I was joined by recent LPGA Tour card holder in the lovely Robi Liti right after going back to Final Stage of Q School to try and regain her LPGA Tour playing privileges.  The 29 year old from beautiful Siena in Tuscany, Italy went to Arizona State University (ASU) and established a solid Amateur career as a 5x Italian National Champion at various levels, participated in World Amateur Team Championship twice & European Team Championships for Italy, was a finalist at British Girls Championship, won the prestigious PING/ASU Invitational in 2017 while also winning the All American Scholar of the Year and the NCAA Elite 90 Awards in 2018.  Robi would turn pro at the end of 2018 and would gain starts on Epson Tour from 2019. Robi's career would turn in 2023 after a background change in coach would help Roberta regain some confidence which would result in 9 Top 10's on Epson Tour including a T2nd at Black Desert. Overall Liti would finish 8th in Epson Tour Order of Merit to gain full status on LPGA Tour for 2024. We find out how she got on in 2024 in her own words!  We also get to talk about the rise of Italian Golf especially in the women's game with talented players like Benedetta Moresco and Carolina Melgrati coming out the college system. We also chat some Calcio as Roberta although from Tuscany is a Juventus fan.   Reminder that votes close on 13th January for Sports Podcast Awards with the winners getting announced on 30th January. The support so far has been amazing and overwhelming at times. Would love the votes to keep coming. Keep voting for Chasing Pars as Best Golf Podcast!! We made it to Episode 50 of the Behind the Golf Brand Podcast.  In this week's episode, I interview my good friends Teleri Hughes, of Teleri Athletics. As a collegiate golfer at the University of Tennessee, Teleri had the incredible opportunity to work with young aspiring girl golfers at clinics and events with the team, travel for tournaments nationally, and even abroad to play for the National Ladies Welsh Team in the European Team Championships. Through these experiences, she learned just how important golf apparel is for girls and women, and spent time late at night sketching more designs and learning how to start her own business. After graduating from Tennessee in May 2017, Teleri had time to fully focus on launching Teleri Athletics, knowing she wanted to stay in the golf world and combine her love of style with the sport. It was important for her to create apparel that gives golfers of today and the future something that they enjoy wearing but also has what they need to compete. Teleri is able to pull from her history with golf, as well as bring to fruition the changes to the problems she and her friends and competitors all had with the current apparel offerings. All apparel in the collections are named after people who have been influential in her junior, collegiate and amateur career.Support the show (https://legiongolf.co/)

I first met Jennifer Sräga when she was still only fifteen or sixteen years of age. She was playing in the European Team Championship for Germany at the iconic Quinta do Lago in the Algarve region of Portugal. I caught up with her on the 17th hole and watched her play the strategically demanding par five-hole. I cannot remember what she scored on the hole, but as the players stood on the 18th tee, the conversation turned to it being "World handstand day" Before we knew it Jennie had her feet in the air in full handstand mode. Impressive as it was, better was to come just a few minutes later when she played her second shot around and below some trees with a fairway metal. A superb shot that belied her youth, and revealed a player who had experience beyond her years. Listen to the story of Jennifer Sräga. Ridvan (aka Skari of SkaredCast) is on with our special guest in the next installment of the Analyzing Missions series as he talks to us about the European Team Championship format at length. Skari was vice-captain of the Canadian ETC team in 2018 and has been a consistent attendee in previous years, doing his nation proud, and with some help from Josh (who has attended as a freelancer for various teams) the three of them dig into the ins and outs of what is so unique about ETC. Being a team format, there naturally are a lot of differences from the usual style of play- indeed, ETC has developed a meta all its own and one that canny teams have learned to exploit, whether by dictating positions on the team, knowing the terrain, playing to the unusual style of missions that are used for it, or simply by having prior experience with all of these things firsthand. If you're curious about the ETC and what it means for the game as a whole, or are attending a similar event (like ATC or CTC) yourself, you'll want to check this episode out!
