Mario Z, a renowned DJ and music producer with a knack for blending Latin rhythms, electronic beats, and the spirit of summer, took center stage at El Higueron Resort to curate an event that would be etched in the memories of all who attended. This poolside extravaganza was more than just a music event; it was a vibrant celebration of life, love, and the thrill of summer 2023. Pool Latin Session was Mixed live at The El Higueron Resort, nestled on the beautiful Costa del Sol in Spain, provided the perfect backdrop for this extraordinary gathering. The luxurious setting of the resort's pool area, with its sparkling blue waters and panoramic views of the Mediterranean, transported attendees to a tropical paradise. It was the kind of setting where time seemed to slow down, and worries faded away.

Best of Summer Replay Series! Mr. Goodman is Vice Chairman of Customer Care Measurement and Consulting (CCMC). The universal adages, “It costs five times as much to win a new customer as to keep an existing one.” and “Twice as many people hear about a bad experience as a good one.” are both based on his research. He assisted in the analysis of the latest National Customer Rage Study, on American consumers' complaining behavior, service expectations and word of mouth. Harper Collins published the second edition of his book, “Strategic Customer Service”, in March, 2019. He has also published, “Customer Experience 3.0”, with the American Management Association in July, 2014. Over the past 40 years, Mr. Goodman has managed more than 1,000 separate customer experience studies for 45 of the Fortune 100 as well as dozens of non-profit and government entities.

If there is an OG meme in which a human is the star, Scumbag Steve is it. He spread across the internet like wildfire in 2011 as a universal representation of dudes who are the worst. And, like any person grappling with immediate internet fame, Blake Boston — the man behind Scumbag Steve — tried to capitalize: merch, rap songs, public appearances. But the full story of what happened to Blake — and his family — has never been told. The Scumbag Steve meme became a bargaining chip in a custody battle, a complicating factor in meeting his birth mother, the cause of fights with extended family members, a source of anxiety attacks, and an echo of trauma. In this episode, we go past the origin story of Scumbag Steve and learn about Blake's real struggles with PTSD and abuse — and how trauma has brought him and his mother, Susan Boston, even closer.
In times like these, you've got to take joy wherever and however you can get it. Amory and Ben swap unexpected sources of joy they've bumped into recently — from a goblin-themed Reddit post, to the scariest toe talons on the internet, to a funky 1980's little-known bop about going to the beach on Massachusetts' North Shore.
Imagine if an explosion in California was so loud that it could be heard in New York City. This is the story of a real event that was just as loud — the loudest sound ever recorded in human history. This sound ripped across oceans in 1883, reaching people 3,000 miles away. Infrasonic pressure waves circled the globe four times. News of its destruction traveled through the early internet, the telegraph system, and altered the course of scientific history. In this episode of Endless Thread, we recreate this magnum opus — a hotly debated darling of Reddit — with the help of scholars and infrasonic scientists.
The first documented bar joke was copied onto a clay tablet 4,000 years ago in the ancient language of Sumerian. Scholars have translated it, but the meaning remains lost. After the Twitter account @DepthsOfWiki posted the joke in March, thousands of people attempted to decipher it to no avail. Yet, as cryptic as the bar joke may be, it offers clues into humor's role in human civilizations and raises questions about when humor — and its sibling laughter — first emerged. In this episode, the second of two parts, Endless Thread continues its journey attempting to deconstruct the beginnings of humor and explain an unexplainable joke from the forgotten tablets of the past.

What makes the world's first documented bar joke funny? No one knows. In a tweet that garnered thousands of responses in March, the Twitter account @DepthsOfWiki posted about a 4,000-year-old proverb written on a clay tablet. The line, which experts believe is a joke from the ancient civilization of Sumer, starts with the set-up, “A dog walks into a tavern.” But the punchline has left scholars and online commenters scratching their heads. The joke's meaning has been lost, and finding it could reveal something unique about early human civilization. In this episode, the first of two parts, Endless Thread journeys back in time, attempting to deconstruct the origins of humor and explain an unexplainable joke from the forgotten tablets of the past.
In this summer-y episode of Endless Thread, Ben and Amory take a leap of faith (or do they?) to the depths of an upstate New York swimming hole with a legend surrounding it that's almost as shadowy as exact it's location.
Our life is surrounded by technology. Electronics are a part of everyone's life but it is important that you understand the negative effects too much screen time can be causing for our children with autism. Some studies suggest that increased screen time in young children is associated with decreased cognitive ability, impaired language development, mood, and autistic-like behavior including hyperactivity, short attention span, and irritability. You have to establish clear rules, boundaries, and schedules for electronic use. Until you RIP OFF THAT BAND-AID of their dependency on electronics they don't have the need to have any other interest. Listen with an open mind. "BEST OF" SUMMER PODCAST SERIES featuring our most downloaded episodes of all time. We know that in autism our children's repetitive and fixated behaviors are generally the strategies they use to reduce the chaos and minimalize their overload by seeking the predictability and routine of sameness. These are their attempts to decrease their overwhelm from the stimulation and provide some sort of order to the confusing overwhelming world they are in. Our children struggle with being flexible because of their need for sameness and being in control and when things have to change or you have to drive a different way home because of a traffic accident their ability to be flexible is nowhere to be found, right? Our world honestly is way too uncertain and unpredictable for our kids on the spectrum. What applies in one situation doesn't necessarily apply to the next and that results in increased anxiety and sometimes anger when things don't go the way they anticipated. Our goal is never to overwhelm them but we want them to mentally engage and tackle their uncertainty and reduce that rigid thinking. We want them to be able to evaluate options when there is a roadblock or something doesn't go as planned. Everyone makes mistakes until they practice and get better. You have to learn what doesn't work to ultimately learn what does work, right? That is what we want to teach them. If you want to learn strategies and tools that you can use to improve your life along this autism parenting journey, becoming Not Your Average Autism Mom is your answer. There are a lot of resources about sex now, some great and some terrible. But often, resources have some important truths, some debatable points, and some myths. Today we want to talk about what really matters—the foundational points we want wives to know about sex. From the Bible What does God have to say about sex? But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. About this episode We understand the struggle wives often have with their body image and how it affects their sexuality. Today we want to revisit this topic to discuss how we can finally embrace our bodies and get comfortable being naked with our husbands. Why is having a positive body image such a challenge for women? What can we do to combat messages that make us feel worse about ourselves? Do we have any responsibility to take care of our bodies? Despite how we feel about ourselves, most husbands find their wives beautiful. But what about the wife whose husband criticizes her appearance? What advice from your own journey would you give to help a wife embrace a positive body image? rom the Bible What does God have to say about body image? For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. About this episode Today we're talking about something that most women are thinking about at this time of year — taking better care of our health. If you're like us, you're probably thinking about getting in shape, eating a healthier diet, getting more sleep, or losing some weight over the next few months. And your reasons, like ours, are probably pretty straightforward — you want to look better. You want to feel better. You want to have more energy. And you want to avoid getting sick. But there's a bonus reason for taking care of your health that you may not know about — improving your sex life. So let's talk about some of the ways that good health can lead to better sex and intimacy in your marriage. From the Bible What does God have to say about this? "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies," 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Today we're talking about higher desire wives. But whether your sexual interest is higher or lower than your husband, you'll benefit from our conversation. Sponsor Learn more HERE. From the Bible What does God have to say about higher desire wives? “The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife” (1 Corinthians 7:3-4). “Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion” (1 Corinthians 7:8-9). “Let us go early to the vineyards to see if the vines have budded, if their blossoms have opened, and if the pomegranates are in bloom— there I will give you my love” (Song of Songs 7:12). “All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves; I looked for him but did not find him. I will get up now and go about the city, through its streets and squares; I will search for the one my heart loves” (Song of Songs 3:1-2).
