Zo enters a world of magic, rot and decay. This world shouldn't be this way as this magical place was once green and briming with life. In time Zo finds out that a prophecy must be fulfilled in order for this world to be restored to its former glory. A rare being, a Gelfling who is guided by creatures known as the Mystics, is said to be the one to find the Crystal Shard that can be used to heal the world. On his way this Gelfling may find allies, but there are also numerous adversaries in the wilds. The wicked rulers of this world, known as the Skeksis, will stop at nothing to prevent the prophesy from coming to pass. They would do anything to prevent any surviving Gelfling from using the Crystal Shard to restore The Dark Crystal. Episode Segments00:04:08 - Opening Credits for The Dark Crystal starring Jim Henson, Frank Oz, & Kathryn Mullen00:18:17- Favorite Parts of the 1982 film: The Dark Crystal00:56:09 - Trivia from the movie The Dark Crystal01:03:25 - Critics' Thoughts on Jim Henson and Frank Oz's The Dark Crystal Please leave a comment, suggestion or question on our social media: Back Look Cinema: The Podcast Links:Website: www.backlookcinema.comEmail: fanmail@backlookcinema.comYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@backlookcinemaTwitter: https://twitter.com/backlookcinemaFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/BackLookCinemaInstagram: https://instagram.com/backlookcinemaThreads: https://www.threads.net/@backlookcinemaTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@backlookcinemaTwitch https://www.twitch.tv/backlookcinemaBlue Sky: https://bsky.app/profile/backlookcinema.bsky.socialMastodon: https://mstdn.party/@backlookcinemaBack Look Cinema Merch at Teespring.comBack Look Cinema Merch at Teepublic.com Again, thanks for listening.

Skeksi appear in the world of Thra and ravage the land while their peaceful counterparts, the Mystics, seek to bring about balance. They send Jen, a Gelfling whose people have been driven to extinction by the Skeksi, on a quest to fulfill the prophecy. Unfortunately for Jen, the supposedly all knowing Mystics are short on important information and send Jen to Aughra for a shard he doesn't know what to do with. Fortunately for Jen, he meets another Gelfling, Kira, who can speak to the animals and joins him on his journey. Together they discover the way to save their land by healing The Dark Crystal, this week on Doom Generation.

jQuery(document).ready(function(){ cab.clickify(); }); Original Podcast with clickable words https://tinyurl.com/y69hpc8b The Dark Crystal (sometimes referred to as Jim Hensons The Dark Crystal) is a 1982 puppet-animated high fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. The Dark Crystal (manchmal auch als Jim Hensons The Dark Crystal bezeichnet) ist ein von Puppen animierter High-Fantasy-Film aus dem Jahr 1982, der von Jim Henson und Frank Oz gedreht wurde. A millennium ago on the planet Thra, two new races appeared when a shard was shattered from the Crystal of Truth: the malevolent Skeksis whose continued corruption of the Crystal to extend their lives ravaged Thra, and the gentle urRu, more commonly known as the Mystics, who made their home in the Valley of Stones to await for their destiny. The leader of the urRu, the Master UrSu, raised a young Gelfling named Jen whose clan were slaughtered by the Skeksis. Der Anführer der urRu, der Meister UrSu, zog einen jungen Gelfling namens Jen auf, dessen Clan von den Skeksis geschlachtet wurde. As the Great Conjunction of Thras three suns draws near, a dying UrSu instructs Jen to fulfill a prophecy to heal the Crystal by first retrieving the Shard from Aughra. Als sich die große Verbindung der drei Sonnen von Thra nähert, weist ein sterbender UrSu Jen an, eine Prophezeiung zu erfüllen, um den Kristall zu heilen, indem er zuerst die Scherbe aus Aughra holt. As UrSu passes, the Skeksis Emperor also dies, with the Chamberlain skekSil exiled after losing a duel of succession against the General SkekUng. Während UrSu vorbeikommt, stirbt auch der Kaiser der Skeksis. Der Chamberlain skekSil wurde ins Exil geschickt, nachdem er ein Duell der Nachfolge gegen den General SkekUng verloren hatte. When the Skeksis learn of Jens existence, they send their army of giant crab-like Garthim to capture him, with skekSil following. Als die Skeksis von Jens Existenz erfahren, schicken sie ihre Armee von riesigen krabbenartigen Garthim, um ihn zu fangen, gefolgt von skekSil. Jen meets Aughra and enters her orrery, which she uses to predict the motions of the heavens as she explains about the Conjunction before having Jen select the Shard from a box full of shards. Jen trifft Aughra und betritt ihr Orrery, mit dem sie die Bewegungen des Himmels vorhersagt, während sie die Konjunktion erklärt, bevor Jen die Scherbe aus einer Schachtel voller Scherben auswählt. Aughra was about to explain Jens mission before the Garthim arrive and destroy the orrery, taking Aughra prisoner as Jen flees. Aughra wollte gerade Jens Mission erklären, bevor die Garthim eintrafen und das Orrery zerstörten. Aughra wurde gefangen genommen, als Jen floh. Hearing the call of the Crystal, the urRu leave their valley to travel to the Skeksis Castle. Als die UrRu den Ruf des Kristalls hören, verlassen sie ihr Tal, um zur Burg der Skeksis zu reisen. On his journey through the swamp, Jen meets Kira, another surviving Gelfling who can communicate with animals. Auf seiner Reise durch den Sumpf trifft Jen Kira, einen weiteren überlebenden Gelfling, der mit Tieren kommunizieren kann. The two learn more about each other when they accidentally "dreamfast", seeing into each others memories. Die beiden lernen mehr voneinander, wenn sie versehentlich "träumerisch" sind und in die Erinnerungen des anderen sehen. Scannán ard fantaisíochta beoite puipéad 1982 é The Dark Crystal (dá ngairtear The Dark Crystal le Jim Henson uaireanta) faoi stiúir Jim Henson agus Frank Oz. Mílaoise ó shin ar an bpláinéad Thra, bhí dhá rás nua le feiceáil nuair a briseadh shard as Crystal of Truth: an Skeksis maorga a ndearna éilliú leanúnach an Crystal chun a saol a shíneadh Thra, agus an urRu mhín, ar a dtugtar na Mystics níos minice. , a rinne a dteach i nGleann na gCloch chun fanacht lena gcinniúint. The leader of the urRu, the Master UrSu, raised a young Gelfling named Jen whose clan were slaughtered by the Skeksis. D'ardaigh ceannaire an urRu, an Máistir UrSu, Gelfling óg darb ainm Jen ar mharaigh na Skeksis a clan. As the Great Conjunction of Thras three suns draws near, a dying UrSu instructs Jen to fulfill a prophecy to heal the Crystal by first retrieving the Shard from Aughra. De réir mar a bhíonn Comhréiteach Mór trí ghrian Thra ag druidim le chéile, tugann UrSu atá ag fáil bháis treoir do Jen tuar a chomhlíonadh chun an Crystal a leigheas tríd an Shard a aisghabháil ó Aughra ar dtús. As UrSu passes, the Skeksis Emperor also dies, with the Chamberlain skekSil exiled after losing a duel of succession against the General SkekUng. De réir mar a théann UrSu ar aghaidh, faigheann Impire na Skeksis bás freisin, agus an skekSil Chamberlain ar deoraíocht tar éis dó duel comharbais a chailleadh i gcoinne an Ghinearáil SkekUng. When the Skeksis learn of Jens existence, they send their army of giant crab-like Garthim to capture him, with skekSil following. Nuair a fhoghlaimíonn na Skeksis faoi Jen a bheith ann, seolann siad a n-arm de Garthim portán ollmhór chun é a ghabháil, le skekSil ina dhiaidh. Jen meets Aughra and enters her orrery, which she uses to predict the motions of the heavens as she explains about the Conjunction before having Jen select the Shard from a box full of shards. Buaileann Jen le Aughra agus téann sí isteach ina ornáid, a úsáideann sí chun gluaiseachtaí na bhflaitheas a thuar mar a mhíníonn sí faoin gComhréiteach sula roghnaíonn Jen an Shard as bosca lán le shards. Aughra was about to explain Jens mission before the Garthim arrive and destroy the orrery, taking Aughra prisoner as Jen flees. Bhí Aughra ar tí misean Jen a mhíniú sula dtagann an Garthim agus go scriosfadh sé an orrery, ag glacadh príosúnach Aughra agus Jen ag teitheadh. Hearing the call of the Crystal, the urRu leave their valley to travel to the Skeksis Castle. Ag éisteacht le glao na Crystal, fágann an urRu a ngleann chun taisteal go Caisleán na Skeksis. On his journey through the swamp, Jen meets Kira, another surviving Gelfling who can communicate with animals. Ar a thuras tríd an bportach, casann Jen le Kira, Gelfling eile a mhaireann agus atá in ann cumarsáid a dhéanamh le hainmhithe. The two learn more about each other when they accidentally "dreamfast", seeing into each others memories. Foghlaimíonn an bheirt níos mó faoina chéile nuair a dhéanann siad “brionglóid” de thaisme, agus iad ag breathnú isteach ar chuimhní a chéile. They stay for a night with the Podlings who raised Kira, only for them and Kiras pet Fizzgig to flee when the Garthim raid the village, with skekSil keeping the Garthim from pursuing then. Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews originally contacted the Jim Henson company to pitch a sequel idea for 'Labyrinth,' and while that idea wasn’t in the cards even for a pitch meeting, they were invited to come up with an idea for a 'Dark Crystal' prequel series. The official description for the 10-episode Netflix show reads, “Returns to the world of Thra, where three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis' power, and set out to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.” To create this world, the screenwriters spent a great deal of time on the opening sequence, making sure audiences new and old would understand the 30 years of history prior to the 10-episode story, but also the layered world and class system. In this interview, the writers discuss telling big stories in an economical fashion, writing for fans new and old, how they figured out how to run a Writer’s Room, what it means to write for budget, and how to “count mouth flaps.” If you enjoyed this interview, look for the print version on Creative Screenwriting’s website, and join millions of viewers for the new YouTube video essay series, Creative Principles, which dissects new films, series, and more: bit.ly/2FARJz5

This episode's drink by Elliot: The Summer Crystal 2 oz. Four Roses Bourbon .5 oz. Cointreau .5 oz. fresh lemon juice 1 oz. blackberry/peach/mint shrub 1 dash Fee Bros. Aromatic Bitters sparkling water Combine all but sparkling water in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and top with sparkling water, giving a gentle stir to incorporate. (To make the blackberry/peach/mint shrub, place a 1.5 cups of blackberries, 1 chopped peach, and about 1/4 cup of mint leaves in a bowl and muddle to release the juices, then pour over a cup of granulated sugar. Mix together with a spoon, and then let sit, covered, for about an hour to macerate the fruit, which will also dissolve most of the sugars. Once that's done, pour into to a mason jar and add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. Shake to combine and let sit in the refrigerator overnight or longer, shaking occasionally. Once it's to your liking, pour through a mesh strainer to catch the blackberry seeds into a clean vessel and store in the fridge.) Like the sound of that cocktail? Return to the land of Thra with Netflix Original series, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.  For newcomers to the world of Jim Henson's puppetry, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is a prequel to the cult classic movie, The Dark Crystal. For many, The Dark Crystal is a movie that traumatized and then shaped your horror movie baseline. Brace, because Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance fully realizes the promise of the original with epic storytelling and its focus on the macabre and magical. Age of Resistance begins its story fifty years before the events in The Dark Crystal. The Skeksis are Lords of the Crystal and reign supreme over all the beings of Thra. The Lords of the Crystal have a special relationship with the seven Gelfling clans. This is an atmospheric dark fantasy populated by strange, captivating if frequently disturbing creatures brought to life with masterful puppetry. The CG and physical sets coupled with the attention to detail, and judicious hat-tips to the original look and feel, once again demonstrate the technical brilliance that is the true legacy of Jim Henson.  It isn't necessary to have seen the original film to fall into the immersive world of Thra or invest in the epic journey of Age of Resistance. But, if you are an OG Dark Crystal fan, then this series definitely sets the stage to not only fill in the blanks in the storyline but expand your vision of the world of Thra as a whole.  Age of Resistance is Not Here to Protect Delicate Sensibilities Think long and hard before sharing it with children under the age of ten (seven if they're precocious). This is a quest that follows three Gelfling and those that rally to their cause. There's murder (LOTS of murder), betrayal, death-defying treks across the planet, unlikely friendships and character-defining choices to be made. The Gelfling live likes of (mostly) unknowing subjugation to the Skeksis. Unbeknownst to them, and the original protector of the Crystal of Truth Augraha, the Skeksis have perverted the power of the crystal in pursuit of immortality. Once discovered, it becomes a race against time to call the Gelfling clans to arms in order to rebel against the coming darkness. This is a grown-up premise brought to epic life with skillful storytelling that unfolds across ten (Ro's still convinced it only needed eight) episodes. There are a few pacing hiccups and story glitches along the way that keep this from being a perfect bardic tale but overall Age of Resistance puts on a show (pun intended) very worth the watch for new fans and old.  Ro and Brandon sat down for a spoiler-free chat about Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and its amazing voice cast. So things have been crazy.  Dan and Crystal had a house full of people for the graduation party, and as always, there was too much food.  So it's leftovers for the next week!  What is your favorite thing to do with leftovers?  Do you just eat them as is?  Or do you get creative and make new things out of leftover foods?3:50Time for the weekly puppy update!  I am sure this will be happening for the next few weeks, but you don't mind do you?  It's better then the Game of Thrones Minute right?  I am working on crate training Kira, and potty training Kira.  Those are the two big things we are working on.  And trying to get her to stop putting everything into her mouth. So Dan and I have a good chat about all the updates with Kira for this week. 12:03Petcon is coming!  Jamie and I and all 3 dogs are going to drive across country with all 3 dogs to attended Petcon in Los Angeles, California.  http://www.petcon.co if you are in the area and want to me us and the dogs, or Dan and Crystal, as they are coming to hang out as well.  14:25Oh Vidcon.  We have such a love/hate relationship with Vidcon.  This will be our last Vidcon, unless something amazing changes.  So if you want to meet us at Vidcon, get your tickets and lets do it! Dan and I discuss what the plans will be for next year since we aren't going to do Vidcon again.  We discuss the people we want to see this year, and who we hope to get a chance to talk to this year. 21:27TanaCon is coming to Vidcon.  Tana who through TanaCon last year and made a bunch of videos hating on Vidcon, and the creators of it, and the staff, is actually a featured guest at Vidcon this year.  Dan and I give our thoughts and opinions on this.  I can tell you this, we both think it's just a ploy to try to get more people to the event.  27:39The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance is coming!  The trailer for The Dark Crystal Series on Netflix came out.  Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSV42j8lccg .  And for those of you that may not know, The Dark Crystal is my favorite movie of all time.  Yes, Kira is named after Kira the Gelfling from The Dark Crystal.  So I am SUPER excited about The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance.  Do you think we should do a live reaction stream on the CCMouse Podcast YouTube channel where Dan and I watch the original Dark Crystal together along with you?  I think it would be amazing!  Podcast Notes brought to you by JessFacebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ccmousepodcast/Instagram: https://instagram.com/ccmousepodcastYouTube: http://www.youtube.com/ccmousepodcast Send us a Voice Message!https://www.speakpipe.com/CCMousePodcast Show Hosts Info:RFSDanInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/RFSDanYouTube: http://www.youtube.com/RFSDan Jess from Snow Dogs VlogsInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/SnowDogsVlogsYouTube: http://www.youtube.com/SnowDogsVlogs

Confession:  I am a secret puppet person (I just didn’t know it) I certainly didn’t think of myself as a puppet person before I visited the Worlds of Puppetry Museum in Atlanta, Georgia.  But after visiting and talking to Jill Malool, Director of the museum, I realized I’ve been a closet puppet person for years.  Roaming through their amazing collection, I kept seeing puppets that reminded me of various times in my life.  Of course, there’s the classic Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street (sorry, Big Bird, Oscar is still my favorite).  And we all know Kermit and the fabulous Miss Piggy from The Muppets.  I then remembered that my sister Vicki and I had Ernie and Cookie Monster hand puppets when we were little that I had totally forgotten about until I was walking through the Jim Henson Collection (strangely, I don’t remember having a Bert).  I turned the corner and saw Gumby and The Corpse Bride characters showcasing stop motion puppetry.  I remember watching Gumby on Sunday mornings before church.  There are puppets from the Mystery Science Theater 3000 (that show still cracks me up!).  Then I wandered over into the Global Collection and saw marionettes, which reminded me of all the puppet shows I’ve seen growing up.  At the time I visited was also the opening of the Dark Crystal exhibit.  I hadn’t thought about that movie in years, but seeing the Mystics, Skeksis, Garthim and Jen reminded me of what a fantastic movie that was and how it was all created with puppetry.   I also saw puppets I had never seen before:  shadow puppets from India, puppets that “walk on water” from Vietnam, and almost life-size puppets from Japan.  And in a variety of materials:  wood, fiberglass, leather, paper, felt.  And I think they have puppets from every country and region in the world:  Italy, Central Europe, Indonesia, Myanmar, Turkey, China, Taiwan, Egypt, Korea, Japan and Mali.  Puppetry can be traced back hundreds, and even thousands of years in some regions.  It didn’t hit me until I stood in the middle of the Global Collection and saw all the creativity around me that The Worlds of Puppetry Museum showcases how cultures around the world and throughout time have expressed themselves through puppetry to tell their stories and share their history.  So let’s get started in traveling through their amazing collection! Museum Highlights: The Worlds of Puppetry Museum – the original museum started out in an old elementary school building, but then has been added on since then.  On the behind-the-scenes tour you get to visit the old classrooms upstairs where they offer puppetry making classes for kids.  Jim Henson Collection: Muppet Workshop – when you enter the Jim Henson collection there are a series of workstations with corkboards on the wall covering a specific aspect of how to make a puppet.  Pinned to the board are hand sketches showing how a particular puppet moves, photographs of Jim Henson, little pieces of fur and felt, and some of the most interesting notes about how to make a puppet come to life.  Big Bird – since his debut in 1969, Big Bird has remained as curious as an inquisitive six-year-old.  So how do you animate a giant puppet like Big Bird?  Listen to how the puppeteer works his mouth, and both wings, while at the same time being able to see where he’s going inside this giant puppet.  Jill, the Director of the museum, shares a wonder story between two generations and how they connect through this yellow bird.  Oscar the Grouch - my favorite Sesame Street character.   The same puppeteer, Caroll Spinney, made both Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch come alive.  We all know the green Oscar of today, but you can see the original drawings for Oscar that pink was his original color.  Another fun fact about Oscar’s color from the behind-the-scenes tour?  In the first season on Sesame Street Oscar was actually orange, but the orange color didn’t show up very well on television so he became green.  How did they explain on the show how Oscar suddenly changed colors?  Well, he visited a swamp and liked it so much he never showered again.  Kermit the Frog – Kermit came from humble beginnings as a “found object” puppet because he started from Jim Henson’s Mom’s old coat and a couple of ping pong balls, but has developed over time into the iconic Kermit we know today.  Miss Piggy – fabulous in feathers, satin and diamonds, Miss Piggy was the ultimate diva with a mean “harrumph” karate chop.  Don’t mess with Miss Piggy.  I always liked that about her.  The museum also had a picture of Miss Piggy from the Pigs in Space skit.  Who else remembers that?  I absolutely loved that skit because my family were also sci-fi fans.  Global Collection: Shadow Puppets from India – I think these were my favorite puppets in the museum.  The texture and details on each puppet is amazing.  With the light shining behind the puppets, you could see the tiny pinholes punched in each one that really brings out fine details and highlight specific areas on each puppet.  “Puppets that Dance on Water” – during rice harvest celebrations in Vietnam, puppets started perform in ponds over a thousand years ago.  Hidden by a screen, the performers would stand waist-deep in the water and control the floating wooden puppets with submerged rods, cords and chains. The model the museum has would be a reflection of contemporary times where there are also indoor performances with specially built pools and pagodas.  Horse Marionette – this wooden horse marionette from Burma shows just how large and heavy these puppets can be.  It’s a little hard to tell the scale from this image, but it’s probably 4’ tall to the top of the head and probably that long from tip to tail.  Imagine reaching your arms straight out and holding something this large and heavy for hours?    Puppets from Around the World – we didn’t have time to talk about every puppet in the Global Collection, but I wanted to share a few of them to show the variety of this art form found around the world.  Dark Crystal Exhibit: Jen – one of the two main characters from the 1982 Dark Crystal movie.  Jen, a Gelfling, is tasked with healing the magical crystal by replacing the broken shards back into the original crystal that was split.  Of course, it’s not that easy as he’s constantly under attack from the Skeksis who rose to power after the crystal originally cracked.  Skeksis – the “bad guys” that are trying to stop Jen and Kira from healing the crystal.  Tall and vulture-like in their appearance, the amount of details in their costumes are amazing.  At the end of the exhibit, the museum shows the mechanics underneath the heads of the Skeksis puppets.  I love cutaway-type exhibits where you can see how something works.  Seeing the finished puppet first, and then how it works underneath, added an entirely new level of appreciation for the skill in creating these puppets.   Mystics – the “kind” wizards that help Jen and Kira and want the crystal united.  Look closely at the detailed swirls on the mystics face – sometimes it looks like wrinkles and sometimes it looks like tattoos.  Over and over I saw this level of detail on puppets – even if no one was ever going to get that close to see it because of the artistry and care each creator had for the puppets.    Garthim – I came around a pole and, boom, this giant Garthim is right there.  With a hard exoskeleton similar in design to a crustacean, and crab-like legs that scurried about, these are the soldiers for the Skeksis.  As a body puppet, the puppeteer is inside and has to be both strong and flexible to maneuver these large puppets around the set.  Landstriders – I had completely forgotten about these characters until I saw this picture in the museum.  Jill shared a great story about how they developed the Landstriders gait and movement.  Sometimes opportunity knocks, but someone has to recognize it and open the door.     The Worlds of Puppetry Museum showcases how cultures around the world and throughout time have expressed themselves through puppetry to tell their stories and share their history.  I had no idea that there were so many different types of puppets, the variety of materials used, or the mechanics and skill involved in making and operating a puppet.  As part of the Center for Puppetry Arts, the Worlds of Puppetry Museum and the larger organization is dedicated to all things puppetry.  From displaying puppetry, performing puppetry and preserving puppetry, the Center for Puppetry Arts and the Worlds of Puppetry Museum work together to reinforce their vision that puppetry is an art form that can unite people all around the world.  You may not think you’re a puppet person, but after you visit this museum you just might change your mind.  I know I did.  Oh, as a side note, when you make the trip to visit the Worlds of Puppetry Museum, I highly recommend the behind-the-scenes tour that includes visits to both the puppet workshop and scene shop.  Absolutely fantastic! If you love to document your travels to off-the-beaten-path places, then show me where you're heading or where you've been by sharing your stories with me at Made in Museums on Facebook,  Twitter, and Instagram.  If you want to let me know about a curious museum that you’ve visited, and that I should cover on this show, contact me through social media or send me an email.   Resources: Worlds of Puppetry Museum Nashville Public Library – if you live in the Nashville area, or even just visiting, then check out their puppet shows, the local traveling Puppet Truck, or their marionette collection. Then strife began and two new races appeared, the cruel Skeksis and the gentle Mystics. Now, once more, the world must undergo a time of testing. Now the Crystal must be healed, or pass forever into the rule of evil. What was sundered and undone shall be whole - the two made one. Wedding Bells, this film smells, Ashton laid an egg!  Ring in the new Millenium for the Thirteenth time by watching JUST MARRIED starring Ashton Kutcher, Brittany Murphy, and the French Alps!  Ashton is a radio traffic announcer and Brittany is just a rich girl who’s gone too far, (but you know it don’t matter anyway), by marrying Kutcher and taking him on the Honeymoon from Hell. These two may be young and blessed with perfect skin (Ashton looks like a Gelfling from Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal), but the gods of matrimony have cursed them eternal postnuptial kerfuffles. Ashton accidentally kills Murphy’s prized puppy and lies about it while Brittany accidentally sleeps with her ex-boyfriend.  Luckily, he’s stalking them as they traverse the French Alps into Venice.  But don’t worry, this movie made a lot of money. It made so much money.   Dave talks about his New Year’s Eve exposure to secondhand fried food and Noah reveals the most efficient way to become fluent in Old English.  Move over Rosetta Stone!
