We’re coming back! And you can be a part of it. These are some trying times we’re living through, and everyone has been affected, including our friends behind the bar. Since we’re a cocktails & comedy show, we decided we wanted to do something for bartenders, who are always there for us, in celebration, when we’re down, and everything in between. Now’s our chance to be there for them, so we’re raising money for the U.S. Bartenders Guild National Charity Foundation’s Covid-19 Fund, which gives grants to bartenders who could use a hand while their places are shut down. So, how can you help? Donate $25 or more right here: https://usbgfoundation.networkforgood.com/projects/95524-covid-19-relief-campaign The first 10 listeners to send a copy of their donation receipt to daydrinkingwithgaryandelliot@gmail.com will get to be on our comeback show, which we’ll be doing on Zoom THIS FRIDAY! (Don’t worry, if you’re number 11-20, we’ll do something to reward you, too.) Thanks in advance for helping out the bartending community - we appreciate it! And we’re looking forward to getting back into your ear holes.

Episode 13! Andrea Savage, the creator, writer, and star of I'M SORRY on TruTV, joins Gary & Elliot for a whiskey drink and gives us a behind-the-scenes look at her show, which Gary is on! (That's how we got her to be a guest.) This episode's drink by Elliot: Institutionally Researched A Manhattan-based cocktail that appears lighter on its feet than the traditional version, thanks to the Montenegro and Dolin Blanc vermouth. But it still packs a punch. 1 ¾ oz. Bulleit Rye Whiskey ¾ oz. Amaro Montenegro ½ oz. Dolin Blanc Vermouth 1 dash Bitter Truth Celery Bitters 1 dash Regan’s Orange Bitters Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with plenty of ice and stir until cold. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with an orange peel, first giving it a squeeze to express the fragrant orange oils over the top of the drink. Like the sound of that cocktail?
