Resetting in 2026 New year. Same marriage problems? Here's the thing: most people approach a new year with good intentions but no actual reset. They keep doing the same things, waiting for different results. And when it comes to saving your marriage, that's a recipe for staying stuck. In this week's podcast, I walk you through five critical resets you need to make in 2026. Not resolutions. Resets. There's a difference. If you play pickleball, you know what a reset is. When what you're doing isn't working, you reset the ball. You slow it down. You step back and start fresh. That's what we're doing here with your marriage. What Needs to Go (and What Needs to Come In) I break down five specific shifts, each with something that needs to be "out" and something that needs to be "in" for your process this year. The first reset deals with the most common trap I see: waiting for your spouse to join you before you start working on things. Spoiler alert—that's exactly backwards. One person always starts the process. That's normal. The question is whether you're going to be that person or keep waiting. The second reset tackles what I call "Idea ADD"—jumping from YouTube video to blog post to the next shiny object the algorithm throws at you. You're trusting an algorithm instead of following a clear, consistent approach. That has to stop. The third reset is about ditching the seat-of-your-pants approach. Flying by the seat of your pants IS a system. It's just a losing system. You need an actual written plan and systems in place to support it. The fourth reset changes how you think about hope. Most people treat hope like a feeling they're waiting to experience. Wrong. Hope is something you build using a specific formula. I'll walk you through the equation. The fifth reset shifts you from pushing and chasing your spouse (which only creates more distance) to something far more effective: inviting connection. Small shift. Massive difference. Why This Matters Right Now We're just into 2026. You've got a choice in front of you. You can approach your marriage the same way you did last year, or you can actually reset your approach. These aren't theoretical concepts. They're the backbone of how I've helped thousands of people turn their marriages around. They're built into my Save The Marriage System, my VIP program, and my Unpause app. They're the three C's in action: Connect with your spouse. Change yourself. Create a new path. Each of these five resets moves you toward one or more of those three areas. And each one is something you can control and execute on, regardless of where your spouse is right now. Listen to this episode if you're serious about making 2026 different. Not just hopeful it will be different. Actually different. Because hope isn't something you wait for. It's something you build. At CES 2026, Jensen Huang once again reset the economics of AI factories. In particular, despite recent industry narratives that Nvidia's moat is eroding, our assessment is the company has further solidified its position as the hardware and software standard for the next generation of computing. In the same way Intel and Microsoft dominated the Moore's Law era, we believe Nvidia will be the mainspring of tech innovation for the foreseeable future. Importantly, the previous era saw a doubling of performance every two years. Today Nvidia is driving annual performance improvements of 5X, throughput of 10X…driving token demand of 15X via Jevons Paradox.
This week, the guys discuss the Cowboys firing defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus as the organization signals urgency following another season defined by defensive breakdowns. With continued issues in red zone defense, communication, and explosive plays allowed, the conversation centers on what Dallas actually needs from its next defensive leader and whether this move comes too late to fully capitalize on the current roster window.Around the league, a wave of coaching changes reshapes the NFL landscape as Baltimore, Cleveland, Miami, and several other teams move on from longtime leadership in search of new direction. In the NBA, Atlanta officially closes the book on an era by trading Trae Young to Washington in one of the first franchise-altering deals of the season. In music, Bruno Mars announces a new album, The Romantic, and rumors swirl about a potential surprise release from a major artist, sparking the question of whether surprise drops still move the needle.

What if the most important thing your team needs right now isn't a new strategy, but a reset? Rosie invites us to consider the intentional, proactive resets we often overlook. While momentary resets help us realign in the middle of chaos, Rosie challenges us to go further, and to step out of the momentum and create space for reflection, realignment, and recalibration. Whether it's after a major project, a season of change, or just the end of a week, these moments are ripe for choosing how we want to move forward. Rosie leaves listeners with a clear invitation: stop riding the wave of life on autopilot. Take the wheel. Plan your resets. Drive your own growth. Additional Resources: Connect with Rosie on LinkedIn Learn more about Salveo Partners Follow PeopleForward Network on LinkedIn Learn more about PeopleForward Network Key Takeaways: Schedule proactive resets, not just reactive ones. Reflect weekly on what worked and didn't. Life's momentum can blur intentional living. Be the driver, not just the passenger. Resets help realign goals with current realities.
What happens when the skills that built your pet care business are no longer the ones it needs to grow? In this episode, we respond to a thoughtful listener question about the uncomfortable transition from doing the work to running a company. We unpack why growth often feels harder instead of easier, even when things are "going well." We walk through three major mindset resets that every owner eventually faces as responsibilities shift. This conversation is about sustainability, leadership, and learning how to care at scale. Main topics: From execution to decisions Passion versus standardization Accountability and leadership Identity shift as owner Sustainability at scale Main takeaway: "You didn't stop caring—you learned how to care at scale." If your work feels different than it used to, that doesn't mean you've lost your passion. It means your role has changed. What once required your hands now requires your judgment, your restraint, and your leadership. Caring at scale means building systems, setting standards, and making decisions that protect the quality of care even when you aren't the one doing the visit. That shift can feel uncomfortable, but it's often the clearest sign that your business has grown into something that can last. Links: Check out our Starter Packs See all of our discounts! In today's episode, Bob ‘n Joyce reflect on the start of a new year and the importance of pausing to renew and reset our intentions. Many of us begin January with resolutions to improve our health, habits, and overall well-being. Thoughtful organizations do the same—taking time to reflect on what's working, what's not, and what truly needs to change. In organizational development, this process is often called a reset. Bob ‘n Joyce explore one proven methodology—the Future Search Conference—that helps teams and organizations step back, make sense of their current reality, and align around a shared and preferred future. Why does a structured approach to an organizational reset matter? Because good intentions alone rarely lead to lasting change. Most personal New Year's resolutions fade by Valentine's Day, and organizational change efforts face the same risk—many stall, lose momentum, or fall short of their goals. Whether you're setting personal intentions for 2026 or leading a team that needs a thoughtful reset, this episode offers practical insights to help turn reflection into meaningful action. Come on in. Grab a healthy snack. You're welcome here.

What if restoring impossible relationships just required knowing what's on the other side? In this episode, Greg Stephens shares how 24 years as a master trainer for Crucial Conversations taught him that breakthroughs aren't permanent until they're practiced over and over. That realization led him to shift from training to coaching, creating a six-month program where executives and emerging leaders have conversations they never thought possible. His specialty? Seeing relationships like some people see music, orchestrating conversations where people show up as their best. Greg also reveals why his mentor Bill Solomon intentionally made his welding job miserable before college, teaching him the resilience he'd need to push through Baylor surrounded by wealthy students. Most powerfully, he explains "emotional accounting": why putting off a Friday conversation until Monday doesn't just ruin your weekend, it costs you exponentially more on the back end. [00:04:44] What Alignment Resources Does Company goal: everyone eats at the trough (trainers train, coaches coach, sales people sell, speakers speak) Greg's specialty lives in areas of difficult relationships, everyone has at least one Works with relationships that seem impossible Application of Crucial Conversations tools for talking when stakes are high [00:05:40] Twenty-Four Years Teaching Crucial Conversations Was master trainer in Crucial Conversations, taught it for 24 years starting in 2001 Before the book was written, it was called "Path to Dialogue" then "Dialogue Smarts" One of first master trainers, stayed until January this year when he released his book Got to travel the world, train on stage, do keynote talks [00:06:00] Why Breakthroughs Need Practice People would take class, have great experience, have aha breakthrough moments Found that breakthroughs aren't permanent until they're practiced over and over If you want permanence around a breakthrough, you've gotta go do something That piece was lacking, so decided to shift business to coaching [00:06:20] The Six Month Coaching Program About six month program, 20 different weeks Teaching executives and emerging leaders (ages 21-28) Wanted to teach younger generation what executives said "I wish I'd learned this 20, 30 years ago" Most people say "I've had a coach before, this is nothing like it" [00:07:00] Building Up and Completing Relationships Build people up in relationships, let them go back and improve, clean up, or complete relationships Complete doesn't mean never see person again (could, but doesn't have to) Can work next to person and have completed relationship around an issue It just doesn't show up for you anymore because you know where you stand, said what you need to say [00:07:40] The Skills Most People Don't Have Coaches and mentors say "you need to go have this conversation," but how? There are skill sets you need, the application of them, and how to make adjustments People talk about psychological safety but don't know how to create it What to do when your emotions take hold or other person's emotions take hold [00:08:20] How to Really Listen When You Disagree How do you begin to really listen when you disagree with everything being said? How do you get on the right topic? Most people don't know how to dissect and break down conversations Greg helps dissect it and break it down for people [00:08:40] Executives on Retainer Some executives don't want to learn all skill sets, just want someone to do it for them Working with groups on retainer where they call when they have big problem They lay out background, what they've done, then Greg lays out plan for conversation Role plays exactly what might happen, clients say "it was like you were right there" [00:10:00] When People Don't Show Up as Their Best Sometimes people have breakdown, don't show up as their best, come back saying "I really blew it" Great learning point, it needed to be this way Limiting belief: thinking it's over when conversation goes badly When you know these skills, you can go back over and over and reset [00:11:20] What Drives Greg Most Watching people restore relationships they thought were just not possible Worked with police captains on issue, individual conversations showed no one thought it could be done Scheduled for four sessions, had breakthrough after first session One person took responsibility for their part, allowed everyone else to take responsibility [00:13:00] It's Still Hard Even With Skills People say "you have the skill, you should be able to do it" Greg still doesn't like having difficult conversations Doesn't want to have the conversation, but wants what's on the other side "Stop looking at the conversation right now. Let's look at what you want beyond that." [00:14:00] Work is Easy, Personal is Hard When working with businesses, always eventually get to their personal lives Those are the much more difficult conversations Work is easy, we all want to make more money and enjoy work Hardest ones are family businesses with so much emotion and unspoken hierarchy [00:16:00] Bill Solomon Changed Everything Gentleman who wrote forward to Greg's book, had heart transplant before writing it Bill told Greg "I'm so glad you asked me to write the forward because I couldn't stop writing" Two months later Bill had book of his own called "Losing Control" (in his seventies) Was the person who pointed Greg toward something more in his life [00:17:20] The Welding Job That Taught Resilience Bill gave Greg job before college as welder's helper (Bill was CFO of company) Told the guys "You're gonna like this guy I'm bringing in, but treat him like crap" "Tear him down every day. Make him feel stupid. You're gonna begin to like him. Make it hard on him." Never told Greg this was happening [00:18:20] Breaking the Golden Handcuffs Wouldn't have business today without Bill Solomon Getting through Baylor, getting great job, then getting out of job and breaking golden handcuffs Starting own business in 1999, none of that would've happened Bill took interest, made it difficult on purpose, said "you're gonna be a great leader one day" [00:21:40] Greg Reynolds Called Every Day After Greg's divorce, Greg Reynolds called him every day for three months All he said was "How you doing today? How you doing today?" One of hardest times Greg ever went through Showed Greg the power of that, he's done same thing for friend of his [00:22:20] Taking Interest in People If you really want to take interest in a person, find out what they're doing every day Every one of these gentlemen shaped how Greg mentors others Having conversations he never would've had, saying what he never would've said Taking interest like Bill Solomon did, being there like his coaches [00:24:40] "What Do You Want to Do?" Woman was looking at situation from the past when she didn't have skills Now she does have skills "Question isn't what they want or what I want to do. It's what do you want to do?" She got quiet: "I want to have the conversation." [00:25:00] Over 20 Resets to Stay on Track They practiced again, she went and had conversation Wrote amazing email about how each time she had to stop herself and come back Get conversation back on track by sharing your best intent Had to do that more than 20 times [00:28:20] Investing Upfront vs. Costing on Back End If you add skillset and knew how to address it, you'd say "I'm not wasting my weekend" Have conversation, no matter what outcome, it's out of you Have entire weekend to problem solve whatever that was and learn about what you did Used time wisely by investing upfront rather than it costing you on back end [00:31:40] Marcus Newcomb Connection Marcus Newcomb is special person, they hit it off Greg has gotten to meet so many great people networking and marketing his book Kevin is "the real deal" KEY QUOTES "Breakthroughs aren't permanent until they're practiced over and over. So if you want permanence around a breakthrough, you've gotta go do something." - Greg Stephens "If you really want to take interest in a person, find out what they're doing every day." - Greg Stephens "My life is built on the shoulders of all my friends and people in my life that have shown me so much." - Greg Stephens CONNECT WITH GREG STEPHENS

Is reality actually an "alien board game" where we are just "blinking lights in empty space"? In this episode, best-selling author and intuitive expert Colette Baron-Reid joins us to explain why the Universe is a simulation that is constantly talking to you—and why your brain is actively programmed to ignore it. Colette shares incredible stories of apparent "glitches in the matrix," including manifesting a New York Times feature while sitting in a hot tub with zero attachment, followed by an immediate confirmation at exactly 11:11. She breaks down the neuroscience of the Reticular Activating System (RAS)—the "bouncer" in your head that filters out almost all stimuli to keep you sane—and explains how to re-engineer this filter to see the opportunities you are currently blind to. We also dive deep into her raw personal journey from facing addiction and near-homelessness—saved only by a "lasagna miracle"—to almost 40 years of sobriety. She recounts the terrifying moment her father went into a psychic trance at a cocktail party and exposed everyone's affairs, and demonstrates how Oracle cards act as a mirror for the subconscious mind in a live reading.

We talk about the wild fact that DSIP can cross the blood–brain barrier, and why that makes nasal spray formulations surprisingly effective in real-world use. From there, we get into mechanisms: DSIP's ability to lower ACTH and cortisol, act as a “stress-limiting” factor, nudge growth hormone a bit, modulate pain pathways, and influence neurotransmitters like Substance P. I break down why I see it as a multi-system modulator that gently rebalances the body's own sleep circuitry instead of sedating you like Ambien. We cover the human data from the 1980s – the insomnia trials where DSIP normalized sleep architecture, the European study using DSIP in alcohol and opiate withdrawal with surprisingly high success rates, and a small pilot in chronic pain and tinnitus where most patients had meaningful relief. Then I share how I actually use it: my preferred subcutaneous dosing range of 100–500 mcg, why I think 2–3 hours before bed on an empty-ish stomach works best, and how I'm planning to use DSIP more aggressively for jet lag and circadian realignment when I travel. I also talk about my wife's experience (she loves DSIP) versus mine (I don't struggle with sleep, but I still see it as a staple tool). Finally, I touch on safety, the immunogenicity caveat, and why DSIP probably isn't a top-5 peptide—but is absolutely one I'll always keep in the house. If you want more conversations like this and direct Q&A access, make sure you're on my email list and check out The Axion Collective, my private community for peptide researchers and optimization nerds.

How to use integration over information to actually grow. The powerful concept of identity recalibration — becoming the version of yourself your future needs. This episode is about depression and how to "MANually reset" yourself so you don't need medication, counseling, or a suicide vest. I'm primarily speaking to the men today, but there is value for all. On the mechanical side, some trade tech talk today on firewood, sheds, gravel, and building with railroad ties and how this is in stark contrast to children today who don't even know left vs. right, how to tie their shoes, or how to read an analogue clock.Stinger Credit: @mattbradfordmusic

I find it rare for anyone to make a big deviation from their normal routine. We work hard to get ourselves to a place where we are managing our lives with stability. We get routines and schedules that feel comfortable, safe, and efficient. I'm growing to appreciate seasons of this lifestyle. And yet, I find a danger of getting into a rut that is hard to break out of, and our minds can get lazy. Breaking out in small, incremental steps may work for some people. But I'm a fan of some hard resets. As I record this intro for the podcast I'm nearing the end of a 72 hour fast. The reason, even though I greatly appreciate the mental clarity and acuity I experience, the reason was mainly to give my body a chance to fully recover and reset itself from the constant barrage of food. In a similar concept, my guest today invites you on a 12 hour walk. In 2018, Colin O'Brady became the first person in history to complete a solo, unsupported, fully human-powered crossing of Antarctica's landmass. Dragging a 375-pound sled for 54 days across 932 miles of ice. Colin holds 11 world records as a renowned explorer. As this podcast goes live on November 21, 2025, Colin is back in Antarctica on a quest called FURTHER that started on Nov. 5th. Further is a 1,780 mile, 110 day solo, unsupported, and fully human-powered crossing of Antarctica. From ocean to ocean, the route spans not only the continent itself but also nearly 1,000 miles of frozen sea — the ice shelves that flank Antarctica's edge. I sat down with Colin a few years ago after he had been homebound by COVID, and then up and told his wife he was going for a walk. And right then and from his home, he walked for 12 hours. What resulted was a reset of his mind. Of his motivation. Of his perspective on life. He impacted himself so much that he wrote a book about it, The 12-Hour Walk: Invest One Day, Conquer Your Mind, and Unlock Your Best Life. We talk about our inclination to go from kids, youth, and even young adults with big dreams and ideas, and relegate ourselves to the mundane. But I'm not out to promote you, just do it, go bigger, and do more. I'm not even that interested in talking about how we are all capable of more. I interest myself with how we can be different. Maybe better, but different. And maybe that different is actually…going smaller. Doing less. The idea is more about doing something to shake us out of our mold and get a reset. And from this, consider new possibilities for ourselves and our lives and our overall life experience. In this episode, I'm breaking down one of the most common patterns I see in female entrepreneurs, the weekly reset, the new plan, the fresh strategy, the “I'll start again on Monday” energy that feels productive but quietly keeps you looping in the same place.Subconscious Prompts: What feels unsafe about doing it today? What part of me doesn't feel ready yet? What identity am I still loyal to?What am I postponing that I could embody right now? What would the next level version of me do today, not Monday? If the future version of me was leading this week, what would she prioritise first? How does my future self hold herself on the days where capacity is low? What does my business look like when I'm consistently leading from the identity I'm becoming? If I fully trusted where I'm going, what would I stop negotiating with myself about? What does the “Monday reset” version of me do and what does the future version of me do instead? When I imagine the woman I'm becoming, what feels obvious to her that still feels difficult to me now? What would it feel like to move through today as if the identity shift has already happened? What becomes available to me when I start acting from the future self I keep postponing?Connect with Rebecca Haydon:Apply to work with meThe Subconscious MembershipCome say hi on Instagram | Facebook | YouTubeFind the full show notes & more resources at www.rebeccahaydon.com/podcast/

Send us a textThis past weekend, I helped a friend move—and what I noticed reminded me so much of what happens during Christmas. She had duplicates of almost everything because she hadn't taken inventory first. And don't we do the same during the holidays? We buy more, do more, and pile on more—only to feel exhausted by December 25th.In this episode, I'm sharing four simple holiday resets that will help you cut the chaos, protect what matters most, and actually enjoy Christmas this year.Mentioned in this episode:
Stressed out? A recent Gallup poll shows one in two Americans is stressed out every day. The poll found it's affecting how much and how well we sleep. And women are slightly more stressed than men. Dealing with that level of negative emotion is exhausting. But it doesn't have to be. You can lessen stress in just minutes with a few resets to your routine and lifestyle. On the Dying to Ask: 3 simple stress resets for when life gets overwhelming The science behind why they work And a blueprint on how to fit them into your day when you're turning into a stress ball
