Ryan sets his foot into continuously building a global community of companies and leaders through workshops and urban communities, and in line with this are purpose and leadership. He defines purpose as something you are not committed to for the rest of your life, but rather something that will direct you in the next phase of your life. Your purpose will continuously evolve throughout your life, and we should learn to embrace these changes. Moreover, Ryan stressed that leadership is about setting a clear vision for the future and guiding people to achieve it. It also involves understanding oneself and the organization as a whole. Why are you alive? What is the business for? The best results are achieved through a clear purpose, accountability, and leadership. It is the key to having a great company culture that people want to be a part of. Listen as the interview on Finding Purpose In Building A Global Community Of Leaders Committed To Making The World A Better Place caps off with Ryan talking about purpose and leadership. Are entrepreneurs born or made? It can be a combination of both. Some of you might have a distant memory of your younger self mowing the lawn, selling some cookies or lemonades, or shoveling pathways to earn a few bucks. Out of our young mind's understanding, these little things are acts of entrepreneurship. As we grow older and gain knowledge, we may pursue further studies and hone our skills. Can you be an entrepreneur with a purpose in mind? Definitely YES! This is what PoP's guest, Ryan Allis, is all about. Ryan has demonstrated a keen interest in business ventures from an early age -- he has done landscaping for a local church, set up a computer business, and become a web designer. And as Ryan went to university, he explored more areas and met new people, and this is where he recognized the endless possibilities and opportunities ahead of him. Ryan is now the Chairman of Hive. His purpose on this planet is to build a global community of leaders committed to creating a better world. He was previously a technology entrepreneur and was CEO and Co-founder of iContact and led the company with 300 employees, 70,000 customers, and $50M in annual sales. In this week's episode of People of Purpose, Tanur and Ryan will talk about his constant drive to create and be a part of the solution and help people actualize their purpose. Coinstack - For Smart Crypto Investors - Bitcoin, Ethereum, DeFi & The Future of Money
In this podcast explain we why Decentralized Finance, or DeFi, is making the old financial system more efficient and secure through code -- while reducing costs and expanding access. We also talk about Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana, Terra, Polygon, Avalanche, Fantom, Waves, Huobi Eco Chain, Celo, Arbitrum, and Bitcoin. DeFi uses blockchains, smart contracts, price oracles, AMMs, and open source code to allocate and store capital more efficiently and securely than traditional markets. Instead of needing to trust a large institution, decentralized blockchains, validated by thousands of distributed node operators, offer better security and speed than the legacy system, with much of its legal structuring dating back to the 1930s and 1940s and much of its code written in the 1970s and 1980s. Legacy markets are centralized, opaque, and are open less than 35 hours per week. Blockchain-based markets are available continuously, trade 24/7/365, are transparent and interoperable, and their contracts are smart -- built with code instead of words. Filing cabinets and terabytes of Docusign repositories are being replaced by Github, the world's open-source code repository. Even governments are getting on board with China, Europe, the USA, the UK, Nigeria, and many others actively launching blockchain-based Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC). Welcome to the era of programmable money. Read more at: https://coinstack.substack.com/p/defi-and-the-future-of-finance-part-7eb

Greetings, SuperFriends, and welcome to a very special episode of The Becoming SuperHuman Podcast. Why is it special, you ask? Well, it's not every week that I turn 30 years old! To mark this milestone (which happens on March 18th), I wanted to do something special. To commemorate the very blessed and very unique life I've lead up until this point, and to reflect back on just what the heck I've learned over the last 30 years. Years ago, I was greatly inspired by Ryan Allis, who, on his 30th birthday, published a 1,284 slide presentation aptly named Lessons From My 20's. I very strongly recommend you check it out (at http://hive.org/20s) if you haven't already. In it, Ryan shares just about everything he learned over the period of 10 years as an entrepreneur, thought leader, and human being. I'm also deeply grateful to Gretchen Rubin, who, in her fantastic and pragmatic book on becoming a better human being, Better Than Before, shares a wonderfully catchy concept she calls "Secrets of Adulthood." Basically, a Secret of Adulthood is a powerful and simple lesson that can only be learned by, well, growing up and maturing. They range from the fanciful and fun, like "Try not to let yourself get too hungry," to the very serious and inspiring: "What you do EVERY DAY matters more than what you do ONCE IN A WHILE." Immediately after reading her book, I began collecting a list of my own - and that list is what you'll be hearing today. Some of them might be strange. Some of them controversial. Many were learned in deeply cherished books, yet still many in passing conversations with complete strangers. Some learned at the highest of highs, and others at the most harrowing and horrific of lows. Some are completely unique, and others simply build on those before them. But from my perspective, each of them is, unquestionably, true - at least in my experience. With that said, I invite you to let me know what you think? Has life taught you some of these same lessons? Or perhaps others that I have yet to learn? We are each so unique shaped by the paths that we travel on, and I find it most fascinating just how much those paths often converge.

How does a wristband help a founder build a $169 million company? Ryan Allis is the founder of iContact, a provider of email marketing tools for small businesses. And a company that was recently sold for $169 million to Vocus. Here’s a quote from the last time I interviewed him, “we incorporated in July ’03, lived in the office, slept on futons, cooked on a George Foreman grill, did whatever we had to do to keep expenses low, while we built up revenue and customers, and improved the product.” Those are the challenges for a startup and it was inspiring to hear his story from those days. This time, I want to ask him about the challenges of going from a successful startup to a company that generates tens of millions a year. Ryan Allis is the Co-Founder of iContact, a provider of email marketing tools for small businesses. Sponsored byRevolution Productions – Do you have a great product, but people aren’t trying it? You might have too much text on your site. Video, more than text, helps people understand what you’ve created and convinces them to buy it. I recommend you go to Revolution-Productions.com. When you do, talk directly to the founder, Anish Patel, and tell him I sent you. He’ll make sure you have a great video that convinces people to buy your product. Walker Corporate Law – Scott Edward Walker is the lawyer entrepreneurs turn to when they want to raise money or sell their companies, but if you’re just getting started, his firm will help you launch properly. Watch this video to learn about him. Grasshopper – Don’t make the mistake of comparing Grasshopper with other phone services. Check out their features and you’ll see why Grasshopper isn’t just a phone number, it’s the virtual phone system that entrepreneurs (like me) love.
