Hormones are produced by glands such as the thyroid, adrenal glands, pituitary gland, ovaries, testes, and pancreas.   Hormones differ between men and women.The amount of each hormone in our bodies fluctuates throughout a lifetime—and can change depending on our age, weight, diet and exercise habits, medical conditions, medications we take (including birth control pills), family history of disease...the list goes on!   There are several different types of hormones in both men and women: estrogen, testosterone, progesterone and cortisol, among others.
