In dieser Folge schicken wir euch in den April! Natürlich nicht wirklich, aber die englische Übersetzung des deutschen "April, April!" hat uns auf das Thema für diesen Monat gebracht: Es geht um "Fools", also um Menschen, die hereingelegt wurden oder sich selbst zum Gespött der Leute machen. Es erwarten euch Retro-Jazz, Soul-Funk, Faux-Disco und Singer-Songwriter-Musik. Hintergrund-Infos galore, wie man im Englischen sagt, sind wie immer inklusive. Und nach längerer Zeit kommen auch Frank-Zappa-Fans mal wieder auf ihre Kosten.

Tekibama est le 2nd album de Jon Onj. Les sonorités R'n'B/Soul, qui constituent la principale influence du néo-Marseillais, se retranscrivent dans les 13 titres avec des influences plus contemporaines qui lorgnent sur le hip-hop et l'electro. Accompagné sur scène avec ses musiciens, et sur l'album par différents featurings dont Charles X et Soopadoopa sur Multibounce -le titre au groove implacable- ou Liquid Jane sur Could You Be Mine -qui réussit l'exploit de rendre le français sexy sur des sons plutôt adaptés à l'anglais-, Jon Onj est pour autant seul à la composition, laissant une large place à l'introspection et sa personnalité dans ses créations. Tekibama -si vous avez une idée de ce que ça signifie, faites vos propositions!!- est un petit bijou dans les ambiances croisées d'un R'n'B langoureux et d'un néo Soul/Funk chaloupé. Jazz Rap 采样的爵士很多都不是所谓经典的真爵士经典爵士和嘻哈的节奏并不相容，嘻哈采样的多为 60 70 年代之后的 crossover jazz，jazz funk或 fusion 类爵士。在乐迷中（起码在国内）， 这类爵士在以前并不被认为是特别好的爵士，也不会有人仔细介绍，可能真的是嘻哈听众在寻根过程中把他们的地位重新抬起来了，经过十多年听众和观念的迭代，这在现在似乎不是问题了，但在当年是一个很大观念的转变，老林个人经验是从 70 年代这些偏跨界的爵士往前听，更容易理解传统爵士的玩法。05. 爵士与说唱从表的跨界到里的融合那些反过来被 Hip Hop 影响的跨界爵士乐手们，前辈有 Miles Davis，Herbie Hancock, 参与“Jazzmatazz” 的爵士乐手们：Donald Byrd, Roy Ayers; 同辈的有 Greg Osby, Branford Marsalis, Ronny Jordan, J Spencer, Jazzhole, 还有很多 Acid Jazz，大部分这种跨界停留在表演形式上的的调整，我们提到的专辑有：Miles Davis “Doo-Bop”(1992), Greg Osby “3-D Lifestyles”(1993) ;爵士老前辈对后辈的扶持：Weldon Irvine 给过 Black Star 很多帮助，Horace Tapscott 对加州新爵士的扶持，还给 Myka 9 伴奏；家族传承：Bill Lee 和 Spike Lee 父子，Olu Dara 和 Nas 父子，Marion Brown 和 Dijinji Brown 父子，Abdullah Ibrahim 和 Jean Grae 父女；06. 对于 Jazzy Hip Hop 和 Jazz Rap 并无意义的区别解释Jazzy Hip Hop 风格主要来源 Fat Jon 和 Nujabes 在 00s 初期的作品，影响了之后的 Lo-Fi Hip Hop，与 Jazz Rap 的对比毫无意义，完全是两回事，或许可以说前者是受到了 Jazz Rap 的影响，旦这类风格被抬高是极没必要的，在某个时期被小众乐迷圈中被过度解读导致了顽固至今的错误认识。Jazzy Hip Hop 里含爵士量不是评判好坏的标准，只是此类别较多浑水摸鱼之辈，很多旋律非常廉价且千篇一律。Episode Playlist:A Tribe Called Quest - “Scenario”Stetsasonic - “Talkin' All That Jazz”Gang Starr - “Jazz Thing”Gang Starr - “The Place We Dwell”Guru - “Loungin'" ft. From the fabulous opening piano chords on the David Penn remix of "Our Love (80s)" by Yours to the sweat-inducing "Body Next To Mine" by Alex Adair and Bottom Up, this summer Funky House set hits all the right notes. A personal favorite is "Post That (Shit)" by Deon Cole and Terry Hunter. This track exudes a vogue vibe, beckoning listeners to post their poses to social media while enjoying a very Salsoul Records feel. The Chicago callout reminds us that the city is the birthplace of House Music. Mark Lower and Alexandra Prince give us a summery cocktail spin on "Paradise," a remake of the Sade classic. Tyshawn Colquitt remakes the disco classic "Spank" with DJ Spen adding a faithful garage mix, complete with horns. Armand Van Helden updates his early Millennium classic "My My My" with the uncredited Tara McDonald on vocals, creating another personal favorite. Meanwhile, Simon Fava, Yvvan Back & Cumbiafrica bring "The Heat" with their Latin Tech House track, which is currently topping many playlists. Another standout is "Move On Up" by Curtis Mayfield, with the incomparable Mark Knight performing remix duties. I didn't realize that the "Superfly" guy originally sang this song. Destination took it to #1 on the Disco charts in 1979, and Knight gives the original Soul/Funk version the Disco treatment, using Mayfield's original vocals. It's absolutely uplifting! DJ Ritmo Latino's "Ritmo Latino" is one of several Latin House songs included here that lend a salsa vibe laid over a house beat. Yvvan Back and Afterman deliver the Tech House track "Who's That Girl," which, with its Latin House delivery, belongs here more than on any Tech House set, where it's currently riding high. Finally, two other favorites are "Ain't Got No" by KPD and David Penn. The upbeat bounce of the song contrasts with the singer's declaration that she "ain't got nobody," a weird pairing that just works. Equally, Serge Funk's "Please Don't Leave" delivers a satisfying early 70s vibe laid over a Disco House beat that, contrary to the singer's plea, makes you elated and eager to dance. Believe it or not, I knocked out Beach House 2024 in one sitting, aiming for a carefree, open vibe to accompany the music, and it just melted together like butter! Beach House 2024 is your summer soundtrack to plain ole fun.

Source: https://www.spreaker.com/user/17183748/free-ringtone-female-vocal-iservalan-log #iservalan #taletellerclub #free #freemusic #freesamples #logicprohey Groovers so it's really noisy in the studio today because we've got some um a band doing some production in the recording room so you might hear that you won't hear it on your file though this is your free ringtone and what did I do I did that thing again mixing up genres so I really like the Trap drum bit um of when you go to choose your drummer on logic pro if you go for the hip-hop one there's a series and one of them's called trap so I I like it I don't know why but I do but then I found this really nice Soul Funk loop on Apple Loops so I thought ah do you know what I'm gonna use that because there's quite a lot of funk in hip-hop actually if you didn't know that it's it's been noted before actually that you know this sort of um genre of soul and Funk really really is deeply embedded in hip-hop so although they've got different names actually you know they don't sound like you know for example if I'd put a pop uh a pop song with a bad a pop loop with a ballad uh songwriter drum for example although I might try that out tomorrow this is the thing isn't it when you start playing around with software you can try things out really really quickly so you don't actually have to you know say to the band right let's do it in the style of and you know half your band can't play their instruments properly or half and a drunk or half the band just are so stuck in their ways that they can't sort of think out of their box you see what I mean so the wonderful thing about using software and AI which I use every day of course is that you can experiment at very little cost it's very little Financial cost but it's also very little time cost time is money my dad always used to say but if you're time Rich it isn't money is it if you've got nothing else to do then of course you know practicing your cello like I do on my piano I can try out different things I think right let's try a little bit of Boogie Woogie piano see if I like that see if see what I think but that's because I've been playing piano for years what if you don't play an instrument well this is where software is really really good for that experiment now I've been looking at Avid Pro Tools which wasn't compatible with my setup or at least I couldn't get the zoom mic the H6 and my sonus preamp working with it so just Total Drama I don't know what I did wrong but I will try another time perhaps when you know when I finally meet a man he's got to be a man because and he's got to be you know really obsessed with engineering that because the these guys are always brilliant and I recognize them so hopefully I'll meet one one day on my travels and I'll say would you want to come round just have a look at my at my Pro Tools see if we can get it working um that's another shortcut actually find someone who knows get them round get you know offer a bit of um cake to get them around to come and sort out your software as it were um so what else well logic pro is really really good for experimenting because you can drag and drop all those Loops really really quickly you can try all the different plugins you can save as a template your favorite workings of things and it remembers in the Legacy drop down um what you did before with it so that's really good as well so I've sort of come back to logic pro after losing them I did manage to download it again for free but well not for free I'd paid 190 quid now just a quick word of advice here if you can't find it if you're going to your apps on Apple on yeah apple and you can't and you search for logic pro and it's charging you 199 again that's because they've just done an upgrade guys so what you're asking them to do is download a copy of something that you don't already have so you have to click on that little arrow down if it's still not coming log into the make sure you're logged into the right Apple ID this is what I did yesterday but also don't look up I mean what I was doing I was looking for Logic Pro X and it was coming up with their new version if I just put in logic pro it came up with my version okay So eventually I got it back thank goodness I didn't want to have to buy all that again and I've also downloaded it on the big computer so we'll have a go on that later anyway sorry it was a bit noisy in here today here is um come on baby Soul Funk hip-hop drum my free ringtone to you guys today um if you res look I'm not going to come after you if you use it for commercial projects but do me a favor sample it change it up you know do something interesting with it and then let me know so you can have this one come on baby [Music]

The inspiration of meeting so many extraordinary Grammy award winning talent along with his recent life-threatening rafting experience, brought about an existential experience that changed the course of his life. This is a special mix drawing on influences from the infamous Legend nightclub in Manchester in the 80's with Greg Wilson as it's DJ and also the equally as legendary Blackpool Mecca nightclub from the 70's with my hero Colin Curtis DJing Northern Soul. The mix uses music specifically from the 70's and 80's period that have been reworked for a modern dancefloor. The mix begins with SOS Band's original masterpiece 'Just Be Good To Me' and then takes you on a journey through time in a Soulful and Groovy manner. I've also played a Todd Edwards style in places with mashed up vocals while keeping the original underlying sound of the track intact.
