Season 5, Episode 45: Show Up and Be HeardToday's episode of the podcast is an interview with graphic designer Bhavini Lakhani, all about finding balance, building self-awareness, and letting go of guilt when it comes to rest.We dive into the unexpected reality of freelance life, the power of recognising your personal patterns, and how rest, boundaries, and doing absolutely nothing can actually help you be more productive. It's a real, honest, and inspiring chat that so many women in business will relate to — especially if you've ever felt stuck in a funk or struggled to give yourself permission to slow down.BOSS THINGS YOU'LL LEARN IF YOU TUNE IN:How to spot the signs you might be stuck in a work-related funkWhy rest and doing nothing are essential for long-term productivityThe importance of flexibility, self-awareness, and proactive self-careBhavini (or Bhav!) has been bringing brands to life through design since 2005. After a few years in the corporate world, she launched B81 Designs in 2011, where she now helps business owners discover their perfect visual identity and stand out in style. Her design approach blends classic principles with bold, colourful twists that prove professional definitely doesn't have to mean boring. When she's not designing, you'll find her perfecting her coffee game, lifting heavy at the gym, indulging in pistachio tiramisu, or hanging out with her family and their rabbits. If you enjoyed this episode or found it useful, then I would really appreciate if you could take just a few minutes to give it a review on whatever platform you are listening on - because every one I get really does make me do a little squeal and a happy dance!LINKS YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO CHECK OUT:Connect with Bhavini on Instagram, LinkedIn or FacebookCheck out Bhavini's websiteCONNECT WITH BECCI:Connect with Becci on Instagram, LinkedIn or FacebookJoin Becci's email communitySUPPORT THE SHOW:If you love this podcast and would like to show your support and say thank you, you can do so here.EPISODE TRANSCRIPTTap to downloadThis podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy

What does it ACTUALLY mean to be "data driven", and are #CROs adequately data driven? Should we be MORE data driven? Are there some opportunities for us to actually leverage intuition more? Will Shiva keep asking Bhavik "The Sick" loaded questions? Short answer? Yes. Bhavik "The Sick" Patel and Shiva Manjunath discuss this pretty interesting topic, which may seem controversial, but there is actually a decent amount of truth to it. We got into: -What it ACTUALLY means to be data driven. Spoiler: the bar is pretty freaking high - Where are the legitimate (and not so legitimate) ways to utilize "intuition" in the CRO process - Your coworkers with domain expertise MAY have a point to override (some) data. As long as it's not entirely ego driven, we should hear them out! To be clear - we definitely aren't saying "throw away all data and never use it - trust intuition always forever for everything". There is some middle ground to be had, with some very legitimate reasons (some practical, some not) to introducing 'expertise' into the conversation IN ADDITION with data. There is always some middle ground

In the episode, Shiva and Bhavik "The Sick" Patel discuss prioritization frameworks. Theoretically, they are a fantastic mechanism for ensuring you have a testing program which focuses on high ROI tests - especially when resources are limited. However, they do have some drawbacks worth discussing, including subjectivity in scoring. 00:00 Episode Start02:30 The Role of Effort in Prioritization03:01 The Need for Objectivity in Prioritization12:38 The Importance of Flexibility in Prioritization17:01 Using Prioritization Frameworks to Prove HiPPOs wrong20:37 Shit You Need to Know (Ben Labay) This week's "Shit You Need to Know" comes courtesy of Ben Labay - check out his post here! http://tinyurl.com/FromAtoBBen
Radhika Vekaria's personal and artistic endeavours are a tribute to her namesake — also known as Radha — the Vedic goddess of unconditional love and devotion, and Lord Krishna's greatest devotee. Her Indian, East African, and British roots have found full expression in her music as has the influence of the free-spirited women in her life, her mother and her two grandmothers, and her father, whose passion for classical and devotional Indian music stirred Radhika from infancy. In the present day, as an award winning multi-instrumental sensory artist, Radhika Vekaria channels healing for the future while pulling from traditions of the past. UK born, with ancestry through East Africa, Radhika's music falls between world music and textural soundscapes. Pushing boundaries of how ancient sacred music can be experienced and perceived, Radhika pulls audiences into a space where heart and mind conjoin. Discovering purpose through art, Radhika brings a wealth of live performance to consciousness based music. After gracing stages in Europe with UK and world music artists and singing lead in the hit stage spectacular INDIA INDIA in Germany, she now resides in the United States. Her collaborations with LA based Grammy nominated producer George Landress (No Doubt, Snuffy Walden), Radhika's music are a powerful ode to her Indian roots, featuring ancient Sanskrit mantras, philosophies and storytelling enhanced by striking sound textures from lands touched by her ancestry. Radhika's album ‘SAPTA: The Seven Ways' established her as an innovative sacred music artist. In 2021 Radhika's sessions on the breakthrough audio app Clubhouse attracted over 100,000 listeners. She was then invited as a special guest performer for Roger Love's (America's no. 1 voice coach) Voice of Success conference. In 2022, Radhika became the first mantra artist at SXSW as well as performing the opening ceremony for the Gala for the International Center of Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) in New York - a global charity saving young children from danger and human trafficking. World renowned artist Jeff Koons featured Radhika's voice alongside those of Rihanna, Sir Paul McCartney and David Bowie for his recent 4 month groundbreaking exhibition 'Apollo' in Greece, with an exploration of the ancient world meeting the new. Radhika has regularly supported organizations like Yoga Gives Back, All Love Kirtan UK, and Art of Living Global events. She has also performed for the likes of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and Deepak Chopra - singing and speaking passionately about the healing and transformational power of mantra to bring this ancient practice from the Vedic Sciences and its philosophies to new audiences everywhere. Radhika is the chosen voice of Chopra Yoga TT program 2023. Patterns and Possibilities - Thriving in Uncertainty with Miss Handie
In this episode, we're continuing our pattern of inquiry with active members of the HSD community. Our special guest is Bhav Patel. Bhav spends most of his time supporting individuals and groups having conversations about their messy realities as they look for direction and make decisions. Usually these are networked groups, often global, often with unevenly distributed power and resources. All of them in some ways are trying to make a difference in people's lives and our planet. You might call him a facilitator, trainer, coach, host, or even a conversational gardener. However, he finds it difficult to define his work and give himself a specific title or badge, and he quite likes that! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hsdpatterns-possibilities/message
