Nel pomeriggio di lunedì 7 novembre, ai microfoni del PN1 con Miky Boselli e Andrea Ferrari, è stato ospite il grande Marino Bartoletti, scrittore, giornalista, conduttore e autore radiotelevisivo, critico musicale, per presentare il suo nuovo romanzo La discesa degli Dei. Questo romanzo fa parte di una trilogia narrativa, «La cena degli Dei è il primogenito, nato due anni fa da un'idea che mi portavo dietro sin da bambino, ovvero dove vanno a finire i nostri campioni, gli Dei dello sport e dello spettacolo, quando non ci sono più? - spiega Marino Bartoletti -. Allora ho provato a dare una risposta intavolando attorno a un desco, nel luogo per iniziativa del grande vecchio Enzo Ferrari, questi primi 10 personaggi dello spettacolo che sono appartenuti alla sua vita. Poi nel secondo, Il ritorno degli Dei, sono saliti anche i personaggi dello sport. E il terzo è un po' la sintesi di questi due, dove tutti gli Dei coinvolti scendono sulla Terra per realizzare delle missioni, dei sogni dei ragazzi che invocano il loro aiuto».

Alive between 1869 and 1938, Mary Mallon, was an asymptomatic carrier of typhoid fever and it is believed she may have infected as many as 50 people with the disease, three of whom died. Her story of accusation, isolation and forced quarantine is as equally harrowing as it is entertaining. It has total relevance to today, not least because of the lack of civil liberties afforded to those during a pandemic.
