This wee Andrew and Ted take a break from their Christmas movie block to bring you what they're calling "Breaking News" with their review of "Please Don't Destroy - The Treasure of Foggy Mountain". This Peacock TV original movie stars SNL writer alum Martin Herlihy, Ben Marshall, and John Higgins. Having said that if you're assuming that this a comedy then you would be absolutely correct and if you defined it as a sophomoric comedy move the front of the line. Now because it is defined as such don't hastily dismiss it ... that is until you've had a chance to listen to Andrew and Ted.

Professional poker player Jimmy Harmon has been dogged by a string of misfortunes and mysteries. Trying to stay ahead of Las Vegas gangster Wiktoria Sałkiewicz has seemingly led to the death of his friend Will Archer, in a car bomb apparently meant for him. Harmon finds himself interrogated by Las Vegas police detective Ben Marshall, but is reluctant to pin the blame on the mobster. Further inquiry implies that Sałkiewicz herself may be the target of unknown forces intent on buying out the Limelight Hotel that she makes her home base. But before Wiktoria can reveal the full scope of her suspicions on the true culprit behind the attempt on Harmon's life, they find themselves under attack. Narrowly escaping the assailants, Harmon heads out of town, but ends up pursuing another trail with fellow gambler Rachael Leblanc — commonly known as “Peeps.” Tracking the body's demise back to the Lyon Majestic Hotel, Harmon and Peeps uncover a cadre of federal agents keeping a secret witness, Peter Sokolov, under wraps, along with information about significant action to be taken the following day. One step ahead of the agents, Harmon makes his way to the Remington Hotel, where his friend “Big Mike” Dalton, mainstay of the Vegas poker scene and front man for the online poker website All-In Poker, has offered to help. But an inopportune slip cues Harmon into a new, as-yet-unanticipated threat. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Enjoy this DIAH Classic today, featuring a brand new bonus segment at the beginning of the episode - a short interview with listener Malina and her mother Char. What inspired your journey to birth empowerment? For today's guests, Jazmin and Ben, their journey began in 2017 in Seattle following an ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage. It prompted them to do research and plan for future pregnancies in a different way. According to Jazmin, “It was my first experience realizing I had to advocate for myself with medical professionals, especially considering I'm a black woman, as many brushed off my concerns and pain as "normal."” Fast forward to Atlanta in 2018 when they welcomed their first daughter, Elyana. It was a 45-hour vaginal birth in a hospital. Jazmin says, “That experience inspired me to dive much deeper and do additional prep for my second birth (chiropractic care, Spinning Babies, pelvic floor PT, a hypnobirthing class, and the DIAH podcast, to name a few).” Then in 2020, Jazmin and Ben had a home birth with their second daughter Sareya. “ I experienced the fetal ejection reflex, had a retained placenta, and absolutely no tearing. Both of my births were empowering in completely different ways,” Jazmin says. Jazmin switched care providers with both births, something we go into further in the interview. Also, COVID-19 influenced some of the plans and decisions with their second birth. And we mentioned Atlanta, so Jazmin and Ben live close by! We're very much looking forward to hanging out in person in future DIAH events and gatherings. Professional poker player Jimmy Harmon's time in Las Vegas has been anything but routine. A bomb set by a henchman named Watson — ostensibly in the employ of Las Vegas gangster Wiktoria Sałkiewicz — has apparently led to the death of Harmon's friend Will Archer. Harmon meets with Las Vegas detective Ben Marshall, but neither come away with any real answers. Soon after, Sałkiewicz herself places doubt on the idea that she instigated the bombing, and hints that a consortium of hotel buyers may truly be behind it. But before Wiktoria can elaborate, they find themselves under attack by mysterious gunmen, identified only by their driving a black Hummer. After evading the attackers, Harmon and fellow gambler Rachael “Peeps” Leblanc head out of town, only to follow another clue leading to the body of a dead prostitute half-buried in the desert. Tracking the unfortunate woman's path back to the Lyon Majestic Hotel, Harmon and Peeps discover a secret witness, Peter Sokolov, being guarded by what are apparently federal agents, as well as a cache of documents hinting at a major operation. Harmon makes his way to the Remington Hotel, only to discover his role model “Big Mike” Dalton, part owner of online gaming site All-In Poker, has been deeply involved in the past week's activities — though the veteran player was unprepared for the latest turn. Aided by the Hummer-driving gunmen who earlier attacked Wiktoria, Big Mike hustles Harmon out to the Remington Hotel parking garage, only to run up against both the ominous federal agents and the Las Vegas Police — led by detective Marshall.Rated AD-PG, so parental guidance is suggestedContains uses of JC's name in vain, “son of a Bitch,” gunplay, horrendously unsafe driving, and some deep, deep conspiracies.Click here for full show notes.

Millwall is published, we stand just four points away from the prized sixth spot in the Championship league table - and the Valhalla of a shot at Premier League football. All this on one of the lowest budgets, but best team spirits seen at The Den since the third division Championship winning side of 2000-01. Of course we need to maintain the incredible form that has seen us rocket up the league standings, but this will remain one of the most remarkable and dare I say, enjoyable, campaigns to live in the memories of us all for years to come, whatever the final outcome of the 2017-18 season.Yesterday's 2-0 was played in a variety of conditions ranging from blinding sunshine, high winds and blizzards of snow. The win was achieved by sheer hard work, mutual effort and esprit d'corps. It is one of the most ‘Millwall' away wins in many years in my humble opinion.I hope you enjoy this week's edition, apologies for the poor sound quality on occasion, the wind whipped around the away end faster than the Barnsley fans streamed for the exits when Ben Marshall scored one of the goals of the season in the second half for 2-0 and game effectively over.Don't forget to tune in on Friday night at 9pm to Love Sport radio www.lovesportradio.com and listen back to previous shows by selecting the ‘on demand' button. And finally one last shout for the IMMENSE efforts of Lions fan Tony Munday who is running for young Isla Caton - over £18,000 now generated by Tony. The old wartime RAF slang saying ‘gone for a Burton' came to mind at times yesterday. By Neil Harris's own admission, the hard-fought 1-0 win at the glamorously named but humbly fitted Pirelli Stadium, was some way from the Lions' best. A long way in fact - but the mark of a strong side is winning ugly and we certainly did that yesterday.By contrast, relegation haunted Burton Albion will feel these were three vital points lost, as they had the better of the closing stages of the first half and missed a series of plum chances to take the lead.As it was, new winger Ben Marshall connected some part of his body - possibly his head - on to Jed Wallace's 61st minute cross to hand Millwall a critical goal and ultimately our fourth win in succession. Dare we start to dream of a play-off finish? Bristol City in sixth place are now just seven points away ... like the Greek legend of Tantalus, it's close but so far away.Of course the wheels of the Zampa Road bandwagon can come off quicker than the old Wacky Races' Arkansas Chuggabug, but we are hitting form at just the right time. “Dream baby dream” is what at Achtung! Millwall GHQ say ... This week's show includes the usual stream of consciousness from the Pirelli by yours truly; and some post-match Sunday Morning Nightmare reviewing of the online comment that caught my eye.Keep your eyes out for some big news on the old Twitter that I hope to make this week about the show. Can't say much more till all confirmed as, if it doesn't come off, I shall look like a prize prune. Mind you as a bloke who mumbles into his iPhone during the course of the match, since when did looking a lemon stop me?Link to the Isla Caton appeal - all contributions massively appreciated:https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/achtungmillwallforislaArriverderci MillwallNickCBLthemag@hotmail.co.uk@CBL_Magazine Hosted on Acast.
