The New Man is the center around the New Creation. In the Old Creation that God Made Man was the Center of it. In the New it is the same. However, this is a NEW MAN. This man comes out of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The work that forms this man is Christ Himself. The fullness of this man is Christ Himself. Jesus Christ has brough forth of Himself One New Man! Glory Be to God! Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Why is Christianity based on the Death and Resurrection of Christ? Man cannot save himself. Everything of the Old Creation is only worthy of being consigned to judgment and death (Isaiah 53:6). Only then can God bring forth a new creation, a rebirth by resurrection (1Peter 1:3). In His death as the last Adam He took all the sin and curse of the original creation and brought it to judgment thru His death. Then as the 2nd Adam in His resurrection, He became the head of a new creation, the firstborn and first-fruits from the dead, the first of a new breed of redeemed humanity, recreated through their union with Christ (John 14:19, Romans 6:1-11, Colossians 2:12-13, 3:1,10-15, 2Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:1-10, 4:24).

THE NEW CREATION SUMMIT| NATURE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS | NEW LIFE| Discipleship |CHIMDI OHAHUNA Welcome to the New Creation Summit podcast series—a simple yet profound exploration of what it means to be a New Creation in Christ. Join us on this enlightening journey as we dig deep into the theological underpinnings that separate the Old Creation from the marvel of the New Creation. The premier episode begins by establishing a profound understanding of how everything began and how it fundamentally impacts our spiritual existence today. In this inaugural episode, discover the significance of the First Creation, according to the Book of Genesis. The essence of the first Adam, who was formed from the dust of the earth, marks humanity's physical inception as a living soul. We'll examine the vital distinction between the unembodied law given verbally to Adam and the written laws, such as the Ten Commandments, that were meant to be enforced. Transitioning through the narrative, we'll dive into the New Testament revelation where God declares His laws are now inscribed on our hearts—transforming our relationship with Him from a transactional one to one that is deeply relational. This pivotal shift underscores why the new creation is not just a metaphysical idea but rather a reality we are called to manifest in our daily lives. Understanding our identity as new creations—spiritual beings designed to reflect Christ's nature—will be at the heart of our discussions. Our new identity as "life-giving spirits," in connection with Jesus, the last Adam, invites us to engage with the world in a way that brings forth life and righteousness. Throughout this series, we will reflect on biblical passages from Genesis to Corinthians, illustrating how our transformation should permeate every aspect of our being. As we engage with these New Creation realities, we will witness God's diverse operations manifest in our lives, encouraging a deepened understanding of our roles as heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. Whether you are a believer seeking deeper insight, a curious spiritual seeker, or simply eager to explore the richness of God's word, the New Creation Summit is the podcast for you! Tune in and participate in this eye-opening series where faith meets understanding, and be empowered to live out your new creation reality! Ephesians 5:22-6:9
In this episode I talk with New Testament scholar Dr. Najeeb Haddad, who has written two very compelling books critiquing the popular perspective in Biblical studies that the apostle Paul was actively opposed to the Roman empire. We discuss the history of the Paul and empire debate and explore some of the key scholars and interpretive methods that have been used to justify the belief that Paul was anti-imperial, and Najeeb demonstrates that many of these methods are not supported by historical evidence. He explains how Paul understands the Roman empire to be a part of the Old Creation and is more focused on spreading the Gospel of the New Creation to all who will listen. He then explains why a lot of anti-imperial scholarship ignores the dignity of human beings by focusing only on systems, how scholars easily bring their own political biases into their work, and the nuanced anti-imperial reading of Paul offered by Christoph Heilig. This conversation provides a lot of historical nuance that everyone interested in the relationship between Christianity and politics ought to know. Christ is Lord over the Old Creation as Creator and the New Creation as Redeemer
Everyone who surrenders their life to the Lord, by repenting of their sins and accepting Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Saviour, becomes at that very moment, a new creation. Each one becomes a child of the living and holy God. At that point they are changed from glory to glory. Their real person, their inner spirit, is created a new person. No longer do they have a corrupted spirit unable to discern spiritual good from evil. No longer are they treading the slippery slope to hell and eternal damnation. They have already inherited eternal life and have been granted God's richest blessings, for evermore. Their whole future life has changed!

Chapter 15: Miracles of the Old Creation
When Jesus entered into Jerusalem, it was like the light of creation shining forth. It is the beginning of the end of the Old Creation in so many ways. Sin will be dealt with. Redemption will be accomplished. The Light will shine forth, even if it is dark momentarily. Consider the wonders of Palm Sunday and all that it means for us and our salvation.Image: Triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on a Donkey -- Palm Sunday, picture taken by Martin LaBar, from the book Half Hours With the Bible, New Testament, New York: Clifton Pub. INTRODUCTION Christians do not merely believe that God created all things from nothing and an intelligent design of the universe, we believe that the only fully rational accounting of the universe, science, logic, reason, and human experience begins with the authority of Scripture, submits to the supremacy of Jesus Christ in all things, and surrenders in glad worship at His throne. THE TEXT “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist” (Col. 1:15-17). SUMMARY OF THE TEXT The Apostle Paul is in the process of reviewing the gospel that was preached to the Colossians and has begun to bear fruit in their lives (Col. 1:4-8), and the prayer the apostles now have for the Colossians is that it might bear much fruit in their lives in knowledge and wisdom and good works and strength and joy (Col. 1:9-11), since salvation is deliverance from darkness into the kingdom of the Son, redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins (Col. 1:12-14). This is where our text picks up underlining the power and potency of the gospel by underlining just who Jesus is: the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all of creation (Col. 1:15), the Creator of all things, the reason for all things (Col. 1:16), and that means that He is before and greater than all things and He is the One who upholds all things (Col. 1:17). Because that is Who He is, He is the Head of the New Creation, the firstborn from the dead (Col. 1:18), the fullness of God Himself, and therefore His cross is potent to reconcile all things, reconciling His enemies to Himself and presenting them holy and innocent in His sight (Col. 1:19-22). ACKNOWLEDGING THE CREATOR Paul's argument is this: If we preach the death and resurrection of Christ and men and women who are dead in their sins come to life, full of peace, from the madness and violence and confusion of sin and darkness, then a New Creation has begun. And if Jesus is the Head of that New Creation, He is the Head, the Source, the Firstborn of the Old Creation. He is the Center. Another way to put the argument is that everyone must have a standard for truth, a standard for evidence, a standard for making sense of everything. Paul is claiming that Christ and His authority is that universal standard for all men everywhere. Christ is the ultimate standard because He is the image of the invisible God, the Creator all things, and because without him nothing could exist (Col. 1:15-17). Of course the comeback is something like: But you can't simply assert what you must prove. And our response is twofold: First, why not? You're asserting a canon of reason, but you haven't proven that you must prove every assertion in order for it to be valid. But the fact is that everyone must start with a presupposition that ultimately trusts God or man, the Creator or something in creation. You might start with reason, logic, science, experience, psychoanalysis, or consensus. But then you are beginning with a presupposition that one or more of those things are reliable guides to truth and coherence, but you haven't (and cannot) prove their full reliability. In fact, all of those things are highly limited and have let people down in every era, and the last few years is no exception. Second, the proof of the authority of Christ is the forgiveness of sins and peace with God. EVIDENCE BASED FAITH It is sometimes claimed that reason and faith are opposites, or that science and religion are at odds. But the Bible everywhere teaches that God is reasonable, His creation is reasonable, and He expects human beings who bear His image to think and reason. What the Bible rejects is autonomous reason. We reject human reason that rejects the authority of God's Word. Faith is simply reason in submission to God. This means that all thinking people must reject Darwinism as complete nonsense and irrationality. It makes no sense at all to trust reason or science based on the assumption that the present world emerged by accidents and mutations. This is to claim that order and meaning emerged from chaos and meaninglessness, but every canon of reason and science rejects this. Unlike irrational religions and superstitions, the Bible everywhere assumes that God has established certain natural patterns and habits to the created order. This order is what allows nature to be studied, for the nature of things to be observed, logged, experimented with, and learned from. Cause and effect, logic, reason, and the scientific method all require an orderly and intelligent universe. In fact, modern science emerged from a largely Christian and Protestant worldview that believed in a personal and rational Creator God. CONCLUSION: WHAT ABOUT MIRACLES? One of the obvious questions following the assertion that God has created the world with an order and nature that is fix and stable is: then what about all the miracles in the Bible? The simple answer is that the Bible itself presents miracles as, well, miraculous, unusual, deviations from the norm. In addition, it assumes that in order to believe in miracles, any rational human being would need evidence, testimony, and proof. The central miracle of the Bible is the announcement that Jesus rose from the dead. And when John records the resurrection, he records the doubt of Thomas, who says he will not believe unless he sees the nail prints in the hands of Jesus and puts his hand into the side of Jesus, where the spear pierced Him. Then John says that the next time Jesus appeared, that was exactly what Jesus presented to Thomas (Jn. 20:27). And Thomas answered and said, “My Lord and my God” (Jn. 20:28). And John's gospel closes with these words, “And Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: but these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that by believing you might have life in His name” (Jn. 20:30-31).

Understanding the Old Testament Part 40 (Various scriptures) Rather than being someone who was hidden till Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was an active agent in the Old Creation, worked tirelessly to prepare the way for Jesus, and is now working in us, bringing dry bones to life in the New Creation.

They Might Be Giants. Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. Today, we continue the conversation on the supernatural, spiritual elements of the New Creation vs. Old Creation dynamics. And this is some of the crazy stuff: the Nephilim! What are the Nephilim? How do they play into the narrative? Were they real? How do they correlate to the Seraphim, Satan and other spiritual entities? How do David and Goliath fit in? What about David and Bathsheba? And lastly and most importantly, how do these giants play into our understanding of Jesus, etc.??? Holy moly. We also discuss some listener feedback over the previous episode, some pushback on the conversation over the church and those that choose to leave. URGENT!!: Episode 300 is right around the corner and it is the moment where VOX evolves into its next iteration. As part of that, we want to include you. We will be discussing the future of the church, in both hope and lament. We’d like to have your voices as part of the conversation as a 30 second max message of hope or lament for the church, reflecting on what has been exposed over the last few years. Should I Stay or Should I Go? Is it just a great song by the only band that matters (The Clash), or is it the question posed by Tim on his membership to the Church? We discuss a recent interview with Brian Houston about the “moral failings” of pastors in their employ, like New York Megapastor Carl Lentz. Does the model make any sense? Has it been off focus from the start and where does that place us all now? Can it be corrected? Are Houston’s excuses or vision legit? With the Church seemingly more and more missing the intended mark, is it better to stay and help correct or is better to just build a community that follows what Jesus started? How does the Church play by Old Creation dynamics? Are we called to stay? What about this new ‘God Bless The USA Bible (!!!)’ from Zondervan?? Where are we? This is next level bananas… Much to his surprise, we beam in Gombis from his front porch where he was eating a burrito and pondering U2 theology to answer all our questions. This Present Darkness. No, this is not a review of everyone’s favorite Christian fantasy book from the 80’s (though it is referenced here). Today we continue the series on Old Creation vs. new Creation by dipping our toes into the spiritual realm of the conversation. Mike begins an exploration of Genesis 1, and how we are to interpret the lights, Eden and the showdown in the garden. What are the areas where Heaven and Earth overlap? What are Cherubim and how do they play into all of this? How about the Seraphim? The serpent?? The Elohim??? Holy moly. The scene is broadening… Tim continues to have oatmeal brain processing all of this. We also answer a few questions dealing with masks and the loneliness epidemic, tools to analyze Old Creation response vs. New Creation responses and where to even begin with reconstruction. It’s a lot! So many good questions and comments to partner with us on this journey. As always, we encourage and would love discussion as we pursue. Romans 8:22. For we know that all of creation is experiencing the struggle of bringing something to birth together with us up to this very time 23. And not only they, but we too, who experience the initial phases of the transforming work of the Spirit – we too are agonizing deeply within, waiting for the full and final experience of being God's mature children, which is the absolute transformation of our bodies from mortality to immortality. (Manifestation of the sons of God) MATRIX – A matrix is an environment that provides a system or surrounding substance in which something is brought to birth, grows and develops. (e.g. an egg) g2836. koilia; (“hollow”); a cavity - The matrix; figuratively, the heart, belly, womb. The concept of Matrix can be applied to a cultural, ideological, social, or political environment in which something develops. Each man-made matrix will have a set of constant processes, resources and goals to achieve its final expression. WE ARE ENGAGED IN A SPIRITUAL MATRIX – THE UNIVERSAL MATRIX OF GOD. The Father sends Jesus the Son into humanity (John 3:16), bringing God into human form. Then the Father and the Son send the Holy Spirit into all mankind for Jesus to be formed in us as the New Creation. We cooperate with the Holy Spirit in this transformation by faith, transcending the Old Creation and being partners with him in bringing forth the New Creation. Galatians 4:19 My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, 1John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. ESSENTIAL CONSTANTS OF THE SPIRITUAL MATRIX Father always sending Jesus. Holy Spirit always bringing us into God's presence. The yearning of Holy Spirit to lift us above the Old Creation. The struggle of our soul in emotionally detaching from afflictive circumstances. The victory of faith in overcoming (transcending) the matrix of absence – entering the rest. Why should Paul have to pray the prayer of Galatians 4:19? It is because he is contributing to this spiritual matrix of the formation of Christ within others. He exercises loving faith in his partnership with the Holy Spirit for this purpose. He knows that he is part of a much larger system of transformation and bringing to birth of the will of God for humanity, on a much larger scale than his own immediate interests. Paul had an intimate participation in this mystery (Colossians 1:26). Every situation that we experience is used by God to call forth our faith in God's working all things together for the bringing to pass of this overall purpose. To engage the matrix of presence prayer all we need do is include the lives and circumstances of those we have on our hearts to pray for. That prayer is simply a constant consciousness of a supernatural activity, an energy of the highest possible order that we are involved with. We are then included in the Holy Spirit matrix of the bringing to birth and forming of the life of Christ in people. Everything in that matrix works together (synergizes) to bring about God's good will and purpose. When we bump into the hard edges of life that is the signal to turn that random thing into Purpose. If we think we can make random things comply with our purpose we remain disillusioned. Romans 8:28. And so we can be assured that everything that happens in our lives will be divinely contrived to bring about His greatest benefit for us, who love God, and who accept the invitation to be part of his will for our lives. 29. For he knew beforehand and predetermined all of us who can now be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the family firstborn among a multitude of brothers and sisters.
