Kelly and Mark rave about the 3-minute short Dr. Quinn, Morphine Woman, a hilarious parody we both adore and wish had more like it! Release Date: December 3, 2014 (United States), available on platforms like Prime Video. Director: Lauren Palmigiano (credited as LP). Writers: Lindsay Kearns (written by) Beth Sullivan (credited for characters created, as she was the creator of the original Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman). Producers: Dan Bernstein and Eleanor Winkler. Cinematographer: Jonathan Nicholas. Cast: Jane Seymour as Dr. Michaela Quinn Joe Lando as Byron Sully Jonelle Allen as Grace Orson Bean as Loren Bray Geoffrey Lower as Rev. Timothy Johnson Henry G. Sanders as Robert E. Charles Baker (known for Breaking Bad's Skinny Pete) in a cameo. Runtime: 3 minutes Production Company: Funny or Die, a comedy content platform known for satirical skits. The short humorously subverts the family-friendly tone of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman (1993–1998), which starred Jane Seymour as a compassionate doctor in the Old West. In Dr. Quinn, Morphine Woman, Dr. Quinn has turned to prescribing morphine, cocaine, and whiskey, addicting the entire town. The parody mimics Breaking Bad's visual and narrative style, with Quinn adopting a Walter White-esque persona, complete with dramatic close-ups and a drug-lord attitude. Key gags include Quinn forcing morphine on a patient with a minor injury and a Breaking Bad-style title card. The original cast's return adds nostalgic appeal, while the exaggerated premise pokes fun at gritty TV reboots. Critics and fans found it a clever, if brief, send-up of both shows. The film has a 7.2/10 rating on IMDb and is lauded for its sharp satire and the cast's commitment to the absurd premise. It's a niche but entertaining piece for fans of the original series or Breaking Bad. Dr. Quinn, Morphine Woman originally aired on March 12, 1994 Now there’s a place to buy Dr QuinnCast Merchandise! https://www.etsy.com/shop/ForYourLittleHouse Maybe you want something a little more handmade? This week we are trying to outsmart a genie while we discuss “Je Souhaite”! We're talking this episode chock-full of Classic Vince Guys, Small Mouth, whether or not the Boo Crew has groupies, the return of Scully's Silly Science Corner, proto-Badger and Skinny Pete, and poor Gillian still in debt from mime school. We rage against Scully's evidence theft-related PTSD, figure out lip protection, do more Vince impressions that are getting farther and farther away from reality, and discuss bugs tossing helium atoms as a method of assassination. Also important: the correct term for having an X-File happen at you is to be stricken. Add it to the record books. It's official.NOTE: Please submit Season 7 questions/comments by April 21st!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

The episode is loaded with a bunch of music shared with us, some great older tracks, mentioning of the upcoming live shows, discuss a great charity compilation from Liberty or Death Records, and wrap up the show with a couple metal tracks.
In this awesome interview, I spoke to Charles Baker who portrayed Blake Sherman, Jr in the movie "Splinter" where he was the first character introduced in the movie to be the first human victim. He said that when he auditioned for the role, he brought his famous "I Love Bikinis" hat which landed him the part. Also, even though he died at the beginning of the movie, he also took part in playing the monster/creature in several scenes and he said he had an absolute blast doing that! There are also some special effect secrets he delved into while filming "Splinter". Mr. Baker is an all-around awesome actor, one of my favorites! He even provided a small line from when he played "Skinny Pete" from AMC's Breaking Bad, that was most excellent! Be sure to check him out in the low-budget independent film, "Fright Flick" where available. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/southjerseyhorror/message

John Venable, Charlie Baker & Jeff Howard at SOFF 2019 Writer, Actor and Producer John Venable brought his film "First Person" to the Sherman Oaks Film Festival in 2019 and this hilarious comedy found launches Season 3 of the Discover Indie Film TV Series on Amazon Prime Video by being the first film in the first episode. At the festival Q&A John and his team shared the interesting concept behind the film's production; it began with a short screenplay contest called "Hollywood Connection Short Screenplay Contest" at shortscreenplay.com where the winning script would be produced. And unlike a lot of contests, John followed through and made the film! Not only did he make the film, but he brought in lead actor Charles Baker, known to the public as Skinny Pete from Breaking Bad. Jordan sits down with Breaking Bad actor, Charles Baker (who plays Skinny Pete) in one of the most heartbreaking and inspiring episodes of What's Your Limp? yet!Charles survived bombings in the Middle East as a child, was abandoned by his mother at 11 years old and overcame three suicide attempts to end up where he is today. And that's just scratching the surface of his incredible success story. The things this guy went through are gut wrenching and very few people ever recover from that kind of trauma. But Charles did. And we are so grateful that he was gracious enough to share his story with us on What's Your Limp?
Oh look it's a bird, it's a plane, it's Cancer Man. That joke needed to be made, and we've done it. The gang also welcomes Combo and Skinny Pete for the first time. Discussion topics include countertops, $10,000 bills, and who Meg would rather kiss on the show. Please suck this content right into your brain hole for that's how we gain power.

Happy new year! We're taking a look back to find the gold in the turd of a year that was 2020. But first, the year's final travel news, including Snow White's new Disneyland digs,a first look at the Disney Wish cruise ship, and the world's most expensive and stupid taco. Pour a toast and find someone to kiss at midnight, it's time to hit the trail with the Gold Key Adventurers Society! News: Snow White refurb unveiled at Disneyland http://bit.ly/DLSnowWhiteRefurb Quintana Roo tourist tax http://bit.ly/QuintanaRooTax WDW Water Park opening dates http://bit.ly/BlizzardBeachReopenDate Bermuda/Costco mail in Covid tests http://bit.ly/BermudaCostco Disney Wish Atrium Preview http://bit.ly/DisneyWishAtrium World's Most Expensive Taco at Cabo Resort http://bit.ly/MostExpensiveTaco Well guys, we made it. 2020 threw everything it had at us, from a global pandemic and the associated hit to the global economy and travel industry, to murder hornets, solar flares, wild fires, volcanic eruptions, a whole buttload of hurricanes, and the most...eventful presidential election anyone could have imagined, and we made it out the other end. We baked bread and planted gardens, did just about everything virtually over video conferences, spent so so so so much more time with our families, found safe new ways to fulfill our wanderlust, and dreamed about where we'd go and the adventures we'd have once the rest of the world opened back up to travel. Let's start by taking a look back In January we, started off with a look at some of the exciting new attractions that were slated to debut in theme parks in 2020-and some of them even opened this year. We also talked about cuddling cows for therapeutic and other reasons at a B and B in upstate New York (http://bit.ly/CowCuddlesGKAS), some of the outlandish things we've overheard guests say while visiting the Disney theme parks, and Jess took us on a tour of Denmark's sick, twisted theme park masterpiece, Bon Bon Land (http://bit.ly/GKASBonBonLand). In February, we made some travel trend predictions for 2020 that mostly didn't pan out. Maybe they'll come back around in 2021. We also learned about the majestic quokka, visited a bizarre and slightly sad military theme park in Transylvania (ArsenalParkKTTW),and bathed in Ramen in the most savory spa in Japan (tp://bit.ly/RamenSpaKTTW) We also took a look at some of the best hidden gems at Walt Disney World, and visited the Phallological museum in Iceland (http://bit.ly/PhallologicalMuseumGKAS). Then we talked about all our favorite Disney Parks parties, Barbecue came to EPCOT's American pavilion, and we learned all about Tokyo's Penis Festival (http://bit.ly/KanamaraMatsuri ) March is when things started to get a little weird for most of us, and we started it out with a visit to a themed experience in a Soviet bunker Lithuania which lets you see what it was like to live in the USSR (http://bit.ly/SovietBunkNewsStory). We also took a quick trip to Walt Disney World right before it temporarily shut down, where we experienced everyone's favorite NBA Experience at Disney Springs, and the newly opened Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. Then we shared some of our favorite ways to bring the magic of the Disney parks into our homes for 2020's worst travel trend, staycations, and explored not one but two theme parks dedicated to letting you experience the Buddhist version of hell. April started with travel dreams as we discussed our bucket list destinations with special guests and our personal troubadours the Outer Vibe (www.outervibe.com), and Jess introduced us to South Korea's Loveland Park, a racy sculpture garden (https://bit.ly/LovelandParkNSFW). Then we dared each other to get adventurous with weird and wonderful new experiences around the world, went on a “Night Walk” border crossing experience in Mexico (https://to.pbs.org/2VJoaBV), and finished out the month with a lesson in how to survive a bear attack where we met our friend Punchy The Bear (https://bit.ly/AoMBearAttack), explored the creepiest items in museums around the world including the infamous NecroPants (https://bit.ly/CreepiestItemsAtTheMuseum), and took a tour of all our favorite bars in Walt Disney World, In May we were still thirsty, so we took our bark crawl to Universal Orlando Resort, and also visited a South Korean theme park dedicated to all aspects of the humble bathroom (https://bit.ly/RestroomCulturalPark). Then we explored some of our favorite travel movies, and shared our end of term research papers on US travel destinations and theme park history. June brought news of the Orlando theme parks reopening, so we spent some time looking at what a trip to a theme park in the times of the big sick would look like, Heather shared a trip report from the freshly reopened Universal Orlando Resort, and we explored the all American road trip vacation. We also visited a real life West World style amusement park in Japan, met the Social Distancing Skunk Ape, the Wizard of Bras, and our good friend Skinny Pete when we visited the National Hobo Convention in Britt, Iowa. In July we continued our look at classic Summer Vacation destinations with episodes on amusement parks and water parks, before closing out the month with a trip report from the freshly reopened Walt Disney World Resort. We also talked about exploring the outer reaches of earth in a space balloon, and the new Jason Bourne Stuntacular, with special effects so real you don't know where the real world ends and the screen begins. We visited the skull crushing Action Park in New Jersey (https://bit.ly/ActionParkGKAS), learned to scream inside our hearts ,and toured the sadly defunct World of Sid and Marty Krofty theme park (https://bit.ly/WorldOfSidAndMartyKroftAO). In August we celebrated our 1 year anniversary with an Ask Me Anything episode. We also talked about our travel dreams for 2021, and took a tour of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts. September was mostly devoted to Universal Orlando Resort, with a tour of all our favorite things to do at Universal, plus a look at our favorite places to eat, shop, and be entertained at Disney Springs. Then we kicked off October with a trip report from our visit to Universal, before spending most of the month getting spooky-we visited haunted destinations around the world, and took a deep dive into the Haunted Mansion. We also did a little armchair imagineering and designed our own theme park rides based on Disney movies, and learned about the secret world of Japanese cuddle cafes. In November, we went shopping, gave a preview of Walt Disney World Holiday celebrations, played another round of Unpopular Opinions, and planned our perfect Disney day with a sports style draft. We also visited a museum of parasites in Japan (https://bit.ly/JapanParasiteMuseum), learned why you should try to cook in the thermal springs of Yellowstone Park (https://bit.ly/YellowstoneChickenGuy), celebrated backyard Imagineering with an incredible homemade recreation of Disneyland's Matterhorn, we learned why Sweden celebrates Christmas Eve with Donald Duck (https://bit.ly/DonaldDuckSwedishXMas), Japan prefers their Christmas with Kentucky Fried Chicken (https://bit.ly/JapanKFCXmas), and Heather took us on a tour of Italy's ham dungeons (https://bit.ly/HamDungeons). We've kept December pretty low key, watching travel TV shows, celebrating Walt Disney's Birthday, and celebrating holiday traditions around the world, met the Yule Lads (https://bit.ly/YuleLadsArticle), and looked forward to our travel lives getting a little closer to returning to normal in 2021 with the approval and roll out of vaccines for the COVID-19 virus. While Episode 130 of KnockBack was dedicated to the first two seasons of AMC's crime drama Breaking Bad, this episode of our podcast is in ode to the show's third and fourth seasons, when things really start to get hairy. In these seasons, we have The Cousins. A ratcheting up of the danger surrounding working with Gus and the Mexican cartels. The car wash. Tons of contextual flashbacks. A whole lot of Saul Goodman. Ted and the IRS (and his "Act of God"). Jesse's relapse. The return of Badger and Skinny Pete. Hank's near-murder and redemption. I mean... there's a ton to cover. » Read & Share the full article HERE When I published my article Dear Hollywood: We Don’t Want to ‘Go Back to Normal.’ Normal Wasn’t Working I was absolutely floored by the response as I watched it spread like wildfire across social media in all sectors of the entertainment industry. I honestly never thought this message would ever reach beyond my tiny little (windowless) corner of the post-production world. From 2nd assistant directors in Mexico City to makeup artists in North Carolina to corporate video editors in Germany to accountants in Japan, not to mention countless directors, producers, and even actors (Skinny Pete, yo!), I’ve heard from people on all six continents. From marketing to features to advertising to television to documentary, above-the-line and below-the-line, union and non-union alike - the idea of nobody wanting to go back to ’Normal’ clearly struck a nerve. Once again, Hollywood...sorry not sorry. As I said in my interview with Cathy Repola, National Executive Director of the Motion Picture Editors Guild (Local #700): This is not just a union issue. This is a human issue. We all seem to be in universal agreement the way we did things pre-pandemic in the entertainment industry wasn’t working. Since sharing my own list of what I believed wasn’t working, I’ve received hundreds of messages and included many of your personal stories about what hasn’t been working in your lives. (Here’s the full list of the personal stories people have shared with me anonymously). There are countless important issues unique to people’s circumstances that clearly need to be addressed. But regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status or otherwise, there is one fundamental core issue driving the vast majority of the problems in the entertainment industry that needs to be addressed now: The hours we work. Time is the ultimate equalizer. We all have the same 24 hours a day and 7 days per week. And we all universally agree we don’t have enough time to do our jobs properly without sacrificing our relationships, our health, or our sanity in the process (not to mention those who have literally given their lives for the sake of entertainment). Hollywood, it’s time for a much-needed (and overdue) intervention. As I stated in my previous article, for the first time in cinema history we’re no longer “building the plane while flying it,” the plane is in the hangar and we have the opportunity to make significant upgrades. And where we need to start is rewiring the expectations of how many hours per week it really takes to create entertainment (Reminder: We’re not curing cancer). I believe that not only CAN we find a solution to make 45 hours the new standard workweek in Hollywood, but also because of Covid-19 we no longer have any choice; we MUST make 45 hours the new standard. Both our livelihoods and our lives literally depend on it. Want your voice to be heard? You never thought you would be seeing this guy again. Breaking Bad may have ended in 2013, but Jesse Pickman’s story is not over. It’s time for him ride into the sunset one more time. The film picks up right where the show left off, Jesse has escaped in the infamous El Camino and is fleeing New Mexico for parts unknown. Aaron Paul gives a command performance. He has grown so much as an actor since putting on the yellow jumpsuit. The best part of the El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, is that even a casual watcher can enjoy it. Although it lives in the Breaking Bad universe and we get to see a lot of characters from the show, even Walt makes an appearance and there are a lot of callbacks, it is a great movie. Vince Gillian does an amazing job once again crafting a riveting story both told in words and cinematically. One of the best aspects about El Camino is the juxtaposition between what Jesse went through and what he’s experiencing the present. Small example: Jesse slinks over to Skinny Pete’s and Badger’s to hideout. As he taking a shower to clean off the cage, he flashes back get drenched by the white supremacists. This scene sets the tone for the rest of the movie. The flashbacks happen frequently, but always with purpose. The movie is just as dark and intense as the show ever was. It does hangs a little long in some scenes and could’ve shaved 30 minutes off, but Aaron Paul is amazing so it doesn’t matter.
In this episode you'll learn the origin story of your cohost, Skinny Pete. Also, we talk about Achievement Hunter, Reddit, and Chris Pratt's religion.
