D R R O Z E dot.  Now, the funny thing about this is I found this article today,  which says there is now a drug to regrow teeth, which has been approved for human trials.  So, on the back of that, maybe you don't need to get all of your teeth pulled and get veneers. Maybe you just need this other pharmaceutical drug and that will solve all your issues, of course. And there'll be no side effects, just like everything else. Um, so it says, scientists are gearing up for human tricks.  Not tricks, trials. Human trials, which makes way more sense than tricks. Human tricks. For a groundbreaking, truth growing science. A tooth growing drug with hopes to offer those suffering from tooth loss a revolutionary alternative. Molecular biologist and dentist Katsu, uh, Takashi  developed the first of its kind drug by deactivating the uterine sensation associated gene, the UTI. One, protein, which is known to stop tooth growth. He has been working on tooth regeneration for almost 20 years. We want to do something to help those who are suffering from tooth loss or absence.  While there has been no treatment to date providing a permanent cure, we feel that people's expectations for tooth growth are high.  By stopping USAG 1 from interacting with other proteins, the drug prompts bone morphogenetic protein, BMP, signaling and encourages the growth of new bone and teeth. The researchers noted  that mice and ferrets share the same USAG 1 properties as humans. The animals happen to grow new teeth from the drug. So my concern would be that if you're growing new teeth and growing new bones, how does your body know which  to grow when and how long? Right, like if you hope to grow one tooth back, are you going to, you know, make yourself taller?  Like, are you going to make your fingers grow long, too long, and you're going to look like Edward Scissorfingers? Um, the USAG 1 protein has a high amino acid homology of 97 percent between different animal species, including humans, mice, and eagles? Wow, that's very specific.  Beagles.  Um, is that what they're doing the studies on? Oh, that's horrible. If you go back and listen. Remember what Fauci was doing to dogs? That nobody's bringing up again? Like, the horrific trials that Fauci was involved with? And I'm pretty sure it was all specifically beagles. Where they would  essentially put them in a cage where they couldn't escape and then put thousands of bugs in there that would essentially eat them alive?  And meanwhile, I'm sure he's just living it up on a yacht somewhere after getting roasted by the Senate this week.  Anyways, just a side tangent, human trials are set to start in September 2024 at Kyoto University Hospital in Japan, using 30 male participants between the ages of 30 and 64 who are missing at least one molar. The next phase will look at children who suffer from congenital tooth deficiency.  Then, researchers will explore other  Generations who have lost a tooth due to environmental factors have proven successful the drug could become widely available as soon as 2030. The promising development in dentistry has the potential to revolutionize the way the treatment of tooth loss and provide solutions for people across the globe. So, if this lady, this girl, this woman, maybe just waited a few years,  I don't think that was her problem. The problem was vanity and living in Miami around a bunch of vain people.  People, but anyways, interesting, very interesting.  Now, the next thing we're going to talk about here, which I found to be a pretty wild scenario is that there was a dad. Dad went on stage and punched a comedian  over his sexualized joke about his baby son. Now, from what I saw, this wasn't onstage joke. This was like on Twitter,  uh,  prior to this. Caravaca was performing a standup comedy show in Madrid on Monday evening when a man unexpectedly gets on stage. Dad, Alberto Pugalito, punched Caravaca  in the head while shouting in Spanish. This is for the pedophile comment he made about my son. Will you repeat now what you said about my son? Pugalito continued while calling the comedian a piece of shit.  Say it. So this man drives to his comedy show, goes up on stage, punches him, and then smacks him in the face while ridiculing him in front of his entire crowd.  That deserves a standing ovation, and I'm sure it was much more entertaining than whatever bullshit comedy this clown, as he would describe it, was going to actually do during his show.  Alright, so, good. After just nine months with Starlink, the Marubo.  Already found themselves faced with the same issues that plague Western families. The news broadcast features a young woman named Gabriela Rico Jimenez screaming in front of a luxury hotel. She repeatedly pleads for her freedom and claims she was held against her will. She makes claims of murder and cannibalism and drops some very big names in her accusations. Most public outbursts such as this could be attributed to mental illness or substance abuse, but Gabriela's claims are consistent and somewhat coherent and she speaks with such horror and conviction. I feel compelled to further consider her credibility.  Then they show the news clip.  There's the transcription, I already read it for you. It said, What happened to Gabriela Rico Jimenez? So, you saw this woman, out in front of this hotel, screaming at this man, screaming at this man, saying, You knew about this. You were a part of it. You were there. They took me to the hospital because of it. And they said, who, who did the, who did they kill? Who did they kill? Did they kill the princesses? Did they kill the Queen of England? Did they kill Mickey Mouse making fun of her?  And she said, no, they killed Marino. And Marino  was a politician.  She even mentions the name Carlos Slim. Now, Carlos Slim, as I was telling you, was one of the most powerful people and the richest man in Mexico.  Carlos Slim is a huge contributor and donor to the Clinton Foundation.  The Clinton family  funds all of these politicians, Democratic politicians. And guess what else he funded?  The movie, The Sound of Freedom.  Hmm. So the same man being accused by this woman who disappeared and was never saw again  funded the Clinton campaign  was,  she claims,  was trafficking people,  cannibalizing them, and set up the murder of a politician.  That same man funded the movie, The Sound of Freedom,  which is just so happens to be about trafficking children.  That's interesting.  Very interesting, especially when you understand the controversy surrounding The Sound of Freedom, and the man who did the documentary, and the accusations against him.  Now it says a witness speaks, and this is, let's see.  Here it is. Here's where it talks about Carlos Slim.  It says what happened to her. Finally, Gabriela Rico Jimenez, the woman who was arrested outside of a hotel in Monterey, was helped by DIF police on Monterey. And after she was detained in jail by the regional police, she was, she was sent to a psychiatric center in Buenos Aires. colony where she will stay indefinitely while she receives help and can be well cared for.  Gabriela mentions the name Carlo Slim, and who was a Mexican business magnet of Lebanese descent. He is the richest man in Mexico and was the richest man in the world from 2010 to 2013.  He has a son Carlos Slim,  who serves as chairman of the board of his father's conglomerate company. The Merino,  Gabriela claims was murdered is Juan Camilo Mourinho Torre Torrezo,  who is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Action Party, and the Secretary of the Interior of the Cabinet of President Felipe Calderón. He died in November of 2008.  During a Mexican city Learjet crash, the government plane was seen traveling and crashed into rush hour traffic under mysterious circumstances. There were 16 fatalities, all 9 people on board and 7 people on the ground died.  Juan Camilo Mourinho was 37. As President Felipe Calderon's strongman, he had been leading a government campaign against Mexico's powerful and violent drug gangs. Illuminati conspiracy theories frequently mention the British monarch, among others, as well as Disney symbolism. There is also a rumor that the Prince Philip, the Queen's husband, once said that cannibalism is a radical, but realistic solution to the problem of overpopulation?  Whoa, let's see if we can verify that in a minute. I approached her and asked her some questions.  Um, if I name, if I knew where she lived, she told me that she, they were all, that we were all dead. And that we were all dead, that we were all, we were among them, among other things. That simply left me paralyzed after 20 minutes of being with her some tall well dressed people arrived They practically pulled me out of there I asked them why they did this if this was just a poor girl with a mental disorder  Asked where that where they were taking her. They told me that was not my business to for me to retire When they left me they stopped me and asked me what she told me  I answered them insane and I ran away. The next day I went to the senior officers of the ministry and told them about the issue and wanted information because the girl's family requested it. They just laughed and said, really? If she does not exist, she never existed. And you do not work here.  I got a shiver and left. I left everything and left Monterey. I had a feeling that what had happened those days and what that girl said were true as I could. I left everything and got out of there. She told me that in Monterey there was some kind of underground base where they lived and regularly stole children as food and other things.  By my profession, I dare not reveal my encounter. I have family and children who depend on me. And for logical and reputation reasons, I cannot. I would like to go out and spread it to the four winds, but society would call me crazy. Although I have the marks of the attack,  is a little bad back, there are nights I just cannot sleep.  That's a weird translation. I have the same feeling, the same feeling that when I saw them the first time, it was like a, uh, presentiment is appreciated that they do not judge me as crazy for telling me that.
