In Part 7, the latest episode of her Identity Series, Cayla Craft dives into the concept of self-worth, emphasizing that it should be rooted in self-respect and God's truth rather than external achievements or social validation. She invites listeners to actively engage by pausing to reflect and write down their thoughts on self-worth and whether they are truly satisfied with who they are. Cayla integrates biblical teachings, highlighting that God's Word provides a timeless and solid foundation for understanding one's value. She explains that true self-worth remains stable even in the face of failure, as it is not dependent on business success or accolades. Cayla also stresses the importance of raising personal standards and setting boundaries to maintain healthy relationships. She concludes by encouraging listeners to seek answers and solutions in the Bible for lasting healing and transformation, rather than relying on superficial advice.Key Moments:Invitation to Take Action (00:01:23 - 00:02:14): Cayla emphasizes that the episode is interactive and encourages listeners to pause, reflect, and write down their answers to deepen their understanding of self-worth.Exploring Self-Worth (00:03:19 - 00:03:48): She introduces the concept of self-worth, explaining that it should not be tied to success, money, or social validation, but rather be rooted in a quiet sense of self-respect and satisfaction with who we are.Biblical Foundations of Identity (00:03:48 - 00:04:12): Cayla integrates Bible verses, highlighting that the truth about self-worth comes from God's Word, which has stood the test of time and provides a solid foundation for believers.Interactive Reflection on Self-Worth (00:04:12 - 00:05:14): She asks listeners if they are glad to be themselves and whether they have a healthy sense of self-worth, urging them to reflect on whether they attach their value to external achievements.Separating Self-Worth from Success (00:11:21 - 00:12:17): Cayla explains that true self-worth is independent of business achievements, and while failure may still hurt, it shouldn't devastate someone whose identity is rooted in God's truth.Raising Standards and Setting Boundaries (00:18:23 - 00:19:08): She discusses the importance of raising standards and being mindful of the people we allow into our lives, as low self-worth often correlates with tolerating unhealthy relationships.Applying God's Truth to Personal Problems (00:27:17 - 00:29:00): Cayla concludes by challenging listeners to find specific solutions in the Bible for their problems and to rely on God's Word rather than generic "bumper sticker" advice for true healing and transformation.Links + Resources:Are you committed to reaching 7 figures this year? In this engaging episode of "Shark Theory," host Baylor Barbee dives into the importance of innovation and problem-solving in our daily lives. Baylor recounts a fascinating experience from a golf tournament, where he encountered "tas-tees," edible golf tees designed by a fellow golfer who sought to solve his own problem. This anecdote sets the stage for a broader discussion on how we can all become proactive problem solvers. Baylor emphasizes that innovation isn't confined to technology or massive breakthroughs. Instead, it's about addressing issues effectively and creatively. He highlights the story of taste tees as an example of turning a minor annoyance into a unique solution that benefits many. The episode encourages listeners to stop complaining and start creating solutions, demonstrating how solving personal problems can resonate with others who share those challenges. Key Takeaways: Innovation Through Problem Solving: Innovation is about solving problems effectively, not just creating apps or tech solutions. Personal Problems, Universal Solutions: Your unique problems might be shared by others; solving them can help more people than you realize. Feedback is Crucial: Embracing feedback can improve your solutions and contribute to personal and community growth. Collaborative Efforts: Working together and co-branding can amplify the impact of your solutions. Leadership by Example: True leadership involves recognizing issues and actively working to resolve them, inspiring others in the process. Notable Quotes: "Innovation, to me, is simply solving a problem in an effective manner." "For every weird, unique, whatever concept in life that you think only you care about, you don't." "We have to get out of this mindset of thinking, oh, accountability. Oh, feedback, oh, this is bad." "If you're somebody that cares about a solution, you're somebody that cares about making a difference, then you should welcome feedback." "Spend some time today figuring out the problems you have in your life and make a conscious decision that you're going to be the solution." Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: The 99% principle for personal problems, published by Kaj Sotala on October 2, 2023 on LessWrong. Often when people are dealing with an issue - emotional, mental, or physical - there's genuine progress and the issue becomes less and seems to go away. Until it comes back, seemingly as bad as before. Maybe the person developed a coping mechanism that worked, but only under specific circumstances. Maybe the person managed to eliminate one of the triggers for the thing, but it turned out that there were other triggers. Maybe the progress was contingent on them feeling better in some other way, and something as seemingly trivial as sleeping worse brought it back. I've been there, many times. It is often very, very frustrating. I might feel like all the progress was just me somehow perpetuating an elaborate fraud on myself, and like all efforts to change the thing are hopeless and it will never go away. And I know that a lot of other people feel this way, too. Something that I tell my clients who are experiencing this despair is something that I got from Tucker Peck, that I call the 99% principle: The most important step is not when you go from having the issue 1% of the time to 0% of the time, but when you go from having the issue 100% of the time to 99% of the time. It's when you go from losing your temper or going into a fawn reaction in every disagreement, to staying cool on some rare occasions. It's when you go from always procrastinating on an unpleasant task, to sometimes tackling it head-on. It's when you go from always feeling overwhelmed by anxiety to having some moments where you can breathe and feel a bit more at ease. When you manage to reduce the frequency or the severity of the issue even just a little, that's the beginning of the point where you can make it progressively less. From that point on, it's just a matter of more time and work. Of course, not all issues are ones that can ever be gotten down to happening 0% of the time, or even 50% of the time. Or even if they can, it's not a given that the same approach that got you to 99%, will get you all the way to 0%. But even if you only get it down somewhat. That somewhat is still progress. It's still a genuine improvement to your life. The fact that the issue keeps occurring, doesn't mean that your gains would be fake in any way. And also, many issues can be gotten down to 0%, or close to it. Over time both the frequency and severity are likely to decrease, even if that might be hard to remember in the moments when the thing gets triggered again. For many issues, it can be the case that the moment when it finally goes to 0% is something that you won't even notice - because the thing had already become so rare before, that you managed to forget that you ever even had the problem. 6 Ways to Deal with Team Members Who Don't Want to Work

When you have team members who don't want to work on your team it is painful, frustrating and problematic for the whole team.  And worse, team members and your boss are looking at you to deal with the employee who is not pulling their weight.  There can be lots of reasons why your team member doesn't want to work:1.      Personal Problems outside of work2.      Problems within work3.      Unrealistic expectations4.      Actions or comments that have impacted their outlook and motivation5.      They are lazy and want to do as little as possible The first step is to work out exactly what situation you are dealing with. There may be an easy solution that will fix the poor work attitude quickly. Ask the team member what the issues are and listen. Setting out your expectations clearly is a vital step. After all, how can a person meet or beat your expectations if they are not sure what they are. If the employee's performance is an issue, then by setting expectations, you are laying the groundwork for performance management actions.  Give them the confidence – through your actions and support – to share their problems with you. When you know what they are and understand how they came about you are in a much better place to fix them. Other Employees need to be told what is in it for them. Spell this out to help motivate them. There are lots of different motivators and we all respond to  a different combination.  Assess if your team members have the right skills and the right skill level to do what is asked of them. If they don't, then help them increase their skills or move them into a role better suited to them.  And finally, for employees who are just plain lazy, disruptive, difficult or toxic, consider moving them out of the business. These team members don't help the team and can do a lot of damage to the team.  Take action, and don't procrastinate. Good luck!

My birth took place January 7, 1949, on a small rural farm in East Tennessee, but somehow, I did not forget my spiritual nature in the process of arriving here as a human. As a child, I remembered myself being free from the limitations of form and language, and I made two vows: first, never to forget who I am and the freedom I had prior to birth, and second, to find my way home no matter what it took. In my youth, I experienced a nagging urge to know the Truth of my existence. By the age of 19, this urge developed into a fierce determination to find that Truth at the risk of everything – career, relationships, physical and even mental health. My quest took me into many investigations including teaching the TM program of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for 12 years. Every investigation left me dissatisfied until the late 1980s when Sathya Sai Baba began to appear in my dreams and meditations. I finally journeyed to Baba's ashram in July 1990. The moment I saw him step off the veranda, I recalled my childhood vow to find my way home. In that very moment, I knew He was living my home. In the fall of 1992, Shirdi Sai Baba appeared to me and took me into a state of union with His Presence. Over the following months, my personal identity completely dissolved. What remained was infinite formless Being, immense love, and the Truth I had sought. Over the next 12 years, I expanded in my understanding of Truth, and the knowledge that I am the originator of all existence took root in my innermost sense of subjectivity. Eventually, I found myself in a painful relationship with a woman and began investigating the human element I had been working diligently to overcome in the name of spirituality. I had difficulty justifying my intense feelings of distress with my very high sense of spiritual freedom as transcendent Consciousness. My investigation led me to an initial encounter with the embodied conscious awakening teachings of Saniel Bonder and Waking Down in Mutuality in 2002. I quickly concluded I needed help in balancing and integrating my Divine realization with my very human shadow and brokenness. When I experienced my embodied awakening, I witnessed Consciousness fall from my crown area into the Heart center on the right side of my chest. As the embodiment process has deepened, I have asked this question: ‘What does Life want of me?' From that query, the role of teaching Waking Down in Mutuality has arisen. I am clearly teaching what I need to learn and have much love to share for those who dare the journey into the great Mystery of embodied awakening.
