Samedi dernier, la ville de Mulhouse a connu une véritable scène d'horreur. Un homme armé d'un couteau et d'un tournevis s'est attaqué à plusieurs personnes en plein centre ville, faisant une victime grave, un ressortissant portugais de 69 ans, qui a malheureusement perdu la vie. Plusieurs autres personnes ont été blessées, dont deux agents du stationnement de la ville. L'homme suspecté d'avoir perpétré cet attentat mortel a été déféré par le parquet antiterroriste ce mercredi. Ce ressortissant algérien était déjà connu des services de police pour des faits en lien avec le terrorisme et faisait l'objet d'une obligation de quitter le territoire français. Évidemment, c'est cet aspect qui a monopolisé l'attention de la sphère médiatico-politique. Sauf qu'à la suite d'une précédente condamnation, le suspect a fait l'objet d'une expertise ayant détecté "un profil schizophrène". Plusieurs attentats terroristes en France ont soulevé des questions complexes sur le rôle des troubles psychiatriques dans le passage à l'acte violent. Alors que certains auteurs présumés ont été déclarés pénalement irresponsables, d'autres, bien que souffrant de troubles mentaux, ont été condamnés.
